Great honest mechanic shop!! Hard to find these anymore!! Definitely recommend!!
Great service, I have never been dissapointed. .I highly recommend them!
…took my ’88 Jeep Comanche very reliable place, I highly recommend..
Excellent service. Friendly staff and very efficient
Good knowledge got the car in and out in good time runs grate.
My family and I have had both cars worked on here it’s still a great place to get your car worked on but they are having staffing issues so make sure you give them plenty of notice to get your car worked on
You’re rolling the dice with this clown!!! I entrusted Chris with a mint condition pickup truck to replace a heater core that was plugged. He scratched the dash beyond repair; parts of the dash had to be replaced. He created an antifreeze leak that soaked my interior carpet and insulation which both had to be replaced , put a hole in the headliner. He’s just a wannabe shade tree mechanic. This place used to be good but I wouldn’t trust him to work on a bicycle. He did refund me but the damage that he did to my vehicle was extensive !!!!! And cost a LOT more than the refund!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!
Horrible service and a rip off mechanic
Didn’t know what I was talking about with a bent control arm and an alignment. They were no help

Address: 5890 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80212 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Very good people to work with. Geoff volunteered to research the mfg. date on a 100 year old trumoet and a 120 year old coronet of mine while I tried out mouthpieces. I’m amazed he was able to find out about my horns, and helped me find the right mouthpiece at the same time. Their service deoartment helped me evaluate the possible restoration on my coronet & were able to advise me. Great place, great people. Support your local music store!
There’s parking at the new location. Really reasonably priced supplies. Not the best selection for buying instruments though. Since their relocation, seems they’re putting more emphasis on instrument repair. Still probably the best music supply shop in the area
The people employees are professional, knowledgeable, and ready to help!
As with any store like this, you can expect them to be salesmen, though they don’t push too hard and don’t avoid helping you find the lowest priced items.
The technicians are great, but I wish they had a bit more enthusiasm.
If you are testing out brass instruments or such, the practice room they put me in had too much reverb to get accurate samples, even with a recording device. I have yet to ask if they had a more acoustically dry room.
They can order sheet music and products, and have all the basics and many accessories for band musicians.
Like always the services people were just great.
Went in to check out acoustic guitars earlier today. Got an important call as I was about to tune a guitar I was checking out and the guy behind the counter just starts blowing into some sort of wind instrument seemingly deliberately because taking a quick phone call. So I hung up the guitar and just walked out.
But the guy who welcomed me when I walked in seemed nice.
Just terrible experience! Purchased a new wood clarinet 5 months ago. Found out it was cracking, unfortunately happens if not taken care of, but not in the first 5 months.
Took 2+ months to fix, when we finally picked it up, some old guy in the store started telling my 16 year old daughter about keeping it greased every six months- lecturing her because it was so dried out! Finally stepped in and told him…we bought it here less than 5 months ago…in other words, you sold an old dried out clarinet for $2000.00. Will never ever step foot in this store again d/t the service dept.
3. Wildwood Guitars
Address: 500 S Arthur Ave STE 700, Louisville, CO 80027 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
I wish I could give ten stars. I recently purchased a Martin D-35 Johnny Cash Commemorative Edition guitar from Lance at Wildwood Guitars. It arrived today by FedEx. I absolutely love the guitar but that’s a review I’ll leave for Martin Guitars.
My experience dealing with Lance was perfect. His customer service skills and follow up are excellent. He took his time and answered all of my many questions and walked me through making the purchase. Guitar players will appreciate this: He asked me several relevant questions about my playing style and preferences so they could make sure the guitar was setup just right for me.
If you’re looking to buy a guitar, in person or online, I want to encourage you to call Wildwood Guitars and ask for Lance. You will love the experience and he will make sure you get what you’re after. Thanks Lance and thanks Wildwood.
The showroom is closed and their business is now fully online (which I completely missed in the Google overview!). But the owner, Steve, greeted my son and I at the door when I approached to read the sign indicating the closure. Steve was incredibly helpful and directed us to the right resource for what we needed (a good starter bass for a child). Despite a trek out to a closed showroom, he actually saved us a lot of time and hassle! When my son graduates to something higher end, I will call on Wildwood
If you’re looking for a guitar that will have a special place in your heart, you should have a buying experience that has a special place in your mind. Wildwood Guitars provides both.
