I ordered something for $11 and selected free shipping. They shipped it immediately and it got to me 2 days earlier then predicted. Makes me feel like a valued customer and I’m very happy with my decision to order from Arkansas musucworks.
I live on the east coast, in between 3 major cities, so I usually have no problem finding what I’m looking for. They had the hard to find hardware I was looking for. Had the items at my door in 3 days. Just placed another order.
Great store to shop….the help is wonderfully talented and helpful weather you’re a seasoned musician or a beginner.
Wonderful tutors
Not a huge guitar shop but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, atmosphere was great light and humourous loved it got what I needed played some guitars and left with good memories
Knowledgeable staff. Personable not like most stores. Some prices are decent but could be better
Helloooo arkansasmusicworks,
helloooo Mrs. Christina Baker,
My name is Ümit Özkalender and I ordered on 02/23/2017 via ebay.de (germany) 3 Dimarzio Steve Vai Guitar straps. After my shippment is not arrived, I wrote an email to you. NO ANSWER! Then I get in touch with ebay custom care. They told me, not to open a case! They get in touch with you! 30 days later after purchase and payment with PayPal, they told me that a case was not opend and my money was gone! PayPal do the same, what those useless, zero function ebay custom care do! Then I wrote you a couple of emails. NO ANSWER! No Shippment tracking! No replacement! No refund! NOTHING !!!
Soo, my 1st question is. Are you a serious company? And if you a serious company. Do you have any idea what custom care is? Grab the money and out of sight, out of mind?
And, my 2nd question. I want the guitar straps! Does that mean, I must pay one more time and hope it will be delivered! This time! Maybe?
Hope you have an good answer!
Regards
I’ve got no shippment and I was not refunded! That’s a fact! Don’t matter if it’s one or two years ago!
Brought my guitar into get work done on it. Neck reset and put new strings on it. They ship it out to the luthier who gives it back in worse condition than I gave it to them in. DO NOT USE!
I was visiting Arkansas for a short time and had a last-minute need for an accessory for my USB microphone. I tried to call them numerous times over two days and no one ever answered the phone, nor did anyone ever return my call despite my leaving a message on the answering machine. So I risked it and drove to the store (because they were the only thing around the area), and when I got to the store I could see that unless I was a guitar player or drummer, I was probably out of luck. I just needed a wind sock for my microphone. They had ONE product that fit that description – with four socks, and all small. I finally had to settle on getting a popscreen instead. I honestly think in my particular situation I would’ve been better off ordering something online or going to BestBuy.
2. Mountain View Music
Address: 123 W Washington St, Mountain View, AR 72560 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
Favorite place in the hills great music friendly people shopping and more.
Scott completely reconstructed me fiddle.
I had fallen on it years ago and everyone I took it to in Boston said it couldn’t be fixed or wasn’t worth it. Devastating news… Scott had it finished really quick considering the amount of work and they were more than fair with the price. They also have some really unique and rare instruments come through the store.
They have a great community in Mountain View and Scott and Cha’s music store is a huge part of it. It was really nice to sit in the shop and chat while the locals came in to play tunes on the porch and the school kids all have their lessons.
Took my flat top in because the action was to high. Friendly and best of all my guitar plays better than ever. Thanks!
Always injoybale
Very cool place me and my friend went here but they are very strict about masks and things.
Great place
Rude and very hateful people. I have been going here for more than 10 years and I will never go back, and be treated in such a rude manner.
3. Guitar Center
Address: 160 E Joyce Blvd, Fayetteville, AR 72703 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
Wife talked music awhile and picked up some guitar supplies. Nice store and everyone was very helpful.
This place is just great. Beau fixed my 12 string guitar which was really jacked up before he restored it perfectly. Great job!
Loved the products and I was treated amazing. Great gear, amazing service, highly recommend it.
I went in at the end of The Working Day. There were not a lot of salespeople in evidence but they all seemed both experienced and pleasant. I watched as Andy and his coworkers worked with several customers and I felt like everyone was well served. If I ever learn to play the damn guitar I suspect I’ll be at fixture in their store. Check them out.
They had a couple of specialized cables I needed in stock. The place does seem a little empty with all the COVID restrictions in place.
I love guitar center! the staff are slow to help you but they either do it pretend to know their stuff really well. prices are welllllll….a little high on some things, but still the best place to go pick up a guitar and have some fun
Got into it with the customer service manager. Every time I come in there he harasses me.Very sad angry experience with this place.Do not recommend!!
