Cadence Music was very helpful in helping me with deciding on a digital piano! I purchased the DGX-670B. Todd the owner was even kind enough to deliver the product to me since I had no way of transporting it. Highly recommend going to them, especially if you are looking for friendly help 🙂
Cadence music is the most professional music store in SWFL. They always have what you need and more and have all of the knowledge to help; from a beginner to professional.
Todd and the rest of the employees at Cadence were extremely helpful when my son and I went in to purchase a trombone for high school. He worked with my son trying out 3 different trombones to find the best one for him. We will be back soon to repeat this process for my other son who plays the flute. Thanks for your help!
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument

Being at Guitar Center reminded me of the good days at the store when I was a child. But the store is far from what it once was. Low variety in general, I did not see any drum kits outside, poor descriptions in the instrument tags (key information missing), staff was friendly but not knowledgeable on the topics we needed to understand, etc.
I was there a few days ago, the store has lots of guitars, problem is, many are our of reach ie: way high on the wall.
Difficult to see maker, price etc. Also not many seats to sit down and try the instruments.
It’s always got what I need in a pinch when other local places are out of stock. Some good guys in the audio department that know their stuff.
Worst guitar center I have ever been to. Service is beyond slow. Waited over an hour for help. This happened more than once.
Was here with my husband on a Sunday. Waited in line forever. That was fine. The couple in front of us decided to leave the keyboard department and go wait in the line up front. Meanwhile another boy got in line behind us. We finally got checked out and were about to leave when the couple that was in front of us earlier decide to come back and cut in front of the kid behind us and begin yelling at him that they were in front of him before they decided to leave. I was livid at this point. You don’t get to leave the line and then come back later and cut off whoever you want. Shame on the employee that allowed this to happen. Very crappy customer service. The couple is just lucky I’m not the person they cut off.
The worst experience….. I orderd a product from there site got an emeal it was there I get there they say theres your ups box ok have a good day ? I say lets open it i want to make shure everyhing is right we open it.. Its missing all the wirecables its scratched its missing control knobs They apologized say say its not there fualt they would order another. I wait another 5 days they promised this will be a new one finally gets here biggest let down the same sht strate up bullshit i got my refund i dont have time for this. They have a prity decent inventory in store i wouldnt recommend anybody to order anything from there site . And if your looking for somthing specific I would get as much as information as I could before going into there store there very snobbish kno it all one guy will tell you somthing another will tell you complete opposite? Never doing business with thses guys agian

went for an amp repair and it was great. great staff customer service and of course they fixed my amp so 10/10
I give Mr. Music, Metro Pkwy.Ft.Myers 5 stars for several reasons.I’ve been in past years dealt with several other music stores for myself and 2 school aged children that both play horns, I play guitar and from experiance Mr. Music’s always a pleasant experience with music lessons, staff, repairs, fair pricing, and professionalism.
Shout out to Dave and Bob at Mr Music in Ft Myers. Spent Christmas at father in law’s in Bonita Springs. We were looking for a case/bag for our son’s banjo. I called left message at Mr Music. Got a call back from Bob in a few minutes and he informed me that he was pretty sure that they had a bag and that Dave would be in shortly and call to confirm. Got a call from Dave about a half hour later said he had two bags. My wife and I found the store easily and Dave had the bag waiting. The store had every kind of Instrument. String, brass, woodwind, percussion and accordions. Dave’s family has a long and famous history as accordion playing. After a great conversation about accordion players and music in general, we decided to look around and ended up getting an electric tenor ukulele for one of our daughters. A nice wooden percussion set for another daughter and a stand and banjo lessons for our son. Mr Music offers lessons for any kind of instrument, seven days a week! I’d just like to add that I’ve been a musician for over thirty years. I’ve been to a lot of music stores across the country and Mr Music is certainly at the top of my list. I would highly recommend Mr Music for any of your music needs. From sales and service to lessons Mr Music has the experience and expertise for all your music needs. Thanks again to Bob and Dave, and we hope to see you next time we’re in Ft Myers.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Came to Ft Myers for an 8 day vacation – My brother has lived in Lee County for 30+ yrs & I have a winter home in Cape Coral. I Researched online for a local music store that would rent an acoustic guitar. (( I just started learning to play the guitar a year ago at age 58 and I thought it’d be nice to do some practicing while in Fla.)) All indications were that Mr Music was the place to go. My brother was going to rent it as web site states they only rent to Lee County residents. They (Mr Music) seemed unprepared for someone coming in off the street wanting to rent an acoustic guitar. The young man that was on duty at the store was Very Nice and I felt bad for him after he got on the phone with someone who told him that I would have to come back several hours later that afternoon (I had plans and late afternoon traffic in Lee County is crazy ) or I could come back 2 days later. I could tell he was embarrassed and as said earlier I felt bad for him. Needless to say, I left w\out a rental guitar. Wm. Griffin \ Lexington Ky.
Nice Place but very pricey… A lot of things you can get on Amazon for way cheaper.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.