For context, allow me to digress. Chatei Hatou is a coffee shop in Shibuya, Tokyo, where the baristas pour a master class in customer experience into every cup of coffee. James Freeman, founder of Bluebottle Coffee, ranks it the finest coffee shop in the world. I’ve been to Chatei Hatou. I agree.
The people at Wildwood Guitars gave me that same experience buying an acoustic guitar. Steve (founder), Duncan and John went above and beyond to provide the time and space to throughly compare 5 guitars I’d put on my shortlist. (There are few places that even have such inventory to play!) They offered opinions and support through the process, in the most friendly way possible.
If you’re in Colorado, or plan to visit, put Wildwood on your map of best attractions and walk away with a guitar and a day you’ll never forget.
PS. I was looking for a super jumbo and played various Gibsons and Guilds. A challenging choice. The Guild F55E Burst (rosewood b/s) resonated most with my fingers, my ears and my heart. Photos attached.
Note: A few reviewers have complained that Wildwood’s focus is online and their visit was unsatisfactory. For the best experience, you must make an appointment and request the guitars you’d like to play ahead of time. They will bring you others while you’re there, but best to plan ahead. The fact that they’re mostly online is a benefit for those who can’t visit, and a benefit for those who do, since they have such a broad inventory. But visiting there is for the serious buyer, not just for browsing.
Nice inventory, but really more online-oriented
Info per my call to the store today:
-There is no showroom and the store is not open to the public. They will likely never have a showroom ever again
– all sales staff work from home
– It is a warehouse and if you want to try a guitar, you have to know the specific guitar and they will bring it to you to play on the *sidewalk*
Have been a fan of Wildwood for years with their YouTube videos with Greg Koch. Pretty disappointed to try to visit while on tour only to find the business description is misleading. It’s an online store only.
Inconsistent service. Sometimes they’ll reply to your emails when you want help in buying an item, some other times they’ll ignore you.
Went to Wildwood to purchase a guitar, but the storeroom was closed. A customer was trying out gear in the parking lot with the owner. Why not let one customer in at a time or make an appointment? Anyway, my guitar search continues… Just at another store.
Shop closed its in store experience for covid and never re-opened. They essentially just became like Amazon, embracing a business model to kill brick and mortar in person shopping which is a tragedy for the acoustic guitar world. Used to be a 5 star store… now they’re worse than guitar center.
Slow
Lack of information
And asking of personal information
4. Music & Arts
Address: 7350 W 88th Ave Suite B, Westminster, CO 80021 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
A huge assortment of instruments to learn your new favorite skill!
The staff is friendly and able to help with everything that we needed. Staff is very knowledgeable. I have been a patron of Music and Arts since I was a child and now I use them for my children’s band needs.
Always helpful and friendly staff!
Organized and clean nice staff they don’t buy instruments
I am a music teacher. This is my go to for lesson books for my students.
Was able to buy a great violin
I don’t like leaving a negative review but I think its needed here for 3 reasons. (1) Rental Process was a rip off – I rented a violin and was told I could gain credit towards purchasing one. Sounds great right? Well they didn’t tell at the time of purchase it had to be one of equal value to the rental ($800). Since it was out of my budget I ended up not using that credit. (2) Reimbusement process is a pain – I returned the violin the start of my next month but was charged that same day. In store the employees aren’t empowered to reimburse you. So you’re given a customer service number to call which takes about 30mins to get through the red tape of reimburse. Not a great time. (3) Sold expensive bad product and can’t return – As a first time player I was sold a string cleaner but the thing doesn’t work well at all. Even a towel worked way better. Despite me being in thier system the employees can’t take it back without packaging/receipt. I was told the manager might be able to help but I’m still waiting on that call back.
Overall, a super disappointing experience. The other reviews were right. I shouldn’t have rented here.
Well 6 or so years ago my daughter got her violin from here and everything was fine. She stopped after two years. My youngest son has been playing at it for two and a half years, so we needed a larger violin. Now they want to sell him one. I have had that come up in the past but I always said who knows if the will keep going. Well today they bring out this thing of beauty. My son wants it. It’s only for sale. Oh and the one he brought home, he thought it was a viola we had to look it up. Badly out of tune.
