Knowledgeable staff makes shopping there a quick and easy task.
Great service, lots of music books and instruments to choose from.
The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They worked with me on renting a violin. It was slightly used and a reasonable price
Very helpful and chatty. Interesting guy working behind the counter good conversation decent prices, it’s a good shop
I’m a long time musician. I’ve been here many times over decades. I have to admit that I often feel as if I’m being watched when I go here. My guess is they get people stealing items a lot. I only come here when I know exactly what I need and I’m in and out.
Parking here is terrible! Spots are tight and if you have a full-size truck or SUV, I would park on the side street. I’ve had a son who took lessons here at one time, and I did as well many moons ago. Overall, that was a good experience. This is one of the only places with an extensive sheet music collection.
Damn. Hella unique instruments from many cultures across the world. Can’t believe I haven’t been shopping here all along.
I didnt go in but glad to know its still there
Expensive
Never shopping with Klines ever again! I live 3 hours away so I wanted to make sure Klines had 2 of the same pickups, so I called first and they said yes. I spent the gas, hours of driving only to learn they had one and he tried to sell me a more expensive pickup for the second. I told them I was not willing to pay the higher rate and instead of adjustable their cost they told me to go elsewhere… I did and from now on, I always will.
3. Jesse Christian Hendricks, Spanish Guitar
Address: 1500 7th St, Sacramento, CA 95811 , West Sacramento , California , United States
Jesse is one of the best musicians I’ve ever came across! I recently hired him to come to our christmas party and let me tell you it was absolutely amazing! everyone fell in love with his music! he’s with out a doubt a very talented young man! I would recomend him to anybody, you’ll definitely won’t be disapointed the only suggestion I would make is for anybody that’s planning to hire him to call with sometime in advance as he gets booked fast, it took me 6 months to finaly get him hired but it was definitely worth it!
La Contenta Golf Club was lucky enough to book Jesse for our Valentines special event nite and he exceeded our expectations! He was professional, played beautiful music, was on time and his guitar skills were magical. Grateful for the ambiance he created throughout the evening and look forward to booking with him again in the future! As the events coordinator I highly recommend booking him! Mallory Russell, La Contenta Golf Club
Elisa and I really enjoyed your guitar music. It was light and refreshing during our reception and the guests really enjoyed it. You were so personable and added an element of relaxation to an already busy day. We received many compliments. Thank you!
Jesse was great! He showed it up time and all the guest loved his music.