Amazing store! Great inventory + awesome staff. Just had the record-store experience of my life here. Cant wait to come back
Ralph and Monty are Knowledgeable and offer great selection for hard to find collectables music comics and so much more.
Love this location. I have not been back in 10 years, since moving to Orlando, but he has tons of vinyl records, a bunch of DC & MARVEL action figures from the 90s and early 2000s. Cassette tapes and statues on sale as well. Ralph is always welcoming and cool as hell. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Huge selection. Not enough space for everything. The people were very nice! It’s hard to find good customer service now-a-days.
Awesome finds here!!
Tons of vintage records & comics.
The owner is a liar and a cheat
As a vinyl collector for nearly 50 years I’m always on the hunt every time I travel for stores. Out of a half dozen or so in the Ft. Meyers area I decided on this one. Lots of interesting pieces here. Lots of things I would have been interested in buying, but quite a few were well above market prices. Probably explains why a lot of it was still there. The place is so packed it’s actually damaging some of the sleeves. It is a great dig. When you dig you stand a fair chance of coming up with some in market range. I did walk out with 5 that were definitely unique and within market prices. The ridiculously uncomfortable conditions make it difficult to spend more than 30 minutes in there. I occasionally will spend upwards of 4 hrs or more on a good dig. Couldn’t do that here Finally, he uses price stickers attached directly to the sleeves. Not the easy to remove ones either. Cheap ones that damage even the best coated sleeves. This is a showstopper especially at some of these prices. If you want me to pay top dollar I want an absolutely pristine product. Not something that the art has been married by dime store price stickers. It would be worth going back but there are a lot of other places to explore.
Crowded… Nothing has prices…he looks stuff up on ebay before selling… Ebay isn’t a reliable source!!
12. Jay & Kay’s Organ & Piano Co.
Address: 1400 Colonial Blvd Ste 1B, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Fort Myers , Florida , United States
We purchased our Baby Grand from J&K in 2006. We traded in an old upright towards it. They were kind & fair. Fast forward 11 years… I was relocating to Arizona & the piano would not fit in the truck. Jay may not have known it when I called him to ask for piano mover referrals, but I was holding back tears. My three Sons played on that piano for years & I couldn’t imagine leaving it behind. Everytime I looked at it I saw them & the most incredible memories came rushing in. Long story short, Jay offered a consigning option but when I finally found a reasonable quote, Jay provided peace of mind by assuring me they were reputable company. Jay took time to listen & guide (he had to access his DOS computer), to locate our purchase record! He went out of his way to help me, service that is missing today in most industries but that drives loyalty. If you need a piano, please go to J & K Piano, you will not be disappointed and 11 years later they will remember you!
Wonderful experience. Nice selection of Roland keyboards and pianos. Jay is very knowledgeable and I’m thrilled with my purchase. I highly recommend them.
Good people. Knowledgeable. Family operation. Competitive pricing. Kind & helpful.
That does it for me. Highly recommended!
Shopping at Jay and Kay’s is always a pleasure.
This is more of a music school than a music store if that makes sense. Sure, there is some sheet music and instruments for sale, but it’s obvious that they are for the student teacher relationship. The staff guy was pretty nice to me and I got a good vibe of the place though, just not really my cup of tea
Great people very helpful highly recommended
I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time
Sadly to say I wanted to buy in my local neighborhood. Support the local businesses after the Covid 19 destruction.
I personally left their business card on the counter and had wrote a note on the back asking them to call me with my phone number on it. Crickets !!!