Side bar we could buy it, but the kid never practices and isn’t good. My daughter was way better. Not to be a you know what.
Anyway I ask will you buy it back if he decides he wants to stop. They say no. So we keep renting. What the heck am I supposed to do with a violin once’s he is done? Nothing sells like it use to but really of it was that great why not buy it back. So all in all if this kids goes on to be some great violin guy, then I will buy him one. But a kid nope. I guess after six kids you know how way to many things work. So hey store buy them back sell them used.
Walked in, no hello, no what can I help you with. Walk over to case where violins are which is right in front of the 2 men and I guess I must have been a ghost because I wasn’t acknowledged. So not even going to waste my time.
5. Guitar Hut
Address: 1385 Forest Park Cir #106, Lafayette, CO 80026 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Everyone at Guitar Hut is awesome! Great customer service, wonderful instructors, friendly, helpful, just awesome. If you need a guitar, lessons, kid lessons, strings, whatever guitar related, this is the only place you need.
My boys have taken guitar lessons at Guitar Hut for years and they absolutely love it. The instructors have a positive energy that always gets my kids fired up to practice and fall in love with music every week. Highly recommended.
I had these guys take a look at a signature bass of mine. It had some electrical problems going on with it that were a bit out of their knowledge base but Evan is great guy. Very honest and very hard working. I will return with any other problems I have in the future and I would recommend them. Their pricing is very fair and they are willing to help out customers any way they can.
I called to sign my boys up for guitar lessons and had a few options worked out and was told I would be called back to confirm which times worked. I never heard back. Then, when I called back to confirm options, I was told they didn’t have any of my information logged and there were no longer any time slots available for lessons.
Everyone I have met there seems very nice, but very poorly organized.
6. Affordable Music
Address: 104 Village Pl, Dillon, CO 80435 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Nice selection of new records. Lots of stuff that tends to sell out in Denver.
Great selection of all records, CDs and all music related. Great customer service.
My first stop for any music needs. They sell used gear and have a wide selection of new items as well. Anything from instrument accessories to instruments, they likely have it in stock. And the helpful friendly knowledge of a customer service veteran. Great selection of vinyl and cd’s as well. Gary has been helping local musicians have access to these items before the internet was even a thing. But locally, Gary rocks.
Surprisingly good 45 selection.
Great store, lots of music, plenty of stringed instruments.
I’ve heard good things about it but I was upstairs at pug Ryan’s bar
Terrible customer service. Was out of town for a wedding – asked about return policy and he went on a rant about him being a small business and how he would only give store credit. He was very condescending and unprofessional
A shambles. Nothing affordable. Maybe okay for guitars, but not music. Looks like a yard sale gone bad. Used vinyl is poor quality, C- vinyl and covers disorganized and twice the price of Denver. Boxes of unsorted records strewn about. New stuff is full list price. Not worth the effort of stopping. Waste of time
Owner is a racist. He harassed my friend for shopping while black , four times AFTER he bought a CD. We went outside and had to show the police his recite.
Great place to shop if you are worried someone is impersonating you. Don’t shop there if you are black, he might call the cops.
7. Monkton Guitars
Address: 1505 W 1st Ave A, Broomfield, CO 80020 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Totally awesome shop. Great stuff, cool vibe. No need for a big box store
I took my Strat to get a tuneup here and had a great great experience. My Strat plays like new, I traded some gear, and walked out with a Blues Junior. Dave and his staff were so easy to work with. I can’t say enough things about them or the shop. I’ll be going to them exclusively for all my guitar needs. Go check ‘‘em out.
Monkton Guitars is the go-to guitar shop in Broomfield. It’s a small, comfortable store with lots of eye candy. Dave, the owner, is a knowledgeable, laid back resource. The selection of guitars and equipment is very good and Dave offers solid information.
The shop has new and used equipment and well priced. He has a few jems in the vintage area and he is constantly sourcing new/used gear.
They offer reasonably priced lessons for a variety of skill levels. The shop has comfortable rooms for lessons and to really check out your potential new purchase.
