Had my guitar amp fixed here. Thought it was done for but now its roaring again! Mark did a great job!
Variety of strings was impressive
Always have what I need. Excellent customer service. Very friendly staff.
Friendly people but kinda pricey
This place is very small and crowded with goods. Most of the things are for those who really want to rock out. Lots of amps and electronic equipment and electrified instruments. Very little acoustic. The photos you see on Google maps don’t quite represent as much what you see in the store because it looks from the pictures like there’s more acoustic than they’re actually is. But the staff seem to be very good at helping customers make decisions.
#accessibility accessibility is poor. There is a super steep ramp step to get into the store and then it’s crowded inside. My friend on crutches with a large service dog had a difficult time getting around inside. I had a small guide dog and found the quarters very cramped. I’m just mentioning this so that people will be aware. Next time I go in, I will leave my guide dog at home and use a white cane to navigate.
The vast majority of the store has everything for electric instruments. There’s a little teeny acoustic room in the back which is so small that you barely have enough room to turn around and certainly not enough room to change your mind. Again mentioning so the people know what to expect.
Nice enough staff. Lots of good inventory.
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(
Bought a brand new acoustic guitar here after years of using this store for my musical needs. The guitar wasnt staying in tune and i noticed the intonation was a little off as well. I took it back 4 days later and they offered me 100 bucks for it. It was brand new and i spend 400 on it and bought a 150 dollar case as well. Thats not the way you treat repeat customers. I will never be returning to this store again.
Unfriendly staff

There is no other place quite like this one. Antiques and music memorabilia they would normally expect to find in a museum can be found right here in Glenwood. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner a few years ago but but even today the story is still amazing
Definitely one of the neatest and most overlooked places in Arkansas, if you love history of blues and rock n roll this is definitely a place you want to visit! It’s like a rock museum with a small selection of guitars for sale as well as picks, cables, strings, all your basic guitarist needs.
I enjoyed every moment in there
Interesting place not a store as much as a museum
4. Remix Music

They sold me the perfect gig bag for my 12 string guitar….the guy was very patient and helpful
Friendly’s staff knows equipment.
Firstly, this shop provides great service on guitars, setups and string changes. But beware of purchasing a guitar that is not currently hanging on their shelf. For example, the Fender American Professional II Strat, comes in 9 different colors. If you want a color that isn’t hanging on their wall, they will offer to get it for you, but it will be considered a “special order” and not eligible to be returned. This is an odd policy since they are an authorized Fender dealer. If you order the guitar direct from Fender, or Sweetwater, or any other online retailer, the guitar is eligible for return no questions asked. So essentially, trying to support a small shop will eliminate any guarantees offered by the manufacturer. Understand, I realize a small shop has limitations and must do what’s best for their bottom line. However, it was never communicated to me “hey if I order this guitar for you, it’s unreturnable.” The thought never crossed my mind to ask, since the item I ordered was a stock offering from Fender, nothing special or custom about it. It’s extremely surprising that a Fender dealer is not able to provide the same customer satisfaction policies that are in place by Fender themselves. Most of the guitars hanging on the walls are mid-tier or entry level guitars, so if you want something better, and you want the peace of mind to return it if you’re not happy with it, then I suggest looking elsewhere. If you need a great setup on your guitar, ReMix can do it.
We bought a guitar here for our son a couple weeks back. One guy was way too salesy and talked too much but I like supporting local so we bought one.
Paid Remix $135.00 to put a new but bad Fender neck on my guitar. I Sent the bad neck back to Fender. They said it was warped on the 10th fret. Fender replaced the neck. Now Remix tech want’s me to pay again to install new neck. He knew the first neck was bad when he worked on it. My opinion is not good for Remixes Fender tech. The advise their tech Andy gave me, was to find someone else to install the neck.
This is not the kind of attitude one would expect from anyone representing a company as reputable as Fender.
I’ve played Fender Telecasters for 50 years. Had a lot of them worked on.
Never have I been treated as as poorly or rudely as I was at Remix Music. I’m sorry to have to leave this less than favorable post. But this is the way it happened.
I will never deal with them again,
The old guy was nice and got a good deal on my Boss PS 6 but the 2 employees or malinngerers.

