Awesome place. Got some great cds and stuff their.
Nice spot! Glad I made the trip up!
This place is awesome. Lots of great stuff and friendly service.
Good product
Cool record store on the smaller size, mostly oriented around classic rock – largely used items
Nice owner and it’s a nice piece of the downtown area
This place sucks
Disappointment and frustration. Drove over an hour to get to Putnam to find out this place is not open, when online said it was. 2 high profile collectors with plenty of cash to spend. Your loss. Will go elsewhere. You should also get someone to answer a phone and say what the deal is. Good luck. Zero stars.

This is a gem of a small business. Pop in and check them out!
When you’ve purchased yourself a new guitar, take some lessons with Skip Newmann! Skip is an incredible instructor, and the one on one learning is sure to advance your skills. My 11 year old started taking lessons about five months ago, and has built a strong set list. He’s learning techniques with picking and strumming; he’s working on tapping and bending; he knows some chords, and Skip introduced him to guitar tab; best of all, he’s having fun. Skip doesn’t teach solely by a book, so you can learn to play that song you’re dreaming of. My son’s rocking out to AC/DC! You’d be hard pressed to make a better investment.

Gibson’s has a large selection of acoustic and electric guitars. There’s always something new! They also have banjos and ukuleles, along with a selection of other used instruments at competitive prices. Feel free to pick up an instrument you’re interested in – they’re all properly set and tuned. If you need accessories, they have them. Stop by and browse the solid selection of used vinyl records. The owners are professional, kind and extremely helpful.
Owners are very nice….love the small music store feel….all the guitars were in tune that is totally awesome…. definitely recommend this place
This is a mixed business. I drove someone here to grab some collectables. I Frequently shop this place and it’s a good little store.
Inconvenient hours of operation. Ended up buying a used guitar elsewhere. Otherwise my phone call was promptly returned and the woman I spoke with was very kind and friendly.

Took the trip today medium selection of records 30 percent off all used vinyl made it great day to go. Very nice people working there priced albums in MINT condition. 99 cent bins also for cheap music some of them in great condition also. Glad I made the trip. Funny smell to store like I read no big deal to me kind of expected for used stuff make the trip if you love vinyls
Place was clean.
Owner was very kind and pleasing to sell my vinyls to. Happy with the interaction
Amazing collection.
For a neighborhood record store, not bad! Definitely small, but a few gems pop up here and there. The atmosphere was cozier at the old place, but Bliss marketplace suits it. Hopefully it will come back to its former glory once the pandemic is over.
Reopen in the Bliss market. He has lp,cd and shirts. Great selection of used.
Worst Record Store in CT hands down! walked in and the first thing I see and hear is somebody purposely playing the clarinet terribly, followed by somebody putting an object in a metal bowl and than moving it around making this terrible scraping sound. I have autism and sensory issues, which really bugged me when looking through their CDs, which brings me to another thing. terrible selection of vinyl’s and CDs with nothing appealing whatsoever, the awful “music” makers and people spectating were in the way of parts of the Vynil/CD collection too, making it difficult to see what they had. 0/10 would not recommend to anybody
Drove 45 minuets for the owner to tell me I didn’t think you would actually come I thought I told not too. When in reality he said they range from.05¢ to 200$ making me think I might leave with 20 or 30 bucks but no. He offered me 10$ for over 300 records.

I enjoyed talking to Mark about guitars. Thank you!
This is an excellent Community Music Store that has
access to everything that the large corporate Music Stores do and so much more! This is a real person to person experience that is best for Students, Professionals and everyone who has an interest in Music.
Comes up for violin lessons, but they no longer have a strings instructor. I asked them to call me about other places I could go to and they never did. Not good for violin lessons of course, but taking piano was fun.
Great instructors
