Nice place with very high end gear. I was interested in compressor pedals and Olay set me up with 3 to try out. I will definitely be back!
Great shop, beautiful guitars, friendly crowd. Definitely coming back.
This is a great little shop with professional quality gear. The owner is a very nice guy who is also a professional musician. I was able to find exactly what I needed, plus I got to look at some other cool stuff and have a good conversation. I’m so glad there a local shop that opened in the Valley, as an alternative to GC or Samash, and that they carry a lot of the gear that those places do not have.
best quality!
I emailed Angel city guitars for an inquiry about trading in a guitar for another one as I am aware this shop has these services. He responded once asking for which guitar I was interested in, I gave him the guitars I would be interested in and he just ghosted me. I tried following up a couple days later giving him the benefit of the doubt and still did not respond. Stay away from this place.
Nobody is here. Store is dark. Waste of time. Guy showed up
Back in October of 2021, I reached out to Angel City Guitars to have this guitar built for my 30th birthday (in May of 2022). They said it was a 3-4 month wait so I paid in full upfront and went on my merry way. 3 months go by and I reach out to ACG and ask for an ETA and they say, “Well actually it is going to be closer to 6-8 months but you are lucky because other brands have over a year wait”. And every time I would ask him a question, he would keep saying that I was “lucky to have a shorter wait than other brands”. I wasn’t super pleased with this so I asked about the cancellation policy since blue JM63s come up fairly regularly on Reverb for less than the custom that I ordered and he kept side stepping answering my question. Long story short, I decided to keep waiting for the matching headstock. Then I did not hear from him for 4 months, no updates, no check-ins, nothing. So I reach out at 7 months and ask about an ETA and he says, “It should get here sometime in June”. So we plow through June and I ask for updates because I am traveling and have studio dates set and he ignores my emails. Then 3 days shy of 8 full months and weeks of being ignored, he messages me that the guitar has arrived.
So I go and pick up my guitar and I am excited to see and play it in the shop and I take it home. I have it sitting out next to my other guitars and the fretboard looks orange-ish grey almost like they spilled bleach on part of the fretboard. I sat with it a bit longer but I grew to not be happy with it so I reached out asking how we can go about getting a replacement neck since it looked so bad and he never responded to me.
I had to email Nash directly and we worked out getting a replacement neck. I tried to “support the little guy” by going to this shop and it was my worst guitar buying experience of my life.

Quirky, Fun, Funky, Vintage, Unique – The store has an impressive collection of second hand clothing and unique decor. There is so much to see. My sister-in-law found a stunning sequined dress for $68. Mom found a quirky bunny bottle opener and I left with scarves galore. This place is a must see destination whether you’re looking for clothes or not. The store is a visual amusement park.
What a fantastic place this is!!! It is so so unique, the quality of the clothes is awesome, and a great selection! I love the vibe and decoration. Found a BEAUTIFUL suede cape in perfect condition for $80! Can’t wait to come back for my next hunt!!
What a fun shop! Funky Vintage clothing, hats & costumes Within interesting nooks take your time & browse around & have fun!
I love this place. Was missing all the rave clothes they usually sell!
Looking for something extra special/ vintage to wear? This is the place to go to. My friend found a tasty leather jacket for only $3 in the bin outside, a steal!
Terrible customer service. Absurd that they still demand of their patrons to west a mask considering it’s been dropped everywhere else. And the rudest way to ask to west one too.
Weird rules for paying customers
Horrible customer assistance I had to leave even before stepping in. Will not go back.
A great man… take it easy folks. Cancer sucks. Cut the guy some slack, please.
Our two little boys have been training with Terry for the past three years. She’s kind, precise, patient and really good with kids. They love her and actually look forward to their sessions.
Put your hours up before someone travels out of their way to come to your shop, calls you only to be told you don’t even run it until the weekend.
He is the best and he knows what he is doing and the price is so reasonable. I recommend him for anyone who is really serious about learning guitar.
the rudest guy I ever dealt with in my life!! Yelled and screamed at me like a nut and kept using the F word for no reason! I asked him if he would be interested in buying my 50,000 dollar guitar for 15k and he went ballistic saying its only worth 5k and to go to the store!! I was very nice to him and he is a psycho!! I said why are you yelling at me? he yelled louder and anyways I will be going in to see him. I bet he will be real nice in the future.
Gorgeous store with Fred Sole incense ! Really hard to get and they have it ! Unbelievable !
Concsiously curated selection of books!
Go just for the beautiful space!
Small gift shop with books, jewelry, incense, crystals, essential oils and a wine cellar in the back!
Fun bookstore/gift shop attached to the restaurant. Everything in here is new age with a capital N and a capital A, except for the wine cave which actually had some pretty good deals. Like, I actually saw some bottles I would buy were I inclined to do things like that. Gets crowded.

