Everyone is really friendly and helpful, and the lessons so far are very nicely organized.
Small store I don’t think I’ve ever been in before. Has a local small store feel despite being part of a chain, which I didn’t know was a chain until the store employee filled me in on the history of not only the company, but that particular location. Ultimately they didn’t have what I was looking for but offered to order it for me. I knew it was available at the larger chain nearby. Staff was very friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you’re looking for a standard instrument to see what they have to offer
Went in with some questions about lessons and rentals. Ended up leaving Having rented a clarinet. The staff was very helpful, and answered every question. My son starts his lessons there next week!
Thank you so much for all your help.
This store is a good place to get music books for several instruments especially classical instruments that you can’t find many stores for. I have a violin and go here occasionally to buy books for cool songs. 🙂
They don’t seem to have the music inventory that they once had but the guy who helped me was super affable and helpful.
Small space but with limited music supply stores in the area it’s good to see places like this still up
The in-store representatives are great and nice. But I am very much disappointed with the customer service representative and the supervisors. All of them showed rude behavior. I signed up for 10 months contract and during Covid situation there was delay in returning the instrument to the store at the end of contract period. But Music and Arts still charged me for 2 months on higher cost. Way above my 10 months contract. When I called the customer service, they were very rude and not showing any flexibility and care for customers. I wanted to do business with them for the next school year. But with these behaviors I will NEVER do business with them. I could not find anything lower than 1 star rating…
All they need is customers’ money… No care for customers… even in this COVID situations…
3. Tolland Cordial Shoppe
Address: 71 Hartford Turnpike, Tolland, CT 06084 , Tolland , Connecticut , United States
Great place for getting chainsaw chains made and sharpened.
Great had the part and helped me understand how to install it.
Just purchased a Ferris is600z! Pat was very knowledgeable and the transaction was a breeze!
Professional.
Very polite
People are very knowledgeable, friendly.
These guys have poor service and work. Avoid them at all cost.
Super rude and unwelcoming guy not wearing a mask, three words total. Luckily I was just getting my chain sharpened. I’ll risk COVID someplace else from now on. So much for shopping local
I try to be nice and honest in my reviews but when I leave a review on Facebook and it gets slandered by the owner all bets are off the table!!! This guy is very unprofessional and has a horrible attitude!! When we brought our newly purchased chainsaw and blower from him in to have diagnosed he had told us that there was straight gas in it, come to find out that one of our children had put the wrong fuel in. No biggie, we did not argue or challenge his very quick diagnosis. He immediately said that both engines were scorned and that there was nothing he could do. I’m a local first responder in the area and I became busy with Covid19. 3 months went by after we had attempted to go to his shop twice only to find it closed both times. Finally after letting the owner Mr. Patrick Newton know that we were going to take the machines back and get a second opinion. Mr. Newton became very defensive and without any form of permission or consent proceeded to totally disassemble the blower, for diagnosis as he claimed and gave it back to us in a box and charged us over $100.00 for his unnecessary work. Even the Resident State Trooper couldn’t believe he had the nerve to charge us for the unnecessary work and gave us great information on how to go about getting our money back for the work that was not Authorized for Mr. Newton to do!!! Upon inspecting the parts we noticed that the blower throttle was missing and that there was a broken one that was from a different and much older model and it was cracked just below the handle. We returned back the next day to find that Mr. Newton had stripped our blower apart and intended to sell it for parts. He had taken our throttle and sold it to another customer without our knowledge. The chainsaw engine was NOT SCORNED and was up and running within 15 minutes of us getting it back from Mr. Newton. The blower is also up and running without any repair after a month of getting on Mr. Newton’s back about replacing the part, and even then he tried to give me a new part without the dial or trigger saying that we already had those in our box not realizing we had pictures of all the parts we had and the lack of! I would STRONGLY ADVISE EVERYONE TO AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY, HE WILL LIE TO YOU AND TRY AND RIP YOU OFF ANY WAY HE CAN!!!! Then on top of that, he will rudely and very unprofessionally comment on your review instead of apologizing for his unprofessional behavior and try to rectify the problem to a unhappy customer, he will then delete your review.
