I had no idea this wonderful shop existed. Luckily I found out about Joleen’s from a dear friend. I needed something for a special occasion and she sent me there. I was blown away! I’ve lived in the Keys for 3 years and never knew of this shop. Renae was so helpful and what I found was fabulous! I will be going back and back and back! I’ll be sending friends and acquaintances too. Such a “Hidden Treasure” in the Keys!
Store has a great vibe. Friendly staff and not too bad looking either:-)
It’s an experience not to be missed! Home goods, fashion, books, jewelry, an amazing array of beautiful, fun, interesting items. I find something new every visit. Jolene is sweet as pie, and Renee is a force of nature! She will find exactly what you want with wit and humor and make you smile every time.
Lots of nice product to choose from. They likely have most anything you are looking for in the boutique category. However, I found it a bit overwhelming. Clothes are so tight in the racks that you can’t move them. Personally, I would prefer there was less in the store but I am not a huge shopping fan either.
Said it was open on Thursdays, closing at 5pm…and nope. Shop was closed down. Disappointed.
Edit to owner reply:
No signs in the window explaining the inconvenience and the lights inside were on. The rest of the plaza was operating, and there was no way we could have known that at the time. Sorry for the poor review. Maybe a better one next time we are in town!

Excellent staff including Carter who made us feel welcome and helped us choose the best coffees and teas for each person in our party. We also tried the croissant which was the best one by far I’ve had since France. Make sure you have yours heated up.
So good so beautiful. Huge recommendation.
Service and organization needs a little work this morning. Pastry was not completely cooked. Servers forgot our coffee. Took a good 15 minutes to get two ice coffees and a pastry to go. It was not busy at the time. Very nice location none the less.
Clean, friendly, reasonably priced, good food. For some reason they ask for a tip immediately after you place an order and pay at the counter. Not sure why.
Best place for coffee and breakfast in the upper keys.
We were here 5 yrs ago. Now, The sandwiches are over priced for what you get. Coffee is more than$5 for a large cup! Service is so-so. Not worth stopping next time.
Don’t go here. Staff is extremely inconsistent and made inappropriate comments about my tattoos. Said I should cover them up. Coffee is good, food is ok. But staff has no place to make comments about someone’s tattoos. I will not be returning.
Cappuccino no bueno

I have a Jeep and had my roof off during a storm. Radio was ruined.called Steve , he installed a marine radio and new amp . He definitely knows he’s talking about the job. Looks better than a factory installed system extremely happy. Definitely recommend him.
I contacted Motion Marine Audio last minute while I was in Islamorda, Florida because my car radio/navigation system went bad. I purchased a new monitor and I needed it installed before I drove across the county.
Motion Marine actually came to where my car was parked and installed the radio while I was off enjoying my time on the water. when I returned to the vehicle the completed work was immaculate. Top notch installation, no mess, no stench of burning wires or anything out of the ordinary. The navigation screen looks flawless and the audio sounds great!
I would recommend Motion Marine Audio to anyone in need of their skills. They are professionals and charge very reasonable prices considering the caliber of work they perform.
Steve was amazing. Absolutely prompt getting to us, extremely knowledgeable about what we needed to replace our marine audio system, and an absolute delight to work with. I couldn’t more highly recommend him, and would give 10 stars if that was possible. We will never use anyone else when we have A/V issues and give our experience an A+++++!
Es un pintoresco lugar de Tabernier en Florida key.

Great place at any time. The pie and other goods are fantastic, the pie has so much flavor. Also pie on a stick was a favorite for me and my gf.Then the garden was just the cheery on top.
Cool little place to take a break from the driving to key west. Be sure to visit the back patio.
Delicious Pies and The Key Lime Aid drink is Sooooo Good
They have a beautiful hidden garden where you can sit to eat your pie. The pie is a tad expensive, but it is really good. Make sure to bring a credit card. No cash accepted.
Great key lime pie on a stick!!
Amazing key lime everything!
Just okay. It lacks that key lime pie tartness.
Also pretty pricey at 7.50 a slice. Not sure how but Kermit’s on Duval St in key west was less expensive.
Seating area is amazing.
Don’t have tables, are expensive the key limes, the Lemonade ugliest and is this just a store.

We came down for a five day vacation and we stopped in everyday and tried a different pastry and smoothie each day from fresh mango, mamey, guava, empanadas, pandebono and guava and cheese pastries! Even better Mrs. Maria treated us like family and told us about places to go in slamorada. You have to stop by whenever in the area or your missing out!
I had a Super Cuban Sandwich, I got super full , deliciously Loved it. recommended, services its good, clean little cute cafe
Lovely people running a wonderful coffee shop. Outstanding pastries and cafe con leche. Local gem! Other goodies as well. The place smelled amazing.
