Had an amazing Blueberry Lavender London Fog and the customer service was
Friendly. Great vibe. Delicious teas.
There are sometimes longer lines going out the front door. Watch the front door, it bites:) When you turn the door knob, there is a chance your finger will get stuck between the other door and the jam. Nice selection of pastries.
Delicious coffee and great service with a smile. Doesn’t have a lot of seating in the winter though when you can’t sit outside. Would definitely return for another latte!
Yumm!
Nothing special about this spot. Flying the rainbow flag but neglect the United States Flag, so you can already tell where their priorities lay. Coffee was over roasted and other flavor drinks were just TOO sweet. Do not plan to revisit.
The lattes weren’t great, but we ordered two of their breakfast burritos and they were inedible. Soggy, cold (even after being warmed up), wet on the inside. Just all around pretty gross.
Why not fly the American Flag instead of the LBGT? Will not return.
5. Gravity Sports
Address: 503 Pine St, McCall, ID 83638 , McCall , Idaho , United States
Great customer service – went on for XC ski rental and was finished with the process in right around 5 minutes. Friendly staff and good rental pricing.
Great service! Super friendly people to help. Will definitely be coming back whenever we are in McCall! Thank you!!
Excellent, responsive service. Carter, a mechanic, replaced my derailleur in 15 minutes! Thanks so much for coming in in the clutch!
Selection is quite small (especially for bikes) but it’s just a good overall sports store. The people inside were helpful in giving us trail ideas!
First, the shop is nice, the people are incredibly friendly. This is a great shop to rent, buy and talk trails. I am on the road full time, riding in multiple locations and needed to have my front and rear shocks rebuilt on my mountain bike. I should have waited till I went north. When I dropped my bike off, no one asked me my riding weight, which I thought was odd. When I got to the shop, they were about to just give me my bike back without asking my riding weight to set the PSI on my shocks and help me set the sag. I asked what my front shocks were set, I was told they were not sure, as they think they were set to what they were set at before. I asked them to set my rear shock at my riding weight. Not once, did they say “hey lets set up the SAG”. So I left not thinking about it. Then I rode at a downhill park and had a rough day. Then I remembered all my other shops, helped me set SAG when they worked on my shocks. I am not a mechanic. I paid them a lot of money to rebuild shocks and for a bolt. Maybe it is my fault for assuming that shock rebuilds come with setting the PSI in the front and rear shocks, with me sitting on the bike to set the SAG would be part of service. So now, I have to pay someone again, (up north) to help me set SAG. Kindof frustrated on this. It wasn’t cheap. Great people, I do genuinely like the shop. I did call other shops to ask if they check the SAG or reset it up if I had my shocks rebuilt with them, and they all do that. Maybe Gravity Sports could have a checklist that when shocks are built the mechanics help the customer to set the SAG on their new suspension. Would add to the quality of the rebuild 🙂
Keep in mind they don’t allow you to bring a bike back early. It’s considered a refund. I originally rented for two days but ended up returning it after 5hrs and Im out the $80 difference. My fault for not reading the contract but would have appreciated that being verbally explained upon checkout so i could have rented for shorter and then extended it instead.
The old lady here literally shooed us out…and then made us wait outside in the freezing cold until she got what we wanted….absolutely the worst customer service ever
Poor poor customer service. I felt as though we ignored. When we asked for help…we were asked to move out of the way for them to help someone else. We stood there for 30 min waiting. And then treated poorly. Will NOT spend my money in this store. Went to Home Town Sports down the road and they were fantastic!! Spent a grand. Glad to give my money to a better ran store!
Rude, confidently incorrect, and expensive. Spend your money elsewhere.
6. Payette Dream Coffee House and Diner
Address: 314 E Lake St, McCall, ID 83638 , McCall , Idaho , United States
Great place, both times I’ve been here its been a wonderful service and awesome food.
Good service and a good portion for the price.
Lots of seating. Clean. The secret is they have the same ice cream as Ice Cream Alley. I had the Espresso Explosion on a cone, and it was so yummy It was busy, but super short, wait.
Day trip to McCall from Boise. Found this awesome spot. Great food. Great service. Will be back.
Great food, a little short staffed like most places post COVID. Our brunch was excellent.
The coffee was average but the young barista was not friendly and seemed annoyed I was making a purchase at this establishment. However, my girls loved their birthday cake ice cream and huckleberry milkshake. The aesthetic was rough and seats on the booths were duct taped together.
My family and I were visiting McCall over the weekend and the kids wanted some ice cream! From the pictures online, it looked like a family friendly establishment but this was far from the case. The employees working at the time were dressed inappropriately; complaining about other coworkers to our faces; and they had friends there “hanging out”, going behind the counters + helping serve the food. One of the friends had on a crop top that was extremely revealing with a beanie that said “f*** off” on it. I was extremely embarrassed for my kids to see this and we all felt very uncomfortable. This is extremely poor representation for the business and we will not be returning.