Sooo surreal yes I liked the studio as well. Drip is koo
6. Suzuki Piano Academy
Address: 1275 Starboard Dr, West Sacramento, CA 95691 , West Sacramento , California , United States
We have Teacher Chloe and both my boys (8 & 14) enjoy her teaching. Highly recommend Suzuki method and Suzuki Piano Academy.
A piano lesson with Heather is a highlight of my son’s week. He has been learning to play the piano at Suzuki Piano Academy for almost two years, and he has progressed a lot – from what seemed initially as never-ending Twinkles when he was 5 to reading sheet music at 7. As a parent, I always enjoy observing the lessons. I love how Heather is both patient and demanding, she can challenge a child in a playful way, and I have been learning a lot myself just by observing all kinds of tricks the teacher seems to always have up her sleeve. I would recommend the Suzuki method and Suzuki piano academy to anyone. You won’t even notice how your child fell in love with playing the instrument.
Our girls have learned so much so fast with Suzuki Piano Academy! Their methods to first become familiar with hand placement and and recognizing notes and rhythm before reading music has made such a difference! Chloe is a patient and engaging teacher and has taught so much technical skill while also fostering a love for music within her students. We love Suzuki!
Our four year old started eight months ago when she was three. The two teachers she has had have both made her learning experience fun and engaging, even when we were under SIP orders. Our daughter enjoys creating new songs from what she has learned and I am pleased by what she has learned from the Suzuki methods and techniques over this short amount of time.
7. Got A Gig Music
Address: 3661 N Freeway Blvd #100, Sacramento, CA 95834 , West Sacramento , California , United States
Great place for instruments – great selection – great service.
Very friendly staff! They give lessons. You can buy instruments and purses there too!
Great staff! I was able to get my bassoon fixed professionally and quickly. Our go to place for repairs and good deals on great instruments.
Not good
John has always done great work and always fairly priced – one of the best technicians in the area – otherwise, you have to go to the bay area.
Cool place
Absolutely horrible experience. I walked in without a mask (mask law has been lifted), I didn’t have a mask. So the woman asked me if I needed help, and then she started telling me I needed a mask or I need to get out. I asked her if she has a mask and she rudely said no and told me to get out they’re definitely losing customers if they keep it up
Very disappointed, women yelled on me for no reason. I asked her to stop yelling and the man came from the back door and cussed me out badly.
He said for me to get out of the store and it was so mean.
If you don’t want to be disappointed, don’t even come to this store.
It’s really bad workers they are really aggressive don’t ever come here
8. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 755 Riverpoint Ct, West Sacramento, CA 95605 , West Sacramento , California , United States
Love that store. It has everything if it’s in stock. Sometimes in freezer sections or coolers there are alot of empty spots. Maybe they stock overnight.
Always clean , and great deals!
One stop shopping center awesome
Can be better.
Ok place when you need to get some shopping done
Always busy and no longer a 24 hr. location. They are well staffed and handle the lines well even at customer service. You will see solicitors on the way in for petitions and charities, all civil. Parking lots are patrolled.
Crazy crazy
i prefer to shop where the staff are paid a living wage and aren’t subsidized by welfare.
Well there was not much on the shelves. Sad day.
9. Battery Bob [independent Music]
Address: General delivery, West Sacramento, CA 95691 , West Sacramento , California , United States
Took my Gibson there that I bought new in 1988, dropped it of, picked it up a week later and it was better than new. Neck adjustment, filled the frets, new input jack .the action and intonation were better than factory and I’m in love with it again .
Bought a beat up Bass at the flea market, took it to them and they told me I’d be happier spending the money on a new Bass, as opposed to fixing the beat up one. They were right.
Dig.
Good service that you would expect from a professional guitar repair shop. Recently had the fretboard on my bass guitar fixed as it was coming unglued from the neck. The owner did a very good job for a very reasonable price as I was unsure if it could be fixed. The wait time was approximately three weeks, but that’s pretty typical in my opinion for instrument repairs when you are a repair shop that does good work.
Always been pleased with the work done on my my guitars but, doggone, the man lacks soft skills. Every time I decide to give him another chance I cringe for doing so.
Poor service, go elsewhere.
Editing my post after my last experience there. He refuses to use lemon oil, so my guitar smells like a dead fish again. I had him paint the body cavities with conductive paint and it was just really bad work. There was zero prep work done, spots that just weren’t bothered to be painted and the paint is already flaking off after a few months. Not to mention he just straight up missed huge spots in the pickup cavity. Just seems like lazy work. There was a lot of damage to the exterior paint as well. After complaining to him, he buffed out a few spots but other spots, like where the masking tape left a noticeable indent in the paint he basically told me there was nothing he could do and blamed it on the manufacturer for not using better paint. He’s delusional. Instead of allowing him to further butcher my guitar, I took it back and won’t let him touch another one of my guitars.
I think Dave is good for setups and electronics but I don’t think I’m bringing my guitars back to him after this and I would consider what I’ve said and look elsewhere for a competent luthier.
……………………………..
I had a fret leveling done on my strat. The work was finished before the quoted time frame and it was decent work. Frets were a little flat but it played okay. I recommend this shop for guitar work. Only negative was the linseed oil used on the fretboard. It smells like dead fish. Now I know to specify he use lemon oil next time.
Very poor customer service and honestly isn’t that the only reason to go to a place like this?

This review is for Side Door: awesome neighborhood venue with a relaxed vibe. Just went to our first show there on 6/28/19 – fantastic performance by the Pisstofferson Brothers. People of all ages were welcome. No food or drink at the venue but next door to hop garden and across the street from a convenience store, Gunther’s, and Pangea. Will definitely go back
A one of a kind place to enjoy the musical talent offered on Fridays and most Saturdays. March 14th will be a special night with Deb Smith as special guest along with original music of John Green and the SideDooros.
Had fun looking around. Lots of cool stuff to look at that bring back old memories. Sunny, the owner, is a delightful person. Check it out!
Great selection, all kinds of different collectibles, and fun finding that one of a kind gift, I will definitely be back soon
Good selection. Kind service will be back
Went in looking for some old camera supplies and gear.
Owner was very rude to me when I decided to not buy one of his projectors I had asked to see.
I shrugged it off and decided to buy some old film, but his Point Of Sale system wouldnt accept my card. Never said declined, just “No response”
He then proceeded to insult me claiming I was dirt poor and was trying to rob him of a ten dollar reel of undeveloped, partially exposed, 16MM film he was selling for $10.
Yea ok dude.
He accused me of lying about having money and continually bashed my integrity.
Overall a terrible experience, wont be coming back
Went to a shop nearby a got something similar, their POS system accepted my card
never going here again
Place is messy and nothing seems to be taken care of anyway.

Amazing store for vinyl lovers and quality hifi equipment in store!
Nice little hole in the wall record store with a great selection of Lps AND equipment. Both priced very well.
They are always very friendly and helpful.
Great record store, good place to find some hidden gems. Only downfall not a lot of hip-hop in the store.
Little out of the way record shop , buys records
The whole time I was in the store, not once the person in charge said hi or asked me what I’m looking for. It’s comical to experience stores with zero customer service, especially amid a pandemic.
