2. McDonald’s
Address: 1202 N Church St, Atkins, AR 72823 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Below average for a McDonald’s. Needs a play ground and staff will mess order up 1 out 4 times
Great place besides the cold fries
This would be a great place for a restaurant. The boy that took mine and my son’s orders. I think his man bun was to tight. He was so scattered brained and acted like he was lost. I eat at alot of McDonald’s but I will not ever eat at this one
4 people pulled off to the side waiting on there food. No one in line this is the slowest McDonald’s I’ve ever ate at. Management here needs lots of help.
The food was good but the cashier got us for $5 because no matter how many times we said 20 piece chicken nuggets.. we got two ten piece and cost me $5 more bucks. She probably took the money and refunded the money in her pocket. I didn’t have time to mess with it due to being Thanksgiving and trying to get out of there.
3. Family Dollar
Address: 603 N Church St, Atkins, AR 72823 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Always good, good people usually has what I need in a dollar store
Friendly manager.
Great Place!
Great found everything I needed then some!
They are friendly employees but they always seem busy. Maybe they are understaffed?
Unorganized
The more I frequent this store the more aggravated I get. Individuals with negative attitudes talk freely about shoplifters and there’s often a wait and you must ring bell for service as the ladies usually can be found cooling their jets..on seemingly neverending cigarette breaks taken outside the front door of the store on merchandise that’s to be sold. ??? questions of price checks or merchandise that’s sold out simply get an I don’t know?? Customer service associates make snippy comments as their manager. Stands by, as well as joins them for their cigarettes. Seriously ladies?? Without customers where would this store end up? There are other stores in very close proximity and I for one will not return.
Old lady up front was rude asked me if she was gonna have to take items off before I was even done checking out. As if I didnt have enough money.
New worker with the blackish wavy hair is super rude. Sign says close at 9 and door locked at 815. Good thing dollar general is less than a mile away
4. the Studio Custom Tattoo/ Tattoos By SJ
Address: 003C, 725 00466, Atkins, AR 72823 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Wife and daughter had matching tats done. Their first. Great job! Great music! Great tat care instructions. Thanks, SJ!
Best experience! Highly recommend SJ. He completely knocked it out of the park.
Without knowing exactly what I wanted for a tattoo when I walked in, SJ talked to me and “got into” my head… after talking w him he came up with a tattoo for me that tells the story of my life ! Thank you so much !! I would definitely recommend this tattoo shop to anyone that wants a extraordinary tattoo!!
Tattoo faded within 2-4 weeks, like majorly faded then what any of my other tattoos have done. Plus it wasn’t near what I had asked for but I couldn’t say no because I already paid the deposit. This was a very important memorial tattoo. He also added some crazy stuff to the outside like dots and lines without my permission on the mock up. I get it’s his “tattoo style” but others don’t like that and I know a few who didn’t like it at all either and is very unhappy with their tattoo.
So my wife scheduled a tattoo about 3 weeks out. She put a deposit down. When she showed up to get the tattoo there was nobody there and when she called him he would not answer his phone. She drove over an hour to get to his shop. While she was there the landlord of the building said she hadn’t seen him in weeks and proceeded to change the locks on the door. He flat out stole $100 dollars from us and refuses to call us or refund our money. This man is criminal and a thief. Do not go here unless you want your money stolen from you.
5. Johnny’s Shop and Upholstery
Address: 1500 W Main St, Atkins, AR 72823 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Wonderful teachers very flexible schedules and I always feel at home being there!
Love the selection and staff here. Their selection of Aria classical guitars is lovely, and their prices are fantastic!!! Everyone whom I have had the pleasure of visiting with has always been a delight to talk with as well. Was first referred up here by Josh over at Hippie Palace. Stop in and check them out; you will be pleased you did
I’ve been by here twice to buy a guitar case and sign my kid up for lessons. First time they were closed (not a holiday) and the second time, they were open but no one was inside.