Nothing in stock. Kinda rude.
Went to buy a cable last night around 7 pm 11/09/2023. Stood at the checkout counter for 5 minutes waiting on the employee to check me out. Instead he just continued having a conversation with somebody about dungeons and dragons and chose to completely ignore me, despite seeing me standing and waiting with an item. He seemed to want to do anything but his job. Another guy was screwing around with his girlfriend in the back and distracting his coworker.
4. RockTown Music
Address: 3411 Main St STE.4, Bryant, AR 72022 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
A great stringed-instrument and amp repair shop, with an ever-changing assortment of cool used instruments for sale — owner Bryon Knight is very knowledgeable and talented, and will treat you (and your instruments) right. Also has a wide assortment of strings and other accessories — search him out, it’s well worth the effort!
Very professional Staff, had an issue at first but was worked out immediately and I was taken care of. Will continue to take my guitars here to get setup/fixed.
Yep
Great spot, super amount of knowledge and experience with repairs among other services. Same problem everybody else has with out of stock items here and there.
Nice, friendly environment. This guys is experienced in his craft and genuine in the way he conducts business. A rare find these days.
Dishonest and lazy. He has earned that distinction with me after implying that I attempt to make and sell a counterfeit guitar on the market. His boundaries are not clear. He should have refused the work order instead of hemming and hawing trying to teach me a lesson in trademark infringement. I also hired him to put Seymour Duncans in a Squire. When I called him for progress report he said he was “working on it now”. I go back 2 weeks later and the Seymour Duncans hadn’t even arrived yet. I have no trust in dishonest and lazy people. Oh, and Bryon, please dont call me about this post. If you’re a good luthier, I suggest you keep your nose in the workshop out of site from the customers.
I took my 2001 Les Paul to Bryon and Dave in February 2019 for a basic set up. I bought it new and always stored it in the case and very rarely had it out. Very careful with it. The guitar only had one very small blemish on the front. When I got it back it had several deep dents on top edge close to the back and a couple dents in the back itself. They swear they did not damage it but I know for a fact it wasn’t damaged when I dropped it off. I had just polished it before I took it there. Bryon had promised it would be ready Saturday the 23RD and it was not. He then told me it would be ready the following Monday which it was. I’m not sure if they just got in a hurry or what exactly happened but they pointed to the paperwork stating they were not responsible for any damage…. Not a good way to run a business. I should have inspected it and made note of any defect with them before dropping it off. Lesson learned!!!
After many attempts trying to visit this place because it has been closed. I finally went into the store today and found the guy Dave not to be very friendly or welcoming. So I only stayed a few minutes. I won’t ever be back!
5. All Star Music
Address: 3707 E Highland Dr, Jonesboro, AR 72401 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
Jr.great person to have dealt with
Employees great to friendly curtious
JR and his staff are professional and knowledgeable. They are very helpful.
Neatly kept. Helpful but no price tags for browsing.
Interesting instruments
Great selection and prices
This may be the place to get an instrument repaired, but certainly not the place to buy. It does not look like the photo inside. I would compare it to looking like a run down flea market inside. As other reviewers have said, it was very overpriced. I asked for ukulele strings and they didn’t even have any. Most items on the shelf were very outdated and dirty. The selection of music books was awful. I can’t even see why they are still open as a music store.
Selection is sub-par and overpriced. You are always able to talk them down on the price however and the staff is serenely helpful and extremely knowledgeable. You can find a few brand name guitars and a large selection of drum kits. I think it deserves repeating the staff is fantastic!! (no I don’t work there) ha
Over priced merchandise. Didn’t enjoy my visit at all. I purchased what i needed because it was my only choice but at a price three times what it should have been.
Awesome! Awesome! They do lessons and instrument repair of all kinds. The have repaired several of my guitars new and vintage, done a great job. I took lessons there, great teachers, had a blast. All around the best place in Arkansas for lessons and repair. Love them.
Preston is the best! We’ve loved these guys since we did some work for them, but they now have a special place in our heart after taking over home school music classes when another place closed. Thanks for all you do!
Fixed up our Taylor guitar and added a custom starburst finish that looks and plays great! Really happy with the instrument work!