Was searching for a Christmas gift for my brother in law who was thinking about getting into guitar. The staff was super friendly and helped me find the perfect fit for him. I will be checking their inventory next time I’m looking for a new guitar.
I’ve been taking drum lessons from TR Music and Voice lessons for just over a year and my skills have greatly improved. My educator is continuously pushing me to get to my maximum capacity and I value their devotion!
My 6 year old is in piano and our 3 year old will be starting violin soon. Highly recommended for those serious in development and instruction for Sight reading and learning instruments. Robinson phenomenal with our son.
I sceduled a guitar lesson for my 6 years old son and right after my payment went thru I started receiving text messages welcoming and promising the best experience ever… Was told my trainer would contact me 2 or 3 days in advance and tell me the location( that never happened), instead I received a voice mail 1 day before my appointment from someone called Megan saying my instructor wasn’t able to meet us but to call her back to accomodate our appointment to someone else. They sent a list of other instructors after my appointment day had passed. I see this people are not organized at all, all they want is to take your money and walk away. They never offered me a refund of my money or tried to at least make it on time. If I could give them 0 stars I would do it. Definitely no recommending to anyone.
You guys need to book Vre for your next event. I promise you, she won’t disappoint! Her stage performance is impeccable and her voice is heaven sent. This girl have it going on. Lol itssssss vreeeeee!
Beautiful heart and a matching voice! I recommend Vre for any special occasion!
She has great musical talent! I really do greatly recommend her for people who enjoy fantastic music.
16. Joe’s Record Exchange
Address: 2439 First St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Fort Myers , Florida , United States
Fantastic selection and great prices. I found a lot of stuff that I couldn’t find anywhere else.
Great store, lots of selection, well organized
Joe is a really good guy, he has a good selection of records and CD’s at least for my taste. I visit him like twice a month.
Lots of records, but the store looks unfinished. Slightly on the expensive side.
A fun place to look for cool songs on Vinyl.
Great place to find very clean and well-taken care of records. All of his records are VG+ to near mint quality. Owners are friendly and very informative of their inventory. I found a VG++ copy of “I Walk the Line” by Johnny Cash on an original Sun Records 45. You’ll find many 45’s organized by categories. Fair prices for quality Beatles 45’s too when in stock. Great selection of LP’s too.
Owner will play your records to verify sound quality, which is a huge plus before purchasing, but seemed hesitant to do so on a recent visit as to not interrupt a record they were playing, hence the four stars. Some records may look near-mint but sound distorted, due to wear and styrene issues. Always have your records played before you buy them, just in case.
No masks, no social distancing.
worst place ever. If I could leave zero stars I would. Don’t waste your time here.
17. Fort Myers School of Music
Address: 1400 Colonial Blvd #260, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Fort Myers , Florida , United States
I have been taking lessons since July, 2017 with Kay and enjoy every lesson. She is patient, fair and a delightful person! I’m surprised
at what I have been able to learn and highly recommend adult lessons.
Fort Myers School of Music is great place to learn music and instruments.
We have had 5 lessons so far and 2/5 the instructor has called out. The very first lesson they didn’t even let us know until we were already there.
Firstly, my complaint isn’t about my instructor. Steve has been fantastic from day one; he’s extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. I stuck with this school as long as I could because of him, and it’s hard to leave for that reason.
Be prepared, DON’T miss a lesson. They won’t reschedule and you’ll still have to pay for that week. You can go to a group meeting to make up, but you’re paying for a private lesson; makes perfect sense.
BE AWARE, they remind you of your first renewal, and then renew your lessons without as much as a heads up.
DON’T call with ANY complaints or questions; they don’t seem to care. They just remind you of the paperwork you signed, that they hardly explained (and what they did explain, they were very vague). You won’t get anything but a nasty reply. I had called to inform them I wanted to cancel my lessons while I was out of town for the next few weeks (being I didn’t want to pay for them and not be there) and the only thing they could say was “well, aren’t you doing them online?”
Great professors, not so much with the front desk staff. I will truly miss working with Steve.
Was interested in taking lessons. The location & pricing were good for me. Perhaps the instructors are great, but we will never know as the person who answers the phone is really not a good representative of the business and is losing you customers. Almost sounded like a 14yo girl who didn’t know the answers to any questions, didn’t understand why you would want to know a little about the teacher u were selecting…just there so the phone stops ringing. So annoying as I really wanted to try this place out. Giving a 2nd star for at least there being a website & someone answering the phone.
18. Sound Check Studios
Address: 1635 Jackson St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Fort Myers , Florida , United States
Got the opportunity to record here today it was an awesome experience. The engineer I worked with Matt was very easy going and professional. Great vibes great studio.
No complaints best quality studio, and highly recommended
The owner Jim Becker was entrusted with my masters, but destroyed my tapes and over 30 completed recordings. Avoid this studio for your own good.

Awesome place and the owner Liz definitely took care of my request! Definitely going to be a frequent visitor!
THE place to go. That’s all.
You guys kick some royal yuppie booties! I’m coming in today to see if you can make my dreams come true. Thanks for the sticker, jello lives in imfamy
Excited for what this local vinyl spot will become. They are working on increasing inventory at the moment. Had a nice conversation with the owner, Liz. Friendly chill environment. Wide musical options – jazz, heavy, hip hop, alternative, rock, soft. They’ve been open for a few weeks now. They have a listening station to check out used vinyl quality before buying which I really appreciate. New/used and a bargin $2.99 bin. From what I looked at the grading of used vinyl is in line. Also some 8-track and cassette items for purchase. She is reviewing and purchasing collections by appointment at the moment and was interested in my “want list” should she come across it. Picked up a Wu-Tang (forever), Tribe and OXO vinyl. Thanks, Liz!!!
They were out of stickers. She’s getting more in and she promised to set some aside for me.
20. The Fort Studios

The entire team at the fort are incredible to work with. The final production product is always beyond expectations and delivery is prompt and professional
Had a GREAT time recording a new song the other day. The production n mix were excellent. The team is knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. The studio is fantastic. I’d highly recommend The Fort Studios.
