My daughter needed a new a guitar and I was too sick to go into the store. My mother went in and met with Caleb. They called me on the phone and Caleb described everything. He was attentive, knowledgeable and kind. The price was the best in town and we are now Caleb customers forever. Thank you Sam Ash for a quality product and superb service.
Always extremely patient and super helpful with our changing needs!!
Sam Ash always has the gear I need and they sell it at a price I can afford. But more importantly, unlike the other big box music store in town, they still believe in customer service. And that is why they will continue to get my business.
always enjoy trading in and up with sam ash. they take trades and it usually works out well for me
I was trying out acoustic guitars looking to make a purchase when an employee came in the room and told me to stop trying out guitars as he had to sanitize them at the end of the day. The proceeded to slam the door on the way out hard enough to shake the wall and give everyone inside the room a scare.
I did end up purchasing solely because the price was too good to find anywhere else, but will not be coming back
Edit: Was called and apologized to. I can appreciate a store that is actively working to resolve problems.
I needed a pair of studio monitor stands and dropped by San Ash and quickly found a great, stylish pair for under $100. Love the store, the selections and the people.
Absolutely sickened by the slow response in getting a refund on a guitar I planned to purchase for my son. I’ve been buying equipment from this store for 15 + years and sadly will be very hesitant in making any large purchases from Sam Ash. A refund should be cheerfully returned in a timely manner.
Walked in to find a takamine pro guitar but could not try it out because a customer that had already bought a guitar prior was being catered to and had a concert going with different guitars and I could not hear myself. I guess I will go to the Guitar Center.
I keep getting calls from this place. Please stop calling me.
3. Guitar Center
Address: 12402 S Orange Blossom Trl Suite 1, Orlando, FL 32837 , Urk , Florida , United States
Great experience there today. Chris was the team member that helped me out and he genuinely cared that I got what I needed and helped me try multiple instruments and equipment.

DIOS LOS BENDIGA Guitar Center es una tienda donde USTED encuentra toda clase de instrumentos para tocar su música y los mejores precios y la atención es excelente
Mala atención,………esperando a que alguien te atiende puede ser muy largo
Great Store and variety of products
plenty of instruments and accessories , Staff is helpful . Accessories are expensive compared to online from other vendors . was quoted $50 to install a set of tuning pegs that’s sold for $23. take your instrument here for a very unique need that you do not know how to fix on your own .
Duramos rato dentro y nadies no atendió
GuitarCenter stores are just the best, aren’t they? All that stuff …
I went to the Orlando store on Orange Blossom Trail to find out about buying a bass guitar and taking lessons on, Wed 6/5. I wasn’t there more than 30 minutes … looking around by myself, no help from anyone … when the power in the area failed. The store had to be evacuated. I was able to spend some time outside with one of the employees, Tony. He was a wealth of information on bass guitars … but with no power in the store, there was no way to demo anything. I returned in the afternoon, Thu 6/6. Tony was busy in the cash register area. I went and looked at the bass guitars on display again. After 20 minutes … by myself, no help from anyone … I went to see if Tony could help, if he could answer some more questions, demo a guitar or 2. He said that we could talk between customers, he couldn’t leave the register area. I left. I don’t want to buy anything if I can’t hear it play a bit, see the positives and negatives.
I drove to the Winter Park store. They have employees there who answered questions, let me hold a couple guitars, did some playing, scheduled me for a music class. I don’t especially care for having to drive almost double the distance to buy an instrument and take music lessons … but I’d really like to learn to play a bass guitar well and learn to read music.
I ordered a used Roland mixer 11 days ago. i called 6 days ago (last Tuesday) and was told 2 different things. one manager told me the item wasn’t available, another manager assured me that it would ship in a couple days around Thursday to the Lakeland store for pickup. So i decided to call back after the weekend. this morning (Monday) i received an email saying the order has been cancelled and i may have to wait 5-7 business days to get my money back into my account. I spoke with the operations manager just now who said that the item was actually broken and should not have been sold in the first place. Why did they sell me an item that did not exist and string me along for 11 days? There was very little and conflicting communication with this whole deal and if i knew i’d experience this, i would have just bought a new one from another company, like Sweetwater.
4. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4644 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32803 , Urk , Florida , United States
Enjoyable visit. Nice interaction with salespeople.
Had the items I needed – held them until I could get there to pick them up.
I went to the SamAsh in Winter Park FL.
James in audio took the time to diagnose the problem with my receiver and speakers.
All I needed was a new cord! He even helped carry the system to and from my car!
Wow! Thank you James!
Been shopping here since it opened I think. Great service and usually a great selection of used gear. We bought a road case rack for our bass amp 2 days ago. Went to leave and showed our receipt to the little emo looking character at the door. He stamped it-looked at us-and asked to see inside the case. He knew damn well we weren’t stealing anything but wanted to be a jerk. Super rude. Like we were in there stealing cables or whatever. Pretty lame. Another frustrated musician working in a music store dissing good customers. The guy helping us in Live Sound was great though. That’s our usual experience-people here are really nice. So other than emo boy at the checkout it was all good. We’ll be back.
have everything you could need great staff
My experience is always very positive walking into Sam Ash everyone there is extremely helpful. The reason for my four stars instead of five stars is that there just wasnt enough employees working at the time I was there. Rob was exceptionally nice and helpful when I dropped off my Taylor for service. I waited about 10 minutes in front of the guitar strings and finally I was able to get some help. My complaint is not a product of customer service just a lack of people working.
Where do I start. First of all they never have inventory. They always seem to be short on everything. The staff there are some of the least helpful people there. The only two good employees are the techs. The techs at samash are the only truly helpful individuals there I have nothing bad to say about them. But all the other employees need to get fired.
Went to try new equipment but the dos not have much inventory in stores.
I visited this store on 06/08/18 at about 3:30 pm with one of my army friends, with the intention of listening to several options of monitor speakers (Yamaha, JBL or KRK), and the person who works in that area (adult almost white hair) asked me, if I needed something and I told him to hear how these speakers sound, the speakers were connected to a computer. First he told me, you will not hear the sound if you are in the IPhoto application. And once he connected the system in garage band and went back to his working station. I decided to increase the volume of the music in order to hear the sound quality (nothing extraordinary). While listening to the music for a couple of minutes, this gentleman came again and without apologize or asking permission, turned the music completely down and told me “I turned down because I can listen to the new customer”. There was a person playing loud music with two keyboards close to my location. With this bad experience with this employee, I left the store and bought the speaker from Guitar Center.
In my 61 years of age I had never seen such bad customer service and rudeness from a sales representative. I hope the Manager take notes, customer service is vital in any organization that deals with people, and employees need to treat customer with courtesy and respect.
5. CornerStone Music, LLC
Address: 798 W Montrose St, Clermont, FL 34711 , Urk , Florida , United States
Absolutely Top Notch, Called in Wanting to replacing the pick ups in my Mayone Guitar, Chris was super super helpful ordered me in some Fishman Fluences at a Great Price and installed them for me, an absolute Wizard, couldn’t be happier with them! A great store that anyone who is a serious player that lives in central Florida needs to check out! Absolutely top notch service! Will be getting all my Guitars from now on worked on here!
The best little music store in Florida!
Nice guys. Quality guitars: affordable and high end
I recently had them repair my 1972 Guild acoustic. Great work and it plays much better! Thanks for all of their work
Despite the trumpet not working out for my son… the staff was helpful, understanding, and ever so friendly! I highly recommend getting your school band rentals here!
