Very professional and helpful staff. Great selection of string instruments! They are prompt and attentive. The variety of the instruments is great and the service is just spectacular! I don’t think 5 stars do them justice
Terrific place, attentive, helpful staff, that makes you feel very welcome. I doubt I would have received the same one on one service at guitar center. Family owned for over 30 years. They also make beautiful instruments in the store. Love Morey’s music!!
It was one of the best music stores I visited. Had to go rent an instrument for my son’s band class. They had everything.
Looks like a lot of changes in the store. For Good.
Good supply ,needs more pop and jazz sheet music, not enough brass supplies
This place is a gem. I can never leave here without spending WAY too much money, whatever your music tastes, you will find it here. Get off of amazon and support your local record store!
I don’t know what to say about this place but it’s been one of the worst places I’ve ever been to and the prices are very high plus they treat you very rude
Not knowledgeable about guitars!! They use to be great.
I will never shop there again. This morning 12/26/18, I went to the store hoping to buy a new cello case. I entered the store and walked to the back of the store to look around. Not one worker even tried to assist me. After looking at the cello cases, I walked toward the front of the store to look at different violin/cello method books because I play and teach both instruments. During that time, a few customers walked in and the workers quickly greeted and assisted them. This is about the third time this has happened to me. I will never shop there or refer any of my students to shop there. I will just have to purchase their supplies elsewhere and have my students purchase the products from me. I will also go online and purchase my cello case elsewhere. That’s too bad because they really do ha e nice, quality products.
2. Guitar Center
Address: 11155 183rd St, Cerritos, CA 90703 , Aguanga , California , United States
I like this guitar center, a little further away from where I live, so I’ve only been here a few times. No complaints , pre covid19, I believe I went during sales events around holiday times so it was busy, but they were doing a good job at and the check out line kept moving . Good vibe.
Last time I was there I bought an amp that the closer guitar centers did not have, This visit was during covid19. I recommend that if you go to this one, give yourself some time, there will more then likely be a line, do not go an hour or half our before closing, there might be too many people in line. This is understandable since it’s in an outdoor mall setting, kind of like the one at orange , these WILL have people in line. It is completely understandable, they are understaffed and limit the amount of people that can enter. I already knew what I wanted, so I did not spend much time inside. They were great, and I’m happy with my purchase.
Note: if you do not live to far away, try the brea store, the area they are in is a quieter neighborhood . Everytime I have been there after covid19 there is no line. I did ask if they have had to limit people and make people wait in line, they said yes, a few times, but that has been rare. I would call before going to any guitar center and ask if there is a line , if you do not wish to wait just to get in.
Seemed pretty empty. Seems like manufacturing is down everywhere
No more deals…boo!
I like their prices, and the idea to LET EM’ PLAY,to check it out,ALOT of the Staff at most stores STILL play out live with bands and(or)work for other musicians,so these are the best people to have working there, and all types of guitarist or drummers or anything else for that matter are here!ALLbrands, makes, and even Vintage can found here!Check em’out!
Very poor customer service. Ended up buying my 1500 dollar piano in sweetwater. They have an unmatched attention to their clients.
I’ve been going here since I was 14 years old. I’m very sad to say that I no longer feel welcome here. My most recent visit an employee at the front desk was being very passive aggressive when it came to how long I was trying out a used orange amp I really want to buy. He asked me to stop playing for someone who was trying out an amp next to me. The guy acknowledged how rude he was being after the employee walked out of “the vault”. I didn’t mind to stop jamming, I just though it was very disrespectful as to the way he barged in and grunted at me. I don’t know very much about amps but instead of helping me the guy with the glasses always tells me to “turn down, so we can hear the phones”. This store used to be so much better years ago.
Poor customer service for one of the last standing good music stores besides Sam Ash. Never had a problem at the Torrance Guitar Center but when an associate in the Audio department seems inconvenienced by your presence, it’s time to leave. We asked to purchase the FL studio producer edition pack and my brother being thorough was asking questions about the product . The associate told my brother that once he makes up his mind to let him know as he proceeded to leave my brother to tend to another customer. So, I guess Amazon will be the way to purchase from now on.