Great experience, helpful friendly people. Will definitely use them for all my music needs.
Purchased a beautiful Fender acoustic guitar. Nice facility, showroom with many choices of acoustic guitars. 6 and 12 string, and gorgeous electric guitars. Friendly and knowledgeable sales staff.
Austin was great! He helped me pick out my new bass! Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. Go see them!
Talked to Joey in the store today. He took some time to help me plan for an upcoming purchase for our church. They have a large selection of all kinds of musical instruments and they do lessons, as well. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Highly recommended! Thanks, Joey!
Usually busy because they’re good at what they do!
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.

Over the summer, I purchased a Getzen Super Deluxe trumpet. It was in pretty poor shape. The valves did not work, the bell was basically ruined. I dragged it in to Corey Divine, the brass tech at Palen, and asked him what he could do. He gave me a detailed rundown, and we set a budget to work with. I took delivery of the horn this week, and wow. Corey fixed it up to a level I wasn’t sure was possible. Palen is very responsive to communication and very knowledgeable about the repairs and work that they are doing on the horns. I’ll be returning to Palen for all of my instrumental repair needs.
Best place in town for your musical instrument needs.
Good
Friendly and careful repair. Would give 5 Stars if a more affordable option/tier of instrument was available to increase accessibility. We rent to own and carry insurance, paying about $45 a month for each instrument.
They didn’t have the trumpet I wanted but they got me the best trumpet now we just wait for about a few day and that’s it
Knowledgeable rep who answered all my questions.
I took my flute to Palen Music in Springdale, AR for a Key and pad adjustment on January 22, 2021. They said the instrument will be kept in quarantine for 3 days, then they will look at it. They took my credit card info, gave me a receipt and Left. Latter part of the next week I called to see if my instrument is ready to pick up. They said the flute is not ready because they wanted to give me an estimate before fixing it. She gave me the estimate on the phone and said we call you when it is ready. I did not hear from anyone the next week and I called back. They said it takes usually two weeks to repair, so we ‘ll have it by Thursday and call you. Thursday, I did not hear from anyone. I called on Friday and asked them if my flute was ready. After a long wait she came back and said the instrument is not ready and it will be next week. At that time, I told them I am picking up my instrument since it has been exactly three weeks to this day. She Also let me know that they already had charged my credit card. When I got there, they had not issued me the credit. After waiting another 20 minutes for that, they told me they can’t get hold of the accountant to issue the credit at this time but they will send it to my email account. I picked up my instrument on 2/12/’21 and left. A bad experience for me.
I don’t care for their customer service at all and think they are overpriced.
Thoroughly disappointed. The lady who greeted me behind the counter seemed displeased I was there from the moment I walked in. She was quick to inform me that they “dont do repairs on guitars” And they had no “Acoustic” Bass Strings. I’m not even sure she took the time to understand what I was looking for. Huge misunderstanding on my end I guess, because their website lead me to believe they repair musical instruments, specifically string instruments. There was no bold or fine print saying “we don’t do repairs on guitars”. Hours later I received a message request via Facebook from a man claiming to have “worked” at Palen music. I am not sure how he found me on there which is very unsettling. He wanted to send me free things provided i give him an address I am sure. This entire experience is very uncomfortable and creepy. Do not recommended leaving a bad review because they will track you down. How unprofessional can you be?
8. Houck Music Co
Address: 806 W Main St, Cabot, AR 72023 , Berge , Arkansas , United States
Randy was awesome. Knew exactly what I needed and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t want or need. Fantastic. Will be back for sure.
He helped me with pick out the right guitar strings for my Les Paul today, the store is really cool and has great prices. also my strings sound amazing!
Anything music, go see Randy! He’s got some G&L guitars stocked now that will leave you drooling and he’s a great guy that will give you a great deal!
Selection consists of mainly guitars, basses and a few country oriented instruments. Limited selection.
Great store
Not a super big store with lots of options but they have the things I need
Biggest piece of trash you’ll ever meet in your life.
10. Meteor Guitar Gallery
Address: 128 W Central Ave, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Berge , Arkansas , United States
We went to the Amy Winehouse Experience. We really didn’t care for the show because we felt like the show made a mockery of Amy’s final days of addiction and mental struggles. I wish the show would have celebrated Amy’s ironic voice over the sad drunken end of her days. Also they’re band was so loud you could barely hear Jenna’s “Amy” voice. Not sure if that was the band or house issue.
As far as the venue, we liked it. The staff was friendly and the place has a beautiful historic chill vibe. At the time (3/26) it was a BYOB but I think that might be changing? We will be back to check it out again.
Great prices and management
Canceled concert and never got refund
Worst experience with a music store ever! Lack of knowledge. Limited amount of guitar strings. Just terrible experience first and last time there!
11. Arkansas Musicworks
Address: 2400 SE J St, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Berge , Arkansas , United States
I’ve been going here for lessons in some form for several years. All through high school and currently with the guitar.
All the teachers are very good at what they do. If you are wanting to learn a new instrument or get lessons to improve what you already know, the teachers will be there to help.
Overall a fun place to be. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great selection of products.
I only ordered a tele pick guard but it came very quick and was very surprised it was original Fender Vintage very happy with service and price
My kids are learning instruments here. Teachers here are well experienced and knowledgeable.
Good middle of the road goods.
A very good place for music instruments and music classes
Brought my guitar into get work done on it. Neck reset and put new strings on it. They ship it out to the luthier who gives it back in worse condition than I gave it to them in. DO NOT USE!
Do not honor trade in value. Poor customer service.
Selection was ok. Only 2 left handed guitars both strata, no lefty basses. Limited drum selection. Good selection of music books and accessories, though. Guy behind the counter (older dude named Tom) was a jerk both times I’ve been in there. Will not be going back
12. Arkansas School Band Services Inc

