What a great store! So many beautiful musicboxes!! I wish I could’ve purchased something. He also went out of his way to help me with my broken car key! I will definitely be back!!
I would give this place six stars if I could!
Came here for a music box for my daughter. Lovely selection, I was not disappointed. I also got my favorite song!
We love this place and come here every time we visit Sutter Creek.
Mark and Lisa are wonderful, and we enjoy our talks with Mark whenever we’re here.
My wife collects the Little Mermaid, and she has many collectible pieces from here.
Save your money and purchase the same items from Amazon for half the price.
Believe that you can purchase the most amazing classical guitars at very low prices. I got the Hauser replica. It is on par with my Paulino Bernabe M30. Hard to compare because it’s spruce vs cedar, but it’s definitely the same level of quality guitar. I’m fascinated now in the ziricote double top. Amazing guitars! Photo is me and my wife. Real people, real customers!
I took a chance and ordered an expensive Goyette guitar. The instrument I received was not as finely constructed as I had hoped, but customer service was excellent and a replacement was sent out right away. Regardless of the flaws I saw in the first model, it did sound quite nice and Goyette was very reasonable and generous about making everything right.
this was not a guitar store my daughter is not happy with me right now, do not go
Don’t believe it
Residence, not store.

Amador Pawn is an Awesome shop. They are honest, friendly and always knowledgable about the unique one of a kind items. Five Stars
Love this place, I always find something I want. Chance is the proprietor and is always helpful.
great selection of very old to modern items. reasonable prices. fair and honest pawn service.
I made the mistake of choosing this place to pawn some tools for gas for the upcoming work week they aren’t open during posted times and I’m stuck.
Totally rips u off..And accepts stolen property..he’s a piece of work.. ups the prices 5x the real worth of his stuff… I’ll never go back and I’d recommend no one buys from him either
Its 11:10 am on a tuesday and they arent open. This is the 3rd time ive been here and havent caught them when they are open. So business hours posted that they actually adhere to would be really nice.
It’s a full music store, & the store owner was very nice it was nice and clean and packed full of all the things that you would want I actually found a strap there that I’ve not been able to find for about 20 years so that was awesome and at the same price I bought it 20 years ago
Fabulous! Very friendly and lots of variety.
Not a good experience. The owner seemed pretty full of himself
I had two of my kids taking lessons there. The first one quit within a month because the owners wouldn’t listen about my kid’s disinterest in singing marry had a little lamb.
The other kid stuck with it for another month and was told by the owners to just quit playing guitar because they weren’t picking it up quick enough after 1.5 months.
I went in to confront them and was told that the two months was up (to avoid paying a refund for the two weeks we had left) and that they never told my kid to quit. After some prodding they admitted that they said to practice more or quit.
Regardless of what was actually said, these people are out of touch, arrogant, and all around bad teachers.

Address: 636 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 95630 , Amador County , California , United States
This is the place we go to find all variety of music needs. Lessons, books, rentals, help with repairs. This has been true for many many years.
The customer service was great, sax works like a dream, and price/paying back deal is great. My English is awful and it causes me troubles all the time due to my too sensitive nature. My bad, and the first message is deleted.
Great selection of musical instruments and nice staff. Support this wonderful small business.
Love their selection of instruments and music books. Great service. The cafe is awesome! They hold a free Ukulele sing a long on Saturdays, super fun!
I enjoyed the experience of coffee, paired sometimes with comedy, awesome musicians to so so ones on open mike days. Fun place with friendly staff.
Wish the coffee was better than just good, or maybe I’m just spoilt. Haha.
Good staff
I bought my Martin at the store five years ago and they were very friendly but I recently went in to buy a sound pick up for my guitar and the man was immediately very rude to me.
I told him I would do my business somewhere else and I walked out.
Wow. Walked in with 5K in my pocket ready to spend. NO customer service. NO greeting. NO help. You guys need to learn a thing or two. You’re lucky you’re in Folsom and can survive on your overpriced lessons. Headed to Guitar Center. 1 star.
This shop is close to my home and has a reasonable selection and decent prices for its size. I don’t mind paying an extra 10% over what I would pay at Guitar Center if I can support small and local business. BUT the service here is pretty sparse and harsh.
As someone else said, customers are not permitted to handle any instruments (including $150 guitars) without assistance, and the assistance can be hard to come by. I kinda feel if you’re gonna spend 4 figures on a piece a gear you outta be able to look it over, feel it, and play it without having someone hovering over you. There are some products customers are not allowed to even LOOK AT, much less handle, without an escort. After all, it’s a music store, not a museum. I understand they don’t wanna have to discount products because someone mishandledthemt, but if that’s your policy it would be nice to have customer service that actually services the customer.

