Kenny is a great dude and the consumate shopkeep. A nice selection of equipment. He always seems to have something that I am looking for.
If you live near Onstage Music you need to bring your business here. Kenny set up my Martin perfectly, made my first experience feel like the 100th, and even let me play his Martin D18.
Love the small Ma and Pa type shops. Have been coming to onstage for many years when Bill owned it….I thought he was out of business for a long time then realized he moved literally ½ mile up ridge road from us. I brought the new owner my newest guitar for an initial setup and intonation. He seems very genuine and a pleasure to deal with. Will be updating this when I get the guitar back..but I am confident he is going to do a great job on my Epiphone Nighthawk Custom reissue….a rare hard to find gem!!!
The previous owner Bill treated his customers like family until he sold his shop to a bunch of crooks, I needed the new owner Kenny to put new strings on my guitar and he could not even do that right because my strings broke one after the other and when I asked him to restring the guitar he ordered that I’d have to pay him for the strings again and re-installation and when I asked for a refund he said “Absolutely not, because this would’ve never happened with any of my other customers” I asked “why are you doing this?” And he replied “what are you going to do about it?”
Music is always amazing, and the products they have looks better in person. The material of the shirts and hoodies are soft. Definitely recommend buying and listening to their stuff.
dope tune
Great Company work for them designing applications and they are a great team and design quality games and music etc…
5. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 2746 Wood Pointe Dr, Holiday, FL 34691 , Beacon Square , Florida , United States
Stopped by here for some drum accessories and to my surprise, they had everything I was looking for! Great family business and a hell of a lot closer than guitar center! I will be using this shop for my needs.. the customer service is great! Plus its supporting local business! Thanks guys and we will see you again!
Welcoming space for engaging with Latin drumming. Instructor, Juan, is very talented and engages all participants from beginners to advanced musicians. Instructor makes class interesting by integrating fun and historical facts about the music. Highly recommend
Since starting piano lessons with my instructor, I have noticed a big improvement in my confidence levels. I used to feel like I was stumbling through my playing, but now I have the skills and the self-assurance to play with ease.
I really love the vibe of this store! The owner of the store really knows his way around music, and talking to him is engaging and interesting. I am definitely planning on coming back.
This place is fantastic. Yes I’m sure all the reviews are true. It’s just that type of place. But it a honestly great and worthy the drive. Just mind you matter and you’ll be good.
The owner Patrick is freindly and knowledgeable of all types of music. Every time we go in we always find a great selection to pick through. My record collection has definitely grown from this store.
Fair
Great selection. Prices seem to run higher than other record shops and online but maybe for haggling purposes. Wish him success but kind of out of the way of anything
My daughter Zoey and I had been coming for a long time. At least once a week. It was the one thing my daughter and I really looked for to going to. Patrick the owner was really nice and always gave us a discount. I showed up today and immediately I was confronted by Patrick in the parkinglot and told me that I was no longer welcome here and told me that he didn’t have to give me a reason why. This really upset my daughter to tears. Not knowing what we did wrong. Looks like I’m I’ll be taking my business else where. I think for being a long time customer, he could at least told me why. I never did anything wrong to him. was nothing but nice to him. Just so you know Patrick, Zoey literally crying in the car and myself . She really enjoyed going to your store. Your business is not going to last long when you treat your long time customer like this.and I will not take down this review till you tell me why you kick me and my daughter out of your store
There’s not many vinyl resale stores around in the area here, so I went to check it out and didn’t check the reviews first–I wish I had.
First things first, the place has a stench, think wet basement. Whatever, some people don’t like to clean. The old man asked if I needed help looking for something, but was just browsing for some old stones material, which was nice.
But, a few other people came into the store after me and he asked the same question and the lady obliged, so I wasn’t paying any more attention until I hear their voices get louder and his hand motions. I doubt this seemingly sweet older gal offended him in a way to behave how he was. He did make some smart remarks so that could have done it.
Now that I decided to look at reviews from other customers and was not surprised. This man has some screws loose and an attitude problem. Just reading the response to poor reviews by unsatisfied customers paints the rest of the picture.
I won’t go back anyway, but just beware future customers, this guy is unstable. Bring hand sanitizer as well.
