Great setup on my Telecaster, plays perfectly. Thanks Andrew!
Great music studio!! My son has really improved in his drumming and looks forward to every lesson.
Idk its neat and my teacher is cool
The staff was easily the best feature of the store. They were very friendly and supportive in helping me understand their products and services. Not only do they sell instruments but they offer lessons and practice rooms too. The selection of used electric pianos was limited and the prices of new instruments was higher than what I could pay shopping online, but with services like rent-to-own (great rates) and such knowledgeable staff I will be a return client.
Great shall music shop with a helpful staff. Looks like a great place for learning young musicians.
I wouldn’t shop there for anything except for guitar picks or something maybe not even that.
I came for the guitar lessons. The staff was very polite. For a long time, they asked a teacher whom I even very briefly met. We agreed on the price, schedule and I left my phone number on which the teacher should contact me. No one contacted me. What is most surprising is that the manager sees that something is wrong, the student did not come to the planned very first lesson and does nothing. This place is probably so overloaded with work that they can choose individuals to be their students… Unfortunately, I can not recommend this place.
If there is an negative star I will definitely rate this shop. We rent two cellos for our kids for 9 months with their rent-to-own program, we had been told that we can use the rental equity purchase ANY music instruments. However, when we returned them the staff told us our equity should be used on those rental/used musical instrument, if we want to use them on something different, they will take 25% from our equity and they also sell us those musical instruments $100 more. I went to the store three times and every time I got different explanation on their policy. Can you imagine they sell an $500 used Yamaha student flute which costs only $200 on amazon? And an ukulele for $145? Come on! We paid about $900 rental just thought we can get something interesting for our kids when we return but it ends up we just got 2 cheap Yamaha junior guitars which Allegro charged $250 each (only costs $135 on amazon). Highly recommend those who plan to rent musical instruments from them to get an used one from Craigslist or Facebook marketplace.
Update 6/24/19
You are very welcome to post the policy I signed here, if there is any. If you told customer the equity can be used for “rent to own”, I don’t understand what is the issue when we really want to buy some instruments. The problem is you guys keep changing the words you say to your customer. You literally want to throw an used Yamaha 220 student flute to us for about $500, which the a brand new newer model costs only $480 on amazon, that’s a rip-off! And come on, we both know what quality your cello are, those just basic student cello which you can find the new one in amazon $250 each.
To those who want to rend musical instruments from Allegro, I suggest you do some research first on Facebook marketplace or Amazon, unless you do not care how much you paid. Their “rent-to-own” program will sell over-priced instruments to customers when they want to use the equity.
3. HyperThreat Rehearsal and Recording Studio
Address: 20850 Park Hollow Dr, Parker, CO 80138 , The Pinery , Colorado , United States
The Litter spent about a year at Hyperthreat Studios recording and mixing the album, Future of the Past. Anne Freeman’s studio is extremely comfortable and she has state of the art, top of the line equipment. Matt Legge’s engineering is extraordinary, and he possesses a super star pedigree. He understood the sound and feel we wanted, and it came through perfectly in the final mixes. We’re very pleased with the professionalism we were shown and enjoyed the experience tremendously. Highly recommend Hyperthreat Studios.
Such a cool space. Felt totally at ease working on my project in the small studio.
Good atmosphere, all of the high quality gear you’ll ever need, and comfortable recording space. Fantastic studio
Terrible business. The owner is pretty disrespectful. She will have a battle on text like a child would. Enginner didn’t know what he was doing, couldn’t get sound for an hr. Doesn’t know how to record hip hop vocals or use auto tune correctly. Volume was super low on the song. It took 3hr’s to do a song that takes an hour anywhere else. Good rates, good equipment, terrible business owner.
Confusing experience trying to line up booking. I thought I could rehearse for an hour but it was my bad. I wasn’t clear if I had to pay invoice only and not just zelle at the place. Despite my idiocracy I’d appreciate someone running a business to be somewhat polite and not a jerk about it. Lost a potential client :/ and it’s not like that website was too helpful or should be expected to dig through when you could just have decent customer service.