This is a great shop.
great place to try and buy, they know their stuff and are super nice and willing to help you find what you’re looking for. they have great recommendations and will let you play whatever for however long. very cheap for repairs and guitar work, much cheaper than other places. got my frets leveled/crowned and it sounds fantastic, however they did kind of gauge/scratch the neck on several frets. sucks, but not a huge deal as it’s not a high end guitar and the price was right ($60). again, sounds great but i would be weary of bringing a higher end model in as they weren’t very careful about taping off the neck to avoid cosmetic damage.
Best shop around!
do not take your guitars here for repair! simple jobs will end up being 2 hours in labor charges. they will take your working guitar and send you home with a non-working guitar. they will mix up the wiring on the pots. they will give you pots too large so your knobs have a huge gap underneath. unbelievably unprofessional and incapable.
EDIT: The business response is not a fair respresentation. First guitar, volume pots wired backwards. Second guitar, repair only lasted the car ride home. Second fix only lasted the next car ride home. Third fix, incorrect tone mapping and too large of pots. Every single trip a problem. Why would I go back?
8. Mega Music the Musicians Store
Address: 1100 W Main St #2, Sterling, CO 80751 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Mega Music is a quality place to find quality gear. I suggest to anyone looking for an instrument to check out Todd Allen’s online store and his physical store in Sterling. He’ll match a deal you might find elsewhere and can arrange to special order your instrument; then he offers you great customer support as part of the deal. Todd is a great asset to the local community as well. I’ve bought several instruments from him and have had nothing but good experiences.
Best place to get the gear you need!
Todd at Mega Music always goes out if his way to help the community and it is appreciated! He always treats us good!
Good selection and everything a musician needs. Only store in town that I would trust with my equipment. He’s got it
Awaome people to deal with!!!!
Update: Have been dealing with Todd and his store (Mega Music) for a few years now… This man is my go to guy… PERIOD…. Took my Jackson JS32 to him because it wouldn’t stay in tune.. He did a killer job setting it up… 100% perfect now!!!
Kinda high priced but ok selection and kinda rude most of the time I come in not sure why anywayz
went there the other day it was closed. I didn’t really want to wait, I was trying to find an affordable acoustic guitar and since it was closed I went browsing to different stores. (not to mention I did have a price range) I finally went to this pawn shop and found a nice acoustic that fits the sound I was looking for and it was 130$ nothing was wrong with it just old strings. I came back another day to this store and then I was talking to him about how I got this guitar, (I was there to get strings) and he started telling me and being condescending on how I didn’t purchase one from him even tho they were a bit out of my price range he was saying how he could care less if I bought one somewhere else and that I should support the local businesses which I understand but I was looking for something little cheaper. he lectured me and was rude and condescending about it. I was just there for strings so finally decided I will not come back and I’d rather put in the miles to get strings at a different company which I did. this is not Internet trolling or me disliking. he actually lectured me and none of this is trolling or a lie
Todd Allen the owner jipped me. He sold me a keyboard that was faulty. Then didn’t let me have a new power cord to it when that’s all that was wrong. Now I am stuck with two keyboards and really no way to hook up the second one. Plus he won’t give me credit for the old one. Do not go there.
I’ve worked a gig with this stage and production company 2 years now, both years have been a nightmare. Sound and lights are horrible for a live band and the owner is very rude.
9. Drum City-Guitar Land
Address: 9225 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
everything about this place is good, good instruments, good service,,,, best place in denver area.
Great store. Knowledgeable staff. Shop here, not corporate monster stores.
Cool selection.
Nice music equipment… But very expensive
I ordered an item online that was in stock that the time of ordering. I even called in the store to confirm. I received an email A WEEK LATER saying my order was canceled because the item was out of stock. First and last time I ever buy from this store.
Inquired over the phone (45 min drive) on needing 2x Iron Cobra Wooden Beaters. “Got them for you” was his response. Fight traffic to get there, buy product and trustingly got back in car. Upon inspection in parking lot, one is labeled CB90W (correct), the other CB90F (wrong). Stems are different and neither comes with weights. Looking closer the wood is shaped differently, different sizes and completely different types of wood. Just paid for two “new” Wooden Beaters that weigh differently and have different bounce properties. This place will lie just to make a dollar. Never going back.
I came in a few times for a cocktail drum purchase and didn’t find prices that fit my budget (which is fine, it was nice equipment and they’re a used store!). I came back to try and trade things in for accessories instead (bass pedal/Hi-Hat stand) but the trade in value was changed when I got there if I didn’t buy multiple items. Again fair enough, it’s a used shop and they need to make money.