After being a customer to Patrick for around 2 years, I’m upset to be writing this review, but I cannot recommend the store to anyone who is planning on being a loyal customer anymore. Today, after not being in the store for about 2 months, I received a phone call from Patrick, in which he told me that I was no longer welcomed in the store. I have brought Patrick thousands of dollars in business between myself and my friends, and have been nothing but honest for my entire allegiance to the store, so it pains and downright confuses me to have been banned for no reason. I hope you can reconsider your choice, as whatever you may think I have done to warrant this, I have NOT. The fact that you will not have a dialogue with me explaining what I have done further proves this. Reading more reviews, it seems as this is a common occurrence. Its truly a shame as the store is very enjoyable to shop at and Patrick is knowledgeable, easy going, and throws deals often, however, if you plan to be a loyal customer as I once was, prepare for disappointment.
10. Music Matters
Address: 4112 Little Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34655 , Beacon Square , Florida , United States
I’ve been coming in here for a few years now, always good to stop by.
Finally got up the nerve to turn in my 73 Tele for refret which it really needed. The guitar tech is awesome. He did a fantastic job.
It’s great to have a local place around. Met the owner a couple years ago and he was super cool.
Great choice of required masked even with vaccine, has great options, highly recommend
More of a place for music lessons than a music shop, but does include a variety of guitar equipment although a bit pricey. The cashier wasn’t too personable, however a friendly and knowledgeable gentleman (could have been an instructor or owner) helped me choose the best pick for my guitar.
Edit: Owner offers whole string change for free. 1 star to 3 stars.
They charged me 5 DOLLARS for one guitar string change. My E string broke and they previously replaced it for free so I bought a pick holder for my guitar. So I came back, and thought I might buy some picks or something if they did it for free or for cheap again, but then the guy at the counter says it would cost 5 whole dollars, 2 for the string, 3 for tuning and setup. The tuning and setup took 30 seconds.
Go somewhere else for string changes or learn it yourself. That’s what I’ll be doing.
Great Instructors. No pressure, ample space and knowledgeable staff! Great place for lessons!
Visited the store for the first time today. I was interested in buying a Boss pedal, which they seemed to have a good selection of. I was in the store for over ten minutes with just one other customer and no one even said hello. The person behing the counter had even made eye contact with me more than once before going about his business each time. At one point, I had even stood directly in front of him, but he continued to ignore me. I don’t forsee this store being open long with such terrible customer service.
Very overpriced. Music matters is a very stuck up environment and they treat their customers like imbeciles. We won’t be back here.
I signed up for a “free” music lesson last week. I was told the instrument would be provided for me and all I needed to do was provide a deposit and make an appointment. The first gentleman, who helped me was a bit rude. He told me the deposit was $27, the second gentlemen who cashed me out only asked for $10 deposit.
Upon arrival on the date of appointment there seemed to be a lot of confusion about times and appointments between the instructors and other students. I stood there for few minutes before anyone greeted me.
Finally, one of the instructors very aggressively asked “What do you need help with?” I told him I had a 3:30 appointment for lessons and he explained that I needed an instrument or I needed to sign up for the instrument rental program. That was completely different story than what I was told when I signed up for the lesson!
Something fishy is going on here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional experience.
11. Tarpon Strings Music Company
Address: 600 Athens St, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 , Beacon Square , Florida , United States
What a great shop for seasoned and aspiring musicians. The owners’ passion takes it to a whole other level.
It’s so awesome to have a music store in Tarpon Springs! Great customer service from the owners. Had a fantastic time at the show during the cinco de Mayo event. Seeing a bunch of local musicians doing their thing and having fun was the best part of my day! Will be back for sure!
Thanks for the hospitality and good times!
Jeff
Mobius Loop
Left a guitar here 2.5 weeks ago for a setup, still haven’t gotten a call about it; hasn’t returned my calls, every time I visit in person the store is closed and I’m beginning to think I’ve been robbed.
12. Jonee Zees Treasures
Address: 2632 US-19, Holiday, FL 34691 , Beacon Square , Florida , United States
This was definitely a great experience for me and the kids there is such a variety of collectibles here also. My kids found a few comics they wanted and it was very reasonably priced. If you are looking for that u unique find you need to stop by
I absolutely love this place! I love the customer service and the set up! I love how a lot of things are from the 80s and 90s for me it was a very pleasant and nostalgic experience!
A cool place for your uncle who’s stuck in the 80s but they need more stuff that modern generations like. The comic selection was very underwhelming with the only comics being the ones that are 10 or 20 for a dollar at most other shops. Has potential but needs alot of work.