I’m taking my son there every time he need anything like strings, rosin or a bow for his violin, Raymon is very nice and professional with that stuff. Love his shop. Actually my son’s new violin is from Palmers, good quality instrument.
Loved it!
Amazing quality products, great service, Mr. Palmer Was very helpful and very knowledgeable.
I only logged on to ask if this music store sells or had violins for sale. Can anyone answer this for me ? This is the closest music store but also an hour away and I don’t want to drive there for no reason. So I’d appreciate if someone could give a response and lmk if they do have violins. If not then anything close to a violin such as a viola. Thank you. (:
Good rental prices
Billing issues on return violin but was promptly corrected with great costumer service

The workers are very knowledgeable about their instruments.
As always, excellent service, staff helpful. Found what I needed. They had it when no one else did. Will be going back.
They had a lot of amazing things. It almost made me cry
Not bad for a chain store.
Staff showed patience on Black Friday. I think that’s pretty good.
No selection…..the store is nearly empty.
Called them about a t.c. helicon vocal processor. They said they still had it for sale. I made the 1 hour 15 minute drive. Got there. Got the processor out of display case. Selected all cables and things to make it work. Went to pay and was told I could not buy it because of some law. I said but I drove over an hour to get here. And you have it priced and on the sales floor advertised. Staff said” huh” Was told by staff to return tomorrow. Told them that was not right to which they replied “yea”.. didn’t even try to make a compromise to help me. Very disappointing
Called a day a head of time to make sure they had item in stock Because I live an hour away got here and they don’t carry that item.
The place was dark and had a strange smell. The service was slow, and when I tried to get lessons, my instructor sucked! He didn’t actually teach me anything, and I just felt this condescending tone. Like, if you’re going to get a job, make it about something you actually like!