3. Bellflower Music Center
Address: 17125 Bellflower Blvd, Bellflower, CA 90706 , Aguanga , California , United States
Hard workers great people and you can get mostly anything in there any instrument and they will fix your instruments too
They fix instruments and they have Drum lessons. Don’t know much about this place but the times I’ve gone it’s been good. They fix my daughters violin from time to time and give you advice on how to keep your instrument in good condition.
I visited on 8-31-2022 this corner shop has a ton of instruments new and used some might even be antiques! So cool! Staff was nice and helpful as well!
Quick service, one day turn around!!
THIS PLACE IS WRONG I DROVE OVER 50 MILES TO PURCHASE A LESLIE SPEAKER FROM THEM,BUT THEY HAD IT PUT UP SOMEWHERE IN THEIR CLASS ROOM, WHERE YOU CAN’T GET TO IT! THEN THEY SAID THAT THE LESLIE I WANTED TO BUY, COMES WITH A HAMMOND ORGAN BUT THEIR ADVERTISING ON THEIR WEBSITE DIDN’T SAY THAT!!! I’M SO HURT WITH THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT I’LL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!!!
They are nice until there is something wrong .
My situation is even too long to write I’m very disappointed with their lack of customer service after being a customer for 1 1/2 years.
They said I needed a piston replaced after their rude service we decided to take our business else where. The other music store said the instrument was dirty and cleaned the oil and told us the piston was not even damaged as Bellflower said.BEWARE NORTHPARK ACADEMY OF THE ARTS ..PARENTS GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
We have always found the staff friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend Bellflower Music.
4. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 14200 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683 , Aguanga , California , United States
Got a great deal on a Les Paul at Sam’s. Friendly helpful staff. Will be back for my next GAS fix
Expensive, but they always have cables in a pinch
I was in a hurry, needed a powered speaker on short notice. They were helpful, quick and got the same price I saw online. Very happy
On the one hand Sam Ash is comparable to Guitar Center as chain stores go; inside the store I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. I grew up in Hollywood, with hole-in-the-wall music stores (including the original Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd).
The staff is helpful, but mostly they leave you alone to look around and see what grabs you. I was at home reaching for my favorite player when I realized there wasn’t a single friggen guitar pick in the house! I was so bent on playing that I bolted out the door (my wife said “wait for me!” She loves music stores) and headed for the nearest music store.
Looking around the store on arrival I saw all the usual instruments… then something just grabbed me. The first thing I noticed beyond its apparent beauty was an action so precise I couldn’t help but play it. Hardly any time had passed, and I was hopelessly hooked.
It was on sale for around half price (such a deal!), and brand new. I hadn’t bought a guitar since 1975. Halfway home I realized I hadn’t even plugged it in at the store. But that didn’t matter. I plugged it into my Deluxe Reverb the moment I got home, and it sounded every bit of how I expected, how I’d wanted. It’s silky smooth action almost plays itself. Maybe I’ll buy another ax one day (in another forty-five years).
Very knowledgeable staff. I would give 5 starts but the cleaner I put on the counter he forgot to ring up. Dawned on me after I got to the car. Had to walk my ass back in. No big deal though. Sam Ash has always been a good music store for me.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A NEW KICK DRUM PEDAL AT SAM ASH AND AM VERY HAPPY. THE TAMA SINGLE SPEEDCOBRA IS FAST STRONG N COMFORTABLE. THE PRICE WAS MORE THAN I WANTED TO SPEND SINCE NO REAL GIGS IN SEVEN MONTHS. THE SALES GUY JONATHAN HAGGERTY WAS SUPER HELPFUL AND GREATLY PATIENT SINCE WE SPENT TIME TRYING DIFFERENT PEDALS N PRICE OPTIONS. I AM HAPPY N GRATEFUL I WENT TO SAM ASH HB . ALLEN ADAMS
Es un buen lugar para encontrar cualquier instrumento musical
It’s a great big beautiful store. Great layout. But as a newcomer to wanting to record my own voice work; I was overwhelmed. I asked where certain items were and a sales rep helped me locate them and told me what the best selling mic stand was, without asking what I was trying to do or what my needs might be. I asked about other items and he did the same thing. I’ve sold things in the past and I know how to steer customers but you can’t do that successfully if you have not qualified them i.e. determined what needs they are trying to satisfy. Say hello, take a second to introduce yourself, then focus on the client, make them as least think you care if they get what they want. It’s simple stuff. They’ve got the stock but it wouldn’t surprise me if it didn’t move as well as they would like.
