Very helpful in helping me get a turquoise bike and the awesome help getting it in my small car after I bought the bike
Lots of people and not much on the shelves but everyone is super friendly and welcoming so I cant complain.
Great customer service
Mask required
Slow service
Average walmart. Orderly and clean. Restroom was fairly clean aswell. I didn’t have any problems shopping.
This is a compliant on Walmart in general. Ordered my kids Christmas at the beginning of December and then they send me an email on the 21st saying they can’t fulfill my order. HORRIBLE
I hate every walmart. The self checkout thing is stupid. I should get a discount if I’m gonna have to work there.
Rodger kicked my kids out and cussed at them in the store for asking where the sports balls were. This is NOT ok. Will be reporting to police office.
3. Books-A-Million
Address: 300 Colonial Promenade Pkwy #2200, Alabaster, AL 35007 , Alabaster , Alabama , United States
Anything and everything you could ever want in a book store.
Awesome staff.
great study spot
Nice and clean. There is a Yogert Mountain inside as well.
Friendly staff
where to find a specific magazine that their website actually said sold at this particular store the first person didn’t even want to bother helping me look cut me off before I could even finish asking her for the magazine and said we don’t carry it and recommended I go to a different Books-A-Million on the other side of town to look for it kind of pisses me off I know it’s after Christmas but come on why would I go across town if these people wouldn’t even and help me out likely will never go to a Books-A-Million again
Just go to Barnes and noble. The cashier’s here are lazy and have no respect for the stuff you’re buying. I’ve had one lay the books I was buying in a puddle of water on the counter once and then another time the dude just starts opening my manga bending the hell out of the spin. I bought it and then went to the back and swapped it out because I’m very particular about my books/manga and want the damage to the spin at a minimum.
I’m pretty sure they had less than a million books there. A woman was rude to us too.
They are great they do the best prices and have the best customer service anywhere and everyone in there is nice and helpful you can’t beat their prices and customer service I’ve actually started dealing w only them and have a great experience every time I go
Definitely go see Mike
This the best shop I’ve ever been to. check these guys out first
I wouldn’t try and sell anything here. when I needed gas money for work I took an orbital drill over to pawn it. they wouldn’t even give me $50 for it. it was a $1000 drill that had no issues.
It’s just not the same as it was when it was Scott’s
These people are liars. I had a gun in pawn there and they told me they would call me if it went past the maturity date. Not only did they not call me, but they sold the gun 1 day after the maturity date.
7. Press Start Video Games
Address: 102 1st St N, Alabaster, AL 35007 , Alabaster , Alabama , United States
I just want to say wow! You guys are awesome. me and my wife come here on a regular and bring are friends along as well as my nephew. all I can say is keep up the amazing work
Never heard of the place until today. I went in and talked to an associate about what they do there. Wish I could remember her name. She was very helpful and gave me and the wife a tour of the business and gave us some great info. $10 access fee will give you an all day pass to play video games and hangout. They also sell snacks and sodas to their patron at a pretty reasonable price. Will definitely visit again.
My brother took me here one time to play the Nintendo 64, we brought our own games Turok Rage wars and Pokemon stadium and played for about 3 or 4 hours. The atmosphere in here is nice and people are friendly or keep to themselves as most gamers do. Staff is cool, and they provide drinks and snacks and even extra controllers. It was a great time and I would come here again. Recommend.
It’s 10$ to get in and play but that’s nothing when you can play from 10 am to 2 am on Saturday. Sure it only has 1 bathroom but there is never a line. It has games from NES to the newest PS4 games. It’s a fun place and I would recommend it to everyone that likes gaming.
P.s don’t play fortnite there everyone will hate you.
The internet was bad and the controllers were not really functional
Good luck trying to buy a game here. The guy the works here is rude. They need at least two employees on Saturday. All I wanted was to buy a game and I can’t because the front counter guy is busy all the time with people playing the games. How about people who want to buy the games?? I hate this store.
Came to have a game night with my son last night and at first the place was awesome. After that was quite frustrating. We finally got my son on the game he wanted to play after we had to wait for it to update but I wasn’t able to play with him because the only other console that had the same game installed needed a much larger update. We were there for 2 and a half hours and I was able to play all of maybe 20 minutes because every game I tried to play either needed to be updated or the account that was logged into the systems didn’t support multi-player. My son had a great time and that’s what I really came for but I feel like I paid for myself and rented a headset for myself for no reason at all.