For the several thousands of dollars my family has spent at this business, I expect Pete to be friendly/pleasant towards us(at the very least), for life, but he clearly can’t maintain that. He started acting rude towards my mom some years back, and now me. For no apparent reason. I hope that keeping that sour attitude of yours is worth losing 20+ year customers who often went out of their way to spend money at your establishment and stay local. Weird way to treat people who earned you money. Avoid. He’s one of those guys who thinks everyone is a “democrat”. Super solid reason to push customers away.
6. Leesburg Music
Address: 1607 US-441, Leesburg, FL 34748 , Urk , Florida , United States
Great place. Good selection and very helpful staff. Even if there was another shop close by I can’t see not stopping by here when I’m in the area.
Just got some new strings for my guitar and had the most pleasant experience. Everyone there was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend! Thank you so much, Leesburg music! You made this musician feel warmly welcomed. I will be back!
Amazingly fast drilling my guitar for strap…and reasonable!
Was good hadn’t been in there on 3 years come along way
Nice little music shop! Their in-store selection primarily covers the beginner-intermediate range, with many b-stock guitars at reduced prices. Good deals on amplifiers, good selection of mid range basses and guitars. Great deals on amplifiers — considered an SVT350H that they had in stock. Will definitely go back and keep checking the place out every so often!
Friendly and helpful staff
We called before making the 45 minute trip to purchase a guitar, strings and a case, only to be turned away because I brought my little service dog. It was 88 degrees so she did not have her Service Dog Vest on. I offered to go back to the car to put it in her. That wasn’t good enough. We were there less than 2 minutes. I had brought my 16 year old foreign exchange student there and he sure got a whiff of good old American culture today.
So embarrassing. Shame on them on all accounts.
Rude staff who didn’t seem to be interested in my business. I won’t be back.
Lack communication skills and people skills

Moses was great today staff was awesome I went for guitar strings and came out with a bass guitar I will return
They are so much frendly
We were out in the area killing time and had decided to got to the comic store next door. Upon arrival I remembered that I had wanted to bring my youngest here after seeing them the last time I was here and they were with me. We wandered in here first and were greeted immediately. We took our time and perused just about everything they had. One of the first things I noticed was the violins on the wall in back so I started there. They had a decent selection with good prices. Having just purchased them one for christmas I was not in the market for one but I still appreciate nice ones. I proceeded to check on my child to see what they were finding in the accessories. They picked out a new rosin and some mouthpiece cleaner for their trumpet. We went on to look at the sheet music selection. It has been a long time since I have seen sheet music in a smaller store and there was a good mix here. They picked out an Essential Elements for strings for their sibling as they are about to start learning to play the violin also. To round out our purchases I found some interesting ornaments and singled out a grand piano thinking of their piano teacher at school and they wanted it as a christmas gift for them. Before we left we stopped to check out the selection of guitars as they had quite a few that we liked. While looking I singled out a bass that I really liked and showed them as they do not have one yet. It was a preferred brand for us and the price was excellent. I was saved from making the jump (for now) as my oldest contacted me saying they were ready to be picked up. As I wanted to check out the comic store before we were on our way we settled for what we had. I expect that I may be back again before their birthday in a few months checking out the instruments again with a more serious interest in making the purchase. I spent a short time speaking to the manager while we were there and she was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The employees were wearing masks and acted very professionally while interacting with customers both in person and on the phone. If you are in the market for something musical I would recommend these stores. Pricing is good and they seem to care about what they do.
Pretty good little shop. Friendly staff. Does inhouse lessons. Mainly focused on school band instruments.
Very small selection of guitars and amps
The staff was very helpful in answering my questions even though they didn’t have a Cello my son’s size in stock it was a very informative visit
Horrible company. No customer service. They will take your money and ignore your calls
Stuck in a contract and they couldn’t find my 811 dollars worth of credit in the store please please please if you’re buying an instrument do more research if it’s strings I recommend muni strings, if it’s band I recommend music shack, if it’s anything else I recommend guitar center
Don’t buy it unless they have the instrument in the store. I bought I violin but they had to order online. When it came , the violin was not what the seller told me about. And today(10/13/15) has been over 3weeks I have been waiting for my money back and I didn’t received yet.