Topanga Lumber is the only lumber Co./building materials store for miles. Great.for the handyman project or the full on remodel , and the people are nice
Oustanding customer service, my son had a special request and they made it happen! What a great team – Thank You!
got a good price on lumber for our house remodel.
It has a little bit of everything, which is good because there is no other store in miles. Oh it has a working fireplace which makes the place warm during cold days.
They are open sundays til 3. Always got it when you need it.
the salesperson at the checkout, possibly the store owner, was nervous and even somewhat arrogant. perhaps because of my accent, it showed on his face. a much more pleasant impression was made by the guy who helped me load heavy things into the car. Thanks to him!
Arrogant salespeople who were fairly unhelpful. Poor selection of goods. Tried to make me pay cash, claimed point of sale was down, worked fine when I insisted….
Very convenience for workers that work around this area , but they have some employees with very bad attitude, you ask them something and they will respond with bad attitude, and they should be more customer service providers , I must said that is not everyone is unfortunate that they don’t appreciate having a job this days,

Great little low-key music store – lessons by real musicians.
Such a special place with awesome dedicated teachers! I know tons and tons of locals who go there and everyone I know loves it, including our family. So much culture, local history, and great family vibes there! We support all the teachers 100%!!! Def send your kids there and feel safe knowing they are getting the most positive encouraging education out there!
This family friendly store has served my grandchildren and friends since the 70’s. Their positive, professional vibe is hard to find these days. Thank you Hildebrand family for your music teaching gift and involvements in the community.
When my son was little I brought him here for lessons. The female piano teacher who is supposedly seasoned, is not well versed in her ability to engage with or direct your child’s interest and passion for music. In my case, she even had the nerve to negatively speak behind my back to others in the community since she was unable to get my child to perform at a particular level as opposed to taking accountability that her teaching methods were not working. I do not recommend this studio.
This studio is amazing! There are a variety of rooms with different feels. The crew is friendly & on point. I created some of my fav songs here. If you are looking for a safe spot to lock in & vibe this is your spot! 5 STARS
The vibes in the studio are amazing! They have multiple rooms different sizes and moods and all of them sound perfect! 10 out of 10!!
Been in the industry 8+ years. Highly recommend.
Our production company had a bad experience here. Our celebrity host told us she didn’t feel comfortable here – it smelled like pot – and the engineer was unprofessional and didn’t seem to know what he was doing.
Daniel and his team of talented musicians made our day perfect! He was responsive, professional and I would hire OC Strings again in the future without reservation! You should too! Thank you OC Strings for making our day glow with your music!
OC Strings played at our wedding in Laguna Beach and they were absolutely wonderful! They played my favorite song during the ceremony, “Clair de Lune” and hearing it as I was walking down put me at such ease! I definitely recommend if you are looking for a string quartet!
OMG! Daniel and his team were absolutely amazing!!!!!! They were so punctual, pleasure to work with and their repertoire….speechless! Thank you OC STRINGS!!!

A 1000 thumbs waaay-up for Mistah Norman and his entire staff. I send all my musical brethren to Normans Rare Guitars for all their fret instrument needs and get nothing but warm appreciation’s from everyone for turning them on to such a cool spot with such a wide variety of instruments to choose from and the fairest of deals on everything. Haters best take a good look at yaself. Perhaps a change of negative attitude on your own behalf is in order and could just be one reason you don’t receive decent service, as myself and all my friends have yet to encounter anything but total professional customer courtesy. I think it was th’ Mighty Bo Diddley that once said it best and so eloquent: “Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself!”
THE Best !
wow what a big selection
They’re ok. Average selection, prices deff lean to the high side. I expected a better experience given they’re online presence. Would most likely not go back
Been there three times. Not a bad experience, but the fact is they cater and prefer those with deep pockets or the “famous”….Prices average or a bit high. Staff is hit or miss- I can attest to the snobby comments I have seen, but it seems to vary by day and person. Best stuff is stashed in the back with the “kinda cool” to the vanilla stuff out front. I am not going to drag them through the mud- but they are by far not the only option in town.
In my opinion, if your price range is up to about 3k, you will probably end up with vintage junk. This place is way over-rated. They like to point out that they sell guitars to famous people but so does Guitar Center and every other music store in Los Angeles. The people that run the place are known liars according to many people I’ve talked to. I decided to go there to find out for myself and while I did not get the feeling that I was being lied to, I was talked down to. There was also a heavy pot-like smell although that could have come from a customer, who knows. They had some nice newer custom shop kind of stuff and it was priced pretty good however, I was so turned off by the people that worked there, I left without buying anything.
I get that Covid is happening, but I showed up here to browse during store hours (since I was in Cali visiting family and have wanted to see this place for years). They were closed for appointment only. So the next day I tried again and called to make a reservation, but was turned away. Seems like during Covid, they only want to let in famous people/ people who are friends of the workers here. Pretty lame.
Cool place
