Love this store. Employee’s always willing to help you out.
Small.. cluttered, disjointed and somewhat chaotic.. just what I LOVE about this little local Fairhope music store! Kim is helpful, kind and generous. Wealth of knowledge and generous. We talked guitar strings vs types of guitars and body shapes.. and her recommendations were spot on. Don’t judge a book by its cover! This shop is your go to and if Kim can help you out she will go the distance. Something missing in many places today. A local gem. Support local and be surprised! Oh and the prices are competitive and reasonable as any!
Kim is amazing. Just full of knowledge and character. You feel welcome when you walk in, and no question is too stupid to ask. Cause I ask a lot of them. I’m a repeat customer and will be for years to come.
Very kind, stocked, but you will pay double what you will online.
3. Bailey Brothers Music Company
Address: 4673 US-280 Suite # 7, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Belém , Alabama , United States
Bought a Takamine in the Montgomery BBM store 1995, and recently had some fret work. It plays like new.
Thanks Clay, for the great customer service, and putting me on a guitar to suit my playing needs
It was my first time in here recently and I had a pleasant experience. David made sure I felt welcomed and was very helpful in answering any questions I had. Overall they have a great selection and friendly staff.
Super nice store full of super helpful people. I visited this location three times in one day, as I was undecided and trying to deal with the idiots at Guitar Center, and each time, a really nice gentleman, Erskine, helped me. He went back, spent the time finding the guitar I was after, took it out of the box even when I wasn’t for sure on buying it, and tuned it for me. Ultimately, his attitude, kindness, and knowledge was what sold me on my guitar. After the run around at Guitar Center, he was just what I needed. Thank you so much!
It was my first time in the store and I had an excellent experience. David was very helpful and friendly as well as the other staff present. The online site lacks a lot of the guitars they have in stock because they get new guitars a lot so I would advise actually going into the store to see their wide selection.
Helpful and kind! Will be back to see them soon.
Great customer service. Great selection. However, I was NOT thrilled to see their logo custom printed onto the snare head I bought. Would have received 5 stars if not for that. Going to remove it with some acetone.
manager and owner very racist!
I came in here the other day and they were incredibly overbearing and checked in on me every 30 seconds. From the second I walked in they were all up in my face and insisted on providing an address and phone number whenever I paid which I fully expect to be sold somewhere. I don’t know if they’re struggling to keep the lights on or something but the amount of customer service was way too much and came across as pushy and rude. Literally just let me shop.
I explained to them thoroughly what I needed and they sold me the opposite! It all about sells and f**k the customers needs! Stay away from the southside location!
4. Art’s Music Shop, Inc
Address: 4647 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Belém , Alabama , United States
Art’s is a lovely music store with a huge selection, and everything they had in stock was very high quality! Jay, Taylor, and Stan were very helpful and very hospitable; the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming!
Repair shop – especially the woodwind tech, Brian, since I’m a sax player – are fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the workings of the instrument and willing to work with you on modifications. I’ve taken several saxophones for full overhauls and they are lightyears better than before. Even when I move I will try and get work done here if I can.
Great place to go.Got my new clasical guitar there.
Wonderful customer service
Attended a Breedlove Guitar Showcase. Art’s Music Shop in-store acoustic guitar lineup includes Breedlove, Michael Kelly, and Yamaha.
Good. place to shop for all your. music. needs.
Arts is overpriced.
High pressure sales tactics on major purchases. Uncomfortable atmosphere throughout the store, once you state that you might not be purchasing item that day you might as well be dead to them. Stuck up to say the least. Support other businesses if at all possible.
BEWARE!!!!! ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. My son was suppose to attend a camp. I rented the merchandise on May 31. Was told he would not be able to attend. Called the shop back June 2 explaining how he would not be able to attend. They would not let me speak with management. Took the merchandise back to the shop on June 3. The staff stated that I could not return unless I pay the minimum rental fee of 4 months before I returned. The instrument was never used or open. Brought back in 4 days and still received poor service. I will not be referring this music shop to any parents. Now I’m out of thousands of dollars and my child hasn’t even touched the instrument.
5. B&C Music
Address: 314C Billy B Dyar Blvd, Boaz, AL 35957 , Belém , Alabama , United States
Over priced. Only good if you need to grab a pack of strings or something small last minute.
Eeeeh
Nice folks
I felt watched and rushed. Two women were working there that day, one was very friendly. I did not feel comfortable asking questions and also it was so hot in there.
The people are not friendly, the merchandise is overpriced, some equipment is not even new (and it is damaged) although they don’t disclose that information, and getting around in a wheelchair is next to impossible. The lady at the register didn’t know anything about the equipment. It is definitely worth the drive to go somewhere else.
this place is burnt!
6. Andy’s Music
Address: 1412 Hillcrest Rd, Mobile, AL 36695 , Belém , Alabama , United States
I recieved the best service. I was met quickly and helped right away. Items were ordered that I needed and I was also referred to a Piano tuner for future reference. Over all I had a lovely experience and the staff were more than help and so nice and knowledgeable.
Was searching for some products for my little siblings class and found them at Andy’s ordered online and was shipped fast and packaged well. Will order from them once needed.