The Guitar repair is a rip-off. I had my jack replaced which was supposed to be $10 but it cost $26. The part is only $6. The guy who worked there should be fired. Don’t go to this place.
5. Perfect Guitar & Amp Repair – Serving Los Angeles
Address: 7033 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier, CA 90602 , Aguanga , California , United States
As other people have said Raul is attentive and you can tell he really cares about his profession. I brought a 67 tiesco guitar with bowing in the neck and he and his team managed to make this guitar playable and sound great. Definitely would recommend this shop to anybody looking for a repair as it provides an honest and great service.
Great job in a timely manner. Will be back for future repairs.
Took my all tube Marshall DSL40C amp in a few weeks ago. It just wasn’t sounding right and I really didn’t know what was up with it. Raul was able to take it apart, trace down the problem, check and cleaned all connections and had it back to me in a matter of a few days. The Marshall sounds Monster!! Defiantly my go-to guy from here on out!
Great service and very fast. My expectations where exceeded. My guitar had nicked frets and a broken piece. He fixed my nicked frets and replaced the piece free. Kf charge. I been so used to my guitar looking raggedy and retired and not it looks clean and new.
They wanted money up front and don’t take credit cards or checks. Cash only. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Don’t bother.
I just had the worst experience with them recently. I took my guitar to get the neck set-up a few weeks ago, when his shop was offering $60 set-up’s, and after three weeks I was finally given my guitar back. However, Raul was no longer offering the receipt he gave me, and he was charging me double for his work. His reasoning was that he did other things for my guitar, such as including a wiring set-up that I specifically said not to do. His wiring set-up was pointless because my guitar no longer makes sound; So I was charged double for a job I told him not to do because he was going to charge me an extra $100 for (Suspicious much?).
I’m genuinely shocked by Raul’s shady business practices, especially since he was very adamant on wanting to meet him at his house rather than at his shop to have deals for my guitar. This isn’t some back alley drug deal I’m trying to pursue, I just want a guitar that works, and he ultimately ripped me off instead. I’m considering pursuing legal action over this. I know I’m in the minority with my review, because Raul’s likes to take pride about how he has five star reviews on Yelp and on Google, but from my experience, he’s not efficient with his work, and not at all professional. There are better Guitar repairmen across Los Angeles and Long Beach, Raul works more like a incompetent used car salesman. Buyer beware.
6. Forte Strings Violin Shop
Address: 701 N Harbor Blvd, Fullerton, CA 92832 , Aguanga , California , United States
Very nice people, price conscientious, they let me try as many violins until I found the right one. Thank you Forte Strings violin Shop
Great costumer service!
I have practiced Violin/Viola for several years; I needed another violin, so I decided to pay this shop a visit in December. Extremely friendly and considerate, and their shop is wonderful. The owners are very knowledgeable and accommodating about all my questions and needs, and I was able to try different violins to gauge their tone and feel. The violin set (instrument+bow+case) I purchased was entry-price (<$500), yet I could not be happier about the outstanding quality despite its price point.
The violin is beautifully varnished, and its tone is rich. The sound resonates throughout its entire range while remaining crisp at very high notes.
The carbon-fiber bow I selected with the set is remarkably light and well-balanced; I was genuinely surprised at its excellent handling.
If you are looking to buy an instrument, I highly encourage you to visit this local store instead of shopping online. You have the benefit of seeing and trying for yourself the products, gauging what you like and feels right with the assistance of these wonderful and knowledgeable owners — you will learn much more this way.
If you shop online for an instrument, you lose out on those things, and the harsh conditions experienced during shipping can be unhealthy for delicate instruments — plus, it’s a hassle if you find out it’s not what you preferred after the fact.
Plus, you can support your local business!
