I when to Schmidt’s music to put in a set of engraved pegs. It was the fastest service, very courteous and best price we could find. Once I got my violin back, I had trouble moving the peg and they immediatlwy fixed the issue free of charge. Wonderful place, very knowledgeable!
The lady that helped us and was very knowledgeable!! Excellent service!!
Zach was so patient, kind and professional. He made this experience for my daughter, choosing her first instrument a wonderful one. Thank you!
Excellent repair department.
Great
I guess this is a good music store, it has been there forever, lol. We went there to buy an instrument and they had nothing in our price range available ( which wasn’t low I might add :/) (said they would have to order) …I like how they will let you try a few out, they will give you a room away from everyone. They also do instrument repair. The girl that helped us was amazing, helpul and friendly. We’ll go back!
I came to the store looking for some help on purchasing my first violin, I ended up getting snubbed. I was trying to get some general information on purchasing and what I needed, instead I was told at least 3 times how expensive they were. I was deffinetly judged upon walking in the door, as it was I had just returned from a trip and did not feel I needed to dress up to go into a music store. In the end I am glad I had this experience because it allowed me the opportunity to find another business that was actually customer service oriented, and was not judgmental. I am now on my second violin and enjoying every minute of it, no thanks to this store.
Too expensive
Bought a clarinet from them for 1,111.94 was on sale originally 1900. A year later tried to trade it in. They offered 75$. They services this clarinet as well. Upgraded mouth piece. Long story short bad customer service owner wouldn’t even talk to us. Said he had lots of inventory but we saw none in store. Went to Schmitds and they offered a fair price for this and gained a customer. They were extremely nice. He said he gets a customer a week come in mad at these guys. 75$ smh.

Amazing customer experience and they really blew it out the water with hospitality
I’ve lived in Pensacola for years and never ventured into this store. They have a very knowledgeable staff! I wish more places has this level of customer service. Jakob was great to work with! Check these guys out if you haven’t! Don’t live under a rock like me.
Thanks so much for guitar repair service job you did on my Washburn fretless bass guitar, Blues Angel Music! My guitar was set up wonderfully and plays beautifully. Everyone who tended to my needs did a fantastic job. In addition, Mr. Jim sold my mom a great little Taylor acoustic guitar. Currently, I am teaching her some basic chords so she can play her favorite songs. Thanks again, BAM, for your quality work and prompt, excellent service. You guys are, by far, STILL the best music store on the Gulf Coast!
Jacob was knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. Very nice music store and reasonable prices. Very well stocked for 2022.
started taking piano last week with Nan…. She is such a sweet lady and very patient with this older girl… =)
This is a great little music shop it has a large selection of instruments and Instrument accessories also the employees were very helpful they helped me find the proper fitting case for my new instrument highly recommend this place for those music lovers looking for anything they need
The folks who work on the sales side of BAM are great, but the repair shop has continually failed to deliver service for my bass amplifiers. I have two Ampeg combos that have needed work over the last couple of years. Most recently, one would not power up, so I dropped it off on 2/3/20 for repair. The staff member at the counter said it may be a could of weeks, as they were backed up. I said that was fine. When I checked on it two weeks later, the amp was still sitting in the same place I left it. Apparently, BAM sublets their amplifier work to another shop, which the staff member did not mention when I dropped it off. So I waited longer to no avail. When I went to pick it up to get the work done elsewhere (on 3/18/20) I was treated rudely and given no apology for the lack of service, only the comment, “Yeah they’re pretty slow.” My prior experience with a different Ampeg amplifier was at least sufficient (they fixed it), but they broke off a knob while it was in the shop and would not reorder a replacement. In both of these experiences I gave BAM ample time and patience to resolve the issues, but they were either not able or willing to do so. We don’t have a lot of choices in P’cola for repair shops, but BAM is not the place to go.