By the way, I never took the instrument out of the store. As soon as I looked it, I told the seller I didnt want it because the violin wasn’t the way the seller told me before…musicarts has a terrible customer service.
DONT BUY UNLESS THEY HAVE PRODUCT IN THE STORE – because if they order online, you will deal with the online service.
Go to some place else..or If you want to buy online, use amazon or Walmart or even target(they sell instruments online).

Great if you love music it’s a great place to check out it
Great store with variety of musical instruments and accessories
I love going in and looking at the acoustic guitars and testing them out however most are wherever in tune. Thankfully I know how to do that.
Great selection.
Not friendly
This was the Tampa store on Hillsborough. I called ahead to see if they had a keyboard in stock, a Yamaha p125, and Logan said yes we do. So I drove from an hour away and when I got there he said I am sorry, we are out of stock and I am not allowed to sell the floor model. I had a bad experience last week and I thought I would give them another chance.
Company policy for guest to wear face mask but don’t supply them. What a huge loss of business.

UPDATE
I had a problem with my ukulele (I’m a novice so not really a problem, just me being inexperienced), so I returned to the shop this morning and the gentleman behind the counter fixed my “problem” without making me feel like an idiot. So thank you Mr Gator Music. When it’s time for new strings, or my next ukulele, I’ll be back.
ORIGINAL POST OCTOBER 2020
I usually shop online but because of covid-19 I felt it more important to spend my money locally and help out a small business. I was greeted by a very friendly sales associate who spent all the time I needed to help me out and answer all my questions. The store is small and very nicely kept. I did indeed find what I was looking for and when it’s time for my third ukulele, I won’t hesitate to give my business to Gator Music.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great products. A+
Had a great experience, first of all they had a guitar that was extremely difficult to find that I had been looking for, made the process smooth and easy and worked well with me. Great store
The only place I buy music equipment. Great staff, great selection!
I’m on vacation here in FL and was looking for a guitar store to visit with my son, a Berklee student. I was all set to drive up from Marco Island but after reading so many negative reviews, it’s gonna be a pass for us.
Great guitar selection.
Owner is a little grumpy
But good. And knowledgeable
When I went into the store there was only 2 good guitars in there and those two guitars were a Gibson Les Paul and a Paul Reed Smith. When I went to ask him to take down the Les Paul he said” Well are you going to buy it”. I replied” I’m not sure , I haven’t even touched yet”. And then he said” I thought so” and then walked away and went back on his computer. The other time I went in I asked him if I could play on a Marshall amp. He said I couldn’t play it and went back to babysitting his kids. Never go here because he is very rude. You should just go to Guitar Center instead.
I’m a touring musician, and I looked it up on my flight to Florida. I went in for an hour; the store is great and the guy on the first day was very nice, great conversation/product knowledge, and he really sold me on a G&L that I probably wouldn’t have reached for if he didn’t mention it…I came back with my brother so we could seriously browse and get some good gear, but some other dude working there wouldn’t let me plug in. Showed us to the cheap isle, plugged my bro into a little practice amp. Wouldn’t help him get the guitars he was actually interested in. I was about to buy the bass and my bro was gonna pick up a custom blue 8 string they have, which I have never seen anywhere else! He wouldn’t let us. Then he proceeded to kick us out! Couldn’t recommend based on my experience; hope you like being seen as a joke, you’ll be right at home.
Let an employee know one of his Reverb listings was inaccurate to help him avoid the hassle of a possible return due to “not as described”. Messages back with profanity twice. Very unprofessional. His name on the account is listed as Dave Woodworth.

This is truly an awesome store. Jim and Chuck are helpful and polite and no one has a better selection of vintage guitars! Go JVM!