8. Target
Address: 250 S Colonial Dr, Alabaster, AL 35007 , Alabaster , Alabama , United States
knowledgeable employees make for a super quick and easy order pick up! 5 stars
Very nice people, excellent service.
Everything is always very clean. Starbucks inside is nice too.
It’s a small Target. Definitely not as diverse as Hoover or 280, but okay.
It has a Starbucks (that the other Starbucks stores make fun of lol).
A small grocery area.
Clothing selection is okay.
My wife says it has a good selection of bras.
This store is always clean, including the fitting rooms. They try to keep this store well-stocked and if I’ve ever not been able to find something there, staff has offered to order it and have it sent to me or the store, at no extra charge.
SO, WHY 4-STARS INSTEAD OF 5?
One evening, a week ago, I ordered an available pick-up item, online that I was needing for a wedding (black dress “A New Day”) and the next morning, I unfortunately received an emailed that the item was no longer in stock (which was fine; that happens).
However, that day, I went to the store to pick up my other items from the order and decided to look for the black dress myself (the app indicated there was still one left in the store).
With very little effort, in the “A New Day” section, I found the dress I had wanted to order (along with 5 other available sizes of that exact dress), so I notified the pick-up desk. It left me feeling that whomever was responsible for finding it, didn’t even try.
That’s the only time I’ve been disappointed in Target’s staff.
The upside to ordering this way is that my card is never charged until the items are picked up, so no real hassle. (I’m glad I was already going to be at that location because otherwise, I’d never known the dress I wanted was in stock after all.) Not ideal and made the staff look bad, though.
No stars. Not a single cashier open. I will spend more at target for the customer service but no more
Just was watched like hawk by a white male that assumed I was trying to steal.
This is my favorite store. But, since Corona, Tues and Wed mornings are for elderly or VULNERABLE people. The guy out front sees that I’m younger. I may not look it. But, I’m 45 years old with high blood pressure and severe anxiety. I go at opening to avoid people. To get what I need in peace. Which gives me peace. Some vulnerability isn’t visible! I stopped using the pharmacy also. It’s literally never open. Not for me. I know there are other days. I don’t always have money or need something those days. But, ok..

The gentlemen that runs the store is always so helpful.
ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE!!!
Good selections of Christian entertainment and some small decoration items.
Friendly people
Family owned Christian book store. Friendly and affordable.
It has a peaceful atmosphere, but there isn’t much in the way of catholic products. I’ve bought here a few times and always leave with a smile on my face from just being in there. It’s a great Christian store if you’re looking for generic and nondenominational books and decorations.
My family and myself walked into the bookstore and made some purchases getting ready for the Passover celebration.
Prices expensive, sales rarely.
Very rude man. Walked in to ask a question. Got about 4 words out and he rudely said that you have to have a mask on to be in the store. I had to ask him to repeat himself because I was in shock that he’s raised his voice and interrupted me. We go out and get one then notice there’s a lady in there without one on. He shouldn’t have raised his voice and demanded a mask if everyone is not wearing one. If he would have listened to my question I wouldn’t have stayed because they didn’t have it anyway. Will NEVER return to this store and will recommend against it when asked.
11. Foundry Thrift Store – Pelham/Alabaster
Address: 3592 Pelham Pkwy, Pelham, AL 35124 , Alabaster , Alabama , United States
Clean and organized. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed shopping here.
Awesome deals And amazing staff. So nice!!
Nice and clean…very affordable prices and a lot to choose from. Furniture is also cheap as well
Large store, average selection.
Very nice…
Great prices and selection.