14. Walmart
Address: 10355 Wicklow Way, Jackson, CA 95642 , Amador County , California , United States
Nice employees. I can pretty much find what I need there.
What can I say. It’s my local Walmart. Gets the job done.
Convenient
No items at all
The greeters by shopping cart area were very rude .comments to each other.im disabled recently so I haven’t a motor chair yet.my wife asked the attendant if there were motor carts for me to ride on .the kid looked at me like .What,a lady attendent wanted to know what I was asking And she then commented everybody’s wants one…no not everybody …the the checker was so zombies not any expecsion not a word thanking us not nothing . obviously doesn’t like his job…maybe Walmart should hire folks who like to work and help the ones that pay there paychecks…there are a few employees there that are super employee s and this was only my first bad experience there….
The employees here are horrible and give snide comments to locals saying that they must not be from california and are not helpful at all.
Bought an 80$ rc car came with no battery my nefu couldn’t even play with it now I’m 80 out got home and in Tiny writing that I with 2020 vision could hardly read says reduce no battery why sell something g u can’t use worst Walmart ever!
15. Main Street Emporium
Address: 29 Main St, Jackson, CA 95642 , Amador County , California , United States
Walk upstairs to this little treasure of heaven. It’s done by consignment booths and each section shows a touch of the owners style in what they have to offer. A great walk backwards down memory lane and nostalgia. You are sure to find something that catches your eye. Super nice attendants, and you never know, there could be a surprise around every corner.
Main St in Jackson is very pretty for a Christmas stroll
16. The Music Store
Address: 4815 Granite Dr, Rocklin, CA 95677 , Amador County , California , United States
My daughter’s trumpet had 1 of the valves checking and sticking down. For no charge, he simply took the valve apart and adjusted the plastic piece which had rotated and it works like new. So polite and helpful and didn’t charge for his time to show me how to repair if it happens again.
Fantastic local music shop. Solid prices, helpful people, friendly environment and great selection
Has amazing lessons from really nice and good teachers. Also sells a variety of instruments
Friendly staff and very helpful.
I rented a used violin for my son from the shop. They said the price was $199. The rental was $35 per month. after two months if you want to own the violin then they said they would deduct the rental amount from the original price. But when we want to buy the used violin they said the price is $299 which is hell more than a new violin. So would recommend not to rent or buy anything from this store.
17. El Dorado Hills Music, LLC
Address: 873 Embarcadero Dr Suite 1, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762 , Amador County , California , United States
Sebastian is great. He guided me through buying a tenor ukulele, case and tuner. Beautiful instrument that I’m very excited to learn. Highly recommend El Dorado Hills Music.
This store is a guitar players dream. It’s smaller, but has no junk. Even the less expensive entry level guitars are solid. The owner has managed to jam more than a dozen PRS, Ernie Ball music man guitars and many others into the space.
Even the cables and straps are top-of-the-line. No junk amps either, mainly Orange and PRS and Line 6– all of which are solid.
The owner and the other gentleman in the shop were super friendly also. The owner did wince a little when I bought the Music Man Stingray out from under him. (This guitar is beautiful.)
This shop is worth the drive for those of us in Nor Cal and deserves to be supported. When we no longer have a local music shop and can only buy things online, we’ll regret it. Shop locally; give this place a shot.
Friendly owner/staff. Great selection of instruments and accessories.
Their music selection was a bit small but they had everything I needed at a very reasonable cost.
Did not have a kazoo
The line was crazy long and they were extremely under staffed.
18. Hospice of Amador Thrift Store
Address: 10776 Argonaut Ln, Jackson, CA 95642 , Amador County , California , United States
Experience retail therapy while helping the community at Hospice Thrift Store.
Is the best thrift store ever!!! The average low funded person can make there home look completely high end with only spending a few bucks. Most other stores have almost boutique prices, everytime l go the hospice the prices and quality blow my mind and their staff are always so friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work
It was clean – well organized and the staff was very friendly, somewhat small with limited offerings.
Great prices clean great people
This shop has some cool stuff who knew. I’ll check it out more often with the wife.
Went to donate after calling said they were taking everything, get there and they wouldn’t take half the stuff I had, this wasn’t junk, I had things from Lenox, Danbury Mint, etc . Lady was rude, she was picking and choosing what she liked. Well won’t donate to them again never had this happen before, I’ll have a garage sale instead. How about no stars.
This is the worst thrift shop in our area… The workers are incredibly rude, good luck getting a refund for the broken stuff they sell. I would rather get face crabs then shop at this place again….
ever since they changed the layout the clothing selection has been pretty eh. I miss how it used to be. Also they just randomly redid the point system without telling anyone so everyone lost the points they earned! and I had spent a lot of money here and had many point…extremely annoying

What an amazing shop. Beautiful, rustic pieces. Shop owner, Denise, has a such great taste. Need her to come style my new home!
I’ve been anticipating the opening of Americana Mamas and the shop is fabulous. An eclectic mix of rustic, antiques furnishings and home decor. Great prices for antiques of this caliber – half the price of similar items I’ve seen in Napa/SF area.
Americana Mama
Absolutely fabulous store, a mix of vintage and new….
I will definitely be back….