Talked to Joey in the store today. He took some time to help me plan for an upcoming purchase for our church. They have a large selection of all kinds of musical instruments and they do lessons, as well. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Highly recommended! Thanks, Joey!
Usually busy because they’re good at what they do!
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
8. Saied Music Co
Address: 2880 Point Cir, Fayetteville, AR 72704 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
Great service and experience. Walked out with a new saxophone.
Clean store, nice staff.
Everyone is easy to talk to and friendly. They carry a wide assortment of musical equipment. Typically geared for the student musician.
I don’t have much for you compared the store to so I can’t say I’d give it five stars but why not four. It was just a quick and easy trip where I was looking for a cowbell and wasn’t a hundred percent what to look for. There was a guy there who helped me I forget his name but he didn’t hesitate and I got what I needed.
Pretty great selection of instruments, however I felt extremely awkward with the staff and felt like my questions were intrusions. You could chalk this up to me just being anxious, but I would have much more appreciated an employee who could recommend stuff to me, and willing to help me find what I’m looking for. I’ll be going to A different shop to get what I need
When I got there I was excited to be buying a ukulele something I’ve been wanting since I was little and when I asked how much taxes were because $82 up from the $54 seemed outrageous the man said idk and didn’t even check it just took an extra $21 and when I was asking questions about other instruments he had. No information literally making me. Still waiting on the money to be back in my account had to go to bed hungry tonight
Awful service. Bought strings for my guitar, and since im not very good at putting them on and they were the most expensive strings, i left my guitar for them to put the strings on for me bc they said theyd do it for free and that they would call me within a day or so. I waoted almsot a week and figured that i must have missed the call and went there to get my guitar. They hadnt even touched it and told me that it would be several more days before they could get to it. I just went ahead and took my guitar. Never getting my business again im just gonna go to guitar center.
9. The Musician’s Exchange
Address: 2221 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
It’s a wonderful place, you can get any kind of musicians equipment down there that you need ; service is great and people are just wonderful. Bill’s the owner and he’s a wonderful guy you’ll enjoy just chatting with you, so if you need anything in the way of musician’s equipment stop by The exchange
Best music store in Arkansas!
Bill and his crew are friendly and honest.
They can fix anything, correctly. At a fair price. It’s mostly a guitar store but they have a little bit of everything.
This is one of only a handful of places in the River Valley you can buy instruments and accessories from. It’s a place I can drop in quickly for new strings or sticks. They offer some set-up/repair services from entry to intermediate difficulty. Keep to the kids close (or at the house), as various instruments and/or parts are laying around in some areas of the sales floor, making for somewhat treacherous terrain and unclear pricing. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though you may have to approach them directly for help. I prefer this myself. Glad they’re here.
It’s guitars what’s not to love. Good folks here.
Interesting selection of mostly used gear. Friendly folks!
Dropped a guitar off for the owner to look at. He told me over the phone he’d give $150 for it and only a few hours later when I came in to get the money he prints me a ticket off and hands me $100. I reminded him that wasn’t what we agreed on and all he said was “that’s all I can do unless you want me to undo the transaction”. Not good business in my opinion. He lost a customer over 50 bucks. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
And now he’s calling me a liar. This isn’t some story I made up when I was bored, it actually happened. Remember the guitar was dropped off so it could be appraised. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but this one was earned.
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(
Bought a brand new acoustic guitar here after years of using this store for my musical needs. The guitar wasnt staying in tune and i noticed the intonation was a little off as well. I took it back 4 days later and they offered me 100 bucks for it. It was brand new and i spend 400 on it and bought a 150 dollar case as well. Thats not the way you treat repeat customers. I will never be returning to this store again.
10. Palen Music Center
Address: 4093 W Sunset Ave #101, Springdale, AR 72762 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
I love Palen Music. When I order stuff for my instrument, it always comes in early.
So helpful. Need maintenance, go here.
Knowledgeable rep who answered all my questions.
They didn’t have the trumpet I wanted but they got me the best trumpet now we just wait for about a few day and that’s it
Friendly and careful repair. Would give 5 Stars if a more affordable option/tier of instrument was available to increase accessibility. We rent to own and carry insurance, paying about $45 a month for each instrument.