Called about an item that we needed in an urgent situation while traveling and was told it was in stock. Called back to see if I could pay over the phone because I wasn’t sure I could get there before close and was told no, but salesperson said they would put it behind the counter. Called back after driving wide open for over 3 hours to tell them I’d be 6 minutes late and was told they didn’t have the item. No one ever tried to be helpful. I’ve been in sales for over 20 years and this is not how you earn any customers business.
My husband recently bought a guitar and rented music equipment for our wedding reception spending well over 500$. So earlier this week we went into the store to buy a drum set to support local business, but we wanted to try out the set before we bought it. when you walk into the store you can clearly see rooms set up for lessons and to try out music equipment before you buy it which we have done in the past.
We talked to a salesman who is bald with a beard who works in the rental section who was incredibly rude. When my husband asked if we could go into the drum room and test the drum kit before we buy one, he rudely informed my husband that we could try the drum set for kids in the corner. My husband asked the sales associate if we could check out the kit in the room with the drums and this time he walked us over to the room showed us the set and said these are not for anyone to play on and we could not try them out. Why are they in your lesson/ practice room if nobody plays them?
Dealing with this rude gentleman was very unfortunate because we give blue angel a lot of business. We have shopped at Blue Angel Music for a couple of years and buy music equipment from them on a regular basis. Now because of this rude sales associate and the way we were treated we will take our business to GUITAR CENTER in Pensacola

Great selection. Wide variety of inventory & very nice instruments.
Visited here to purchase a few items my son needed for middle school band. They have a large selection of musical products, pleasing atmosphere and the staff was kind and helpful. I’ll come here for all my musical needs.
Too focused on school bands
Prices are a little high on most things but their service is awesome and they offer music lessons as well
The Leonard’s are good, local guys who are very knowledgeable and experienced in all types of instruments. They also have a very large team of instructors that cover a wide variety of instruments from winds and brass to guitars to piano.
The only game in town for band kids and their families, and the company acts accordingly. We’re all used to them being pricey and low on customer service, but the final straw for me this year is them auto-drawing my kid’s monthly rental fee two weeks before the day they were supposed to – on a Friday night. Par for the course. If you can avoid these guys, do.
I haven’t been to the store but I’ve had this business shoved down my throat by the Avalon Middle School Band. They mailed out a letter that stated I needed to be present at a very important meeting for my incoming student. It was addressed from the school. I had to take time off work to attend. When I arrived I was greeted by these folks trying to rent me my child’s instrument (I already had purchased) this is not the only time they were present at my child’s functions. I don’t think that they should be soliciting their business at school.
I took my saxophone in today as it has a slightly bent bell and is missing the key guard on the side of the bell. I was not concerned about the key guard, I only wanted the bell straightened. THEY REFUSED TO DO THE REPAIR. They said they would not straighten the bell unless I paid for the replacement key guard at 150 dollars plus the cost for straightening the bell! I only needed the bell straightened but they refused a paying customer. Will never go back and I recommend others don’t go there either. Their excuse? She said she couldn’t let my own instrument leave without being fully repaired so if I did not want the key gaurd, I was not allowed to get the bell straightened and pay for it there either. What a horrible way to run a business. I own my instrument, it is a sterling silver saxophone so I did not want their inferior keyguard.
5. Guitar Center
Address: 6927 N 9th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32504 , Midway , Florida , United States
Great place real freindly can try out anything you want real nice atmosphere. …
Best Guitar Center experience I’ve ever had. Had about 3 different employees ask me if i was finding everything I needed. And had a guy clean and tune bass for me before I played it. They had a mask for me to wear which is nice that GC cares about their customers. And I ended up walking out with a Beautiful new bass guitar and spent nearly $1,000 total. Excellent customer service with very nice and professional employees. Will be back! Thanks !!
Good customer service
I’m Always Disappointed to See Only Mid-Level to Low End Guitars In These Stores. They Never Carry The High End Guitars…
Hard to get waited on…..limited inventory on hand.
Edit: tried a second time and service was better. Ended up buying a classical guitar on impulse with an acoustic 40w amp. It was close to closing timeso I didn’t camp out and try the Taylor’s. Adding one star back. Selection is still limited and mostly entry level.