Arrived around 1:00p.m. and doors were locked but lights were on. Luckily there was a kitchen gear store across the hall with the sweetest ladies running it (seriously, give them a visit they’re so nice) killed about 30 minutes in there before waiting on the hall an additional 20. Dude showed up and unlocked the door, I got excited, then he turned off the lights and relocked the doors. I just wanted some guitar string and a string winder… So yeah, Valley Piano was great, just go there
7. Atkins Centennial Library
Address: 216 NE 1st St #4204, Atkins, AR 72823 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Small local library. Used microfilm machine to find newspaper articles. It doesn’t print but staff was very nice and helpful and let me email pictures from my phone to print. I was very glad to have that information. Thank you!
Great place to get movies and books.
Great selection, informative and friendly & engaging librarians. Well worth the time stopping by on a whim!
8. Joyful Noise Guitar Central
Address: 116 E Main St Suite 2, Clarksville, AR 72830 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
I went to Joyful Noise Guitar Center to buy a set of strings for my mandolin. I enjoyed visiting with Dolan, the store owner (who I’d never met before), and found we had interests in common. Not only did I get my mandolin strings, I also found a clip on tuner for it. Dolan was building a mandolin from a kit, something I never knew was available. I also checked out his catalog for harmonicas, something I plan to purchase in the future. Now that I’ve been there, Joyful Noise Guitar Center will be my go-to place for my musical needs.
very nice and helpful with everything
Super nice guy!
Was not open
9. RockTown Music
Address: 3411 Main St STE.4, Bryant, AR 72022 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Locally owned. Staff goes out of their way to accommodate. Great place!!
Prompt and friendly service. I brought in two guitars for a full setup and they had them working as good as new the same day. Excellent work!
Loved it
Nice, friendly environment. This guys is experienced in his craft and genuine in the way he conducts business. A rare find these days.
Great spot, super amount of knowledge and experience with repairs among other services. Same problem everybody else has with out of stock items here and there.
I took my 2001 Les Paul to Bryon and Dave in February 2019 for a basic set up. I bought it new and always stored it in the case and very rarely had it out. Very careful with it. The guitar only had one very small blemish on the front. When I got it back it had several deep dents on top edge close to the back and a couple dents in the back itself. They swear they did not damage it but I know for a fact it wasn’t damaged when I dropped it off. I had just polished it before I took it there. Bryon had promised it would be ready Saturday the 23RD and it was not. He then told me it would be ready the following Monday which it was. I’m not sure if they just got in a hurry or what exactly happened but they pointed to the paperwork stating they were not responsible for any damage…. Not a good way to run a business. I should have inspected it and made note of any defect with them before dropping it off. Lesson learned!!!
Dishonest and lazy. He has earned that distinction with me after implying that I attempt to make and sell a counterfeit guitar on the market. His boundaries are not clear. He should have refused the work order instead of hemming and hawing trying to teach me a lesson in trademark infringement. I also hired him to put Seymour Duncans in a Squire. When I called him for progress report he said he was “working on it now”. I go back 2 weeks later and the Seymour Duncans hadn’t even arrived yet. I have no trust in dishonest and lazy people. Oh, and Bryon, please dont call me about this post. If you’re a good luthier, I suggest you keep your nose in the workshop out of site from the customers.
After many attempts trying to visit this place because it has been closed. I finally went into the store today and found the guy Dave not to be very friendly or welcoming. So I only stayed a few minutes. I won’t ever be back!
Guy who owns/runs it is really friendly and cool. a better place to buy than Guitar Center
The best music store! Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the instruments. They have great prices. The best place for your musical needs.
My son bought his first guitar here. He loves the staff. They are very helpful and polite. He even takes guitar lessons there. Worth the drive from anywhere.
Nice enough folks. The store seens really bare compared to what it was like 2 years ago..
just went by there to by my sons xmas. There phone was disconnected and they werent open ehen we got there.
11. Arkansas School Band Service Inc
Address: 508 Lillian, Benton, AR 72015 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Great shop if you need to purchase or lease band equipment.