Great Cuban sandwich and coffee. The cat was very friendly too.
Food and coffee was great, they had friendly service, but i hope they can expand and get a bit more room to sit indoors.
This location is right off US 1.
Staff are friendly and the food and drink are good. Small inside; 2 seats at each window and 2 small tables outside.
I did have to wait longer than usual for the Homewrecker Burrito, but that’s because there was some confusion between the cashier/host and cook. Also I got a cold cafe con leche instead of a hot one – but! I will say it was really good! And because she made that mistake, she gave a free empanada.
All in all, I would stop again
Showed up on Mar 15th to a sign on the door saying they’re temporarily closed. You couldn’t have updated your hours or posted something on the website letting people know?
Prices are way too much
It’s never open! Always a sign on the window with a poor excuse for being closed. Also, condition of parking lot is hazardous to cars.
Burgers are supposed to be cooked when ordered, these were not, they we’re burnt , dry and not juicy like they are supposed to be. Fries were cold, cashier was rude, I asked her if she was angry with me. She said no, I am just tired okay!!!.
Bad
It’s a McDonald’s inside a Wal-Mart. Gross to both! If your kid is hungry and wants a Happy Meal then I guess it’s okay but why on Earth would anybody else ever want to eat here is beyond my comprehension. No milkshakes at this location either.

Was able to squeeze in with Cassandra while in town on my honeymoon & I cannot say enough good things her and her shop! Everything was beautiful, clean & welcoming. I immediately felt comfortable and my tattoo came out exactly how I was hoping. Will absolutely be getting more work from Cassandra in the future.
On my vacation to Florida Keys I had Cassandra give me an orange blossom tattoo. Great experience, very professional, clean and spot on with what I wanted. Looks beautiful and I love it ❤️. Thank you.
Cassandra’s shop is by far the cleanest shop I have ever been to. Her art is beautiful and decorates the walls, along with local artists. I had her do a coverup with a new tattoo of a tarpon. She designed it after our consultation and when I got there I was blown away at what she had designed. It turned out better than I expected and my wife and absolutely love it. Cassandra has such a light touch, I could have gone to sleep for most of the session.
Thank you Cassandra! I can’t wait for your next creation!
15. Level Up Barbershop
Address: 91421 Overseas Hwy Suit 103, Tavernier, FL 33070 , Tavernier , Florida , United States
Only place to go for a cut. Owner is very professional and will take care of all your hair needs.
Best barbershop in the keys. Friendly, clean and above all always a great haircut.
Level up Barber was great. Decided to get my sons hair cut while on vacation and the barber did a great job. My boys looked fresh for the wedding they attended.
Quick, decent but $30 to just cut my sides and back high fade?
Not friendly, only accepts cash and doesn’t tell you before
Negative five stars Hands down The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced the so-called owner wouldn’t cut my nine year olds hair at 2 o’clock pm Saturday. He was closing so he could cut his own hair even though it says 4 o’clock on the door. Would not go there again if it was the last place on Earth to get a haircut.
My boyfriend came home with ALL HIS HAIR CUT OFF. He asked for long on top and short on sides. Legit like a 4 on top which is not LONG!! Dude was rude because my bf didn’t know what size clipper they use on his hair normally we are commercial fisherman not barbers..
16. KRUST pizza & pies
Address: 91865 Overseas Hwy, Tavernier, FL 33070 , Tavernier , Florida , United States
This pizza was delicious! A bit pricey, but worth every penny! We ordered the hot honey and pepperoni pizza and added onions and jalapeños…scrumptious!
Delicious. Perfectly done. I’m a bit of a pizza snob from NJ and they were very good. Small business, cute shop with a beautiful inside seating area. Further they accommodated a order right before they closed. Kudos and much love. Thanks KRUST. Can’t wait to come back!
Vegetarian options: Awesome! Good custom pizza to my liking and tasted wonderful.
Kid-friendliness: Awesome environment and service.
Overall good, but not the best we’ve had but at the top.
Great pizza – agree with all reviews praising the great food at Krust! My complaint is——very few open hours. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Okay.
Now closed Sunday, 2/19/23 ? On a holiday weekend? And when they are open – it’s from Noon to Six pm!
Open 6 hours a day – now four days a week. It’s a part time pizza shop.
Well, it’s Saturday, April 8, 2023 and it’s 4:15p – this time at least a phone message was left saying they closed at 4:00 pm – CLOSED NOW!
The best Part Time Pizza Shop and we missed again. Darn it.