13. Mullins Music
Address: 5736 Missouri Ave, New Port Richey, FL 34652 , Beacon Square , Florida , United States
A stellar group of people that not only are top notch musicians, but are some of the most dedicated educators and instructors that I have ever been around. They are highly engaged in the community and have a real passion for bringing music and the arts to the next generation. They are so much more than just another music school – and when you sign up and experience it for yourself you will know exactly what I mean. Cannot recommend Mullins Music ENOUGH – whether you sign up for lessons for yourself or your kiddos, they will blow away your expectations.
Our son had a wonderful time at “Rock Week,” and I think we’ve found our new home for music in the area (we’re relatively new transplants). It wasn’t just about the music – it provided the kids with a really good experience in working together to make an event happen. Great relationships forged.
My daughter looks forward to being a part of Rock Week every summer. This past RW was her 3rd year and she is already looking forward to the next one. She keeps the rocking going at Rock Studio every summer as well. As far as we are concerned the two go hand-in-hand. Thank you Mullins Music for the amazing experience every year. Thank you for the confidence you have encouraged in my daughter. We are moving out of the area this school year, but we will definitely be coming back for RW and RS next summer! Mullins Music ROCKS!!
14. Gold Mine Pawn
Address: 3752 US-19, New Port Richey, FL 34652 , Beacon Square , Florida , United States
This pawn shop is great. As soon as i walked thru the door i felt welcomed and comfortable. I visit many pawn shops and this one is different. The owners are good christian people who actually care about their customers.

Worked with Cathie and she is great. Used Gold Mine Pawn as a FFL and she contacted me once my item arrived. She has a great personality and was a pleasure to work with. I will surely use them in the future.

I have been using Stellar reeds for 4 years now, and they are awesome! I’ve never had reeds that work with my instruments so perfectly! I even start my private students on Stellar reeds! Truly the best reeds out there! Thanks, Stellar!!!
Stellar reeds are amazing! They are always of high quality and are extremely dependable. They have improved the way I approach playing the oboe, allowing me to produce a better sound than I could have ever imagined. I also greatly appreciate the selection of other products available, including swabs and reed making items. Stellar oboe products has everything I need to enjoy making music!
Need dependable, beautiful sounding reeds for you or your students? Look no further. I’ve been using them for 25+ years. Many other great oboe products, too!
17. Clay’s Guitar Shop
Address: 38874 US Hwy 19 N, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 , Beacon Square , Florida , United States
Really nice local music store, specializing in quality used guitars. If you are looking for a guitar, this is the place to go!
Can’t say enough about Clay’s! Clay is the best! His guitar shop is a hidden gem in Tarpon. He is honest, fair and has Clay-a-way! Always has a great selection but things seem to go fast so if you see something grab it or someone else will. In addition to guitars, basses and amps, he has the coolest selection of collectables from days of yore. Stop in and check him out!
Knowledgeable and honest experience. Will be back again.
Awesome place. I purchased a used looper. I think ..alittle pricy on used equipment. The salesman Joel was great .
Friendly folks! Lots of stuff including memorabilia from way back when.
Great! Always feel right at home with clay in all his amazing vintage collectibles
Rude owner. Poor selection of low end over priced acoustic guitars.
Not impressed. Low inventory and old equipment. Junk
I brought my Martin acoustic guitar in for a new input jack. Typically an easy fix. He took one look at it and refused to work on it. Mumbled something about Martin guitars. Very disappointing. I took my guitar to Guitar Repair of Tampa Bay and they had it fixed in 30 minutes. Should’ve just gone there in the first place and not wasted my time at Clay’s. I won’t make that mistake again. If you have a Martin guitar, don’t even bother.
My 1924 BAUER grand piano has never sounded as good or performed as well … I recommend SOUNDCRAFT PIANO.
My son in law plays beautifully but hadn’t played in years because the piano he had was so out of tune. i had called a couple of other tuners who made appts and didn’t show up. Then I called Don. he made arrangements immediately and was at my son in law’s house 2 days later. and what a fantastic job he did on a piano that BADLY needed the attention of a true professional. We are all grateful for Don’s expertise and professionalism.
My regular piano tuner was not a technician. My 75 year old Chickering had a few sound issues and I was prepared to spend too much money on an old, but loved, instrument. Don immersed himself in the project and was able to pin point and rectify the issue in a couple of hours. His price was more than fair, and considerably less than I had anticipated. Don is a real gentleman and truly loves what he does. He receives my highest endorsement.
Tune?