5. 2 Mics, 1 Sound
Address: 60 Mt Vernon Dr Apt. B, Vernon, CT 06066 , Tolland , Connecticut , United States
Atmosphere, selection, and prices all 10/10. Both the owners are super nice! This store is such a good addition to Main Street and I can’t wait to come back
Amazing record store. Owner is super awesome. Vibe and store is great! Lots of good $1 bin finds and a lot of great new records. The owner is really good at giving recommendations too if you mention something you like. Also has good selection of cds cassettes and new presses. They have a discogs as well. Definitely worth checking out
We hired Timmy to be our DJ at our family reunion and we we so happy we did! He put together an awesome playlist and that, combined with his charismatic personality, really set the tone for a fun-filled, welcoming get-together. He took requests and seamlessly integrated them into his set and our family was amazed by his live music, too! His price was more than fair and we definitely will be hiring him in the future when the occasion arises.
I met Tim at church, and went to see him play at Beni’s Restaurant. He was amazing, and had the restaurant patrons, and us, singing along. I hired him to play at my aunt’s 60th birthday party. Y’all. Y’ALL. Not kidding. Tim and his music and his humor MADE this party! He had everyone engaged and singing and having a blast. He’s playing at Beni’s again soon (yay, vaccine!) and I can’t wait to go! But even better, he’ll be the DJ at my niece’s wedding in May. I am so excited for THAT party! I want to have a party just so I can hire him again. Keep it up, Tim, you’re FANTASTIC!

Great company. 100 percent legit. One of the best out there. Buy with confidence.
Love this company! I’ve done business with them on several occasions. The owner (literally) wrote the book on autograph collecting. Will continue to work with them in the future.
Done a few deals with Autograph Pros and saying they are the best in the business is an understatement!!! Truly professional and top of the line products where you never have to question the authenticity and the quality of products!!! Thanks Autograph Pros for making every experience a great and memorable one!

Great purchase, great information, I left fully satisfied and completely knowledgeable how to operate my new equipment!
Great family owned place. Took the time to walk through the equipment and test it out, even though it was brand new. They were very knowledgeable about the products they sell.
Hands down best around
Pretty good place but bought my tractor at Preuss Power Equipment Bolton Connecticut
Good customer service
Great people they have the answers
Great for sale and price of equipment have purchased 3 mowers back pack blower generator. .But trying to get them service what they sold is impossible .Have tried to set up service where I can drop it off and get in and back in a timely manner. they lack the ability to schedule service.. I under repairs take time and parts delays but drop it and get back 4 -5 week s or drop have sit out side in the weather for a month or more is not acceptable.. would you drop your car at a dealer for a 6 5 week to get it serviced .
11. Records – The Good Kind
Address: 435 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon, CT 06066 , Tolland , Connecticut , United States
Awesome spot, great selection with a rapidly changing inventory.
Awesome place great records cheap ones and fairly priced rare grooves and some foreign stuff and library records too and everything is in good condition also really cool owners
Wonderful little store with a great selection!
Hole in the wall record store in a strip mall. Friendly staff and lots of records. Mostly classic rock, 80s pop, blues and jazz.
Very average place. I’m guessing it’s run by one guy, which is understandable and the main reason im not giving lower stars. Place was very messy and smelled very heavily of cigars (there’s a cigar shop next door but if it was my business I would do something to try and cover that smell). Sold and bought records here. I got very much lowballed on the records I sold and was only offered store credit, but considering I just wanted to get rid of some records taking up space, I don’t care too much. Just know that this is more so a quick flip for records and not a good way to actually sell them. Anything you want a good price for, sell on discogs. Now the buying experience was alot more important to me since I could’ve gotten a penny for each record and not really cared. I bought about 8 records and the prices were slightly above market, which is again understandable considering its a small business. The real issue I have is that nothing is play tested or cleaned. They have a test player set up but I was in a bit of a rush and even with 8 records, it’s alot of time to playtest when you are looking to buy them and go. It looks like they are not testing or cleaning, yet are pricing at slightly above market for VG+. Most reputable places only sell VG or above unless it specifically says on the record. I would say half of the ones I got were VG and the other half were poor. Most of the records were bargin bin, but I paid $25 for one in particular that I’ve been looking for, and was very disappointed that it plays so poorly. I could’ve gotten that one for $20 online in VG+, but I would’ve gladly paid $30 for a VG just to support a local store. My big recommendation would be to put untested/uncleaned stuff in the bargain bins (I understand one guy can’t test and clean everything that comes in) and the high priced stuff ($20+) should all be ultra sonic cleaned and tested or automatically price it at the market price for G instead of VG+. Also please fix that smell. It was pretty overbearing. I would not shop here again in the near future, but will probably check in a year or so to see if they have improved at all.