Down to one star ⭐️
17. Fresh Bladez Barbershop
Address: 91200 Overseas Hwy Ste 6, Tavernier, FL 33070 , Tavernier , Florida , United States
Just went to Fresh Bladez for the first time. Leo did an excellent job! He knew exactly how I wanted my cut. I definitely will be back.
Fast and cuts are neat.
Walked in to get a haircut, very dirty— hair all over the floor with the broom and dust pan just on the ground. One guy sitting in the corner on his phone. I said hello and he responded with “what’s your name”. Not hello or welcome to my barbershop, did not even look up from his phone. No body else in the shop. Time was 1:15pm and he stated he was waiting for his 1:30 appt. NO attempt to even try to work me in just ”come back tomorrow”. Clearly he has zero training in customer service or even how to be polite. Needless to say I will not be coming back to this DIRTY—LAZY business.
I live in Tavernier and I have gone to this shop two times during business hours. Both times the lights were on, the Open sign was lit and the door was locked. I waited several minutes both times and nobody showed. I thought the first time was a one off. I was wrong. He may be the nicest guy and the greatest barber ever, but I will never know. He is very unprofessional and unreliable. I’ll continue going to Manny’s in Key Largo.
He did Not that what i want. And badly was it at my Long hair so that this barber ruined my Look for 2 or 3 month. I showed him a picture but he dont looked at it really. In Addition is he Not professionell acting with his machines and Need many time
18. Gardenias Bistro
Address: 88720 Overseas Hwy, Tavernier, FL 33070 , Tavernier , Florida , United States
This is a really great find in key largo! Great food and drinks with a lovely atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt as well. We had breakfast here and would definitely go back!
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options!
What a relaxing, friendly experience we had today! Such a comforting place to be surrounded by fresh flowers and plants (and a chicken here and there). The oatmeal with fruits, almonds and all the fixins was lovely and the cinnamon role, wow!
Delicious!!
Great atmosphere, food was overpriced for what you get. $15 for an oatmeal “bowl” and the oatmeal was 100% raw. They were out of most of the fruit and forgot the peanut butter power. I should have sent it back but it took 20 mins to get our food with no wait and didn’t want to wait for different food. Disappointing. Husbands chicken curry croissant was a very tiny sandwich with a ring but of fruit. Gave 3 stars because of atmosphere, struggled to give that high.
Relaxing atmosphere.
Excellent smoothies.
Tasty teas.
Pleasant staff.
Lovely chickens.
Ok place was small somewhat friendly dly very nice area
someone explain to me how a small smoothie and an empanada the size of my fist cost $19. and of course no prices are listed on the menu. horrible business practice.
The smoothie bowl was great, but the avacado toast was not good, $36 for 2 items and a latte was a bit much
Honestly not thrilled with the food. The garden is very nice.
19. Mangrove Marina
Address: 200 Florida Ave, Tavernier, FL 33070 , Tavernier , Florida , United States
Loved the houseboat experience. Excellent place if you have a boat or kayaks lots of beautiful water to discover nearby. Great staff.
Our 2nd stay at Mangrove Marina was just as great as the first time. The houseboats are fun, Mike is wonderful, and we always enjoy the pool as well!
They hooked me up with bottom painting on my sailboat. They were flexible and cheap and willing to help.
Nice marina with launch, dry storage, transient slips, bath house, and very accommodating staff. Hours are a little restrictive so one star off.
Okay for a few nights, the location is not the best spot in the keys. The novelty of the houseboat is nice, but doesn’t make up for the lack of amenities. Things may get better once the restaurant opens back up.
Nice place
Poor. We had reservations, showed and were told they were cancelled due to making more money for a longer stay customer. Be careful.
We went to this marina to use the boat ramp that they charged $50 to use in and out. We payed in full to use it and found a less expensive one closer to our hotel to use to come out of the water. We called mangrove marina and were told they would refund us the $50 we didn’t use to take the boat out. We’re 2 weeks later at this point and they aren’t giving us our refund bc we can’t prove we didn’t use them. They should keep a better record of who they give their boat ramp key to. Btw the ramp and dock sucked anyways. Love Karen.
Place sucks
20. Florida Keys Wedding Center
Address: 90290 Overseas Hwy ste 101, Tavernier, FL 33070 , Tavernier , Florida , United States
Our wedding at the Florida Key Wedding Center was beyond our wildest dreams. The ambiance, the organization, and the genuine care from the staff made us feel like royalty. They guided us every step of the way, ensuring a stress-free and magnificent celebration. We can’t thank you enough for making our love story shine brightly on our special day.
They responded very quickly and are also really nice!