I took my flute to Palen Music in Springdale, AR for a Key and pad adjustment on January 22, 2021. They said the instrument will be kept in quarantine for 3 days, then they will look at it. They took my credit card info, gave me a receipt and Left. Latter part of the next week I called to see if my instrument is ready to pick up. They said the flute is not ready because they wanted to give me an estimate before fixing it. She gave me the estimate on the phone and said we call you when it is ready. I did not hear from anyone the next week and I called back. They said it takes usually two weeks to repair, so we ‘ll have it by Thursday and call you. Thursday, I did not hear from anyone. I called on Friday and asked them if my flute was ready. After a long wait she came back and said the instrument is not ready and it will be next week. At that time, I told them I am picking up my instrument since it has been exactly three weeks to this day. She Also let me know that they already had charged my credit card. When I got there, they had not issued me the credit. After waiting another 20 minutes for that, they told me they can’t get hold of the accountant to issue the credit at this time but they will send it to my email account. I picked up my instrument on 2/12/’21 and left. A bad experience for me.
I have never had an instrument fixed properly. I don’t know if their piccolo person is just lazy or they don’t know. I will get my instrument and take it back and extra time or two to get them to actually fix what I asked them to fix the first time. I’ve even had my instrument come back more damaged than when I sent it in. Make sure you take extensive note of the condition given and condition returned. Make sure you give it a very good once over when you get it back too.
Nice store
11. Meteor Guitar Gallery
Address: 128 W Central Ave, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
Best Music Store Around! Les And His Family, Have Become Our Family! Always Grade A!
Very cool place
Good selection.
So I’ve been able to enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful venue as a result of being here in Bentonville for this years (2021) film festival. Unfortunately, its currently just set up for the festival so I am in able to experience the place in it’s TRUE setting, however, it’s a beautiful building with an awesome staff and guitars for days.
We went to the Amy Winehouse Experience. We really didn’t care for the show because we felt like the show made a mockery of Amy’s final days of addiction and mental struggles. I wish the show would have celebrated Amy’s ironic voice over the sad drunken end of her days. Also they’re band was so loud you could barely hear Jenna’s “Amy” voice. Not sure if that was the band or house issue.
As far as the venue, we liked it. The staff was friendly and the place has a beautiful historic chill vibe. At the time (3/26) it was a BYOB but I think that might be changing? We will be back to check it out again.
Worst experience with a music store ever! Lack of knowledge. Limited amount of guitar strings. Just terrible experience first and last time there!
Canceled concert and never got refund
12. Guitar Center
Address: 12315 Chenal Pkwy A, Little Rock, AR 72211 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
I always go to guitar center with my Father. They didn’t have the guitar I wanted in stock but ordered it for me. There was going to be a shipping fee but they ordered it to the store and saved me some cash. Awesome place
Good service good music …. heaven
Taking my first acoustic lessons on Monday. Very excited.
Good place for musically inclined people. Staff very knowledgeable.
Nice place need more mandolins
Stock was low and the counter guy is a real mask warden. I seriously doubt I ever go back.
Edit: Still no response from the company after emailing them like they asked.
Bought strings and other stuff here, went to put on the new set outside and the manager told me not to solicit. I informed him i wasnt, and he went inside with a smile. Shortly after, the police showed up. Apparently, he called the police instead of asking me to leave. I returned everything I bought and headed to North Little Rock to Renown Music. Not only did they let me change my strings, we laughed about the manager Brandon Thomas’ behavior.
Bad service
They are making people stand outside in the heat for way too long.
13. Remix Music
Address: 3855 Elm Springs Rd, Springdale, AR 72762 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Large selection, especially considering the size of the store. Great prices. I’ve been beck several times and they’ll be my first stop when I’m looking for more gear.
If any business deserves a 5 star review, it’s this one. They make music approachable and fun. My kids especially love hanging out with Andy. He always makes every single person in the store feel special. They have a customer for life!
Good dudes, personable and knowledgeable…..good selection of new and used equipment
Friendly’s staff knows equipment.
We bought a guitar here for our son a couple weeks back. One guy was way too salesy and talked too much but I like supporting local so we bought one.
