The staff is always helpful and very kind to my novice guitar learning daughters. We got a string replaced and a guitar strap….. and learned a few things in the process.
Side Note Wish: I wish they had a stage with a full band worth of instruments for those talented enough to do an impromptu jam session demonstrating the equipment. I think that would be epic!
Kudos to Will at Guitar Center of Alpharetta for delivering an outstanding customer experience for me and my family. After a poor experience at the Guitar Center in Lawrenceville, I decided to visit Righteous Guitars in Alpharetta. I had no desire to visit another Guitar Center. However, I accidentally called the Guitar Center in Alpharetta instead of Righteous Guitars, and was so impressed with Will over the phone that I decided to give the Guitar Center in Alpharetta a try. My experience could not have been better – it was a night-and-day difference. Will was very attentive and demonstrated interest in understanding what I was looking for and what my concerns were. He even set me and my family up in a private room for me to try out different guitars. We ended up purchasing a Gibson Les Paul Studio, a Blackstar amp, and a Yamaha keyboard set. Unfortunately, the keyboard set couldn’t fit in our car. Will and his colleagues went out of their way to help us get our gear home by unboxing the equipment and loading everything piece by piece into our car. The level of customer service we experienced was absolutely top notch. Furthermore, after a few days with the Les Paul Studio, I decided that I wanted to try out a Les Paul Classic and returned to the store a week later, where Will delivered an outstanding experience yet again. He went out of his way by cleaning and setting up the Les Paul Classic from top to bottom, adding new strings to the guitar as well. The hourlong drive to Alpharetta was worth every penny on both occasions, and I would strongly recommend this location to anyone who is interested in purchasing an electric guitar or keyboard. Thank you, Will and team!
Nice clean store. Could have better selection of guitars and amps, though.
Love the place but selection of acoustics not very good. FUN FUN FUN!
Decent pricing and inventory. Employees don’t go out of their way to communicate with you.
Oh my heavens where do I start. This store is in complete chaos mode. Unlike the other Guitar Centers around the area this one needs a serious makeover with its staff and store. On this occasion I went to purchase a new amp, and use one of my existing amps as a trade. This was an event in itself the sales rep was visibly frustrated in working this trade right from the get-go. I understand trade value is low at this store, but I’m not in the habit of being beaten with the low ball stick. During the process the sales rep offered a 10% discount on the item, and then at the point of sale tried to pull back on the 10% as it was a used item. He became even more frustrated when he could not locate the sales tag, almost to the point as if he was ready to blame me in the removal of the tag. His frustration was being taken out on the Sales Register keyboard, it was taking a shellacking. In his defense, the store is woefully understaffed. I felt like I was certainly not a valued customer at this location, I will continue to shop at Guitar Center as it has been my go to store for musical equipment for over 30 years, but for crying out loud North Point Guitar Center, get it together. On the plus side though I did get to keep the 10% discount as I wasn’t going to back away from his offer, his mistake, not mine. However he did try to lay in the guilt trip and make me feel bad for the mistake he had made. If he had not been a little condescending in the early part of the transaction I would have let the 10% slide.
Very understaffed
But pie was very helpfull
Speaker riom not working
Terrible staff, lots of damaged gear. Absolutely the rudest sales staff I have ever encountered! Will not go back to a guitar center.

Katie is a very talented musician and a fine teacher. She plays more instruments than I can enumerate and professionally performs in several. Her instructions are very intuitive and methodical. If you follow along you’ll avoid so many pitfalls and start to see results quickly. I haven’t taken her lessons for my advanced violin studies but it was only because I had moved. Given the chance, I would’ve loved to join her again for lessons.
Fine musical private instruction. My kids love going here.
Katie is an excellent teacher. Very talented and professional. She was very patient with my daughter and helped her excel with her cello in her high school orchestra. I highly recommend her!

So much better then guitar center, Jacob was very helpful.
Amazing service and experience.
Such a cool store!
We went there to fix my duagther flute, the technician was so awesome and professional! Thank you
I am visiting from Las Vegas and found Cheney Brannon, in the drum department to be friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to spend a few minutes with me. Cheney will be getting a call from me next year when I will be ready to buy my new Tama Star or Starclassic kit……
Friendly, very helpful
We had a bad experience at that place. We tried to rent my son an instrument, but the workers kept giving illogical excuses for us not to rent.
I waited a long time to get my things, such as my book, mouthpiece, and care kit. The care kit was not that bad, coming in after about 2 days, but the mouthpiece came after 15 DAYS– For ONE MOUTHPIECE. The book, though I had to wait even longer, but after I called them, I felt better about the service, as the employees were very helpful. The customer service is very good, but the shipping time is cruel.
I took my son’s guitar to fix string and my son’s tuner gone. So I called and someone who answer the phone he saying they can’t do anything. Even didn’t try pull up my information. I want to give 0 star if I can.