Everything was perfect! It was so easy and stress free. We got the seashell package. The officiant and photographer met us at the beach and it all went smoothly. Mike and our photographer were amazing. I wish i Remembered our photographers name but she was amazing! She had a great personality and was so funny. She even fought off a crab for us I cant wait to get our pictures i think they will be amazing! Perfect for our small elopement. They even file the paper work for you!
Great to deal with up front and put together a really nice package. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed after having to wait nearly eight weeks for our pictures because they were “being edited” only to receive them completely unedited and of very poor quality. All we asked was to receive what we were promised. Unfortunately I would be reluctant to recommend.
We booked with Florida Keys Wedding Center for our Key West wedding in April. We booked the Flamingo package for 50 guests. I had begun by working with Jeff and found him to be very helpful and hospitable. I, then, worked with Valery who coordinated all of the details for our ceremony.
We went with the company’s photographer that is included in the flamingo package, but booked extra time for him to come to our hotel for getting ready photos and a first look. Unfortunately, this ended up being an issue as the photographer arrived to our hotel about 25 minutes late which caused for some stress. We ended up arriving to the ceremony itself a few minutes late for that reason. Overall, however, the photographer was very nice to work with and took a ton of pictures for us. We, also, got them back just a week after our wedding which was also great!
The ceremony was beautiful. Conner was our officiant and he was great! The ceremony was not too long at all and captured our guests attention from moment to end. We particularly really enjoyed the sand ceremony portion. Our guests, also, really enjoyed the service. One problem we had though was that my bouquet and the flowers on the arch were pink, when I had requested with Valery that my theme was shades of purple. The other issue was that there was some confusion on my guest count leading up to the event. As I mentioned, when working with Jeff we had over budgeted for 50 guests and that is what I ended up paying for. I am glad we overbudgeted because we ended up having a lot more guests travel down for the wedding than we originally expected. Leading up to the event I had reached out to see if we could add on 10 more chairs just to be safe. For some reason though, the company had down that I only needed 35 chairs. We were thankfully able to bump the number of chairs up to 50 (like I had thought I originally booked for), but a few guests did have to stand as there were not enough seats. Finally, I did not realize this until after the ceremony had actually happened, but apparently our ceremony was set-up next to a tree that was being occupied by a homeless man. I did not mind that he had watched the ceremony and he was a nice man, but was just kind of something weird that occurred. The man, also, did not want to move out of the way for pictures so we had to work around him and his tree.
Overall, we absolutely loved our ceremony and wedding day. With the excitement of everything going on it was hard to focus on the small issues we did run into. I would definitely recommend Florida Keys Wedding Center to other couples and we absolutely loved our day!
Their website was amazing, it has many of the questions I needed answered, however, it was difficult to get a hold of them, they did not respond to e-mails in a timely manner as most businesses would do. She left on the email if we had any questions to call, but the call was either being dropped, 90% of the time it went to VM, and when message left no returned calls. I was sent the agreement and how to pay but never got a call back at all to discuss details, after 2 emails requesting a call back. Not sure if it was because the package I chose was inexpensive and not a large wedding that would bring them revenue or they were having problems in their office.
I was part of a wedding ceremony on July 22nd. Unfortunately, three months before the ceremony they had to “change the venue”. The company no longer had a viable option. It cost an additional $1000 to the bride and groom otherwise they would have had to use a public beach. Next up the wedding day. It was an absolute nightmare. The wedding coordinator left the group chat 15 minutes before the ceremony started. The bride, myself, my children and mother of the bride were in a hot box with no air for TWO HOURS in 90 degrees and the heat index was around 100+ degrees. The flowers then fell apart as the groom tried to put them on. Plus other terrible situations took place.
But the worst of all… they sent an email to the bride and groom on their WEDDING NIGHT complaining. I’ve been a bride. I’ve been in 6 different weddings. I’ve never seen anything like this. The whole ordeal was completely unprofessional. Do not book with this company. Hire someone else.
P.S. the chairs were not padded.
Contacted several times. Never even heard back from them.
Unfortunately we didn’t have a “wow” experience. We planned ahead for several months with the mangrove package. The day of though, the individual responsible for the flowers and the setup was not present and said to be running a couple of hours behind. We could have worked with this if we had known ahead of time … but once you arrive, ready, at the beach in hot weather it isn’t ideal to stand around waiting for hours. We opted to go ahead without set and flowers; which was ok. The officiant was fantastic. The photographer was very nice, and professional – but the photos in the end were jpeg, making it a bit limited to work with them thereafter…I don’t blame her for that part though. So overall a good and special day, but not exactly what we had planned and not what we paid for. FKW did kick us back a little to help ease the blow…but you can’t “get back” great photos with beautiful flowers from your beach wedding.
