Michael did an amazing job playing at our son’s rehearsal dinner. From the first song he played, we knew we had made the right choice in entertainment. Not only can he sing, he has such a pleasant personality! Thank you Michael
Brought my 18 yr old grandson to Terry to replace guitar strings and tune. Very professional and fair price!! Will go back!!!! Thk you Terry!!!
Terry is Awesome to work with! His prices are very fair and the quality of work is top notch. I’d refer anyone looking for a professional Luthier to Terry.
Terry did a fantastic job on 3 of my guitars, and I will be taking a few more to him coming up! Excellent work, a great guy and an awesome bandmate! I highly recommend him!
6. All Star Music Center
Address: 3981 Athens Hwy, Loganville, GA 30052 , Walton County , Georgia , United States
This is a great location with a friendly, knowledgeable owner, that can fix anything on a guitar (at least all my issues so far). John has also taught me some basic repair skills enabling me to service some of my own needs without having to spend any money. They teach instrument lessons on site, and are the perfect place to pick out a good starter guitar. In addition, I’ve always purchased other odds and ends such as guitar straps, strap locks, picks, strings, etc. Make sure you stop in before going to a big corporate store. All Star Music Center can save you a trip!
Very helpful, I had no idea u could tune ur guitar with an app on ur phone
John has been involved in music his entire life. John is music. So any questions you have or help you may need, John will go beyond what you get at any other music store.
John is always really helpful but the other guy gives the cold shoulder alot of the time. Overall though, great store.
Very friendly place, with knowledgeable people, but the used gear is over priced. Perhaps they like their equipment and instruments like their wine: aged, dry, and of course with heavy wear and tear. They offer a number of new products as well, lessons, and great repair jobs!
Great owner; he didn’t perform the type of repair I needed for violin, but he contacted his buddy who made the repairs for less than $80.
Place needs to just close! doubt me, go see what I’m talking about.
I’ve been here 3 times during store hours. nobody at the store go to another shop.
Literally 4:08pm on a Saturday I show up. They were not open. Sign on the door says 10am-6pm. Very disappointed.
They might as well just take my whole paycheck! And I don’t mean that in a bad way. Their book selection is fantastic for one. They carry some popular ones you see everywhere, but they also carry some fantastic options I don’t think I would have ever found otherwise. They have options for every season of life too it seems which I love. I got most of my Christmas/birthday gifts here because they have something for men, women, and even kids. I love the variety they carry. The wall art, jewelry, and little gifts are always the cutest options which is why I say they might as well take all my money. On top of the fantastic selection I want to shout out the staff. I come here way too often and I have NEVER had a bad experience. Sometimes I browse for a while. I never feel rushed, they are happy to give recommendations, or answer any questions and they make you feel welcomed every single time. I am so glad they are in the area! Such a great addition to Monroe!
I could spend all day in this store! I am so thankful for a Christian bookstore close to me!! They have the best staff too.
Didn’t have mych of anything
9. HIDDEN TREASURES ANTIQUES
Address: 106 W Fambrough St, Monroe, GA 30655 , Walton County , Georgia , United States
What is on the outside of this drab building in no way reflects what’s on the inside. I just walked around this rather large building, shaking my head and wondering if anybody knew about this place. Very impressive. The vendors are very friendly. An over all good experience .
Nice shop. Very friendly staff.
New place. Go check it out. May find yourself a hidden treasure. New Dealers, new stuff.

Address: 1118 Monticello St SW, Covington, GA 30014 , Walton County , Georgia , United States
My son takes guitar lessons with Logan and loves it. Employees are courteous and friendly.
Wonderful Experience, friendly people. Great teachers, too.
Covington Icon. Family owned and operated. Great people. Tell Scott I said hey.
small friendly store and have knowable staff
It’s ok
A convenient location for the Covington area. However, I’d prefer to visit the Conyers Music & Arts store. The staff at McKibben did not strike me as entirely friendly and unapproachable. Could have been a bad day but considering the lackluster item selection as well, I won’t be returning.
Our loved piano teacher increased the fee so we thought we would try piano lessons here. Spoke several times to a lady on the phone whom encouraged us to “try” out a lesson. Never ever stating there is a $25 fee. I do not mind paying, but I did mind being surprised when leaving.
Upon arrival the older gentleman was SUPER sweet. That is so important to me. Very kind and nice man. It changed slightly when I was surprised I owed money, but that’s fine.
