I had the pleasure to meet one of the owner, she took a great care of me, show me around the store. Gave me an awesome price on FedEx shipping! Thank you so much…
The people that work at this store are good at what they do , I bought an expensive guitar from them and there was a shipping address mix up and they did everything I was hoping for …now I have my guitar and I love it .
The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They did not try to sell me a more expensive instrument than I needed. Great selection of musical instruments and accessories. I had researched the price and they were right on target. My experience was very good.
Pretty unhelpful on the phone, like I was bothering him at his own job. Would be great if some of these local music stores would have hours outside of a standard job and weekend hours to support all the local musicians.
Product and customer service are both 0 stars.
Bought a guitar for my 11 year old son we got and it was heavy and to big so we returned it cause Totalmusicsource says yes we do refunds.before putting it back in the box I looked it over there was no scratches I went to the length of wrapping it completely in bubble wrap and taped the only way it got scratches on it is from Total music source cutting the tape. Any way had to open a case up with eBay there attitudes and customer service is terrible. I know good customer service because I own 5 retail locations and have been in business for over 25 years. So I spent $806 dollars they were to minus shipping around $48 received a refund of $515. Let this be a lesson when you purchase online . Terrible service.
3. Educators Music
Address: 110 NE 2nd Pl, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
Owner has moved his van an the world is right again.
My daughters take lessons here, great shop and people! Nice cafe attached with delicious treats!
Love this place, staff is knowledgeable and has a ton of experience!! If they don’t have it they will order it and they give the best lessons in town.
Decades old institution in SWFL. Quality teaching for various musical paths and a modest store with competitive pricing. Fun laid back cafe with live music rounds out the experience of this gem in cape coral!
I don’t recommend this music store. The woman working couldn’t find our violin case and blamed us for not calling ahead. Very inconvenient as we have to make another trip to retrieve it.
Sad to say one of the worst experiences as a consumer I’ve ever had. I’m a 47 year old new drummer (less than a year) who bought a Simmons electronic kit from a private sale. My ride cymbal stopped working and I went here for help with troubleshooting the problem, remember I’m new! The employee that initially helped me was AWESOME! I explained the problem, he offered a possible solution that I hadn’t thought of, and even pulled up Simmons site to offer more help. The owner very impatiently and abruptly interuppted, told his employee “he can wait”, as the owner motioned my direction, and instructed him to handle a phone call!!! Since when do you interrupt a customer in your store, standing right in front of you, who may end up purchasing something to handle a phone call!?!?!?!?!? The owner very impatiently and disinterested listened to my story, looked at his computer, ran the cursor over the “800 number ” for Simmons and said ” I don’t carry or service Simmons products, you’ll have to call customer support”. I was half way out the door as he was saying this!!! Kudos to the employee for attempting to help a new musician!!! But PATHETIC service from the owner. So what they don’t carry simmons?! Maybe someday I’ll be ready to upgrade to a fancy electronic or acoustic kit and need a good store. NOT THIS PLACE EVER!!! I LOVE to support local business instead of big box stores, but Educators will never get a dime from me.
At first I thought it was a decent little store. It does not have much of a selection, but it had guitar strings, which is what I needed at the time… then I tried talking to the sales person. He wasn’t much help, and seemed like he had better things to do.
It got worse when I was talking with the owner. I was trying to make small talk with him, but he was a bit standoffish. He Became rude when I was telling him that it was an interesting little place, but I’d come back I like it. After that he acted like I should just buy the strings and get out… which is what I did.
After that experience I have decided that I will not be buying anything from them.
4. Publix Super Market at Calusa Cay
Address: 5100 Pine Island Rd, Bokeelia, FL 33922 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
Staff is so helpful. Store is incredibly clean and well laid out.
Prices are a bit high
Great curb side
Pretty good Publix
5 items $50 dollars later is always the joke in my family
Overpriced!
