Great experience here. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. Got my Martin set up and playing real nice. Definitely trust Brandon. I will be back with other guitars and instruments.
Awesome store, my son has been taking lessons here for a while and loves it. The staff is great and they take time with each customer. Highly recommend for music equipment amd lessons
The best service and quality of work!!! Brandon is awesome!!
2. Martin’s Piano & Electronics Service
Address: 9851 Brockington Rd Ste 9, Sherwood, AR 72120 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
Went to find out the value of my flute. They were very nice and the dude had a cool mustache and beard lol. The other customers before me were also very happy with the deals they got on instrument repair. I do recommend this place.
Expert craftsmen in musical instrument repair and fantastic customer service. I couldn’t ask for a better repair job for any of my instruments. Staff are all exceptionally knowledgeable in not only newer instruments, but also possess an amazing historic wealth of information. Certainly the place to go!
I told them “I have a Gig tonight.” And they replaced the Neck Cork on my horn within an hour. I am Very Impressed with Independent Music. They NEVER Fail to get the job done in a timely Manners. And, “YES” I Will Return For Any Future Needs such as Overhauling my YAS 21 Sax.
Very helpful and informative
Did excellent work on my old trombone, very nice people!
I came in with a horn to have repairs done to it. I needed to have my saxophone’s neck recorked. I needed additional repairs, but above all needed the recorking. The repairman came up, looked at the instrument brand and said he could do nothing for me because if he broke something, he would have to make a part. I thanked him and walked out. I thought by the ratings that this would be a location with skilled craftsmen, but instead feel like it’s people prone to mistakes so they can only work on standard brands and not all instruments. I’d consider calling before coming. They are the only place around for quite a distance and driving over 60 miles to be treated like this felt very awful!
4. Quattlebaum Music Center
Address: 101 W Arch Ave, Searcy, AR 72143 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
I love this place. Friendly knowledgeable people who are nice to talk to. Great selection of instruments. Clean store and one of my favorites in Searcy.
Friendly place answered all
Our questions our questions
Impressively stocked, awesome customer service, beautifully maintained older building. I will definitely be returning.
Lots of instruments. Decent prices.
Friendly people, prices seem fair, selection was good.
Decent selection for a smaller store. Good prices! I’ve bought and rented equipment from them for years. Friendly service!!
Very rude to my wife and all she did was ask a queston please don’t do business with these people we don’t need rude people in this town.
I’ve purchased things from here before, but today, I felt as though my business was not wanted. I took a violin in due to having issues tuning it and the bridge popping off. Was told what I need to do. Told them thank you and asked my daughter if she wanted to look around. Was told to have a nice day. Was not asked if I needed help with anything else. Employee just walked away
Great home town store
5. Little Rock Violin Shop
Address: 316 E 11th St, Little Rock, AR 72202 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
Everyone was so perfectly kind and helpful never once feeling false or condescending. I was treated as an equal even though I had never played. This was the best experience I could have hoped for. Please do your self a favor and enjoy this shop without hesitation!
They were Soooo helpful and knowledgeable! Definitely will be back
Always a great experience in this place. I just love looking at the instruments being worked on and all the violins hanging around.
Unique violin shop
I love that there’s a local place to have your stringed instruments adjusted and usually while you wait. My only complaint is that they charged me two different prices for the same service. My family is new to violin lessons and the instrument, so I can’t be absolutely sure that there was no difference…but there should be a uniform price for tuning/restringing a 1/4 sized violin. The staff is very courteous and informative. They also have a list of great string instrument instructors.
6. Houck Music Co
Address: 806 W Main St, Cabot, AR 72023 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
I had fallen on it years ago and everyone I took it to in Boston said it couldn’t be fixed or wasn’t worth it. Devastating news… Scott had it finished really quick considering the amount of work and they were more than fair with the price. They also have some really unique and rare instruments come through the store.
They have a great community in Mountain View and Scott and Cha’s music store is a huge part of it. It was really nice to sit in the shop and chat while the locals came in to play tunes on the porch and the school kids all have their lessons.
Great place
Friendly and very helpful . big range of instalments to pick from I give it 4 stars.
Broke a string? Lost your pick? Need instrument repairs? THE place to go!
