My daughter has been taking drum lessons with Chris for a few months, and I am amazed at how much she has learned. Chris is a talented musician, and he knows how to connect with his students. My daughter enjoys every lesson with him.
Ms. Harris at TR Music and Voice Lessons is an amazing piano teacher who tailors lessons to our son Mason’s interests, keeping him passionate about playing.
They are so easy to work with and flexible. Always supportive of my children. They love going and are part of a community.

The best audio company for upcoming and established artists looking to do it all themselves. Very happy with this business!
I spent years trying to figure out how to mix vocals through bad YouTube tutorials that made it way harder than it needed to be. With Baywood’s presets, it made it easy for me to learn and allowed me to create literally 10x more music at a much higher quality than I had been before. 10/10 recommend!!!!!
Baywood Audio makes it easy and fun learning and mixing music!!!
6. Frank Ierna Piano Tuner
Address: 7195 33rd St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 , West and East Lealman , Florida , United States
Very pleasant and professional. I would definitely recommend this company.
Frank just tuned the piano at Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber Restaurant on Clearwater Beach. Myself and Lloyd are two of the piano players there and we felt that he did a fantastic job! The notes are all in very good tune and sound much more clear than before. He also came out quickly to do the job. Thanks again!
I’ve had my piano for almost 30 years, and for each of them someone from the Ierna family has tuned it.
Frank knows his craft well and has always taken excellent care of my piano from tunings to regulation to squeaky pedals to adjusting the internals.

Gave great advice on the repair of my guitar strings. The owner (Mr.Villano), made helpful and insightful suggestions. Very knowledgeable!
My experience with Mr. Villano recently was quite memorable. I needed a family member’s guitar restrung-I did not have any reference but liked what I read on the website so after calling to inquire pricing and hours I took the guitar to his shop on a Friday. He let me know the additional touch ups that he would do aside from the strings. The strap also needed to be re-placed and upon his suggestion I agreed. Mr Villano called me the next day to let me know it was ready! I could tell the difference as soon as he took it out of the case! I don’t play guitar but have always appreciated a ‘fine tuned’ instrument. He also shared with me the history of this particular guitar which was quite interesting! I appreciated the quick turn around and cannot wait for my brother-in-law to pick it up and play!
Thankyou!

It would be nice if they open when they say they will be open…
Nice staff. Small inventory
Called the store to see if they could repair an isntrument for me and as I was calling I also visited their website. The website said closed so I hung up and was going to call back tomorrow. I then received a call from them which I didn’t ask for and I tried to explain why I was calling but the guy told me I was wasting my time. He never listened to what I had to say. I would have not given any stars but that is not an option to post. Rude.
I called to ask what thier business hours were on a Thursday at 1:30pm. The old man answered the phone “Villano Music”. He hung up on me I thought by accident so I called back. The second time he answered with, “didn’t you notice I hung up the phone?” I don’t think he wants his business to last. Go to Sam Ash if you want a courteous person. Wow what a disappointment.
Brought my brand new telecaster in for a setup and the owner did a good job, however when I brought it in a few weeks later to have fret sprout addressed, the owner mangled the high E side of the fretboard. It appears he used improper tools, sloppy technique, and did no protective taping. It is rough, uneven, and he also proceeded to over bevel the frets to almost 3 times the proper length so the string constantly pops off the side. When I brought it to his attention and asked him to pay to have the neck that he ruined replaced, he refused.

