I love this place. My guitar teacher is awesome and the whole place is like a family. Great teachers and a great atmosphere.
I wish I could give this business more stars! Absolutely Incredible! The owner and staff make you and your children feel comfortable and welcome!
It feels feel like family! Highly recommend!!!!!
I’m an experienced bass player who wanted to learn to sing well. I signed up for classes about 6 months ago. I’m still not Michael Buble but I can hold a tune way better than I could when I started here and I’m still making regular incremental improvements. The management and staff are all really nice and really supportive of all the students’ journeys. It’s a great place to learn how to make music.

Ute fixed my grandfather’s violin and restrung the bow. She was done in no time and was very sympathetic that I needed it back quickly for practice. She did excellent quality work.
Yes, the last time I came in was in 2011 but I sent at least three emails to her asking for information on my grandmothers violin. I would gladly remove this review if I had information on the whereabouts of my grandmothers violin but Ute still hasn’t responded to any on my emails. She can’t even email back to say she has no information. And the John Juzek violin you sold me had a huge crack running along the sound post besides the other cracks along the body of the violin. So no I never received a healthy instrument. I just want information on the whereabouts of my grandmothers violin. I’ll even buy it back from you if you have it. You have my contact information Ute 🙂
I bought a basic cello on amazon, a student one to play on my free times because I used to play on a orchestra and needed to have the bridged and soundpost placed. I called her, and she refused to “waste her time” with me, because I didn’t have an expensive instrument. She was extremely rude and even refused to give me contact of others luthiers around, it’s sad to see that apparently she only wants to help rich people who can afford expensive instruments. Hopefully people with more resources than me will advocate for her to change her attitude towards less privileged people.

Address: 69 S Turnpike Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492 , Wallingford , Connecticut , United States
Great selection of music; mix of used and new. In it’s new spacious location, glad to see how far they’ve come
A great place for new releases, used albums, and a lot of stuff you haven’t discovered yet.
Amazing Vinyl record store! Gems and rarities. Must visit and often.
Redscroll has an awesome selection of new and used vinyl at reasonable prices and everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Only minor negative is that all aisles are very narrow…but that doesn’t take away from the store or the great experience.
Edit, after owner apology I have been down there a few times and also bought from them online. Thank you!
My wife and I used to go down there 3 or 4 times a year. Great selection of music and to begin with, friendly staff. Each time we’d spend well over $100 there. Last time we were there we brought our three children with us, one of which is on the autism spectrum. The one on the spectrum was having a tough day and was all over the place with his movements. We were having a hard time reigning him in and after an employee on the register yelled at him we decided it was time to leave. My wife took him outside while I paid for what we were buying, which was upwards to $200. I was not greeted with as much as a hi nor did I receive a thank you. I guess the message was clear that my business was not welcome anymore. I haven’t been since and removed the Redscroll sticker off my car. It’s too bad as the stores selection is really good. But if you have children with issues I suppose it’s best to leave them home or simply stay away.
Edit, after owner apology I have been down there a few times and also bought from them online. Thank you!
Great little store wide variety of vinyl
Place sucks BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I visited this store for the first time several months ago. I left an honest review of my impressions of the store and oddly enough it disappeared, curious.
Let’s start with the 1 dollar albums. They are packed in so tightly in their drawers that it is impossible to browse through them. You have to crouch down in the narrow aisle to access them (preventing other customers to pass by).
The CDs are also impossible to look through because they are jam packed together.
It seems like their categories are a bit nebulous. They don’t seem to know what “New Wave” is.
Shockingly there is NO RESTROOM for customers. I was told to “drive down the street to use another rest room in some other place of business.” Needless to say, I would never do business with them again, nor would I recommend the store to anyone who is an avid record collector.
Frankly, it is very unprofessional to reprimand your employees in front of customers.
Lastly, I really don’t need a response to this, because the responses to negative reviews are condescending and never seem to address the concerns of the customers.
Found this store when I was attempting to find vinyl for a favorite artist of mine. The album was scheduled for release in about a month at that time, so I decided to take a ride to Wallingford to check out the store and pre-order the vinyl. The sales rep at the counter seemed disinterested and vaguely took my name and number, saying they would call when it arrived. I never got the call. I found my desire elsewhere.
They have a fantastic selection, but this employee let me down.