Rude and very hateful people. I have been going here for more than 10 years and I will never go back, and be treated in such a rude manner.
8. Billy’s House of Guitars
Address: 201 E Broadway, Glenwood, AR 71943 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
I am in Randy’s a couple times a month picking up something for the young musicians in the family, and have even taken a few guitar lessons myself. The owner is helpful and lessons are reasonable. My favorite localy owned business in Batesville.
I took a guitar in to get some work done on it and some new strings and some accessories. I am very pleased with the results Randy made in such a short time. Very knowledgeable. Will be returning
This is a great store to visit for all your music needs Randy is sweet and very enjoyable talking to very knowledgeable if you get the chance go see him
Not a super big store with lots of options but they have the things I need
Selection consists of mainly guitars, basses and a few country oriented instruments. Limited selection.
Great store
Biggest piece of trash you’ll ever meet in your life.
11. Ro-An Music Studio & Lessons
Address: 19231 I-30 Frontage Rd, Benton, AR 72015 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
i have experienced all teaching studios in bryant and benton area, R0-AN Music is best place for lessons. experience teachers and the cost is way cheaper. i love this place. gary is far the best guitar instructor, period. they also teach piano, drums , vocals. violin, bass. all string instruments.
I started playing guitar 30 years ago. I was pretty consistent for the first 15 years, but the last 15, not so much, so I decided to call Ro-An. I knew of Gary, but didn’t know him personally. I have had 2 lessons with him so far, and I can’t believe how much I’ve learned in such a short time. I was pretty much playing in circles and felt like I was stuck in a box. He’s shown me things to help get me out of the box. Gary really simplifies things and explains the guitar in a way that’s easy to understand. He enjoys it too, and you see that when he teaches. I highly recommend guitar lessons from Gary whether you’re a beginner or advanced player.
Excellent place for music lessons! Mrs. Hanson teaches piano to my grand daughter her patience and kindness are wonderful. They genuinely care about the student! Well worth the 30 minute drive for us. The price for lessons is the best we have found

13. Arkansas Musicworks
Address: 2400 SE J St, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
Such a wonderful music store. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always has exactly what my son who plays trumpet needs. Highly recommend!
Always a pleasure, fast shipping, and REAL customer service
Absolutely incredible! Greg got me taken care of and I walked out with a GORGEOUS uke and it just made my entire day!
Answered all my questions, spoke to me as an equal, and recommend what I needed, based off of my current level of knowledge!
Swapped a few things around and got me set up and ready to go in less than 30 minutes!
Thanks so much, forever a customer!
Good products and nice folks.
Beautiful looking stuff
Efficient store operation but lacks collection.
I thought I would take a chance on them, and bought an AllParts p90 spacer kit. Simple enough, most p90’s dogear covers are the same or very close. The All Parts one is WAY too big for Gibson, Epi, Lindy Fralin, and most dogear p90’s. Had they adequately given the measurements on their ad I would have bought elsewhere. They will refund, but with a %15 restocking fee because I opened it to see if I could make do with it, but it is almost 1/4″ too wide and 1/8 too long. What a waste of time. I went to a nearby autoparts store and bought a set of gasket materials and cut out my own in 15 minutes. Don’t buy the ALL PARTS p90 spacer kit. Or any of the others for that matter get a gasket kit and cut your own for $11, any height you want.
The manager/owner with the flat cap and black/grey beard couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction. He tries to rush customers into buying equipment, and is extremely rude to you if you don’t buy something right off the bat. I’ve witnessed this every time I’ve been in the store. I would highly recommend seeking a different music store with a competent manager that doesn’t solely care about taking your money. He is unpleasant to be around and lacks simple business concepts. Bottom line, there are plenty other music stores in NW Arkansas that will prioritize your satisfaction — don’t waste your time here.
Case And bow is falling apart. I wouldn’t recommend musicworks to anybody. Complete rip off. I got a 15 inch viola and within a year I had to get rid of it, because it was poorly made.
14. Valley Piano Co
Address: 3515 W Main St, Russellville, AR 72801 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
Super quick and knowledgeable! Got everything I needed to get my kiddo up and going with her new guitar!