Did not price match like it states on the front entry way. Today’s manager said he wouldn’t do it yet literally yesterday a manager did. To run a business you need consistency. Will never shop this location again, only the Wynn dixie here on the island or the publix on Burnt store
Great service, great staff. Anything you need in music, instruments, and repair.
LOVE THESE GUYS!!!! I’ve been coming to them for years. They always have everything I need when it comes to supplies. Great selection of sheet music, including method books and music for FBA Solo and Ensemble. I’ve bought two professional level instruments from them (Bb Clarinet and Tenor Saxophone). They had a large selection of pro and semi-pro level instruments for me to try from a variety of brands. The buying process was a great experience. I took an instrument that I had bought used elsewhere to them for cleaning, repair, and adjustments. The horn came back to me playing better than it did when I had bought it. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and are extremely good people to work with. AMAZING customer service. Cadence music will continue to earn my business for years to come!!!
Affordable pricing! Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff! Chris is amazing and has helped our son make amazing improvements with trumpet!
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
7. Green Planet Farm & Gardens
Address: 14900 Stringfellow Rd, Bokeelia, FL 33922 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States

They have a music studio here that would blow your mind, they hold top tier private events that you would be a fool to miss! They have loving dogs that greet you every time you pull up. So much land to explore and see. They’ve had a wide variety of artists out there like Indigo-I and Chuck Treece. This is a safe magical place where there’s nothing but love and fun. You would be a fool not to go to their private events! 5 star chefs, 5 star music, and fun for the whole family to visit! Go join the family!

10. ACE DRUMS INC
Address: 2541 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33952 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
The best place for not only drummers but all musicians! I love taking lessons there Jud is the best guitar teacher I’ve ever had . and Kenny is just a super nice guy who is willing to help you with anything music related.. I got a great deal on an awesome amplifier… If you need a band instrument like clarinet saxophones trumpets if they don’t have it they can order the perfect instrument just for you!! It’s more than a music store to me it’s family.. and the place that I love.. to just stop in hang out and talk music… Highly recommended! Whatever instrument you want to learn to play they have you covered from saxophone lessons with Amy and piano lessons to learning how to play the ukulele or guitar with Jud.. it’s not just a drum store it is a full service music store and you will thank me for recommending Ace Drums!
They really treat you like family. They answer any questions & I love having lessons there.
awesome people and teaching…. for me drums… have learned a lot… they can help at any experience level or age…. well worth your time and effort!!!
Jud is a great guitar teacher
Fine, but pricy
Staff is helpful and friendly.
poor service
Take this experience for whatever it is worth. Needed some work done to my acoustic. Came in one day, the luthier was gone. No biggie, life happens. Was told the he will be back tomorrow. ‘Came in the next day, he is not there. Finally another day, called in to make sure the luthier is there, which he was. I told them I will be stopping by shortly. Came in within 20min, luthier is gone for the day. I am not sure what is up with with this shop. Good luck catching the guy at work.
I walked in here and signed up for drum lessons beginning of July. I was told someone would call me to Schedule for Tuesday or Wednesday. I waited two weeks and had to call them back. Same guy told me someone would call me. It’s now August 20th and no one has called me. I don’t even want the lessons anymore I’m just really disappointed.
11. WD Music Products Inc.
Address: 17570 N Tamiami Trail #1, North Fort Myers, FL 33903 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
Awesome place to buy parts and music supplies. More than fair pricing. They will make you a CUSTOM pick guard on the spot!
I believe it’s a five-star establishment great service always have the parts in stock very very well prices what’s a good place to be around good people to deal with
I’ve ordered two custom pickguards from them and both have come out perfect. Great and fast work. If i need a custom pickguard made they are the first people I think of. No hesitation from me for when I need another made.
Great customer service
I went in looking for a guitar. They seem to do most of their business on repair, not sales. They have a couple dozen acoustic guitars of lower quality. Some looked used but were not labeled that way. Guy behind the counter never really took any interest in helping.
