Best music store you can find they let you make payments and will order anything you need!
My daughter and I went in for some help with a used violin. We needed one string, but we weren’t sure what else. Nick helped us with putting the string on, rescuing the bridge that was inside rattling around, and tuning it for us. He educated us a little along the way, too. For our first visit, I highly recommend this business for music needs.
Great friendly service for your musical needs.
Very helpful, friendly employee
Good place good guy.
Big selection
Prices way too high
Old building but new instruments with knowledgeable owner

Started to buy a more expensive guitar as gift but after owner ask me several questions realized it wasn’t right for my nephew. Got what I needed at a better price and my nephew was elated. Music lessons are customized to age, ability, and what kind of music you like. My nephew was playing a real song after a few lessons.
If you’re looking for a professional music service in Northwest Alabama, look no further. Nick is knowledgeable, professional and is a fantastic instructor. He has the uncanny ability to listen to, understand and then focus on the goals of you, the student.
I have also taken several instruments to Nick to be worked on, from a string change to a full set up on a new instrument. He has also repaired several that I’ve been a little rough with.
All in all, whether you’re looking for a lesson or just want to find a new piece of gear, this is the place to go!
If you need any form of music lessons be it drums, guitar, piano, etc. Nick is your guy. The establishment provides a very relaxed and family friendly environment. He keeps all the accessories in stock such as strings, picks, and instrument cables. Jasper Music is highly recommended and a breath of fresh air in our community
The music store had the banjo strings I needed.

Quality clothing and more but very small price. How great is that.
Very helpful, GOOD place 2 shop. LOVE these hardworking people !
Where else can you find this variety of clothes my purchase still had original price tags!
They have alot of clothes and some are really decent. They need to offer more in jeans, kids clothing, and current weather appropriate items.
Decent clothes and name brands
It was ok
I traveled out of town and met one of the worst employees on the planet. Brenda Cummings is an incredibly racist employee. I’ve entered the store looking for bargains and all I’ve received was bigotry on her part. I have witnessed her harassing one of the other employees. I recognized her screaming and cussing towards one of the employees about one of the bathrooms that was already pre-cleaned. The employee in question was clearly working to standard when she was doing nothing but aggressively yelling at the employee in question. She brought this employee to tears while the manager was distracted. I don’t feel this was a safe experience to shop in I will not be returning.
I was visiting a friend and we decided to go thrifting and when we got there we encountered an employee who was screaming and cussing at what appeared to be the manager and another employee. I also heard the same employee degrading the same coworker who appeared uncomfortable. As an adult on the autistic spectrum it really triggered me and i asked my friend if we could leave because i felt unsafe. We left without purchasing anything and i dont believe i will be visiting any more of these locations after this experience.
Edit: I have sense learned the screaming employee’s name was Brenda.