Firstly, this shop provides great service on guitars, setups and string changes. But beware of purchasing a guitar that is not currently hanging on their shelf. For example, the Fender American Professional II Strat, comes in 9 different colors. If you want a color that isn’t hanging on their wall, they will offer to get it for you, but it will be considered a “special order” and not eligible to be returned. This is an odd policy since they are an authorized Fender dealer. If you order the guitar direct from Fender, or Sweetwater, or any other online retailer, the guitar is eligible for return no questions asked. So essentially, trying to support a small shop will eliminate any guarantees offered by the manufacturer. Understand, I realize a small shop has limitations and must do what’s best for their bottom line. However, it was never communicated to me “hey if I order this guitar for you, it’s unreturnable.” The thought never crossed my mind to ask, since the item I ordered was a stock offering from Fender, nothing special or custom about it. It’s extremely surprising that a Fender dealer is not able to provide the same customer satisfaction policies that are in place by Fender themselves. Most of the guitars hanging on the walls are mid-tier or entry level guitars, so if you want something better, and you want the peace of mind to return it if you’re not happy with it, then I suggest looking elsewhere. If you need a great setup on your guitar, ReMix can do it.
Didn’t like the guy’s attitude or the prices. I probably won’t be back.
Love this place but couldn’t find what I was looking for.
Paid Remix $135.00 to put a new but bad Fender neck on my guitar. I Sent the bad neck back to Fender. They said it was warped on the 10th fret. Fender replaced the neck. Now Remix tech want’s me to pay again to install new neck. He knew the first neck was bad when he worked on it. My opinion is not good for Remixes Fender tech. The advise their tech Andy gave me, was to find someone else to install the neck.
This is not the kind of attitude one would expect from anyone representing a company as reputable as Fender.
I’ve played Fender Telecasters for 50 years. Had a lot of them worked on.
Never have I been treated as as poorly or rudely as I was at Remix Music. I’m sorry to have to leave this less than favorable post. But this is the way it happened.
14. Saied Music Co
Address: 4300 Rogers Ave #55, Fort Smith, AR 72903 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
Great place for a drummer looking for sticks and heads! Good variety at a price that unbeatable. Great workers and a cool atmosphere
Very friendly staff & very helpful
People was very friendly and helpful great personality
They had the components I needed and were very helpful.
They are very friendly and have good service. I believe they are high on their prices.
I showed them the kind of guitar strings I needed specifically not knowing entirely the name because they’re the experts right? I said I needed bullet strings for two fender guitars… they sold me a pack of “strings with the ball on the end” and when I opened the package they weren’t what I needed. A musical instrument store where the workers don’t know anything about musical instruments. Don’t waste your time or money or money, you’ll just be gaslit.
I bought a keyboard DGX-640 from this store which is cost $920. Then I realized the keyboard was not brand new and there was no box at all. Later, I did a research online, (Ebay, Amazon..etc.) and found that the original price was only $599 including everything. Most of the keyboards they are selling are not brand new at all. Be ware!
15. Arkansas School Band Services Inc
Address: 1023 S Arkansas Ave, Russellville, AR 72801 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
After avoiding the shop for some time because of mixed reviews I have heard from other locals, I went in because I needed a setup done fast. Not only was it extremely cheap, they oiled my fretboard, polished my frets, and replaced a missing mounting screw on my telecaster. They truly went above and beyond. I already plan on taking at least one other guitar in there. Great guys.
I’ve been going to Guido’s for years. He always has a huge selection of guitars and musical equipment. Great guy to shoot the breeze with and has a tremendous knowledge about music.
After reading a recent review here, I thought it would be proper to leave one myself and give you folks a true and accurate view of Guido and Virgie, owners of Guido’s Hot Springs Music.
Right before last year’s 2021 Orlando Guitar Show, I came down with a terrible case of Covid which caused me to miss the show. I left some money with my business partner, Lee Jackson of GrinningElk Music and headed back home to recover. After the show and weekend was over, it was Guido and his wonderful wife Virgie who went out of their way to bring me a few guitars to add to my inventory. This act of kindness was completely voluntary and is a true reflection of the kind of people Guido and Virgie are.
Compassion and concern are rare things these days and I will be forever grateful to these two incredible people who cared enough for both my business and well being to deliver those guitars. Seeing as how reviews and the internet are forever, let this small testimony stand as a testament of the good character and huge hearts these two people have. There aren’t many like them in this crazy guitar business!

Great service and reasonable prices.
This is easily the worst guitar shop I have ever been in. His prices are outrageous for the cheap faulty equipment he sells. The 15$ guitar amp cord I bought from him recently broke within a week. WITHIN A WEEK , for 15$ I could have gotten quality cord. He treats customers as poorly as he let’s his shop look. If you want to buy shoddy guitars , faulty equipment, and be treated like garbage that has sat on the curb for a month then go ahead and buy from this crook. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING HERE , if you need a guitar for someone who’s never played and you don’t what you need look elsewhere . Buyer be warned.