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Good selection
Great place
Great people, a very old store
I went into to buy a guitar. Very small selection
Lots of sheet music and DVDs but it is all on the computer today. Wonderful people. I wish them well!
My visit was to test the integrity of an electric guitar I had. Spoke to the guy behind the counter. (The one with the gray streaked goatee). Told him I was preparing to sell it via Facebook, and all I want to do is see if it sounds as it should. He said it was ok I was like great thanks. The buyer was from outta town and was shopping for guitar supplies. She had just bought amp still needed a cord possibly more. Asked her to meet up there since she was just down the road. She wanted to go in do to the rain. Instantly he started ranting that he’s a business man a professional and I was shady for what I had done. I was very polite. My reply ( I’m sorry I brought you a customer sure she meet up with me to buy a guitar for cheap but she still may need something) she was there for his childish act. ( she replied I do need a cord) He didn’t even bother to respond to her. He looks at me says someone smells bad like cigarettes… Wow 0 stars for your sir. Where’s your public relations at. Your welcome for that sell.
15. Remix Music
Address: 3855 Elm Springs Rd, Springdale, AR 72762 , Wrightsville , Arkansas , United States
We bought a guitar here for our son a couple weeks back. One guy was way too salesy and talked too much but I like supporting local so we bought one.
Firstly, this shop provides great service on guitars, setups and string changes. But beware of purchasing a guitar that is not currently hanging on their shelf. For example, the Fender American Professional II Strat, comes in 9 different colors. If you want a color that isn’t hanging on their wall, they will offer to get it for you, but it will be considered a “special order” and not eligible to be returned. This is an odd policy since they are an authorized Fender dealer. If you order the guitar direct from Fender, or Sweetwater, or any other online retailer, the guitar is eligible for return no questions asked. So essentially, trying to support a small shop will eliminate any guarantees offered by the manufacturer. Understand, I realize a small shop has limitations and must do what’s best for their bottom line. However, it was never communicated to me “hey if I order this guitar for you, it’s unreturnable.” The thought never crossed my mind to ask, since the item I ordered was a stock offering from Fender, nothing special or custom about it. It’s extremely surprising that a Fender dealer is not able to provide the same customer satisfaction policies that are in place by Fender themselves. Most of the guitars hanging on the walls are mid-tier or entry level guitars, so if you want something better, and you want the peace of mind to return it if you’re not happy with it, then I suggest looking elsewhere. If you need a great setup on your guitar, ReMix can do it.
I would like everyone that may read this to know that this business has absolutely NO AFFILIATION with Lee Hight or the original Musicians Pro Shop in Springdale.
The fact that they are trying to use the name as their slogan is very disappointing to me & my family and misleading to potential customers.
Please quit trying to profit off of my dad’s legacy.
Edited to respond to your response:
First, the response you gave me here and the response you gave on Facebook present two different ideas: one playing dumb and one asking permission. That alone shows your dishonesty. At least be consistent.
Second, my uncle Larry did not own the Musicians Pro Shop. He’s an easy going guy but he cannot give any real permission to use a name of a business that he did not own. I do not blame him for this though.
Third, the fact that you are sticking to the legality argument just shows that you lack morals because we are well aware that what you are doing is not illegal. My family has been reached out to numerous times regarding your awning and billboard by people that are furious. I worked at a music store for 6 years in the area and met dozens and dozens of people who told me they knew my dad and shared great stories about him. Your narrative that “no one remembers the business 25 years later” is very rude and naive to say. I’d be willing to bet that no one will remember Remix music in 25 years.
Last, you could have used your response to apologize, show empathy and explain yourself in a much better way that I would’ve respected you for. Instead you chose to gaslight me and be defensive.
As a local business, you depend on your community to pay your bills. Angering your local community is the last thing you’d want to do. This is a bad look for you and it will come back to bite you at some point. Best of luck.
I will never deal with them again,
Horrible experience at this place, I was sold a Trumpet that was WAY over priced, When I went to go and try to receive a refund I was told I should of been charged a cleaning fee as well. The owner did not process my refund correctly and I was told go deal with it with my bank. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT A HEADACHE OR TO BE RIPPED OFF.