I came yesterday to grab a floor Tom ring and Tim was pretty short with me a bit immature saying “Hey, we finally sold you something!” tried to upsell me on a bass drum head for my new kick and when I was said goodbye, he ignored me while walking away.
I truly do not like to write these messages or send negativity to a used music shop as I had been apart of one for a very long time but if you can’t find me what I’m looking for at a price that is in my range: do not make it my problem and make me feel unwanted. I sent an email addressed to Tim specifically to remedy the situation and I haven’t heard anything back. So I’m writing it here to not treat others this way.
Everyone needs to make money but jeez, don’t run your customers out when they finally find something that works for them with you.
10. Jensen Guitars
Address: 360 Main St, Longmont, CO 80501 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Amazing selection, friendly and helpful staff, and it’s a great place to explore! They have tons of guitars and also a selection of rare drums, woodwinds, classical instruments, and various accessories. Prices ended up being equal or cheaper than online due to their loyalty program rewards.
Gave me incredible advice on a PA system, had the entire line up of products for me to choose from and the unit I picked was on sale for a great discount. In addition, I now have a discount for another future purchase and I will definitely be spending my money at Jensen again.
Great customer service !!! Order new Seymour Duncan pickups, on Wednesday ,in my mailbox Saturday !!! Thanks guys!!!
Bought the tool I need next in my grand plan. 5 string Bass. It’s a pretty beauty.
They have more than just guitars they also sell wind instruments and string instruments
We love this place. Kids do lessons here and the teachers are great. Friendly staff.
Great place if you are looking for a cheap jangly Chinese made guitar. Spend a few minutes with the owner so he can brag about his skills and insult your intelligence!
They didn’t communicate with me and made me wait a month for a simple violin repair. The repair also wasn’t done well and had to be brought back days later to have bridge fixed again. Days later it only broke yet again……
Nice selection but not very good customer service. The cashier seemed more interested in planning his next ski trip than helping us out.
Edit: I did not review the wrong place. We watched the cashier playing around with Google Maps on the store computer (maybe not skiing, but definitely not work). We spent about 15 minutes there and he never greeted or acknowledged us. We had much better experiences at Larry’s and Guitars Etc.
11. Olde Town Pickin’ Parlor
Address: 7515 Grandview Ave, Arvada, CO 80002 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
I can’t say enough good about the guitar techs here; very detail-oriented and very communicative about what’s going on with your guitar, and they take their setup process seriously. This is THE place for acoustic (electric too) guitar setup/repair. Oh yeah, they sell some stringed instruments too…
Knowledgeable owner.
This is the only guitar shop in town that carries my Elixer light medium strings. I always seem to learn something when I go in there.
The shop is beautiful!
Really overpriced and dry instruments. Very friendly though.
They r rude n loud, they stand outside with there electric guitar so u can hear them 3 blocks away. when asked to turn it down so those of us who have to be close dont go deff, they got verbally violent and turned up the speekers. Making the situation worse. All of this and they wernt even open. Dont shop with here they dont deserve your money!!!
First…the prices are way too high! The proprietor is a pompous chap to say the least. I walked into The Old Pickin’ Parlor today with $1500 in my pocket in hopes of finding a decent guitar. The gentleman who was running the store looked me up and down (sized me up) and went back to talking to the postman who had stopped to deliver the mail. Not a hello or howdy. I just moved here from Portland, Oregon and found that to be out of character from the friendliness I have found in the Denver area. I then started to look at some of the guitars. The store has some nice Martins, Collings, What looked to be Rhode Island Guilds behind the counter, etc.. I also noticed that the prices were inflated. I have been a collector/player since the 70’s and Have bought guitars from coast to coast. I know the going rate, and these were boutique prices. The real kicker was the guy behind the counter. After his initial glance, he never said another word to me. He made/answered a couple of calls of a personal nature in which he talked about playing an open mic the previous night. He called the sound man at this venue a 25 year old idiot with a tin ear, but despite that, he and his partner “wowed” the crowd anyway. His tone was abrasive and I thought it was so unprofessional to speak like that in front of a (now not so likely) paying customer. I decided to exit the store, and upon doing so looked over my shoulder. The guy was glaring at me! I had to laugh…wow! He did me the best favor possible, because I went to another acoustic specialty store in town and found a Guild NT-72! They only made 200 of these in 1994 (before Fender bought them) and it is unbelievable. Even more unbelievable is that I paid only $1700 for it. It was only $100 more than one of the stock J-50 Guild’s that this guy had at the Old Pickin’ Parlor. Look up the NT-72…you will see what a gem it is. Thanks brother! You may have wowed the crowd at the Open Mic, but you left this audience member(customer) unimpressed and slightly offended.