I bought a 1949 Gibson LG3 from Guido at the Arlington Guitar Show this past weekend that he stated to be all original. Within 24 hours I discovered the bridge had been replaced which effects its value greatly. I asked for some compensation for this change & Guido refused to give me a break on price & refused to take it back. He stated “I should give him back money from our last transaction or he would do nothing for me”. Is this how you want to be treated by a so called expert ? There was no offer ever made to buy back both guitars back from me at all. Never again will I be burned by Guido !
Never had a good experience here. Claimed I accused him of “stealing my friends guitar a few years ago”. I was 16 at the time he accused me of this. “a few years ago” I would’ve been in middle school. Because of this, he refused to buy a piece of used equipment from me. Truth be told, I just don’t think he had they money to buy it and made up a story to get me out of his shop. He asked me to never come back, and I certainly never did. I was also testing out a Line 6 amplifier and he would continuously come over to the amp and turn off the distortion. I was playing it at a very reasonable level, but he apparently doesn’t like metal, so he would just turn off the distortion and walk away. What the heck? I bought the amp – but I bought it from another shop. Take your business to Big Event Music. Its a much better shop.
17. Back Beat Music
Address: 613 Southwest Dr, Jonesboro, AR 72401 , Atea , Arkansas , United States
I recently had a bass guitar accident, where the fingerboard became separated from the neck, right at the tuning pegs! I’ve had this bass for around 14 years, so I was devastated! Lucky for me, Greg, Darrell and all the guys at Backbeat were super helpful, hooking me up with an awesome repair that got my bass guitar back playing just as good as it was before, and they even found a problem I didn’t know I had and got it covered! Great Customer Service for me, great pricing for the repair, and great experience!
Greg is always helps me when I’m in town
A great store with the best attentive service.
I have been coming here for years as most of the reviewers. I have always had a decent experience. I’m just an amateur guitar player who doesn’t practice much and i don’t know much about music. I have to be fair and mention that, yes, the staff has at times, seemed curt and disinterested but I’ve never had an out-and-out bad experience here. It’s possible that they were simply just distracted or overwhelmed, it happens! I got lessons here from a swell guy several years ago. I wish i could remember his name. They seem to have a large variety of items like accessories-tuners, picks, strings, stands for your chords, chord books, guitar cases and guitars. They offer stringing services, although I’ve never used them. I think I’ve seen a few banjos and mandolins for sale over the years, although those may have been instruments taken on trade, i don’t know for a fact if they stock and sell those instruments. I also don’t know if they do trade-in as I’ve never had anything to trade. I have seen ukuleles there for sale. It is possible that they have expanded the lessons they offer into other instruments, such as wind instruments but I am not sure. That would depend entirely upon there being any such instructors available here in Jonesboro that don’t already have their own business giving lessons. That’s a lot of “maybes”. It would be good to call and just ask, if this is important to you. I do know that they used to give drum lessons, it’s possible they still do. If you are a musician or have a musician in your life, check this place out!
Great place to shop,
However one small issue I had there was when I was wanting to repair my Fender Guitar. The guitar was beat up a bit, had no strings, paint was damaged, and the knobs for the tuning were gone and the plate was cracked. My friend found it in an abandoned place and it was a decent guitar it was just badly damaged.
I went there to the receptionist and all I got was, “You are better off buying a new guitar” Etc. He was insistent on me just buying a new guitar. It was a very arrogant moment.
There are good thing’s about the place but from my only experience on this It was a huge waste of my time trying to repair, love the shop, the staff is pretty chill but I believe there can be changes.
I usually do not write reviews about businesses, but I had to about this store. The customer service is absolutely horrid. There staff is arrogant and condescending. If you have any questions about a product, do not be surprised if they are rude and treat you like you do not know what you are talking about. They do not have that bad of a selection for a store that size, but all there items are overpriced. If you are looking to buy a reasonably priced product, buy it online from somewhere like Amazon or Sweetwater, and save yourself from a bad experience.
If you are looking to do a trade in, be prepared for them to give you as little money as possible. You might as well sell it online or sell it to a pawn shop. You will earn more money that way. They will find the lowest price online of the item you are buying, and that is what they will offer you. It does not matter how bad the condition of the product online is, or what condition your item is in.