Thank you for your fantastic service and helping re-string my kids guitar! We will do future business with you! #shoplocal
Best vintage guitar center. Just browsing but owner is knowledgeable and super friendly.
Selection was fantastic of products.
Highly recommend.
Prices could be a little better but staff is always helpful and knowledgeable
Had what we needed.
Quaint shop. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. Easy to get to.
Called in about a violin and the guy who answered the phone gave some wrong information. He was certain he was giving me the correct information but he was wrong. Do not recommend for any questions regarding an old violin.
I have done many transactions with Jimmy’s vintage music. I recently traded him a brand new Eric Johnson Stratocaster for a 1965 Gibson es 125. The Gibson had high action and needed to have the neck reset at a cost of $400, so he said.
I took the guitar from Florida to Nashville Tennessee to a luthier who says not only is the neck joint destroyed but the neck has a crack in it from over tightening the truss rod and the guitar has been in a fire. I am out $2,000 because of this.
I will not be going back to Jimmy’s vintage music at any cost.
I’m always up front with anything and everything that I sell and I let people know what the issues are.
I feel I’ve been completely screwed over in this transaction and I am not happy. When I texted Jimmy he called me screaming obscenities as if I had done something wrong.
There are a lot of other places to buy instruments other than someone lack of integrity.
Worst service than Guitar Center
12. Marion Music
Address: 4970 Stack Blvd #B3, Melbourne, FL 32901 , Urk , Florida , United States
Went inside my first visit, customer service was good. Was thrilled at the great selection of inventory especially the quality of the acoustic pianos which they didn’t yell at me when I proceeded to try each and every piano out. Thanks guys, you made and old retired musician a happy camper that day. May God Bless You. John Gilbert
Awesome shop. My girl bought me a nice 1969 Yamama FG-230, 12-string guitar the other day. Great deal! The staff was very professional and knowledgeable, you can tell they did a great job cleaning this old relic up, it stays in tune and has an awesome neck and bridge for an old 12er. Great place for any musicians, beginner, intermediate and pro. And they have some cool electrics hanging in the back. Thanks guys.
Love this store
A neighborhood music store with some knowledgeable employees.
Great place! So helpful with kids trying music for the first time.
Well stocked music store.
This place is a rip off….cost me 60 dollars to have my 12 string worked on and when I got it home the electronics still didn’t work and when I complained about it all I got was a runaround. They wanted 150 dollars to replace the pre amp in the guitar and I told then no way. I went on ebay and bought the pre amp for $8.83 and it took me about an hour to fix it. Also the brand new strings they charged me for were all corroded. Beware of this place I will never ever do business with them again. Twice they have ripped me off.
Super nice guys but when I tried to trade my mint esp 1000 deluxe with case and a marshall amp with a footswitch for a $512 takamine acoustic guitar they also told me they wanted 400 bucks. I get they are a business but didn’t know they were trying to straight up butcher me on the trade. On the phone the dude named Mike told Bruce that my ESP is selling for 700. Kinda wrong imo. Nice people though
Went in for an acoustic replacement part and the guy gave me a part for another guitar that was close but not right. Being an instrument shop, the guy should know what works and what doesn’t…or at least what to look for, for compatibility. It’s no big deal that I wasted the time and money…it’s the lack of knowledge from their part. I’m going to measure everything myself and order online, cheaper.
Also, come on, guys, every time I’ve gone in there (over 9 years) it’s always the same…dirty and dusty with a bunch of used unorganized crap everywhere. There are always people just sitting around and talking. I’m all for a cool hang out, but how about getting up off your butts and working your store a little. You have so much room and stuff, clear it out, clean it, and put it back in a better/improved way.
Lastly, your used acoustic guitars are miserable. I understand they’re used…but your prices are high and every guitar I looked at had major issue (cracks in the sound board or missing electronics with gaping holes).
Local shops are being killed by Amazon and the online retailers…you’re not helping to motivate us local musicains to support local shops. You could be the best in Brevard…but you need to do something and better yourselves.