Great place
Lovely and very friendly staff. They are so welling and happy to help you with anything you need or may have questions about. Definitely recomend going here. Only reason didnt give them 5 stars, is some of the items/parts are pricey compared to online. But if you need it immediately or just cant find it online then go here. I’d also recommend comparing their price for what you need before making the decision. They have things on sale.
Very friendly staff!
Very nice place
The lady that works in here, is like you are bothering her when you come inside the store, like really? Anyways after coming back in to make a payment as my wife had forgotten to one time, she didn’t mind being nice once she knew she getting money. Flute is almost paid for, and will never come back if we need another item.
12. Independent Music Services Inc
Address: 9851 Brockington Rd #6, Sherwood, AR 72120 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
I wish I could give an amazing picture right now but they are working on an 80 year old Coronet. They are taking it on and if they do as great as last time I hope to start learning to play it.
Did excellent work on my old trombone, very nice people!
Very helpful and informative
I came in with a horn to have repairs done to it. I needed to have my saxophone’s neck recorked. I needed additional repairs, but above all needed the recorking. The repairman came up, looked at the instrument brand and said he could do nothing for me because if he broke something, he would have to make a part. I thanked him and walked out. I thought by the ratings that this would be a location with skilled craftsmen, but instead feel like it’s people prone to mistakes so they can only work on standard brands and not all instruments. I’d consider calling before coming. They are the only place around for quite a distance and driving over 60 miles to be treated like this felt very awful!
13. Arkansas Musicworks
Address: 2400 SE J St, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Wow! What an awesome place! I have been doing business with Arkansas Music Works since they started in a suite over on Hwy 102. The I always told the owner Greg he would grow and grow because of his fairness, his love for the satisfaction of his customers, and the care and concern to please! I read a couple of reviews that AAAAAAAAAAAAABSOLUTELY DOES NOT REFLECT on what and who this company is. Then there are the prices! When I shop in fayettville for reeds and or other music paraphernalia, the prices are significantly different. I always told Greg his fairness would reflect in his growth. People like to be treated fairly, and to feel special in their shopping experience. This is what you get at Arkansas Music Works. OH! Then there’s the knowledgeable staff! WHAT CAN I SAY! The only thing to make this place better, is to serve dinner! Lol!
Friendly and helpful
Great local music store. Knowledgeable staff, decent selection of music and instruments. And will order anything you need if they don’t have it in store.
Friendly staff.
Friendly staff, but the pricing has always been consistently to high.
Cool people always willing to lend a hand in any instrument they have available even of its online.
They have a large selection of guitars, which were looking to buy.
The salesman was friendly, informative and happy to answer all the newb questions I had.
He was so kind that I look forward to my next visit, and share my progress.
Selection was ok. Only 2 left handed guitars both strata, no lefty basses. Limited drum selection. Good selection of music books and accessories, though. Guy behind the counter (older dude named Tom) was a jerk both times I’ve been in there. Will not be going back
Do not honor trade in value. Poor customer service.
I had a very unpleasant experince with this place. My daughter’s saxophone needed to be fixed, so I took it to this store. Well almost 7 weeks passed and they never called me. When I called them to see if it was ready, they said it was ready. I went to pick it up just to learn that it was not fixed. They were very unpolite the whole time. They said it was fixed when I knew it wasn’t and there was no receipt/details of the work they “did” to it. So they game me a number to call. So I called the number, which is the place who they work with to fix the instruments in Fayatteville. They said they had no record of our instrument. So basically they never sent my daughters saxophone to them and they never called me to let me know what was going on. I understand sometimes things happen, but they basically never accepted they made a mistake. I was very polite with them, eventhough I was not happy about this whole situation. I will not be going to this place again, or reccomend it to anybody. And by the way, one of the owners, who has blonde/reddish hair, is one of the most inpolite person I ever met. We’ve been going to this place for years and if he is there, we know it’s not going to be good. He is rude and has poor customer service skills.