My girlfriend has bought a harp and Sheet Music from there. Ashley was super friendly and helpful with everything.. I do recommend!
Thanks to Ashley and staff I had a wonderful experience deciding upon which harp would be a great fit. They have an awesome selection to choose from and Ashley is so patient and knowledgeable. Nothing but excellent customer service throughout the entire process; so glad I purchased my first harp from AHC!
I LOVE HARP
8. Beau Vinci Violins
Address: 116 N Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009 , Alpharetta , Georgia , United States
I recently had my beautiful Italian violin worked on at BeauVinci. Some cracks repaired, a new bridge, fingerboard planed, repositioned the sound post and adjusted the neck angle that had drifted. It is sounding just beautiful and I am so pleased! I also had my bow rehaired. Emily was delightful to work with – straightforward and knowledgeable. She gave me a nice loaner while mine was being worked on which was so helpful! And she also appraised my violin which I needed for adjusting insurance coverage. Highly recommend!
My relationship with Beau Vinci Violins is that of a consignor and it is a relationship that goes back many years. First and foremost I must say that Emily has been straightforward and forthright throughout more than seven years working with her. Professional, organized and detailed, she has also been easy to work with. I’ve always enjoyed how clean and neat and beautifully designed her shop is and also appreciate the wide variety of inventory she carries. Further, it has been a pleasure observing her as she works with her clients. Highly recommended.
Emily (the owner) is top notch and cares deeply for her customers. The quality of the instruments and most importantly the service and responsiveness are second to none. She gives you her personal number and will respond and be of assistance even when the business is closed! (This level of service is priceless!) I have three children who play multiple instruments and we have purchased and rented from the big box/chain institutions. Their level of service is typically mediocre at best.
You will never be disappointed with Beau Vinci and we will be life long customers!
Ronald A. Hall, MD
Seldom have I been treated that poorly at a business; really disappointing. I play several instruments and had gotten a (very well rated) violin set (violin bow, accessories) as a gift and the bow needed re-strung. Upon inspection Emily says this is junk, costs more to re-hair than it’s worth, we’ll throw it away and we’ll sell you another. The face she made said it all, what a puss. I said let me shop around; I was basically kicked out, happy shopping she says.
If you’re not sure you’re going to spend some money, stay away.
Some people that worked at Beau Vinci came to my school to check our instruments and WITHOUT EVEN PLAYING MY VIOLIN one of the ladies said that it wasn’t good enough and asked “can you get something better?” The way she said it was also very very rude and hurt my feelings quite a lot 🙁
I get that they were trying to promote their store and get people to buy their expensive violins from them. I actually used to go there, but I don’t see myself going back.
We visited this store on Saturday morning, trying to rent a violin for my son’s school orchestra program. The guy was nice and professional at the begin, and they have a good promotional rent price for back-to-school – only $5 for first two months. We were happy to make a rent, until he gave us the case and told us the total price was 70 something, because he stuff a lot things in the case – a practice book for $15, a shoulder rest for $25, a rosin for $15, and maybe other stuffs I just can’t remember, without asking us whether we needed or not. We were surprised and told him that we didn’t need these stuffs except a rosin. The guy unhappily toke these additional things out and told us he would offer the violin for 5 dollar + 6 dollar for insurance but he wouldn’t let us take the violin without telling him my social security number. We rejected the offer and left the store.
Then we went the Atlanta Violin store in Roswell instead. We had very pleasant experience at there. The young clerks are really nice and gave us very good and fast service. we were happy to leave with a violin in the case.
9. Comeback Vinyl
Address: 1 S Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009 , Alpharetta , Georgia , United States
My first visit was on 7/17/20, and I originally selected curbside pickup but decided to go in and check out the store. I like how they 1. Enforced masks and hand sanitizer. 2. Bright and well organized store 3. Everyone was just nice and chill.
The record I wanted was on back order, but not a big deal. I browsed around and found a record in VG condition that I’ve been searching for, Isaac Hayes “Black Moses”. I think it was destiny, lol, that the record I wanted wasn’t in stock but I found something else to take off my “wantlist”.
Needless to say, I returned today, 7/18/20, and picked up more records ($5 mystery box had 15 records in it). They had a different crew there but the experience was the same. I found my go to store in Alpharetta.
Alex is wonderful and the store is full of gems! One of my favorite record stores in ATL!!
Good selections, try not to spend All your money here … Good luck
This is a really good record store that has current jazz, electronic, rock and other genres. I will continue to go here on a regular basis. Free matchbooks too!
Everything was neatly arranged and packed, but not much of what I was looking for. I thought the prices were on the high side. I did leave with an album. Just didn’t have much fun there.
Good selection of new vinyl. Used vinyl prices are on the high side. Over all nice store
The records are for sure over priced and the old lady behind the counter has the worst disposition ever. How this place is still around is beyond me!!
If you are only into new vinyl, this may be a store for you. I love new vinyl too but, there’s too much old school sound that’s not being reissued. There is essentially no used vinyl here. I used to like the place but, I won’t be shopping here any longer. Lots of great vintage vinyl to be found elsewhere…almost all the new stuff can be purchased online for similar prices.
They are over priced compare to other vinyl stores. She’s glad to take the $100 we spent but won’t let us use her bathroom. Won’t be back.