13. Music & Arts
Address: 1673 WP Ball Blvd, Sanford, FL 32771 , Urk , Florida , United States
I went in to the Music & Arts store in Sanford to return sax we had rented for about 2 years. The only thing we had thought we were getting for our money was a son who learned how to create music, certainly a worthwhile thing. It turns out that we were also building rental credit that Music & Arts will allow you to use (with a few restrictions) toward the purchase of an instrument from their store. I am so grateful to Mark for his time and patience in showing me how I could make my son’s impossible dream of owning his own intermediate level instrument a reality by using a combination of rental credit and in-store financing options. This way I was able to purchase the instrument for just a slightly increased monthly payment than I was paying before to rent an instrument.
Mark was friendly and engaging and I enjoyed the time I spent in the store talking with employees and other customers while my transaction was being processed. Mark went above and beyond to get me a high demand instrument in a very quick amount of time and was great at communication. The other employee there, I thought might be a manager but I can’t recall his name, was also super nice and helpful, and made sure the transaction went through without a hitch.
Music & Arts in Sanford is definitely the only store we will use for our musical instrument needs. Thank you so much for an excellent experience.
I recently decided to pick up a hobby and went to this location and met with Marc. He was extremely informative and spent a lot of time making sure I had the right equipment needed to begin practicing guitar. He was very knowledgeable and he really made me feel conformable in my buying decisions. I have since referred a few of my friends to this location because of him. I am really glad I chose this location because dealing with Marc made me wish that there were more people like him in a general buying experience.
Huge thank you to Rebecca and the team at Music and Arts Sanford. They truly care about their customers, and do great work.
They sell flutes, do flute repairs, offer flute lessons but their selection of flute music is very limited.
They would not return some unopened items we purchased while trying out an instrument. I had to return for a manager and push to get some of the items returned. All I wanted was credit toward a different instrument and even that was a challenge. Make sure you want to keep what your buying.
I’ve purchased two guitars from here so far. They don’t have a huge selection, but the prices are reasonable.
The 2nd one I got from this store was on clearance and they even knocked some off that, giving me a better deal than I could have gotten online for the same guitar,
My child and I went here first before going to another local music store on recommendation. I dont usually post bad reviews but thought i must for anyone else having their child starting band. This place will try and pressure you into trying to buy whatever it is they have to sell for the week. the employees are rude and wont give you the time of day if you are there with just questions. not to mention the arrogance felt from them. save yourselves the time and find another store.
Please rent elsewhere by all means!!! Dropped off my sons instrument At the school in March after he decided to drop band. Called the store and they told me that they would pick it up bc that is a service I pay for. Covid happened, and I didn’t notice til school started back that i was still having the payment coming out of my bank account for an instrument I had turned in months prior. Called the store and they told Me it would be picked up and the store would contact the Corp office to take care of everything. Next month goes by and still charged again. Call again and told That they would call Corp office again but then called me back and told me the that they couldn’t pick up The instrument due to covid rep being quarantined for two weeks but they would contact corporate about me still being charged and it would be picked up within the next few weeks. They explained to me that corporate could be a pain so I should call them too. By that point , it was October I believe. I asked if I should pick the instrument Up from my sons old school and bring to his new school since he started a new school this year and was told that was fine so I did so. Got it on Friday and had it at new school by Monday… the store advised me to personally reach out to cooperate as well along with them this time…so I called corp office and explained and they told me that I would have the direct withdraw stopped but that I would still be charged til the instrument was able to be picked up. Once it was picked up, I would get a credit to my account. December comes around and I get a letter that I’m in collections and my credit score may soon be dinged . I am livid. Call the store again. They remember me Bc of this whole ordeal that started back in March and the store manager himself even calls me back to tell me I would be getting a refund from March til the withdrawals stopped and they had the instrument finally! Then a week Goes by and nothing so I contact corporate again and am told that the account is zeroed but I won’t be getting the refund bc I didn’t personally contact corporate til October. I contacted the store I got the instrument from but never corporate so no refund from the charges from my back account months after I turned the instrument in!!!!! I rented from the store so I contacted the store I rented from! The manager assisted me as did employees and gave me false information telling me it would be picked up and it was taken Care of . Why Would I contact cooperate office if I didn’t know I had an issue. I contacted them when i clearly Was advised to contact them! This company and the customer service is awful! The store clerks and store managers try but clearly their hands are tied when it comes to doing HONEST business!!! Please save yourself the headache and save your wallet by taking your business elsewhere! I have requested a manager call me back so if they do the honorable thing and issue my refund then I will take this review down but if it is still up…do business at a business with better morals!!!!