The piano instruction “room” is a very dingy, dark and TINY closet with an electric piano. I was expecting a real piano, not electric and it was very claustrophobic room.
We met with Rosa. At first she was ok. But she really has a persona of being annoyed about things. She suggested getting a notebook to write notes but we already had one with and she really, obviously, didn’t like our book . She did not instruct on posture or finger placement, I told my daughter, use point of finger, not the whole finger, sit up straight… i think thats 101 and should be imp. There were several instances where I felt she was just annoyed. When we left, she didn’t say anything like it was so nice to meet you, I look forward to working with you, have a wonderful evening, etc… she actually was annoyed about me asking fees for a partial month and rudely told me to speak with the front… since we are in the Oct already I was only curious about the monthly fee. She walked us halfway to the front, turned around and left… did not smile, wait for us to officially end the goodbye… I had actually said nice to meet you, thanks for your time, have a good evening to her back. Very very odd. That sealed it for me
*surprise fee
*closet of a room
*electric, not real, piano
*Rosa not very nice
*the entire place, even bathroom desperately needs renovation
We are happily taking our original piano teachers increased fee and looking forward to her excellent instruction in a beautiful room with a real piano.
Nice family business, but its just not for us. We wanted to try the other piano teachers and told yes we could. But… oh… they’re booked sweet gentlemen and I’m sure the other instructors are great. If I had known it was electric piano and that tiny room, I may not have even bothered. If it was listed somewhere, I obviously missed it. I hadn’t looked at the website. Just reviews and word of mouth.
Website is out of date. No so called “cancellation” policy which is a big one. No make up visits unless the teacher is sick. Yeah. My son has asthma and allergies and was sick 2 times during a May. Texted with the teacher to set up make up time and was never told about the policy until my son called Mac, the owner, who thought my questions were funny and he laughed at me. He offered $25 back as May has 5 Tuesday’s and basically he gave me one missed class back refund. We’ll see. Honestly I don’t like the attitude of this owner and I certainly don’t like the lack of professionalism he has and the website also not being up to date. If u r going to have a website make sure ur policies are on it and the correct rates are as well. Won’t be going back either way. Keep your $25 I guess you need all that cancellation or missed time money for sick kids to run ur business.
asked if they had a ukulele and they didnt which was fine so we asked the guy to give us a call once they had them in stock we wrote down our number for them. Never received a call bought my ukulele some where else
This thrift store has some good finds although some items are priced high. Ever changing selection and fairly well organized. Check it out, never know what you might find!
Didn’t find anything today.
Friendly
I shopped here about a yr ago. Nice people. The clothing couldve stood to have a 2nd opinion before going out on the floor for sale as many pieces were stained and/or torn. But nice shopping experience.
This is a great idea to help people who fall short and hard times but F.I.S.H. has lost their mind with the prices. They have increased the prices on “free” donated good at least 3x maybe 4x what the price should be. They price about $2.00 less from regular stores, so add $2.00 to the cash you have to spend and you can go buy it brand NEW at the retail stores. Looks like F.I.S.H. has gone to far with their inflation price increase. I don’t even think some of the items they have are even from the citizens of Walton County. Some of the items look new, (and some are cause the price tags from the original store are still on the item, and then you can see the $2.00 difference I was talking about. You really have to know prices on items or you might pay a little more at F.I.S.H., than if you bought it new at the retail stores.
Either way F.I.S.H. NEEDS TO LOWER THEIR PRICES BEFORE THEY SPOIL SOMETHING GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITY.
I guess someone has to pay for the newly paved area behind the building where you drop items off. I hope they will consider lowering their over inflated prices. The white chair $89.99 and the coffee table $129.99. I don’t go to a second hand donated used items store expecting to pay these prices. An antique mall, maybe but not a “Thrift” store as they are so called named. Used donated items at a thrift store should not cost an arm and leg to buy.
Could not find people to help. The lady who checked me out was just rude and made me feel bad for having to shop there. She acted like i was inconveniencing her. I think it is a shame they let people like her volunteer there.