Great customer service & great prices. Everytime I need something done to my guitar Stan (shop owner) always goes above and beyond to get my needs met.
PMA has been amazing! Stephan and the staff are excellent communicators. They are so willing to accommodate multi-instrument lessons, encourage a sense of community and always put the students’ learning first. Highly recommend!
They just opened this Parker location and they have been nothing short of wonderful since they opened. Meghan has been a great instructor, is patient, and really connects well with our daughter.
Bill has helped our daughter become an award winning singer and come out of her shy shell.
Great place kids
7. Castle Rock Music
Address: 429 Wilcox St, Castle Rock, CO 80104 , The Pinery , Colorado , United States
The first and the last requirement of a man can be fulfilled overwhelmingly in a place called Castle Rock near CO-Springs; U.S.A.
Great staff. All very nice and welcoming. I have bought a few guitars off them and they were all high quality and good prices. Great teachers also.
Best little NON big box Music Store
Has knowledgeable staff, not like grocery stocker at those big box places…they know who they are…
It says castle rock band store but it’s more of a Guitar store there’s no other instruments.
Singing lessons for our daughter is wonderful. The process is good, prices are acceptable, and the venue is nice.
The shop itself is cute and quaint, but the selection is only very low end. Nothing of value at all. Not even cheap name brand equipment, but just low end non-name brand stuff. No biggie I guess, and I’m sure their selection is ideal for what they’re going for, but you would think at least one Fender or Les Paul would be in there. Haha! Nope. I’m speaking about guitar/bass/amp selection.
Overall, a good place and great for kids or first time people.
I don’t see why many people are giving this place bad reviews, as I have good experience with it. I take guitar lessons here and the mentors are nice. I do feel a tinge of hostility towards me from the front desk workers, but they do seem approachable. I’ve never gone through a repair before with them, but that’s because I’ve never broken a guitar. If it weren’t from the tiny bit of hostility from the workers I would’ve given this place a five, in my experience and work with them.
Took my mandolin in for a relatively simple repair several months ago. Picking it up today because they are too incompetent to fix it… or call us and provide us with that information.
Went to pick up my boyfriend’s mandaline just now. I don’t appreciate being interrogated through petty attempts of guilt.
“I’m so surprised your nice in person, you left such a scathing review.”
I don’t like you guys. It took 6 months and 3 calls from me before I got any update on this instrument. “We tried to call” … ‘In the last month.’ was conveniently what you left off, and I’m annoyed at the audacity that you couldn’t take a review I didn’t even write and decided to confront me about it like I’m the misinformed idiot.
I wasn’t going to say anything, but maybe next time you’ll learn to shut your mouth and keep some business.
UPDATE: The cost of the repair was $10 and they gave the mandolin back to me in about a week and he did it for free because of my interaction at Castle Rock Music. Every expert I talked to had a suggestion. 3D print the piece for a temporary fix, find a junk mandoline and scavenge, or just give it to someone who knows what they’re doing, etc… Not a single person said the fix was too expensive or hard. And I didn’t get an awkward talking to when I went to pick it up. Amazing.
Rude staff who act as though you should know everything they know. Sad they have no competition in Castle Rock. TOTALLY lacks customer empathy!
Cymber has a gift for both the harp and for storytelling. She played for our group and intertwined her engaging stories while she played her beautiful music. I would hire her for a wedding or a party, she’s really talented!
9. Best Buy
Address: 11267 S Pikes Peak Dr, Parker, CO 80138 , The Pinery , Colorado , United States
Very helpful staff. Great selection and low prices!
Not a bad place. Usually an eager and helpful staff. Depends on when you go in I suppose. Looking pretty empty lately
I really like shopping here and they are always friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint is the way they only support apple products like nobody uses Samsung or Android. I prefer Samsung and they barely have a little section for Samsung phone products while apple has an entire isle as well as several end caps and various other random locations as well. Way to alienate customers that don’t care for apple products.