Was a 5-star establishment previously. Unfortunately, with a new manager, Shane, loyal, long-time customers are no longer valued. Unfortunate.
14. Music Shack
Address: 702 S US Hwy 17 92, Longwood, FL 32750 , Urk , Florida , United States
I have been a customer from day one. Purchased sound equipment, key board, sold keyboards, purchased music and given good advice when needed.
It looks good. I only went to return an instrument.
Very helpful when my son began playing trumpet in the band at school. He needed a clean and tune as well as a few small replacement parts. They fixed it up for us and did a great job. Thanks!
Place looks a little messy but one of the sales man was very nice and helpful.
The staff were easy going and helpful .
We aren’t a musical family (we listen to it, we don’t make it.) but my 6th grader decided to try band. Knowing nothing we went to the Music Shack as it was on the recommend list from my daughters middle school. The woman who helped us was very nice and didn’t try to sell us the most expensive mouth piece for a tuba, knowing our daughter might not stick with it.
The other places I called about getting the items we needed charged 3 times the price. I realize that there is different qualities for the Bach 18, but the woman who helped us understood that $140 is a lot for something my daughter most likely won’t stick with. She also had everything else we needed and it was very quick and simple.
The only thing I could say that was slightly negative was a lot of clutter in the store. But that is more about personal preference than quality.
Awful customer service. Sons middle school tried to push this business for band rentals. I called early on a business morning and Received their voicemail. I left a message and it’s been days where no one could handle to spend a few minutes to contact me back. I rather bring my money elsewhere.
Edited to respond to owner. Yes I’m aware everywhere is short staffed due to Covid. That’s why I was ok with waiting DAYS for a response but never got one. You did not hear my voicemail yesterday because like I said , I left it last week and have gone DAYS without the business following up. I was patient and understood that due to Covid I might not get anyone to answer their business phone immediately. I waited DAYS for the business to be able to catch up and respond to me but was left in the dark. If I can’t get a question answered before handing over my money, why would I trust that once you have my business I could get through to you for any rental issues in the future. Like I said I will seek other places.
Went for sax repair. Took about 20 minutes just to drop off sax and purchase one item. Sax repair was overpriced and only partially complete. Was partially ready two days after promised. Phil, who does the repair kindly explained to me that it was my fault the repair was not complete and that for an additional fee he would complete the repair. Worst customer experience I’ve had in a very long time. Will not be back.
Very disorganized, have you running all over the place to just get one simple equipment.

Lax staff, great selection of gear and nice sized building too. Tons of cool stuff to look at, and some nice people to give you a hand when you need it
Came in to get some support for a live event I’m doing and Jesse was a freaking rock star. He took the time to answer each and every last one of my questions. Even helped me draw a diagram for the equipment layout and just was a total dream in helping me build out a perfect set up. I could not be more thankful for him and I highly recommend you come and check them out as they had great equipment and like I said Jesse and the crew were very helpful.
A very organized music store! Pretty drum sets as well.
Very expensive had a lot of nice things but I couldn’t afford them
I like to see the room with the expensive guitars
I got great service from “Priest.” Tell him I said hi and thanks.
Great inventory but really poor customer service.