I shop at this store quite regularly and I always have pleasant shopping experiences, until today. I had time to kill while I was waiting on a pizza I had ordered from down the street and decided to run in The Foundry Thrift Store really quick and see what’s new as it had been a few weeks since my last visit. I browsed through the store in a few minutes time and ended up finding 5 items to purchase. There were no lines at the registers and the only cashier standing there was this older woman so I proceeded to walk up to her register in hopes of peacefully checking out. I specifically remember this woman from previous shopping trips because every time I am cashed out by her she does not greet me nor barely speaks a word to me. She always has a very off-putting and borderline rude demeanor. I had just assumed she doesn’t like my face or perhaps has some personal issues going on. Whatever the case may be I never took it personally or paid it too much mind as I tend to just brush things such as rudeness and unfriendliness off. Although I will admit that when I am standing in line I hope to myself that another cashier will be able to take me just because I enjoy friendly conversation and with her it’s always uncomfortable and awkward. Today was a little different though. I began to place my items on the counter and she proceeded to scan the first item (a pair of shoes). After she scanned that first item she without warning began to walk away to go speak with another cashier. She came back after a couple of minutes and continued scanning the rest of my items. She told me my total which came out to be approximately $25. I always look at the price of my items before I decide to buy them and that total was WAY off what I had calculated in my head. I asked her, why does it costs so much? She told me a pair of men’s jeans and a little girls shirt had the wrong tags on them. Okay?? So I asked her “well how much are they?” She stated that the men’s jeans were $10 (tag marked as $6) and the little girls shirt was $5 (marked as $3) I said I did not want the men’s pants but I did want the little girls shirt. My total then came out to be $22 I tried to look at what was ringing up so high because none of this was adding up correctly. I then said “what is making the price this high now?” She simply told me “the heels” (both the pair of shoes were heels) I then asked what the price of them were and she rolled her eyes and pulled one pair out of the bag and showed them to me. They had a completely different sticker on them that was marked $9.99! I know they usually put the sticker with the price as well as write the price of the shoes on the bottom which these had BOTH at $4.99. By this time I was starting to run really late so I told her that I didn’t want them and I ended up paying $11 for my remaining 3 items. If I did not have somewhere I had to be I would have been more confrontational and possibly spoke with one of her superiors. This whole situation was uncomfortable and downright bizzare. I have absolutely no clue why this woman decided to pick on me but I have no problem paying for the items I choose to purchase and as a recovered addict I fully support the mission of The Foundry Ministries. With that being said, I will not be taken advantage of or allow myself to be bullied. Hopefully this issue will be addressed because this is a very poor reflection on The Foundry Ministries.
Kinda junky in my opinion
When checking online your site shows open until 9 pm and I also called your phone message says you are open until 9 pm as well. Upon driving all the way across town and arriving at around 6 30 pm I find your store already closed. How hard is it to show correct hours and also have correct hours on your phone. I find that very unprofessional and NOT good business practices.
12. SkyRocket Studios
Address: 224 1st St S suite 100, Alabaster, AL 35007 , Alabaster , Alabama , United States
The White Chocolate Latte was a joy to consume as is always the other Menu items in the thoughtful and ingenious repertoire of Starbucks, an American joy to behold since 1971! Service as always straight up superlative!
Me encantan sus bebidas pero aveces en servicio es muy lento pero me agrada ir se que a veces tienen personas nuevas trabajando y que tenemos que tener paciencia
local spot–small and often busy, but drive through is an option
Fast and friendly service! This location seems to be closed randomly so that’s my only complaint.
Over priced and not much changes on the menu.
Seriously takes 30 min to get a cup of coffee. You get stuck in the drive thru and can’t leave. You have to wait. Always backed up and slow.
I dont like Starbucks. They suck. And I dislike them.
They re-made my drink twice and I still left with the wrong drink… I guess I’m on my way to the other alabaster store (which is way out of my way) because they know my order better..
14. Bill’s Custom Framing
Address: 110 1st St S, Alabaster, AL 35007 , Alabaster , Alabama , United States
Bills framing is amazing! I hate it took me this long to write a review because they went above and beyond to created two astonishing shadow boxes for a battle buddy, friend and love one we lost.
Without this lovely family the Final roll call ceremony wouldn’t have gone as planned. They made our unit happy as well his two beautiful daughters.
Please use them for all your framing, you will not be disappointed. I would give 10 stars if I could. I will definitely use them for my personal framing and our unit framing again in the future.
It was NOICE

Very helpful and knowledgeable! Beats going to that over price box store Guitar Center!!
Great help this morning. Helped me find a great instrument for my daughter.
Great people, great gear, great service.
Lots of great records for sale!
Went in to browse the selection of records. Good selection to pick thru. Staff was very friendly, atmosphere is excellent. Enjoyable experience.
Good
These people are not honest and they will rip you off !