NOTE: There are other places that will treat you like an old friend in Denver…Try them first:)
12. Music & Arts
Address: 8475 S Yosemite St Suite B, Lone Tree, CO 80124 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
I bought a used violin from their sister store after deciding I wanted to try to pick it up again after almost 20 years of not playing. The violin I received needed the bridge installed and needed tuning, so the sister store sent me to Music and Arts for help. Christopher helped me get the violin set up and ready to play. I told him my situation and he helped me pick out a music book to learn from and some accessories. What I appreciated most was that he was genuinely excited to share a love of music with someone looking to get back into it. Thank you for your help!
I play thr clarinet and the saxophone and got them from here. I also take lessons and this place always has what I need.
Got my guitar here manager was super nice and understood what I wanted and helped me in every way she could
Your one stop shop whether you want to buy or rent or repair musical instruments. They have friendly staff with reliable service and they do have branches at many places in Colorado
Very limited options. Good for beginner or any starter . Cheaper instruments and cheap music stand. Not recommended for intermediate or professional needs :/
Good selection of musical gear, instruments, some sheet music, and other necessities. The rental prices are high – the markup on their instruments is, too- but overall it’s a good store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Very poor experience with lessons. Tried to cancel lessons because we were traveling for the holidays. We missed 3 of 4 lessons before they called and asked why we weren’t coming. We had originally planned on continuing our lessons, but after multiple refusals to work with us (saying “you signed the contract and there’s nothing we can do”) by staff and manager, that’s not going to happen. I wasn’t expecting much as they are technically correct – we did sign, but didn’t understand the auto renewal policy. They can do better, and should.
Purchased a viola starter pack at a school rental night. Was told it would be delivered to the school within a few days. It is now more than a month later and my kid never got the starter pack. To top it off the customer service line does not answer the phone. I sent an email to see if I could get it resolved and the same day I got a random $30 charge on my credit card. This has been a very frustrating experience and my daughter still has no viola pack!
I rented a trumpet for my daughter and as I was returning it, one of the workers said that I could get a hundred dollars credit for a different instrument. I told her that I would wait until my kids were out of school so they could pick which instrument they wanted. Last Thursday, I went in with my kids to return the trumpet and find a new instrument. I gave the trumpet to the man at the cashier, expecting him to complete the process with the credit opportunity. Without a word, he returned the trumpet without mentioning the credit opportunity. When I asked about it, he said “Sorry I already returned it. I can’t do anything about it.” This employee scammed me, and his response was a pathetic excuse of an apology. I am incredibly disappointed. If I could give zero stars, I would.
13. Music Depot
Address: 2318 W 17th St, Greeley, CO 80634 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
I have instruments that aren’t from the store and the will still replace the strings.
The staff is really friendly and helpful and I love that they help with all my questions and that they have an answer for them I will use this store for all of my emergencies with music and will continue to use this store as I grow up and add more instruments to my learning.
It was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The 30% off deal did not hurt either. Walked out with a nice and complete electric guitar set. I am pretty happy. I also had dropped acoustic guitar to be looked over and re-strung the week before, unfortunately they were too busy to finish that early.
Nice shop. Descent service. Nice people
They had a book I needed.
Will not treat your instruments well and provide poor service at a ridiculous rate
The absolute worst experience. They do not charge your card properly for payments. They do not return phone calls and when they answer it always is someone else you need to talk to. When they mess up and don’t charge you, nor answer calls, then you get a pounding knock at the door at 9 at night serving you. Then when you pay the entire note they give you no ownership papers.
This company is a joke. They are rude and steal from people.
Buyer beware. To many other places to shop. Thanks for the worst experience ever and I will spend a lifetime avoiding anything music depot. It anything you fundraise or sponsor.