Have you ever gotten a toy on Christmas that said “Batteries not included” ? Guitar Center will sell you that toy and tell you the Batteries are in the box speaking from a Deejay / Turntablist’s perspective. The deejay section is a mess; all the demo equipment is missing pieces and not working properly nor does any of the staff have any knowledge of the subject. GARBAGE! HOT GARBAGE!
Dean did a great job. Unfortunately Dean is not there anymore and my restring was pushed back past the promised date and never completed. Took the guitars elsewhere.
16. George’s Music
Address: 6817 Visitors Cir, Orlando, FL 32819 , Urk , Florida , United States
I called ahead to find a travel case for my full size 88 key keyboard. Mitch was amazing! He helped me find the right dimensions and the right protection level for my instrument. He explained the policies and explained the benefits of buying a Gator case. He made it an easy experience and made me feel welcome and comfortable when I went to the store to make my purchase. Excellent experience!
Update: my instruments and I all made it safely to our new home and I received a follow up call from Mitch asking how everything went and making sure the case I bought did it’s job. I returned the call and spoke with Sam, who was just as friendly and wonderful as Mitch. Excellent customer service at this store. Plus Sam gave some tips for buying online since there is no George’s music in my new state. All around a fantastic purchasing experience and when spending money on musical instruments it’s great to feel like your money went to a good company!
The store features a wide variety of products and service very well too! …. If you are Brazilian, look Alex Marques, very attentive seller!
Mitch was my son’s guardian angel. We went into the store not knowing much but left elated with information, kindness, great dj equipment with the bells and whistles suited for our budget, expert advice and so much more. The same way we were met/greeted is the way we left but with overwhelming satisfaction. If you are looking for a place to feel comfortable while you shop around and staff that has integrity, George’s music in Orlando is your one stop shopping for anything music. Thank you to all the staff and management!
Seems like a decent store. I stopped by to check it out, hoping to see some interesting guitar and amplifier inventory, and was a little underwhelmed. They have a decent stock of new guitars from the major manufacturers, but I didn’t see anything I couldn’t find at one of the big box stores. Amp inventory was disappointing – a lot of entry level stuff. Staff was friendly, but in terms of gear it was actually LESS interesting than a standard Guitar Center.
Small but a good amount of product. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Is a good music store it’s a little out-of-the-way for me but it has a good selection pretty good prices the customer service is really good you can tell they’re trying really hard to create a customer-friendly experience and I think they achieve that. Some customers just like to be left alone and shop and the staff is not pushy they just create a warm welcome environment. Never had a bad experience there and they do have a lot of good guitars.
I believe the best thing about this place is an employee name Sam in Orlando. He was very helpful. Also Steve Bolando from customer service was very helpful. My issue is their guitars, a lot of them have fret issues, bridge issues, nut issues etc, etc. I exchanged 3 guitars in one month. I drove about an hour and 45 mins just to exchange them. The guitar I have now, the neck is cracking around the fret áreas because it was never oiled. The nut was off and the bridge as well. I payed $349.00 for a Yamaha made in China. Most of their guitars are from China. At one point I called to are If they do repairs, one replied Yes! and the other No!! Plus I was still with in my 30 days to return it. Since I like the guitar so much I’m having all the work done on it. The price now is 125.00 for all the work. Inclosing I checked all the bases in this guitar. I would never bye their again!!!!! Fooled me once but never again…
Was very disappointed to hear they would not sell me brand new items, i went over with a plan to buy 1700 dollars worth of gear and the guy who helped me told me that thr guitar and amp will be the display one .. that it was better because i could get a feel of the guitar and that the amp would be ok and if not they could later give me a discount.. lol.. if i’m paying i want new items, it was redicilous to hear him say those where my only options
The people there are a little awkward and most of the things i was looking for on their website that said was in stock wasn’t. Overall deeply dissapointed and ended up getting what I needed online on Amazon.