I love this place! Always willing to give me a good deal. They have everything! A great experience.
I purchased a WD Music Products bridge for my Gibson SG. The product as faulty from the manufacturer. It was loose fitting, the screws for the plate were stripped and so tightly put in they could not be removed, and the holes for those screws were not milled deep enough so the plate rattled even after installation. I called WD Music Products to try to discuss a solution and their accountant answered the phone and after I explained the problem she told me there was nothing they could do to help and when I asked to speak to someone else there she refused and then hung up on me. This was a terrible experience and they stole my money and left me with a piece of junk
The quality isn’t what it used to be. Send them a strat pickguard to copy and they get it wrong, repeatedly. I gave up on them.
Quality pickguards… BUT, the pickup routes where incorrect. This was for stock, factory pickups on my Peavey T-60. I had to manually file the pickup routes, this would not have been a big deal if I would’ve paid $40 for the pickguard, but this came out to $85.00 plus tax, plus shipping. $100! For this amount I would’ve expected nothing more than a perfect fit especially for factory stock pickups. I wrote an email two days ago describing my concern and I have yet to hear from them. A simple reply could’ve mitigated this review.
12. Mr Music, Inc.
Address: 12951 Metro Pkwy #3, Fort Myers, FL 33966 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
Great staff! We are from out of town and I needed a place to go play guitar for a few minutes. My son who has Down Syndrome was greeted with care and the staff guy played with him, helped him play piano and more. It is pretty rare you can go into a place with breakables and have an employee play with your 5 year old and treat him like his own grandkid.
Much respect, go buy something or take lessons from this place.
I have had to bring in several different pieces for repair including an electric guitar, a guitar amp, and an acoustic guitar with issues ranging from cosmetic (new knobs and switches) to serious internal issues (Fender Amp, broken inputs + reverb) and every time they have been repaired back to perfect condition. Quick turnaround and also a very reasonably priced selection of all the accessories you could need. Highly recommend.
Taking beginner lessons with Carl and so far it’s going great! I think they are reasonably priced and provide top notch inductors! I also have had a string replaced on my bass (which prompted going there for lessons). Overall great place and I’ll continue to go there!
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Came to Ft Myers for an 8 day vacation – My brother has lived in Lee County for 30+ yrs & I have a winter home in Cape Coral. I Researched online for a local music store that would rent an acoustic guitar. (( I just started learning to play the guitar a year ago at age 58 and I thought it’d be nice to do some practicing while in Fla.)) All indications were that Mr Music was the place to go. My brother was going to rent it as web site states they only rent to Lee County residents. They (Mr Music) seemed unprepared for someone coming in off the street wanting to rent an acoustic guitar. The young man that was on duty at the store was Very Nice and I felt bad for him after he got on the phone with someone who told him that I would have to come back several hours later that afternoon (I had plans and late afternoon traffic in Lee County is crazy ) or I could come back 2 days later. I could tell he was embarrassed and as said earlier I felt bad for him. Needless to say, I left w\out a rental guitar. Wm. Griffin \ Lexington Ky.
Nice Place but very pricey… A lot of things you can get on Amazon for way cheaper.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
13. Redbox
Address: 9864 Stringfellow Rd, St James City, FL 33956 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
I’ve been taking piano lessons here for a month now (with Carol, who is absolutely lovely!!), and I’ve met both Jay and Kay, who are very kind and helpful. I love their store, it’s very welcoming, and I enjoy my time there every time I come. I always look forward to coming and seeing their friendly faces.
As for Carol, she’s extremely sweet, and I love my time with her. Half an hour is too short! She keeps me on track with what I want to learn, while also teaching me theory since I’ve never had a foundation. She keeps it fun and does a great job of telling me kindly when I do something incorrectly, and showing me the correct way, along with ways to remember for the future.
As I said before, I greatly anticipate every week, usually before I even leave the lesson I’m currently at 🙂
Jay was extremely knowledge, trustworthy, and helpful in our piano selection. We highly recommend this company.