Totally disgusted customer in Colorado!!!!!
I purchased a Teton acoustic loved it after a couple of weeks it started to have a lot of buzzing when played that’s to be expected it came with a free set up but to get that done is not a easy thing to do it’s always two weeks from now no appointments! Just bring it in so I don’t think I will be back for the amp or what ever else I needed I will have to pay to have it set up ! And it was in the price ! Not a cheap guitar!
14. Bogey’s West Music
Address: 311 Third St, Castle Rock, CO 80104 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Great little music store, lots of records of all genres.
Super clean and organized! Tammy was extremely friendly and helpful as well!
Loved this music store! Bought several albums, new and old as well as old 45’s. Had an Awesome Conversation with the Owner about Stevie Nicks and when I return to Castle Rock I will certainly be back to search for more music! Thank You!
Get all my music’s here. Great place.
Awesome local Vinyl, music and extras shop. Always has new stuff coming in, owners and staff are always very nice. Would definitely recommend stopping in if you have the chance!
Great used selection.
15. HB Woodsongs
Address: 3101 28th St, Boulder, CO 80301 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Great music store! Cute interior packed with acoustic guitars, electric guitars, banjos, mandolins, and ukuleles. I was actually there to rent a trumpet. Had a really interesting conversation with the person who repairs instruments.
HB Woodsongs is a stake in Boulder. If you need anything band or string instrument related please come sorry your local music store! The friendly and knowledgeable staff will be glad to help you find the right instrument, strings, teacher… They have it all here.
I’ve ALWAYS had excellent service at; H.B.Woodsongs….The employees are knowledgeable, friendly and always make quality suggestions… I have recommended them to many of my friends and fellow professional musicians… I don’t hesitate to recommend their products and services. With regards, Randall Dubis
Go to place in Boulder for all of my acoustic instrument needs. Good people, excellent service, nice atmosphere.
Called long distance for a specific piece of sheet music. While they do not have it in the store, the sales rep named Derek was extremely helpful and courteous. Kudos to him.
Attentive staff. Good selection. Prices are average to high.
Very friendly staff, unfortunately way over-priced. You can find some of the exact same items on ebay or Amazon for less than half the price at this store.
16. Flipside Music
Address: 2231 S Platte River Dr, Denver, CO 80223 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Awesome little shop with very knowledgable and helpful staff. They have private demo rooms and no pressure sales attitude, which apparently works because I buy something every time I go. Spend your money here on things that make you happy:-)
As a new guitar player, it can be intimidating going to a music gear shop. Not Flipside! I’ve been in several times and the guys there are always friendly and cool. They let me know on my first visit that I was welcome to bring in any of my own instruments or gear so I can check out how they sound with possible purchases. Once I found a guitar I liked at another store (which they complimented me on and chatted with me about), they helped me pick out a killer Orange practice amp and I never felt pressured. I haven’t bought any pedals yet, but when I am ready – you better believe Flipside is where I will be going. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the market for any gear.
In an industry full of rip-off artists and know-nothing big box stores–Flipside Music is a breath of fresh air. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I felt appreciated, welcomed, and understood by the guys.
The store is small, but they have the best selection of pedals in the Denver area. Tons of every day brands to hard to find custom effects.
Their selection of guitars is well thought out and beautifully displayed. I only wish they carried more amp brands. Here’s to their long-term success! Denver needs you!
Good inventory for a small place.
Very knowledgeable staff and unique instruments
First Visit. Nice small shop, great pedal selection and some nice guitar brands (Reverend, G&L among others). Really friendly folks.
Overly expensive and also lots of homeless people hanging outside on the street near by. It’s a dump.
17. Guitars Etc
Address: 750 9th Ave, Longmont, CO 80501 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Guitars Etc is a fantastic place to shop for anything instrumental. Everyone there has always been super helpful and even though my son and I would just follow my daughter in, we liked to stay and visit. Also have the best independent instrument repairman downstairs. Keep up the awesome work guys.
Been coming here for years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Todd and everyone here is very friendly and knowledgeable.
They even helped me get a bass guitar painted perfectly to match one of my girlfriends favorite musicians. (It was a gift for her)
If you need anything music related these guys have it or will do anything they can to get it for you!
What more to say is there? Just go check it out!