Small selection but good prices
This store does have a decent selection. However, their pricing is too high. You can do much better elsewhere with equal quality.
You may like the selection. I certainly did. The owner was very pleasant to me until one of his employees was not. Should you opt to bring your own record tote, do NOT use it to carry what you are going to purchase around inside the store. I cannot emphasize enough how important this is.
12. Upbeat Music Lessons
Address: 26 Brent Dr, Vernon, CT 06066 , Tolland , Connecticut , United States
Learning with Numan has been an ease of experience especially being a beginner myself. He takes the effort to understand the challenges as a beginner and I am glad to have the opportunity to learn with him.
So after owning a guitar for decades I decided to actually learn how to play the thing. A friend of mine recommended Numan at Upbeat Music. Because I’m cheap I priced around and found he was extremely reasonable. As far as his teaching skills he’s off the chart. One of the most patient and motivating teachers I’ve ever had at anything. I do my part and he does his, my playing has improved leaps and bounds, my wife and kids won’t stop complimenting me on my playing. I feel like I’m a real guitar player, and after just a very short time. If you’re thinking about taking lessons I can’t recommend Numan enough. He’s the nicest guy, he even takes me to guitar stores and gives me recommendations for equipment. Trust me, he’s your guy.
I’ve never been more comfortable trying out guitars in a shop. I drove over an hour to get here and the customer service made it completely worth it. They have an incredible selection of great sounding instruments and went out of their way to make sure I found the guitar I wanted. Highly recommend this place.
Phenomenal shop that really personifies customer service! Pete is a great guy to deal and talk shop with. My guitar arrived safe, secure AND quickly. I can’t recommend DuBaldo enough, just give them a call or stop by already!
That was likely the most pleasant guitar buying experience I have ever had. I could not recommend patronizing this amazing store more. Thank you so much!!
Great service
15. Jazzmen Music And Gallery
Address: 450 Enfield St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Tolland , Connecticut , United States
Ryan is an amazing asset to West Hartford community. Its always a pleasure doing business with him.
Ryan was very friendly and an expert in helping us pick out a piano. He was able to restore, service, and deliver our piano for an incredibly affordable price. I would recommend him to anyone. Honest and great guy to work with.
I bought my baby grand from Jazzmen and the service was far beyond excellent!! The owner was low on stock when I contacted him over the phone, and he told me to come in with a deposit so he could find one in my price range. Then he went out and found the perfect high end piano for me, tuned it, made the finish look brand new, and even delivered it for only $400 after my initial deposit which he spent on the instrument. I ended up with a piano worth over ten grand that amazed my wife (which is a priority in my household.) and I’m glad I went to a professional to purchase something I know very little about, I also learned allot about buying pianos from all the photos and bios of pianos he sent me which got me hyped for getting one in my living room!!
If you want a honest person treating you like your their best friend, go to this place!

Rich has great knowledge about pianos and that makes him special when it comes to moving pianos!
They did a great job easily moving my grandfather’s upright piano. It was drizzling outside and not a single drop of water ended up on my piano. Friendly and professional, I highly recommend them.
Rich is the best. I’ve used NUMEROUS piano movers in the past, work as a full-time professional piano tuner/technician, and can honestly say there is no one I trust MORE to move my or my customers’ pianos.
He is meticulous in moving because he understands and has worked with pianos for years. His knowledge in pianocraft extends far beyond moving.
Highly recommended as my #1 go-to piano mover.
17. Paul’s Boutique Records
Address: 630 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066 , Tolland , Connecticut , United States
Great record store and the owner is really awesome!
What a nice and knowledgeable person Paul is. He purchased my vinyl LPs and 45s plus two turntables for a fair price. Very satisfied with the entire process. Additionally, he has such a large selection to choose from. It was like walking back in time and enjoying the sounds of my youth as I searched through the collection of recordings.
This place is amazing!! I’ve never seen so many records in one place! Owners extremely nice and helpful to any questions I had. Really cool place!
Didnt get exactly the price i wanted for my records. I know their worth. But i just wanted gone. Paul is very nice though and honest
Friendly Service
Great potential. I think I met Paul (a really friendly and knowledgeable guy). But I found the grading on the used records that I purchased to be a bit misleading. Also, the staff I’ve encountered on subsequent visits have been less than helpful/friendly. Wishing the best for this place.