My Martin HD28 now plays easier and sounds better than ever. Seven C’s reset the neck, refretted, replaced the nut, reset the saddle and patched up the inside.
When I brought it in, it was a mess. Now it plays better than any time since I bought it almost 30 years ago.
I am loving playing again after many years of struggling. If you have not had your axe checked recently, bring it to Seven C’s.
These cats know the craft, real luthiers. It doesn’t matter what you play, you get zero snobbery with the occasional ribbing. An 80’s Floyd Rose and a RR V, still they welcomed me
Dave and Joel are great.
I’m in guitar heaven
Nice place, a bit pricey. $50 for new strings. Pretty good selection.
Took my Taylor NS32ce here about a year ago at other location, I was having some buzzing and tuning issues and thought it needed an adjustment, Owner agreed and took a look at the guitar and decided it needed a new neck joint shim, he asked to complete the job in store right then, I thought this was weird, but had read reviews that it was a good shop and I believe that they were affiliated with Taylor working there in the past or something so I trusted his judgment. This was a poor decision on my part, I watched him do the entire job in front of me in about a hour, I tried to tune up and play the guitar in store seemed OK at the time, but couldn’t really get a good listen inside a busy shop. When I got home the guitar was trashed, would not stay in tune for anything and felt like the neck was completely out of place from the new shim. Deflated, I took it to Sam Ash in Clearwater and had the tech take a look he agreed with the faulty work and kept it for a couple weeks and when I got it back it played like a dream again. I wasted a $100 at this place. I see the good reviews and wish the shop the best of luck, but wanted to tell my experience.
Went over the weekend to check this place out with my son. Who is an avid guitar player and has a pretty impressive collection. Went in to get some help/ tips on a guitar he just purchased and one of the gentlemen (the one with the skully in the pic) that work their is just snobby and was such a downer no help at all. Thank god my son didn’t really listen to anything he said or was discouraged cause that guy didn’t really know what he was talking about because we actually ended up finding what we needed somewhere else who was a more educated guitar player. Definitely don’t recommend this place for anything else other than nice location. I was truly disappointed. Do better guy.
If anyone needs great service and you can actually feel welcome and play guitars go to ST PETE GUITARS
Very vibey store and unwelcoming. No one really ever spoke to us. We came to spend money but decided to take our business elsewhere. They had a lot of nice stuff but no one ever asked if we wanted to play something. By the way, I think this may be my first review.
10. Mad Music
Address: 6632 Central Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33707 , West and East Lealman , Florida , United States
Been going there for years. A community institution.
Good people that are very knowledgable about guitars and friendly to boot!
I’ve bought guitars and gear from them before, and will continue to buy strings and other maintenance equipment from them.
Every time I walk into this store, I am absolutely blown away with how kind and knowledgeable the gentlemen behind the counter are. I am VERY new to the bass and drums- I came in for a strap lock, which they took the time to put on for me FREE OF CHARGE and chat with me about what I was learning, who I was studying and listening to, and gave me pointers as to what I should practice to get better. On a separate occasion, I came in for a drum key and drum pad and had been in the store for all of 5 minutes and was given great pointers on what exercises I should become proficient in. I’ve never felt talked down to for being new like at some corporate music stores and they were genuinely excited for me to start learning my instruments. A breath of fresh air.
Great tambourine
Nice people and helpful.
I was looking for a pair of drum sticks ( more less i had been thinking about when i get around to a music store and i was sitting at a a craft and drink / dessert place and saw the MAD MUSIC sign & desided to trot over and peek inside it was. pretty interesting and I got my drum sticks so now that I am retired living with my adult daughter 38 and 15 year old son its operation pay back time but I took it at the. Gee that would be a really enjoyable healthy way to keep my wrist limber ! who said aging wasn’t going to be fun!
WOW!!
sorry to have to report this… Following a $1100 guitar purchase at MadMusic, got home plugged it in and realized I had a switch problem, called MadMusic and was promply told I didn’t know what I was talking about when comparing the guitar to one of the same make & model two years apart. I reluctantly opened the pickup cavity to find electrical tape failing Solder joints and floating bare wires, explaining the crackling clicks pops and inconsistent sound coming from the switch.
Not willing to even entertain the possibility there might be a problem with the instrument I just purchased, i’m left with the opinion, and I must report… these folks are liars and misrepresent the products they sell. What a drag, seemed like such a cool place.
My closest friend purchased a guitar amplifier Fender front man 25R for $ 250.00 traded it in yesterday at a local music store, they informed him it was only worth $90.00 they said mad music took him to the cleaners, I was standing next to him. I would stay clear of this music store, all musicians!
Called store and Customer Service is non-existent, felt like I was bothering the guy. Spoke as if I was annoying him. This attitude just cost them a sale. If I could go as low as 0 stars, I would.