Great people very helpful highly recommended
Friendly and knowledgeable … good experience!
Shopping at Jay and Kay’s is always a pleasure.
I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time
Sadly to say I wanted to buy in my local neighborhood. Support the local businesses after the Covid 19 destruction.
I personally left their business card on the counter and had wrote a note on the back asking them to call me with my phone number on it. Crickets !!!
15. North Port Music & Bird’s Eye Studio
Address: 14860 Tamiami Trail 2nd Floor, North Port, FL 34287 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
Excellent store, owner is great to work with and just a nice shop.
My daughter broke her guitar string. I have no knowledge in that area. The nice man at the counter helped us immediately and was helpful. Plus the price was great. Thanks!!!
Such a great experience at all the shop. We needed a tuning knob gizmo and couldn’t find it online. Today the music shop ownership found what we needed almost by divine intervention in a minute.
Purchased a Sigma guitar, which I was told was a subsidiary of Martin this was Saturday. On Monday wanted to return because the strings were to big and hurt my fingers. I was told to “suck it up” even after I told them I wanted to return for a different guitar. Anyway, on Monday I went to another guitar store where I wanted them to restring the guitar. I was told that restringing the guitar would be a waste of money since it was warped, the strings were raised to far above the fret board that’s why it was causing me pain and their was an issue with the bridge. I ended up having to spend more money on a new guitar. Satisfied with the new guitar purchased from a different store. Just a side note. Sigma guitars made after 2007 and doesn’t possess the Martin stamp on the guitar are not made, authorized or approved by Martin guitars. This bit of information I got when I called Martin guitars in Pennsylvania. So the guitar I was sold was a knock off brand manufactured in Indonesia even tho I was told it was authentic. Also, it couldn’t have been a new guitar since it was warped. So upset I wasted 283.00 on garbage. Will never do business again.
Came in for guitar strings, immediately when I got home two strings had popped after I restrung my guitar. I came back in and told the nice man and he gave me a free pack of strings to make up and told me “those are kind of old that’s why they’re on sale” but when I got home to restring again I had another one break. I’ve played guitar for years and have taken lessons for years, I definitely know how to string a guitar. I don’t see why he would continue to sell these strings knowing they’re old and faulty. I probably won’t be back here.
Bad rating for never answering their phone. Would be interested in making a purchase if ya’ll would pick up the phone and let me know if you have item in stock…. Guess ill call guitar center.. Tried your store with the number on your website 3 times. The last time I let it ring probably 100 times. Your website said you were open.
16. Revolution Records
Address: 1031 Cape Coral Pkwy E #101, Cape Coral, FL 33904 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
Maybe my favorite business in the Cape. I found many hard to find records in my first visit. The owner is super cool and helpful. I think every resident of Fort Myers and Cape Coral with good taste should visit and grab some recs.
Find great gems at good prices
This shop is all about the experience and it shows. Welcoming environment with a well curated clean selection. Super clean with great decor on the walls.
Then you meet Jason. The super friendly owner that carry’s great conversation while allowing you to browse comfortably.
A must stop record shop. Truly one of the best I’ve been to In The US!
Great atmosphere and a pretty good selection of vinyl. I’d love to see more jazz. The owner is very personable and engaging.
Great place with friendly staff. The selection was nice and the prices were very fair. They even gave us advice about the local beaches to go and which to avoid!
Great store. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because he doesn’t have everything I want. With that being said he will order whatever you would like.
Horrible staff. Very judgmental.
17. Beacon of Hope Pine Island
Address: 5090 Doug Taylor Cir, St James City, FL 33956 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
They help the community tremendously,. GED programs it’s excellent. They really know there community needs.
One of my favorite thrift stores. Always good prices and good quality merchandise.