They shipped quickly and the books were in perfect condition! (They were also cheaper than Amazon!)
Good product…shipping packaging sucks USPS destroyed the packaging and this is the third baton I ordered. Somehow they keep survive the beating…
Good folks who work at the store. Great customer service and always willing to help take care of your musical and instrument needs. Prices are pretty fair as well!!
Helpful and freindly
Good for guitar strings that’s about it
Terrible place to do business. Failed promises and wasted time. Not willing to negotiate. Will not answer questions directly and instead will offer you a service plan. My daughter brought her clarinet in multiple times and they said nothing wrong with it. Today they said it has needed regulated for over 6 months. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They are only in it for the money.
Previously, when my daughter brought the clarinet in to be looked at for the continuing problem, we were going to buy a new clarinet when they offered no interest for 6 mos. financing. The associate told me to go to the website and I wasted about 45 minutes worth of time to find out they required over 20% interest, to the tune of well over $300. When I asked the associate why what they told me was false, I was told they have no control over what happens on the website with the financing.
Contrary to the response given to this review, none of what was offered here was mentioned in the phone call. The clarinet was brought in and told nothing wrong with it. I went to another music store and had my daughter buy a professional clarinet for not much more than Andy’s wanted for the Intermediate.
I specifically asked in my phone call if there are any incentives offered and was flat told no.
The response by the owner is crafted to make you think they are great at service by mentioning the rental and the last service time, but if they were really that great, they would know that the clarinet is currently in their shop for regulation. If it has only been 6 mos. since it was serviced and there is a problem with it where it has been brought in at least twice to be looked at since then, why was I told today on the phone that it has needed a regulation for 6 mos?
I now know there is another option in MS and should it still not work when we get it back, it will go there. Yes, in the past we have done business with Andy’s as they hinted at in their response, but when we are done with Andy’s, I will be extremely happy.
Felt like I was not wanted in the store also I felt like I was being judged on my appearance the hole time.

Great customer service and friendly staff! Would recommend to anyone.
Love this store. LANCE is a real lover of music and ot shows. It’s nice to have a place that doesn’t feel soulless and corporate. If you’re in the tri County and looking for instruments, advice, gift ideas. Try here!
Love it…. Great service & great people
Lance and Tracy are nice folks. They have a good selection of strings and accessories. Neat place for obscure instruments.

Address: 3030 Eastern Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36116 , Belém , Alabama , United States
I appreciate being able to look at music options in person rather tha on-line.
Great place for all of your music needs!
The level of customer service you receive really depends on who you speak to at the company. Some do not understand customer service while others go above and beyond to help you out.
Friendly staff.
Good place to buy musical instruments.
Very rude and laughing….you have to have amazing credit to get approved
I contacted this store about purchasing our instrument. I was instructed to contact their salesman, Mike, to set that up. He picked up our intrustment and advised in a couple of days we would hear back. After 3 weekdays, I called to check in, their staff acts like they have no clue what is happening. I must’ve repeated myself 10 times before I was told that the manager had not reviewed our instrument for purchase, so I waited several more weekdays. I called back again, got the same runaround and was told again that the manager hadn’t been in the office and had not reviewed it still. I was told she would let me know something soon, but the manager had to review it and he was out at a doctors appointment. Literally 2 minutes later, the girl called me back and said they do not carry Blessing instruments. I laughed and said okay, I’ll just have it picked up and brought back to me. Basically this company lies to customers and when they’re too lazy to inspect an instrument that they asked me to send in and then say they don’t carry that brand. Mind you, my instrument was picked up and taken to this store that is 200 miles away. What a huge waste of time and energy on my part and the salesmen. Poor customer service all the way around.
Very nice store but wasn’t able to find what I needed
10. Art’s Music Shop, Inc
Address: 1001 Commons Dr #2, Dothan, AL 36303 , Belém , Alabama , United States
I took my trumpet in to be cleaned and repaired. They did a good job and finished quickly. Staff is very warm and friendly. Cleaning and repair work were professional. Glad to have my trumpet back in good working order and shiny as a new penny.
Check it out
Excellent Service…
They didn’t have the parts to fix the guitar I brought in for repair.
The Dothan Art’s Music location is now officially my LAST stop for instruments or accessories. The last few times that I have been into the store I was met with overpriced items and pompous pretentious attitudes. My last visit remains no exception. Unless I need the item immediately (can’t order online) and no other place in town has the item, I will never set foot back in this place.
If I could rate lower I would. Deceiving practices. Do not do business with this place.
Very very expensive
11. Blues Angel Music
Address: 30500 AL-181 Suite 128, Spanish Fort, AL 36527 , Belém , Alabama , United States
Stopped in to check out since I am a big fan of the Pensacola location. They had a sale going on. Almost bought a new guitar but promised the wife I wouldn’t buy another until I sold some of what I had and since they weren’t in the car with me couldn’t trade them. Did buy my daughter a new book for her trombone. We will stop again when we are in town.
Friendly staff, free ukelele lessons on Saturday.
Great selection..
I feel like some of the guys that work here are genuine. But I couldn’t help feeling like some of the workers were snobby and stuck up. The vibe here was if you don’t look like you have 5k to spend your times isn’t a priority.