This is one of the Best Buy stores I have been to and has better selection then even some of the bigger stores! Only problem is finding someone when you need them. Are only there when you don’t!
I have been a Best Buy patron since the 90’s. I have never been more disappointed and angry by a store experience. I purchased a 70” tv during Black Friday sales and scheduled delivery for the day after our closing date just before Christmas. I later called and scheduled installation for the tv. When installation day came, geek squad arrived and informed me that it had been scheduled for an uninstall which would not be enough time to do the installation. They called back later that night to schedule the install the next day. The next day another GS crew arrived and when they unwrapped the tv they discovered it was cracked. The rep told me he’d call the Park Meadows and Parker store to let them know and I could choose a new tv. The one I bought was no longer available and they would take care of me. Even though this had been a bit of a pain I had no complaints yet. I went into the Parker store and after explaining the situation to two employees and the store manager, I was led to believe that i was splitting the cost difference of a 70” Vizio with the store. I agreed this was acceptable. When the store associate ran the transaction, I asked him twice to make sure the difference in cost was being split. He assured me both times and I left the store pleased with what they did to make a tough situation right. When I got home I decided to check the TV online to find that they did not split the difference with me and if I had walked into the store as any customer I would have paid the price that I paid. It has taken everything in me not to go back into that store and cause a confrontation. I called corporate to file a formal complaint and have received no response even though the rep agreed that it was unacceptable to have this happen. This is the reason for this long review.
As someone who has purchased quite a few things from Best Buy I always figured they were a good company. I purchased a laptop there and have been taking it back since I purchased it for it making noise. The geek people have been blowing out the fan and telling me that all the HP computers have noisy fans. Well… bullshit. So now the fan is screaming and MicroCenter says it is bad. I took it back to BEST BUY and they can’t help me other than”I can try the HP warranty”. The store manager Scott says that because I didn’t buy the extended warranty and it has now been 10 months they can’t help. WHAT – I had brought it in while under the store warranty. I told him how I just purchased a microwave over the weekend and he looks as says that he was going to help me but since I didn’t buy the warranty on it either that he was going to help me today but now he isn’t. WTF Apparently, I needed to be taught a lesson by BEST BUY (Worst customer service buy) manager Scott at the parker store to buy extended warranties. Here is the lesson I learned… shop somewhere besides Best buy. Not that cooperate BB reads these or cares but if your Parker store isn’t doing well my guess is it is because of how they treat your customers.
Didn’t have what a needed. Told me to go to Walmart. The salesperson had hygiene issues.
10. Flipside Music
Address: 2231 S Platte River Dr, Denver, CO 80223 , The Pinery , Colorado , United States
These guys were amazing, we had a small issue with my sons guitar (which was purchased somewhere else) and they fixed it on the spot without any issue. Great service, and we’ll be back to purchase our next without hesitation!
Cool store and super cool guys. I’d recommend and visit again
I can’t say enough about my experience at this shop! I knew I wanted a Squier Classic Vibe, they had just received one but it wasn’t setup yet ( I think still in the box) but I told them over the phone I’d come by to take a look at it later that day. When I arrived Dylan I think his name was gave the guitar a once over and damn it felt great! He even polished the frets a bit. The whole staff was awesome it made the purchase feel even better. I even traded in my lower end Affinity Strat and they gave me a reasonable trade in on it. The environment is fantastic and all the staff. I brought my guitar back in today to have their guitar wizard Sam give it a complete setup just to see how awesome this guitar can be. That guy knows his stuff and he was just cool to chat with about music in general. My inexpensive Squier plays like a true fender Strat *to me* and I’ll be back when I finally get myself that true Fender Strat and new Amp… one day.
Best neighborhood music store. Can you tell I enjoyed my visit?
First Visit. Nice small shop, great pedal selection and some nice guitar brands (Reverend, G&L among others). Really friendly folks.
Great place
Very knowledgeable staff and unique instruments
Overly expensive and also lots of homeless people hanging outside on the street near by. It’s a dump.