Great store, great customer service. Luthier is fantastic with quick turnaround. Highly recommended!
Knowledgeable staff, decent prices. Everything you need.
Staff was attentive and there was a good selection of items.
Todd and the staff there are always helpful. Best selection of new guitars in town.
Really disappointed. They have so many nice guitars and not one nice employee. I probably won’t but anything from this store.
I had gone into this store with full intention to buy a guitar because I will admit, the selections are good. However when I had found an Epiphone guitar for a family member that felt good one of the workers had come up to me for him to start passive aggressively telling me that I was playing the guitar too hard making it un sellable. I feel like if he had the knowledge about guitars would know that you do have to strum an electric guitar with a pick in order for it to make sound. Crazy how you have to do that for a guitar to do something. All of the workers make the good selection not matter anymore. Don’t go there they have no intention to do something about any bad reviews proven by how they don’t respond to any of those. They don’t care at all about the people. They just want money.
The staff is anti-social, the owner is mean. Enough said.
Ordered a used king trombone. Was in really good condition. No surprise damages or anything, I’d order from here again
Gina is a consummate musical instrument expert, especially when it comes to Flutes, Horns, and the litany of Brass Band instruments. I reached out via email to her business after hours and received a return phone call immediately and she proceeded to run me thru the gamut of her Saxophone collection on hand and educated me on each and every one I inquired about and lastly she offered an a phenomenal deal on a mint condition Sax that I would have been foolish to bypass. To top it all off she had the instrument overnighted to me (unbeknownst to me). My inspection proved that she was spot on in her description on the instruments condition. I can’t give enough accolades to Gina and her team. Thanks a million Gina!!!
We were looking for a professional Getzen 3062AFR bass trombone online for WEEKS, when we came across this store. We were able to get the Getzen 3062AFR bass trombone used (but in impecable condition) for an excellent price. A new Getzen 3062AFR is very expensive, so we eagerly bought it. As we purchased it, Gina was very helpful and gave us photos and a thorough description of the instrument. As the product shipped, we were frequently updated on where it was on its process. An amazing store.

20. Music Go Round
Address: 2925 S College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Strasburg , Colorado , United States
Hear ye! Hear ye! Come one come all to the best music store in FOCO!!!! Seriously If you’re your new to the game, a local musician, or just passing through this is your place.
Affordable instruments in good condition and the staff is very helpful
Great staff, great selection, and great prices. I always go here first to spend my money.
Pretty cool…!!!
Pricey stuff. But good condition. Great service. Would love to go back and see what else I may want to get in the future
Nice service, but if it wasn’t clear enough yet it’s mostly just used gear and selling used gear, nothing else really.
I do not recommend this store. I have been a faithful customer for many years and tried to support local business, however this particular Music Go Round is by far the worst. I have brought in guitars and basses that I have played for years only to be told they have warped necks or something else is wrong with them. I have brought these same instruments to either Guitar Center (Fort Collins/Arvada)or the other two Music Go Rounds in Denver (Littleton specifically) and they had no issues and said all they needed was a little set up. While the owner is a good guy, the manager is completely un-knowledgeable and very rude. Also, their return policy is completely different from the other Music Go Rounds only allowing 7 days and in store credit only, and while they claim it’s stated everywhere it is not musician friendly as sometimes we need more time to see if equipment is going to work for us. Guitar Center is a much more musician and user friendly store, and I would highly advise taking the trip to the other locations to be treated fairly.
Came in with my wife yesterday. Picked your sign off the ground on my way in the store… someone thanked me. that was the only employee interaction I had in 10 minutes of browsing. Not a single person offered me help or asked me if I wanted to play anything. I was here to spend money. you have 500$ shecktor that would have been sold. and the 170 bass would have been also. and a wireless pickup system. but i felt like i wasn’t valued, i grabbed a couple strings and left. oh well i guess?
Had good experiences in the past here both buying and selling but chose to offer me $200 for $1500 worth of bass gear. At least guitar center offered me 50% of the total worth. Avoid if you are selling. If you are buying check EVERYTHING over as much of the wind instrument stock has issues.
EDIT: Went back last week to trade another guitar. The salesperson claimed that the neck was twisted (so they of course couldn’t buy it) which was debunked later by a good luthier. I really want to like this store but they don’t employ honest people.