The worst service we have ever had! It started off bad when it took a really long time to be greeted by our server. We finally ordered and our order didn’t arrive for an HOUR. One of our meals only came with half the food and when I asked why we didn’t get a full order of food the server said ‘oops’ and never brought out the rest of the meal… even when I asked if I could just take it to-go, the server still did nothing. I also ordered an omelette to-go for my mom and when I got that order, it was missing the hashbrowns and toast. I asked the server why I didn’t get the full meal AGAIN and he said that when you order breakfast to-go they wont serve it with hashbrowns and toast (seriously). We didn’t receive a water or coffee refill the whole meal.
I used to be a server so I know that these simple things a server can do to make your meal enjoyable are NOT THAT DIFFICULT! This restaurant should invest more time in hiring and training better staff!
It was amazing and i loved the food it was awesome 10 of 10
7. MCPAWS Thrift Store
Address: 301 Lenora St, McCall, ID 83638 , McCall , Idaho , United States
Love this place. Come here everytime we are in town.
Excellent staff, selection and prices. The kitty’s are the best!
Best part of this thrift store is the “Cat Library”!!! Cannot begin to express my joy when I found out this little nook on the right inside the store existed!!! There’s volunteers there that open up cages of adoptable kitties! Hold them as long as you want and try REALLY hard not to take one home!!!
Small thrift store with some great offers from books to clothes to kitchen stuff.
Nice place. It’s nice to know that your dollars will be going to help the local animals. They have a great selection of clothes, glassware, and sundries.
We love going to McPaws thrift store and always make a point to go when we are in town. One memorable Christmas, we, and all of our adult children and grandchildren stayed in McCall. I was able to buy a Christmas mug for everyone for less than a dollar apiece! Imagine my disappointment to find out the store is no longer open Saturdays! We are in town for the weekend and I was looking forward to going! I understand staff shortages are everywhere these days but could you have limited hours on Saturday? Or maybe be closed Sunday and Monday? Visitors are usually here on weekends.
Definitely isn’t the same without Mindi around kinda sad not seeing a happy smiling sweet face around. She’s always so helpful.
Closed we were disappointed.
We stop in there just about every time we come to McCall. Stopped in today and found a free standing umbrella that was missing the lower post. Asked if we could get a one dollar discount because of that. Clerk was, what we felt, very rude. She said the price is what it is, period. No smile, no friendless, nothing. We won’t go back!
8. Toby’s Place Thrift Shop
Address: 506 Pine St, McCall, ID 83638 , McCall , Idaho , United States
The staff is very friendly. Everything is clean and priced well.
Didn’t find what I wanted. But the store was clean and pleased. Staff helpful
Lots of inventory, well organized, clean. Supports a great cause.
Cool place wonderful cause.
The non profit cause? Amazing. The prices? It’s like a hoarders sale with overpriced used Walmart apparel. When they have sales, it’s worth it but for the most part, most things I find that I like are so out of this world overpriced I’m better off putting it down and heading to the thrift store down the road.
Very friendly. Typical thrift store.
I’m not sure how I feel about this thrift store. I spent a little over $51 so I was trying to make exact change and not use a larger bill. The cashier seen I had larger bills and kept saying I could “round up” and make a donation?? I wasn’t quite sure what she meant. I seen a large jar that looked as if it were for tips and I said I have extra coins I can leave but she again said I could round up to leave a donation. She wasn’t specific what the donation was for so I was reluctant even though I’m all for donating to those in need. All in all the store is just ok. I’ve seen better thrift stores in Caldwell , Idaho
9. Ace Hardware – May Hardware
Address: May Hardware, 809 N 3rd St, McCall, ID 83638 , McCall , Idaho , United States
Truly great service from everyone, Jeff was super helpful. Just one thing..I traveled 2275 miles to work here for 6 days…I needed stuff on Sunday. I never get a day off.
Great place friendly service
I really like this place, one of the best selection of professional tools.
Great place for all your hardware needs…
Good selection. Pricey.
While I respect their rights to require masks, they didn’t want my business. Plenty of other shops to sell me a chainsaw. Wonder if their answer to mosquitoes is a chain link fence? About the same ratio as mask and virus…
Worst hours for an Ace Hardware. Some people are off at 5 to work, these guys just shut down when people are off.
Extremely rude about requiring me to wear a mask even though I have a asthma and they kicked me out and refused to allow me to shop in their store. This a discrimination against my disability and againt our constitutional rights. I have never been treated so poorly at a business.
10. St Luke’s McCall Auxiliary Thrift Shop
Address: 216 Lenora St, McCall, ID 83638 , McCall , Idaho , United States
Great place! Clean, organized well, friendly staff.
Helping animals with every purchase.
Great place to shop for almost anything but if you expect to find something like a Xbox or something really new then it is not gonna be there would go there again.
I love to shop here for second hand clothing and books
Lots of nice items
Been sitting here waiting for the store to open. Website says they are open (at 12 pm) but no one is here. Closed on Mondays perhaps? The website should have that on their website. I don’t even see it posted on their door. Watched people come and go thinking they are open as well.