Spent over 20 minutes in the store. Wanted to get a mid level acoustic for my daughter and another Taylor for myself. Not one hello, nod of the head or even eye contact from employees. Hard to believe they are on commission, not very hungry for a sale. Store is very clean, though much smaller than typical GCs. Selection was all entry level for the most part. I’m interested in an 814CE. I have had a 614CE for years but wanted something more traditional sounding than the maple of the 614. Lots of empty guitars hooks, either replenishment is lacking, or lots of guitars are in the back room. Had someone said hello, I would have gladly ordered the Taylor, and brought my daughter back to play the Luna, then order the nicer Moon Flower version. Off to check another local shop before I’m forced to go online. Prefer to keep my money local as possible.
Rude and lacking general business knowledge. I don’t know how Kenny is still employed at this location. Avoid like the plague.
Horrible expercience , first off ive been going there every single day playing a mandolin thr mandolin strings are junk over wrapped on pegs. I asked 5 days straight id they would change strings for me so i can hear it. It was excuse after excuse.
Theres a long haired kid in there couldnt be more of wanna be , guitar douche to the max!!!!!
This place is for monkey go support real music stores. People here dont get paid enough to care apparently.
Negative 5 starts!
I went there because their website said they had several brands onhand which their competitor did not. Their selection was terrible, and I had trouble holding the attention of a salesperson. When finally I did pin one down, it took over a half hour to get them to order an instrument off their own online site. The salesman said to expect a week for delivery. I asked that it be delivered to the store, so they could check it for defects and set it up. The receipt said to expect 7-10 days. It’s been 10 days, and it’s still not at the store. I expect another day after it finally arrives, for set up; but wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a week. Avoid them, ever after.

Place was a mess inside and out just trashed starting to look like a Louisiana truck stop it’s a shame. Makes you wonder if people in the state have any pride in the work they do.
Great RV access
It was a typical pilot truck stop until you went to check out then there where 4 people standing in line waiting to pay for our stuff and we were standing there for awhile. Finally thank God the guy at the front of the line finally knocked on the counter and woke the cashier up who actually had her head down on the counter sleeping.
Dirty restrooms
About the dirtiest bathrooms I’ve seen as a truck driver. When I told them about no soap or dirt or no paper towels all I’ve heard are excuses. Staff doesn’t have the patience to even listen to what is bad. Disgusting. I’ll be avoiding this place as much as I can.
9. MusicMasters

My favorite local music store. Staff knows instrument needs for all levels of skill, preference, and affordability. .
Excellent customer service! They don’t try to sell you things you don’t need and were very patient while I made my selections.
Walked in here looking to rent or buy an instrument for our son, who just joined band. The employees were knowledgeable, friendly, and I feel like they really wanted to help and not overcharge us, as newbies. I was very impressed!
They normally have what I need for my kids musical requirements.
Local shop with smallish guitar and amp selection. I think their main business is school band type stuff. Nice people working there.
I haven’t touched a guitar in probably a decade and wasn’t even that good when I played back in the day. Looking to pick up a new hobby or two and decided properly learning the guitar might be fun again. Did not want to go to a music store and deal with uppity, know it all musicians and was going to just order new strings and some small stuff online. Ended up changing my mind and popping into MM. Chatted it up with “Cam” and I believe “Joel” and had a great experience. I left the store feeling more excited and encouraged to pick up the guitar than when I went in. Now let’s see if I can just stick with it. If I do, I know where I’ll be going for future purchases. Thanks Cam, Joel, and James for making me feel comfortable and valued as a customer even though I did not spend a lot of $$. Local > Big box retailers.
2nd visit wasn’t as good. Cam was still pleasant. I tried to trade in a piece of equipment I wasn’t using so I waited 30 minutes for the manager. After I got his time he simply said something to the effect of, we don’t really mess with those type of devices so we can’t do anything. I asked what he suggested and he said pawn shop. Not going to take an expensive a$$ midi keyboard to get $50 at a pawn shop. I wasn’t selling it for crack, I was trading to get something more expensive. Just give me the time of day is all I ask.