I’ve bought a lot from Counts Brothers over the years and have always had a good experience with them. I highly recommend them .
Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about their equipment.
Great people great prices, Went to lowes and home depot for an estimate for my kitchen floor to be covered with linoleum, After sticker shock and saying a badd word lol I went to McCrory’s and immediately knew I was at the right place they came when they said they would they were courteous and did a jam up good job!
My go to store. Knowledgeable and helpful. Use their luthier services and amp repair services. In the last two years have bought two acoustic guitars, one new tele pro, new vibrolux, cables and a new set of tama drums. I Never try to negotiate prices because I want our local stores to thrive. Im a weekend regular. This may seem silly but Im knocking off a star because for a regular customer who does spend money and not just kick tires they should throw in a little something every now and again. A t shirt, a cable. A guitar strap, etc. When i bought the drum set and acoustic on the same day i picked up 6 generic guitar picks for which I was charged. Personally I would thrown those in for free. Hope this doesnt sound petty and this will continue to be my store for as long as they will have me. This is meant as constructive criticism only.
Many instruments in there such as acoustic and electric guitars. They come at a reasonable price and the people also have guitar lessons available for around 70 a month, I think.
Could have more music techs. I came in and looked at some guitars and amps but no staff approached me. Merchandise was great though!
Seems like some decent prices but very stale service.the blonde at the front desk acts like it hurts her face to smile r speak someone done told her she cute 1 to many times
Over priced needed Reed’s and I can get them 10 for 28-32 dollars any where. Theirs was 10 bucks as. And I had to have them that day. Nope I’m done with them
11. B&C Music
Address: 314C Billy B Dyar Blvd, Boaz, AL 35957 , Winston County , Alabama , United States
Nice, helpful, and Knowledgeable. My husband needed strings for an acoustic guitar that wouldn’t break because the ones he had all broke. The lady working suggested Para Digm strings and said they are break resistant so he bought them. We got home and changed all the strings and not one broke!! We will be going back… Thank you B&C !!!
Over priced. Only good if you need to grab a pack of strings or something small last minute.
Has variety of instruments and types of music. Carrie is a bubbly personality there
Excellent locally owned and operated business!
Awful place with cheap brands and overpriced / broken used instruments.
I felt watched and rushed. Two women were working there that day, one was very friendly. I did not feel comfortable asking questions and also it was so hot in there.
this place is burnt!
12. Hallman’s Music
Address: 1920 Sparkman Dr NW #2, Huntsville, AL 35816 , Winston County , Alabama , United States
Nancy Hallman is a patient, funny music teacher. She motivates my young teen to practice and play to her highest potential. She is an amazing teacher and my daughter thinks very highly of her.
Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased a saxophone from them. We’ve always been very helpful and they really do know their stuff
I asked my son’s band director where to send my son for lessons, without hesitation he recommend Hallman’s Music. I asked other parents and had received the same answer. My son took lessons from Nancy Hallman and Phyllis Peterson over a period of seven years. Both instructors were excellent. He went from being a sub-par beginning musician to making district band in a few months and made superior ratings every year there after. It was an astonishing change.
I had a co-worked who had a junior in high school and she was at the bottom of the barrel musically, she was in the schools “C” band as the only upper class man. I called Nancy Hallman and handed my co-worker the phone and told her to set up lessons. She set up lessons and her daughter took lessons from Mr. Peterson, two months later she made district band. The next school year she made the school jazz band after 5 months of lessons. This young lady is now a music major at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Hallmans transformed this student that had no passion for music into a musician.
My son played the alto sax, I noticed year after year that 7 of the 8 sax players in district band members were Hallman’s students, both at the middle school level and high school levels. State honor bands were the same way, Hallman’s students. One of my son’s peers was awarded the top musician in the state his senior year in high school.
After reading some of the other reviews here I would make the following observations:
If you want to put a pacifier in your kid’s mouth buy a $50 instrument off Craig’s list and have your kids dissatisfied and frustrated from playing an unplayable instrument, then this is probably not the place for you.
If Hallmans replace additional pads, it was because they presumed that you wanted an instrument that could actually be played by a student. My experience is when you think a pad or two is leaking and you fix it, you will find the next pad leaking and it was not particularity identifiable until you fix the two pads with the more significant leak.
If you want to raise a kid with skilled music instruction and the self esteem from being a good musician, then you have found the right place. The instructors are phenomenal.
I was always treated fairly with the sales and service and I ended up with a highly skilled musician who I am very proud of.
I appreciate that the owner works with a college student’s budget when tuning instruments.
Lady was very rude, mean, and laughed at my mother tripping over a step.
I HATE this place. They are very rude. When I came in they asked me things like “have you ever dropped your flute” in a very rude tone. I was tempted to just walk out of there and go to Southeastern. All they did was fix a leak and charged me about 60 dollars. When I picked up my flute they played it without my permission and basically told me I had a bad flute. The next time I needed a repair I took my flute to Southeastern and they did a wonderful job. Yes, both stores are a little over priced but Southeastern does a flawless job and is very polite.
We dropped off a banjo about 10 days ago with a lady that seemed competent and assured us that restringing it and replacing a few screws would be no issue and cost less than $25; 5 phone calls and 10 business days later, we still do not have our instrument returned to us. We are not happy and feel we have been given the run around. They keep assuring us that it is ready to be picked up but when we arrive, it suddenly needs a few more minutes. We had intended to purchase not only a clarinet in the future but also an oboe from these people but I’m afraid after this incident with the banjo, we will reconsider. We do not feel valued as customers. This is ridiculous and from now on we will take our business elsewhere.