This is one of the only local music shops in Jonesboro besides Allstar Music. I will not be returning to Back Beat Music. If you are trying to decide whether or not shop there, I will save you time: DO NOT! It is almost worth driving to Memphis to buy a product. I know this review seems very one sided, but I can not think of a single good experience I have had there. I wish there was something good I could say, but there is simply not.
I was charged $60 for strings and when I got my guitar back I had to tune it.I also feel they were a bit rude.
Yeah, I like the shop, but didn’t have the best experience. I brought my classical guitar in from out of town, and called first to specifically ask if they could restring with nylon wound. I brought another electric guitar in as well, since it needed new strings too. When I picked them up, they were both restrung, but my classical guitar was restrung with steel strings, not what I asked. They said they were out of nylon strings, but that these would work. It really changed the whole sound, and was not what I wanted. They didn’t show me the package, or indicate what type of strings for either guitar, but the invoice for both was almost $100! No set up, or anything, just a re-string. And I have no idea what they put on there. I guess it’s probably my fault that I have no time to put on my own strings, so let that be a lesson to me.

Brian and Valley Piano are a Russellville institution, and even if you don’t have a baby grand to tune, you know you want a ukulele for your folksy teen with the great voice to put on their YouTube channel . They have a sweet, black, v-head Dean electric a-la Pantera I’ve been eyeballing too… Valley Piano does it all. Right. .
Old friends I’ve known for over 50 years. Always friendly and good price.
Best store in town
Great people, a very old store
I went into to buy a guitar. Very small selection
Lots of sheet music and DVDs but it is all on the computer today. Wonderful people. I wish them well!
My visit was to test the integrity of an electric guitar I had. Spoke to the guy behind the counter. (The one with the gray streaked goatee). Told him I was preparing to sell it via Facebook, and all I want to do is see if it sounds as it should. He said it was ok I was like great thanks. The buyer was from outta town and was shopping for guitar supplies. She had just bought amp still needed a cord possibly more. Asked her to meet up there since she was just down the road. She wanted to go in do to the rain. Instantly he started ranting that he’s a business man a professional and I was shady for what I had done. I was very polite. My reply ( I’m sorry I brought you a customer sure she meet up with me to buy a guitar for cheap but she still may need something) she was there for his childish act. ( she replied I do need a cord) He didn’t even bother to respond to her. He looks at me says someone smells bad like cigarettes… Wow 0 stars for your sir. Where’s your public relations at. Your welcome for that sell.

Great little shop. They have a little bit of everything and if they don’t have it they can get it. Plus extra kudos for giving us a discount for warning a mask!
Great option for school band instruments.
Very nice people & had everything we needed!!
Knowledgeable and amazing service!
Friendly staff, small selection instruments. Musical instrument lessons given here
Good selection…
A few months ago, I visited Saied Music’s North Little Rock location to look into used flutes (online flutes are too hit-or-miss, I discovered, so I wanted to be able to try one before buying). Not wanting to spend a small fortune on an instrument I wasn’t sure I’d stick with, I figured used would be a safe bet.
The gentleman who was working that day showed me a Jupiter flute that had a price tag of $380 or $385 (I just distinctly remember it being in the $380 range). It had a head joint with a gold-plated lip plate that I found rather garish, but for the price, I was willing to consider it once I tried it and realized it played fairly easily. So, I went home to think on it, but I ultimately put off getting a flute for awhile.
Yesterday, I returned, and lo and behold, they had the same flute still in stock. However, this time a different guy brought it out, and the price had been removed, leaving only a partial green tag with some text on it. The man made a fairly loud show of talking to the other guy, who had originally showed it to me the first time I saw it, saying that, since it had a green tag, he could sell it for below the “book price.” He thumbed through a binder, ran his finger down a list of prices, and landed on $480. Then, he quoted me $450, saying that price was $30 below list.
I immediately thought of the scene in Legally Blonde when the clothing boutique worker pulls a tag off a dress from last season and tries to sell it to Elle for a huge mark-up, believing her to be too uninformed to know any better.
I closed the case without taking another look, then left the store without saying another word.
I lost all trust in Saied Music in that instant, and I will not return.
Not very much guitar stuff. Didn’t even have strap studs.
The absolute worst store ive ever been in will not be back