Address: St. Petersburg, FL 33714 , West and East Lealman , Florida , United States
I was referred to Kelly from a colleague about doing my audio book with Sound Source Studios (Kelly). I didn’t know what to expect. When I tell you that my experience with Kelly has been nothing short of extraordinary. The quality of my audio is above average and little did I know that the fee INCLUDES editing! I have also hired him to do a music video and when I tell you that he is consistent and the consummate professional … He is! On a scale from 1 to 10, Kelly & Sound Source Studios is a 1000!!!
Having been a member of the Team of Central Music for many years, serving as Regional Manager for the Rodgers Church Organ Division in Southwest Florida, this great company is family to me. The combined experience of the sales and technical team is unsurpassed. There is no other company out there quite like Central Music, Inc.
Thank you so much for your proactive approach to deliver our beautiful, customized finish, Johannus Live 3T-A organ on time. It has been an enjoyable experience purchasing our Johannus organ from Central Music in Clearwater, Florida. We appreciate all of the efforts of President Timothy Newby and his team. My wife and I recommend Central Music for a purchase of an organ or piano.
Wonderful! Staff members are very helpful and determined to help you find your perfect instrument.
Bad customer service, very rude
Owner stood over me questioning about my income. Felt very unwelcoming. She claimed to do a lot of work with the church, but should probably read the Bible again. There are better piano shops where people welcome aspiring musicians…
They have good spaces, good equipment and the sound is right on. Kinda cool to find a B3 organ and a real piano, just plug and play, dont have to haul any amps and stuff so it’s easy. Very flexible on time, we asked for extensions twice and they accomodatdd.
Awesome studio. Well equipped, great staff.
great rehearsal space
Great spot, friendly staff, good rates
Really Kool place. The guy there was super fair. Bought something “as is” and he still gave me my money back. Upstanding guy.
if your just looking for a place to jam out. this is it.
if your wanting to barrow equipment. they got it
if you want clean, luxury space. they don’t really offer you that
if you want state of the art gear. they have only the standard. just enough to get you through practice.
if you want nice employees. you got them
I would recommend to anyone who just wants a quick practice
17. Douglas Lichterman – Guitar Instructor
Address: 2910 11th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713 , West and East Lealman , Florida , United States
He is a great instructor! My boyfriend goes to him for guitar lessons, but he helped me with cello lessons as well. Without a doubt, I absolutely recommend him!
Love his style of teaching he is overall the nicest teacher I have ever met and I look forward to every class I go to… I would suggest that if you are learning guitar to try him out as he has help me a lot in my guitar life in such a small amount of time!
Taking lessons with Douglas has been a game changer for me over the last year and a half. The first lesson we spent time trying to figure out where I was in my skill set. He quickly figured out where I could best focus my time and effort. He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve met in Florida, patient and willing to work on the challenging areas that I’d usually skip or speed through. He’s helped me slow down and play music. He’s taken some songs that I had no idea that I could play already. I just needed someone to simplify it, break it down into more manageable pieces. This man has lived a life of music and is kind enough to share his expertise with the world. I’ve seen him shift from one genre to the next, effortlessly. I leave our sessions excited, wanting to rush home to work on the latest piece, lick, mode, scale etc… I was inspired to improve more in the last year than the previous 3 years combined. He’s awesome.
Appears he is no longer in business. Called separate times on separate days and no answer. Last time I called, on the 4th ring someone picked up the phone and hung up. Maybe the ad should be removed?

Wow! Rick’s Vintage Guitars was a really really great find for me to take care of my guitars. Super knowledgeable about all things guitar. Truly a nice guy. After about 30 seconds I felt like I had known him for years. Dropped off my Strat at 4 on friday and picked it up at 5 on saturday. If you need any help with your guitar setup you won’t find a better place to go. Also, you will have made a new friend.
Rick is the BEST! I called him cold to order a couple Marshall logos and the transaction was flawless. Incredible communication and crazy fast shipping. Thanks Rick!
Rick of Rick’s Vintage Guitars is amazing! He was available, when I needed help with my acoustic 12 string. If anyone wants prompt service this is the man to go too. So friendly! You can truly tell that he has a passion for guitars, and the knowledge to back it up. Ty so much Rick, you are amazing. Pam
Great guy to talk with! Pointed me in the right direction on finding vintage guitars!

Awesome recording studio. I had a rehearsal there we did not record so I have no idea how professional they’re recording or the quality of their recordings. Everyone that I met at Zen recording was very cordial and I enjoyed the environment.