Sadly, it appears that GG is moving away from guitars — their bread and butter. This is no longer the place where I bought a Taylor 614ce and a Rickenbacker 381. Nowadays there’s not much of a selection, and the actual Fenders, etc., have been replaced by the cheaper, Asian-made cousins from Squier and the like. Too bad; I know times are tough, but it seems that GG is running up the white flag and surrendering.

Great convenient location and can be easily seen from the main highway. The store is so clean and nice. The employees are super friendly and helpful. The smoothies are awesome I highly recommend eating here
Always a great experience, staff is on top of covid prevention and still quick to complete orders.
Yum! Delicious smoothies, friendly staff.
They just say hey whats your order and bye. No we got this program if people not on program
Came in and the girl didn’t say a word to us. She had head phones in her ears but she clearly saw us considering we were the only ones in the store. I figured she was finishing something so I waited. A guy walked in and she immediately addressed and greeted him and started working on his smoothie. She then went and got someone else to come out and another man had walked in at that point and she went to help him first as well! I politely spoke up and mentioned we hadn’t placed our order yet. So she took it and looked completely annoyed about it. The whole experience was unpleasant. I’ve never had a bad experience here before today.
Expensive, The smoothies has a really good taste.
Planet smoothie was very disappointing it taste like something I could buy out of walmart. Also, the employees weren’t wearing their mask properly and didn’t seem to enjoy what they were doing.
I made a order online. I had someone simply pick it up for me. We literally live 10 mins away. There is no way that smoothie would melt that fast. As soon as I call to complain about the order. She said she will correct it. Problem solve right? Wrong, she was rude when she came to the car. She said “next time when you order”. Before she finish, I went off on her and said it’s not my fault. That the order was wrong and wasn’t made right. She need to correct her attitude before she address me what I did. TRUST ME, if I knew it was wrong. I would had correct it then and there. Hell, I even brought the smoothie with me as proof. Then she’s over her checking her time on her watch like she’s late for a appointment. HOW ABOUT YOU CHECK YOUR ATTITUDE AND NOT YOUR TIME ON YOUR WATCH.
Worst experience.
20. McDonald’s
Address: 1493 1st St N, Alabaster, AL 35007 , Alabaster , Alabama , United States
This location is always fast, courteous, and accurate. Many, many other locations are not this way and I will pass them just to go to this location.
With all the power outages, this place was BUSY, to say the least. I waited 30 minutes for my food.. They handled it the best they could. However, they messed up nearly every order, which caused wait times to be even longer. My only suggestion would be, slower is faster. Take your time, get orders right and you’ll be fine. Again, they handled it well, just a small suggestion.
***Service was better but McDonald’s has changed their nuggets and they are not good. Not to be reflected specifically on this location as negative. We had a better experience this time. Order was right. Drinks were better. The nuggets are terrible again though. Both the nuggets I bit into had hard gristle/fat. Order a burger, you’ll have a better experience.
***NEW UPDATE 2 months later…
This place has gone downhill
We used to go at least twice a month and the past three times we’ve gone the service has been absolutely terrible and our drinks have been down right gross.
The first time our drinks were so bad we stopped at a gas station to get bottled sodas.
The second time nobody ever came to the speaker and car after car was just driving off so we did too.
We decided to give them another try and it was worse this time…
The guy on the speaker was rude “is that it?!” “Is that it?” Our order wasn’t even done right and the drinks were wrong and mostly soda water. Sad to see this place decline so terribly after being one of our favorite fast food places to go.
This is the best McDonald’s in town. The service is good, the employees are super friendly and the food is always right!
**Still the best McDonald’s in town. Breakfast or dinner doesn’t matter.
McDonald’s was good
Bathrooms were unacceptable
It was awful, the FF weren’t fresh and not even warm. Horrible service
My fiance and I went through the McDonald’s Alabaster (by the promenade) drive through on the way to my grandmothers funeral. They messed up both orders, charged us wrong which was to our favor, but nonetheless.. then the manager got an attitude and said we didn’t order what we said we did. The rudeness displayed by this grown man to a complete stranger because he was wrong is completely unacceptable, and on top of that he was yelling at us as we drove off. You never know the battles over people are going through and I really don’t appreciate how I was treated. I will not be coming back to this location and it really bothers me to know not only do they hire people like this but they give them management positions as well.