I purchased a Fitbit today from the Monroe store. THERE WAS NO FITBIT IN THE BOX. The item was in their protective case up by the register so nobody could have stolen the Fitbit before I purchased it. The original price was $49.99 but thankfully today was half off Friday so I didn’t lose the full $50. In the box there was only the instruction manual and a protective band for the Fitbit, no charger or fitbit tracker. If y’all price a item at $50 you should at least check the box before selling it. I could not check the box myself as the line was incredibly long and the only way to get items from the case was to ask for them while already checking out. I wish there was some way to get my money back, but I doubt returns are accepted. Even if returns were accepted I doubt a worker would even believe my story about a $50 fitbit being sold without a actual fitbit in it. This is now officially the most expensive cardboard box I have ever purchased.

This is a wonderful store! The staff is very friendly and experienced in all things musical!
I received A+ excellent service for my first visit today. I was greeted when I walked in, and received customer service immediately. Courtney, one of the workers there, went above and beyond assisting me with the amp and guitar I purchased today. I look forward to shopping there again in the near future for additional guitar accessories. Satisfied*
Was looking for accessories for my new microphone, called up here and was helped by Courtney. She helped up fix our issue without even having to come in! Thank you
Need more and a greater variety of stock, but awesome place otherwise.
Very helpful I got exactly what I needed and nothing else.
I paid for a month of voice lessons in advance and I wanted my money back and no one would try to work with me to get my refund back they wouldn’t even let me switch instructors, give me store credit, or anything to try to work with me. The employees favorite line was the system wouldn’t let them give me a refund back it’s alway the system fault ok well call tech support but guess what they can not call music and art Tech support department! I do not recommend anyone to take any type of lessons from this store at all! To many issues to get your refund back!
Went for a guitar setup, my guitar was returned with the tremelo bridge so low that it slammed into the guitar body cavity. Also they used lemon oil on a maple neck which is a no go for me. Did not make a scene there because my son was with me. Essentially paid $50 for a new set of strings which werent weren’t installed correctly. My guitar has locking tuners yet they still wrapped the strings. Spent 2 hours fixing my guitar myself. I would advise everyone to steer clear. If you need a guitar setup, go to a luthier.
I’m very disappointed in the treatment my daughter received today by the instructor Joanie Fitzgerald. Let me be clear, this review is in no way on the entire staff or the services Music Arts offer as a whole. I’m simply doing my review on Joanie Fitzgerald who is an instructor at Music and Arts. This was my daughters second piano lesson in her life as a 9 yo. Ms Fitzgerald was attempting to give in instructions but she kept messing up. She told my 9yo she’s not listening and that she’s not going to help her because she’s already doing too much. When the session ended she never came out to give me feedback instead she locked the door behind my daughter and I’m assuming that’s because she knew I would’ve confronted her on her behavior. I spoke to the young lady at the front desk and advised her I would like to switch instructors immediately. I will see how this goes with the new instructor and if not I will remove my child and follow up with a new review. We live in some sensitive times and I will keep my assumptions to myself but I will say I don’t speak to my kids this way and if she’s not capable of teaching children she’s in the wrong field. My daughter stated she felt sad and I’m so disappointed because I wanted this to be a great experience for her. I’m not sure how they select their staff but everyone deserves to be treated equally….
20. Gwinnett Discount Music
Address: 155 Gwinnett Dr, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 , Walton County , Georgia , United States
I brought a violin bow in for repair but it was broken in the process.. Gwinnett Discount Music gave me a brand spanking new bow for free for the inconvenience. And they also helped me with my violin bridge issue. Thanks for the help! I will return in the future.
Very good option, and good customer service.
They were very knowledgeable of everything and made the entire process of renting an instrument extremely easy.
Hard to park because of the narrow parking entrance. Employees were kind and there were a variety of instruments available.
We were in and out fast. The staff knows their stuff
It’s a small store and it could use more options, but suits basic needs.
They want to charge me just to tell me how much the repair costs
The employee I spoke with was very nice. Unfortunately when I spoke to the owner about selling 2 of my instruments, he was quiet the opposite. He didn’t greet me what’s so ever, barely made eye contact, went straight to inspecting the instruments. He Told me he didn’t want one because it was “falling apart and it would cost more to fix” (which it wasn’t, it was barley used) and offered me an extremely low price for the other instrument, without any explanation. I ended up going to Music GO Round in Duluth and I’m extremely glad I did. Both instruments were in good condition.
I can never get a call back from this place. In person, the service is great but they have had my son’s instrument for 3 weeks and no one will return my calls. Very disappointed.