I drove 5 hours (one way) to visit this store. It’s not a strip mall music store – it’s a GUITAR shop. I ended up leaving with a 2 series Taylor but Jeff, Scott, and staff treated me as if I’d bought the most expensive guitar in the shop. Their genuine customer service is rare these days. If you’re a guitarist this place put this one on your bucket list.
Bought a guitar that PRS had discontinued for over two years! Righteous Guitars was the last dealer I could find that had it in stock, and it was new! The guitar must have had it sat in the shop for at least two years. These guys fret dressed, completely set up the guitar, put it through there plek machine, put on new strings, and also shipped it to my house over night for FREE! Ben Calhoun offered the best customer service I have ever experienced! When the PRS arrived, I couldn’t believe how it sounded and played. It’s the best guitar I’ve played! My next guitar purchase will definitely be purchased from Righteous Guitars!
Amazeballs. One dope guitar shop. Don’t be scared, go on in there!
I took two of my guitars to be setup. They did an amazing job. My strat was virtually unusable beforehand. They made some adjustments to the pickups and it’s like a whole new instrument. All my guitars will be going to them from now on. I’ve tried several luthiers in the area, they’ve done the best job.
Great store. Just not my thing.
Did a drive by while traveling in the area. Saw the ‘call for appointment’ sign. Rang the door bell and was ushered into guitar heaven. Played a Heritage H150 (unplugged) for a while. I was ready to buy the beast and hit the road. Was told that it would be plek’ed and shipped to me. I really didn’t want that. I asked if I could pick it up in a week when I head back to FLA. They said the process would take 3-4 weeks.
So, there won’t be a new guitar in my collection. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Cool place. One of the staff seemed to act snobby, could have just been an isolated thing/situation. Guitar tech was really nice and informative.
Meh. I remember the days when privately-owned music stores made it a point to take care of repeat customers, going out of their way to make sure the customer was satisfied with their purchases and doing everything in their power to make things right. Those days are gone, and I won’t be shopping here again. Your mileage may vary, may the odds be ever in your favor.
No greeting. Vague responses to questions. Retail prices. Sterile.
Working with Andy was great. He is an outstanding producer and musician! His desire and ability to bring out the best performance from you in every song makes the process that much more enjoyable. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the final product and have ZERO regrets. I am looking forward to working with him again in the future.
Andy is absolutely incredible. We worked with him on our EP and he is absolutely masterful at his craft. Incredibly creative and talented, our songs benefited so much from working with him. He absolutely can help you take your songs to the next level, and I cannot recommend him enough.
Andy did a great job of producing a beautiful track! He’s great to work with; he pursued and accomplished the goal of an all around satisfactory track. Thanks again, Andy!

The entire experience of searching for and purchasing a piano from Steinway Piano Galleries was a wonderful one. I’ve never purchased a piano on my own until now and I always imagined that the process would be a more difficult one, but Tom made it both easy and pleasant. A total treat, I’d definitely recommend!
We had a great experience buying our new digital piano. Thomas was able to answer all our questions both prior to and after the sale. Also had a good experience with delivery company.
Great recital venue
very nice
Such a great place with many choices and options. Enough to make your investment in your piano ever complicated … In a good way
Terrible customer service, didn’t let us test out the pianos with full dynamics. Told us to play as “quietly” as possible.
