If you live in Yorba Linda you owe it to yourself and all of Yorba Linda to go here and speak with Victor Delgado. The service and passion that Victor brings is amazing. I know you will probably go look at Guit@r Center but keep your $ in Yorba Linda.
My son was enrolled at the music lab for about 8 years working with the incredible Ray Delgado on drums. This place is like a second home that’s filled with people who love music and love to teach. Victor and Ray have been extremely supportive of my child’s music development and we owe them a great deal for the amount of love and attention they showed him every single lesson. When the School of Rock program was available, it helped my son really thrive with his playing, introducing him to new genres of music, developing stage presence, and how to play in a band. I really can’t recommend the Music Lab enough. If you are interested in lessons for your child or for yourself, check them out!
Great teachers for students of all ages and skill levels. I liked it so much when my son was a student that I returned to become a student myself.
I hoped this place would be a great experience for my 8-year old son, but his piano teacher decided reminding him to sit with his legs uncrossed and feet flat on the floor was more than she could handle after 4 lessons. She also complained that he spoke too loudly, but I never heard him speak any louder than other students.
When I called the owner to share that the instructor had told us the next lesson may be our last due to her complaints (legs, feet and volume), he stated the instructor told him that my son would not follow directions. Which is it, and why didn’t the owner take the time to question the instructor? I have not idea, but we were asked to end sessions.
I played flute through elementary and jr high. I then played xylophone in high school. I know what good music instructors bring out in children. For that reason, I would not recommend The Music Lab for children needing piano lessons. The instructor doesn’t want to be bothered to teach children all aspects of learning music, which includes posture.