11. Fogglifter Cafe
Address: 1003 N 3rd St, McCall, ID 83638 , McCall , Idaho , United States
Good choice for morning breakfast! The breakfast croissant was delicious
Good drinks and food.
Great endless coffee and burritos
Fast service but very mediocre coffee. Got a black and white and you couldn’t even taste a hint of espresso in it (if they used any at all).
Wonderful baked goods and coffee, very comfortable and homey setting.
Not what I expected but ok
This place is run by lazy kids that expect you serve yourself and tip them, just go somewhere else the food isn’t even great
The breakfast menu is limited, but so much is written on the chalk boards it’s a little difficult to read. They take your order and money at the registerand and bring your food. After that it’s all self service including getting your coffee and a sign indicating where to put your dirty dishes. Want a coffee refill you get your own. Prices seem high for self service. Makes me wonder what they have the tip jar for.
45 + minutes and still waiting on one order of eggs Benedict. Coffee was good and food was good but the wait was unreasonable.
12. Cafe 6 three 4
Address: 500 N 3rd St, McCall, ID 83638 , McCall , Idaho , United States
Trendy coffee shop with good food too.
We had lunch…it was really good.
Great coffee!
The food was incredibly delicious and so fresh. The staff was friendly. Highly recommend.
Staff was friendly and helpful. We came here because we thought it was cute driving by. We both got the hebiscus tea they have on tap amdt it was amazing. We got the 208 sandwich and the 634 bowl. The 208 sandwich had a thick turkey cut instead of deli slices which I thought helped the sandwich stand out over other turkey sandwiches I have had. It comes with chips. I took a star away because the bowl had thick cuts of cabbage and little teriyaki to help give it flavor. I think it could have been better with shredded cabbage instead of the chunks. If you want to try it ask for extra teriyaki on the side.
Vegetarian options: Tampura is a “meat” option
Parking: On the left side of the building
Kid-friendliness: Small kid chairs for outside
Wheelchair accessibility: The ground is flat and no stairs. Don’t even have to open a door.
Good food, nice atmosphere
Great coffee and the fresh ham and cheese croissant was delicious. We ordered the corncheros and the Idaho waffle. Both were delicious.
Also got the French toast which we wouldn’t get again but it’s not bad just not our favorite.
I used to love this place, and the owner is such a sweet and kind lady, so I am very saddened to leave this review. I hardly ever review anything, but the service I received today was the worst I have ever had from a business. I ordered a regular mocha and an oat milk mocha. Very simple…. The teenage barista made the first mocha with the regular milk and then added oat milk to what was left over of the regular milk in the frothing pitcher. I asked her to remake it due to my lactose intolerance and she flat out refused. They were not busy, so I don’t understand the childish behavior. Then to make matters worse, she and the other teenager cashier started laughing about it, as if my request was the funniest thing they had ever heard. When I was leaving one said something about me not being from here, which could not be further from the truth. I was born and raised here. When the tourists leave, we are the ones that are still here.
It’s truly ironic, since their motto at the register is to be kind…. Which seems to be lost on the teenage staff running the business this morning.
Thank you for your quick reply. I would doubt that they would own their behavior. You have a camera pointed at the register and espresso machine. I was in shortly before 10am and there were no coffee orders immediately ahead of me. Perhaps you could review the video and audio and follow up with some counseling on customer service. I’m sorry you fell unappreciated. Like I said in my post, you have always provided great service in the past.
Not my type of place food was horrible
The design looks cute and the menu is interesting BUT Horrible service! Very mean lady when I asked about the wait time which was 45 minutes, acting super entitled and better than. Do not recommend. Don’t give them your money.

Fun flavors
HUGE scoops of ice cream. Very friendly staff
If you order a double scoop prepare to share! I was informed by the staff after I received mine that a double scoop is about 1 pint of ice cream! Yeah the lines are long, but you get significantly more ice cream than anywhere I have ever eaten for the price you pay. What a great deal!
Friendly staff. Big servings !!!expect long lines but they move fast
Huge scoops of mediocre ice cream. The line is craaazy long, but I guess that’s because they are loved. Insane what people will do for ice cream in a small town on a summer night when nothing else is open.
Loved it coming from Phoenix AZ!
We came to get ice cream at 8:20 pm. There was a family of 4 eating freshly scooped ice cream cones and 2 more people walking out of the alley with cones as we were walking in. The employees were closing the shop for the night (with the pick up window still open) and told us that they were closing early because there wasn’t much business and that the sign said they would do this… But the sign said they would be open until 9:00. If you state you are closing because of a lack of business, wouldn’t you want some business? Bummed we couldn’t get ice cream 🙁
Fun place to visit when in McCall and the ice cream is great. It is ridiculous that they charge an 18% “gratuity” tax for parties of 8 or more. We walk to a window and order ice cream. This is not a restaurant and we usually have to wait at least 30 minutes in line, in the heat. How does that justify a gratuity tip? How about a discount for parties of 8 or more? Additionally, I paid for everyone in my group, there were not even individual payments.