Great people always helpful
I always enjoy shopping at the Beacon. The ladies are always kind and helpful
Nice thrift store supporting a versatile, worthwhile, charity. They are back in operation after Ian, M-F, 9:00am to 2:00 pm.
nice place friendly staff
Update your google hours! What a waste of a drive!
I felt bad after visiting this place. The old lady clerk seemed contemptuous and had an air of entitlement that was very unwelcoming. I won’t donate or patronize a place where the clerks are as unpleasant as she was.
18. Trader’s Hitching Post
Address: 4547 Pine Island Rd C, Matlacha, FL 33993 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
This shop was amazing. From the outside and based on area you might think it’s not a legitimate trading post with Native American products. But looks can be deceiving so I went in anyways. Inside the owner, Cindee, was amazingly knowledgeable about all the stones, pieces, processes, and she really knew her business! The collection inside was so beautiful and I wish I could have bought it all! She will back her products and I even saw her working on pieces for other customers. Based on the lowest review posted. Yes, there is an Indian plastic person in a wheelchair but that was in the back room and the store is ANYTHING but offensive. I would go back in a heart beat and wish the shop was closer to my home state. BEAUTIFUL SHOP!!! Worth all the time spent and money and turquoise WOW!!
Excellent quality Native American sterling silver and stone jewelry, many one of a kind. Cindi and Jerry are extremely knowledgeable, and are glad to give you background information.
Love this store. Jerry and Cindee work hard to find great pieces for the shop.
Lots of cool turquoise jewelry.
Worth a look
She was happy so I can’t complain
This store has a most inappropriate and offensive ‘stuffed Indian’ dummy propped up in a chair out front – complete with boots – sunglasses- long black hair wig – cowboyhat and a mask of a stereotypical American Indian face ~ •and its owner doesn’t care one bit that this is politically incorrect and disrespectful to First Nations people to do this < the stuff being sold isn’t from local natives ~ it’s from out West – because the local idigenous peoples were forcefully removed many years ago – and replaced by Old White folks and tourists who could care less about the areas original inhabitants and more about Ice cream – hamburgers and stuff to buy on vacation . Stereotypical minutiae in my opinion – lousy service and second hand South West jewelry by some non NDN dude in FL <
Take down that ridiculous fake Indian guy prop out front Sir ~ please – it is offensive ….
19. Nick B’s
Address: 7573 Raymary St, Bokeelia, FL 33922 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
Pine Island needed a Nick B’s and they delivered. The food quality is top notch and the super friendly owners and staff provide great service. empanadas and chimichuri sauce are awesome. Keep serving up the great food!
Amazing food was worth the wait!!
Love their choices, so good.
Very good food, nice staff, indoor and outdoor dining options. Prices are on the high end…
Wonderful choices, heat and eat. Very friendly!!!
WOW! Empanadas and Salsa Dancing!!
Terrible service and breakfast bowl was ice cold. Was so salty couldn’t eat.
Foods ok but extremely understaffed. Fresh juice was warm and pulpy. Nice guy but he needs staff. Waited over an hour for basic omelets.
Perfect restaurant for those without a palate. Ordered the nick b’s steak sandwich. The bottom bun was completely soaked and dripping, the bread was not crunchy. The meat was one slice with significant fat and impossible to eat without a knife. The tomato slices were 3/4 of an inch thick. Worst sandwich I’ve had.
20. Cutting Ties Salon
Address: 5465 Pine Island Rd #1a, Bokeelia, FL 33922 , Bokeelia , Florida , United States
I have been a client of Dottie’s for many years & have no problem taking the drive from FTM to Pine Island. She has amazing energy, her shop is super cute, but most of all she does amazing color & cuts. In addition, she really works with your schedule. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, I highly recommend her; no matter what you are looking for, she will make it happen, trust me
Kayla is an amazing nail tech. She makes you feel special and does awesome nail art!
LOVE THIS SALON. VICKI IS FABULOUS (AND HILARIOUS) OH AND A GREAT STYLIST
Everyone is so nice. Make an appointment. You won’t be disappointed