15. Renown Music
Address: 104 W F Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72116 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Hey! Just wanted to give a shout out to Brandon Toney of Renown Music in North Little Rock. Took my MusicMan Stingray to Brandon to do a set up. My bass came from the factory in virtually unplayable condition. Brandon was able to adjust the neck, bridge, pickup height, and intonation to put my bass into perfect playing condition with a set of new strings which I provided. And he did all this work in the space of one-hour! He thoroughly explained every adjustment he made on my bass. Brandon clearly has masterful skills when it comes to servicing guitars. And he’s a great guy! I was about ready to trade-in my MusicMan but now, after Brandon got his skillful hands on it, you couldn’t pry this bass out my clutches for any amount of money! It’s a keeper! I highly recommend Brandon to anyone in need of guitar repairs. Thanx Brandon for a job well done!
Brandon recently repaired the bridge pickup on my dad’s 70ish Gibson 345 Stereo. He also downsized the large 70ish head stock on my HSS Select Strat. I had contacted Fender to see if they could do the downsizing. They said l could send the guitar and they could put a new neck on, which l didnt want to do. I couldn’t have been been more satisfied with the work Brandon did. Thanks again
Took two acoustic guitars for some adjustments and am very pleased with the service they provided. Also very cost efficient! Will recommend to anyone I know in need of instrument repair or setup.
16. Music City
Address: 5121 Warden Rd Suite A1, North Little Rock, AR 72116 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Great place!!! I drove there all the way from Little Rock.
The people are very helpful and friendly
I’ve been regularly visiting Paul and his shop for the past couple of years. The guys are always super nice and they’ve got an awesome selection of great instruments. They carry essentials like strat-like guitars and acoustics but they always have some really unique stuff on the wall as well.
Great local music store. We have shopped here for years.
Not to bad
Good place to buy guitars, don’t ask them to fix anything you own uness you want it damaged.
Rude
18. Atkins Hardware
Address: 605 N Church St, Atkins, AR 72823 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
I don’t hate it but, it is never open… I’ve got to shop there 1 time and it had a great selection and friendly service… I would love to know their hours of service or if they are still in business.
19. Olsen’s Music Center
Address: 112 N Commerce Ave, Russellville, AR 72801 , Atkins , Arkansas , United States
Kind of tight getting into even bobtail, but definitely worth the effort. Got the old six string restrung for a song and dance and traded a Boss RC3 for a better looper and feel like we both made a good deal.
Only regret was when I got home tonight I found the box and paperwork for the looper I traded, now I’ll feel like a scoundrel until I can get this to them.
This is why mean people will always lose out, they leave no incentive for others to do what’s right.
I love places like this, and definitely got the vibe it’s a family business…
Best wishes and God bless, I’ll definitely be back!
I always shop here when we visit Russellville.
Awesome people as always! My friend and I took some time to make sure we were getting the right guitar and amp before making a big purchase. I was able to get a nice Peavey amp and an Ibanez semi-hollow body guitar. He was patient enough to work with me for an hour to make sure I got the best setup for what I wanted. I was also able to get 2 pedals that is going to work great with the purchase. We did forgot to get one but I will definitely go back there to purchase the other pedal.
My mom needed something
Good selection lots of stuff main problem was looking to get a piano but not that big a deal.
Good selection
Stood in Olsen’s music store patiently waiting for the guy working alone that’s been “covered up” to hook up an amp for 2 guys there before me. Walked by me to get a guitar to hook up while I was standing at the counter ready to check out. He then sits down and plays for them. REALLY!!! 15 minutes later I walk over to put the $100 item back and I kid you not he then says, ” are you ready”. Man, I’ve been ready for 15 minutes. I’m the only paying customer in the store, because I can assure you the two guys you’re having to demonstrate the guitar and amp for aren’t buying JACK! They’re draining your time and your money. Time management is not rocket science!
Not a real music store
Terrible customer service! So glad i took my money elsewhere! I told the obvious manager or owner that i was new at guitars but was excited to get something to start off with AND the first thing he recommended was the MOST EXPENSIVE ONE! Thats like someone going to buy their first car and the car salesman recommends a Ferrari..! All.about the money and NOTHING about the customer. Didnt offer to let me hear a certain one and was standing so close the whole time without really showing an insterest in what type of music i play or listen to… ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!! Never again!