Didn’t have what I wanted.
Absolutely incompetent personnel. A few weeks ago I visited MusicMasters to look for some digital pianos with good actions, but since they didn’t have any higher-tier models, I got a business card from one of the salesmen and went home.
After a few days I sent him an email asking about particular models and he said he’d ask manufacturer about the possibilities of bringing them for demo and get back to me. After he had not responded for 2 weeks I followed up, but my emails went ignored. I called to the shop to see what is going on and every time I got the same answer: tell us your name and email address and we will get back to you. Except they didn’t. I would be ok with them saying “sorry, we can’t bring in the model you wanted”, instead of being ignored like that.
Congratulations, MusicMasters. Finally, after weeks of waiting I’m buying from a different retailer. Is this how you do business? I would certainly not recommend this shop to anyone.
Left my trumpet with them for a basic cleaning. Waited over 3 weeks to get a call back on the status of the service only to find out that they’d done nothing with my horn yet. Another 3 weeks pass, a second phone call; still no progress. The week before the end of the semester and juries, I get a call that it’s done. Mind you, I had called at least twice a week every week from the time I dropped off my horn until then to see if it was done yet, and they only called me twice.
If there were literally any other place in town to do repairs, I’d recommend going there over Music Masters

Estación de servicio para autos y camiones, cuenta con servicios de lavado de ropa, duchas y baños. Encontrarás un market muy surtido y también opciones de comida. Muy recomendado. El servicio y atención en las cajas fue estupenda .
Thanks for being available to RVers!
One of the best chantel and stacy awesome
Pretty good
Clean and friendly
The store had a large selection of food to choose from, but the food was not good and did not taste fresh at all. Neither the store or bathrooms were clean. The employees were friendly and the service was quick.
Nastiest Flyin J ever! Don’t clean showers,( mine had broken soap on shower floor & dirty laundry in it), no coffee( mess everywhere), girls behind counter could care less. Absolutely shameful!
At night the entrance is dark the road striping indicating in and out are not are not visible vehicles go out the in and in the out creating dangerous situation. Will not visit again
They have the worst pumps that I’ve ever seen. They’re always broken or not working right. Flying J makes plenty of money. They can afford to fix the pumps. The company I work for is no longer going to go there. We are a delivery service that buys a lot of gas.
11. RPJ GUITARWORKS
Address: 4620 Autumn Woods Way, Tallahassee, FL 32303 , Midway , Florida , United States
Rob is my “go-to” guitar guy. I would not trust any of my 30+ guitars to anyone else for repairs, set-ups, or mods. He’s also a repository of guitar info and always has an interesting story (or two) to tell.
Got my guitar playing better than when I first bought it. Enjoyed a nice conversation while he adjusted my guitar. Very fair price as well, will definitely be coming.
I have had all my guitar work done by RPJ Guitar Works for ten or twelve years now. I will not let anyone else work on my instruments. Owner Rob Debuono does outstanding work and stands behind everything he does. You have to be very careful when it comes to stringed instrument repair and you need someone you trust. There are a lot of people out there claiming to be guitar repair experts. Some are, some aren’t. RPJ GUITAR WORKS is the real deal.
By the way, I have seven guitars that RPJ works on and I am a professional musician.

This was my first time back in YEARS. It was nice to see how much it had grown. I look forward to celebrating this every Friday, as long as I can. Thank you.
Wish they would have not moved the stage from the water… Not the same going out in the boat…. But, the show was awesome!
Good music, good food, good folks
Jojo Pres was the best band this year. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I hope they come back. You should try and get Chase McDaniel to come. The place would be packed if you did.
Bands on Blackwater was fun. My lil dog enjoyed meeting new ‘buddies’. 🙂
Fun night out by the river. Enjoyed the music and atmosphere.
Noisy, not my kind of entertainment.
Awful
Best thing about tonight’s B.O.B. was that food truck 3D EATS & TEA. YUMMY ●●●
