friendly, helpful , knowledgeable staff. competent too
Cool
Awesome place! Friendly people that know what there talking about
They have an extensive selection of instruments & accessories. The staff is helpful & courteous. I will definitely be back!
Awesome
Nice guys, if you live in the Valley and need work done they are a good bunch to go see.
These Guys has absolutely no clue about what they’re selling/doing.
Better drive 100 miles more instead dealing with these non professional “sellers??????”
Keep you money don’t buy here
Purchased a guitar and amp with all of the accessories for a new player. Upon picking up the guitar, the amp I picked out was sold, and another amp was put on the table with no explanation of where the other amp was. The amp was a decent brand, so I didn’t say anything, and the amp was also new. After using the amp, I had significant issues that I had to troubleshoot. Nothing worked. I returned them amp and explained what I had done to troubleshoot, and they did not want to look at it. I asked for the original amp I picked out, and the staff became angry and aggressive. I attempted to calm things down and solve the issue, but then they gave me the amp that I had originally played and asked me to leave. I will never return.
Ordered a Small Rodent from DadShoeGazers and loved it so much that I ordered a second pedal, Flying pig. Couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. Would strongly recommend.
This is a great guitar shop. I’ve had Todd (owner) set up all of my instruments, and he does an excellent job. His repair/set up work is reasonably priced, and the instrument sounds and plays incredible after he has finished. I’m a gigging musician, so I’m pretty tough on my instruments, but he helps keep me on stage, and I know I can count on his support. He’s got a fairly quick turnaround time too. The only aspect of his shop I can’t comment on is purchase of new instruments, but I’ve purchased associated electronics there for installation, and he’s fairly priced there too.
It’s nice when the owner of a shop shares the wonder of guitar that never seems to leave some of us. Todd still has that, as is obvious when you bring him something to work on.
My son takes violin lessons here. Great and reasonably priced
Todd is great cares about his customers and service is top notch
Great place,,,good helpful staff
With excellent equipment.
Two thumbs up
Nice assortment of guitars and stuff and Todd is awesome go in and check it out
Nice little music shop. Friendly owners and a pretty cool selection of guitars.

Athena is such a fun, patient, and highly knowledgeable teacher! Lessons with her fly by. I’d recommend her to anyone as a music teacher!
Ms Athena is lovely! 3 of my sons are taking lessons from her; Violin, Cello & Piano. Their progression is amazing. They are motivated to practice & go to lessons because she creates a warm, fun, comfortable atmosphere. Her years of experience shines through her teaching style & you can feel her love for music. We are thankful we found Ms Athena & HIGHLY recommend her if you are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced music teacher! ❤️

The guys that work here are absolutely polite and friendly!! I recognize them for all instruments, not just Trombone ❤️
Very helpful with instructions on how to use and clean instruments!
This is the best music store in Anchorage! Great service and very helpful. I got a piano and they were able to answer all questions! And great prices. I recommend coming here
Lots of horns and guitars
got a mic from them and the cashier that day detailed which one is which…great customer service
Helpful, friendly staff, well stocked, reasonable prices.
I agree with the previous review, went to horn doctor, they quoted me $250-500 for my sax to be repaired. Took it to Music Man, $50 and a week later, the sax sings. How does this shop justify $250-$500 when another can do fix it for $50 blows my mind.
Hello review readers, I bought a pitch pipe from here, only to get home and learn that it was defective. Like many of us up here, we do not live in the Anchorage area, thus my visits to Anchorage are saved for when there are enough things to take care of to justify the drive into town. Needless to say I did not get the pitch pipe tested at home and back in Anchorage within 7 days. This, I just learned, is the return policy for The Horn Doctor. Therefore, when I recently went into the store, told them of the defect, they tested the “D” on the piano, agreed it was not a “D” and responded, it’s outside the 7 day return window, there’s nothing we can do. There is something I can do…. warn others so that we can be careful what we buy here, as they are not willing to stand behind the products they sell.

Great food and great company to be had. Love this place!
Got the black coffee. It was delicious.
Very nice place. Good food and good fellowship.
Good coffee and friendly service.
I mainly go there for Big Js BBQ catering but the whole place is lovely w a wonderful deck along back
Food was very good
Am awesome spot! Superior customer service, great atmosphere, great coffee!
So established in 2017 and the movie was in 2001.. do I even need to say more?
The food is bland and not very appealing either.
Tried the pork and brisket dried bland overcooked.
friend brought me some to try he had the bolt sandwich?
was not expecting this fancy plated food at all was expecting it to have that original typical backyard or tailgate style BBQ to it.
None of that. I wouldn’t drive the distance for food that doesn’t
even look like any passion was put into it.
If I wanted something like this but with actual care and passion and love put into it. I would have just bought a ticket and flew over to philadelphia and head straight towards and into dalessandro’s steaks. But I don’t cause I can actually make better food than what these guys push out. And no I will not even throw that out as a challenge.
But if this is what passes for food for those
who have no taste buds be my guess and have a good day
10. The Music Man
Address: 4623 Old Seward Hwy, Anchorage, AK 99503 , Tanaina , Alaska , United States
Staff is knowledgable and very helpful. We’ve appreciated all their advice as we venture through our kids music lessons.
They were so kind and took the time to have a lesson. They taught our 11 year old how to take care of her violin and how to put her music stand together. Excellent customer service and reasonable prices.
I’m sure the establishment is a very nice one, I’ve heard great things. The parking lot, however, is a complete cluster.
Great selection, fairly priced.
Wow. They have everything you need.
Too expensive
Rude staff, wish I could give them no star. I’ll never go back!
Poor service, DO NOT BRING ANYTHING HERE. Your item will break at the first use and they will act like it’s your fault and not a faulty repair job. Rip off.

Owner is a really awesome guy
Great costumer service
Extremely nice
Super friendly and helpful staff
Excellence is available.
Great service, my family has purchased several acoustic guitars and a stratocaster from Petr’s shop. I still regularly use the acoustic that was purchased about 5-6 years ago, no quality problems. Had a problem with one and he provided great service in getting it fixed. Great prices and support.
Best place
They know a lot about instruments here and the store seems nicely stocked with the essentials.
It was goodness
Nice selection of stringed instruments.
Young woman at front counter helpful, smiled, and made eye contact.
Guitar room guy not engaging or helpful, more interested in his phone than engaging with me.
Every guitar has a “do not handle” sign with a sign that there is a 5 minute limit on handling a guitar. No place to sit and try an instrument.
Other staff did not acknowledge me at all.
I was the only customer at the time.
I would maybe go back if I needed something but the customer service was absent at the time of my visit.
Went to have my viola restrung with new strings. Wasn’t as expensive as I had thought it would be, ($72 for all new strings and a new bow)To my surprise when I got it home my “A”string sounds awful! I’ve played cello and viola for a long time, so I’ve ruled out poor playing, and the instrument is of excellent quality. Kinda bummed.
The other down side was the lady that first talked to me was rude and not helpful. I wrote it off as a bad day but when I went to pick it up she was still kinda rude. She treated me like I knew nothing and had little to no respect for my opinions as well as experience. Please address costumer service.
