Best dang parts store in the U.S.!!! If you’re lucky, you’ll be in there when Muffin’s in there. “How ya’ like me now!?”
Bumper to bumper is a true blessing to the community of Bono AR.. Thank you Glenn for all your hard work and dedication… Great place to shop or have repairs done
Great service, very knowledgeable on all things auto parts, and very friendly. Highly recommended to stop here first!
3. Mr. Crisso’s Music Shop
Address: 1233 Flint St, Jonesboro, AR 72401 , Bono , Arkansas , United States
We always receive good service and advice at Mr. Crisso’s. Don’t be fooled by its appearance; this is a great store and Chris is a very knowledgeable and talented musician. We have been impressed by his friendliness and helpfulness. He has much patience with our young musicians and all of our questions.
Have used Mr. Crisso’s music shop several times. He is very knowledgeable about a large variety of instruments. We are music newbies with lots of questions and he has always been very patient and helpful. His prices are reasonable and his service is excellent.
I came with an old guitar to get it re-strung. I ended up consistently coming back to this store 4 times in the same week for all my music needs. The guy there is as friendly as it gets. I felt genuinely taken care of and I felt my guitar was as well. I would definitely recommend for any music needs.
Not very interesting to me
4. A-1 Tire and Auto
Address: 9762 US-63, Bono, AR 72416 , Bono , Arkansas , United States
Very nice guy runs the place! Fair Prices and great customer service.
Had an emergency needed a good tire on the way back into town they had it had it mounted in less than 15 minutes and I was back on the road great service thanks guys
Friendly people. Seem to have really good prices but on Saturday very slow service. Took over 3 hours to have 4 tires mounted
Good hard working people
Usually fast tire change but gets lots of business. Used tires are reasonably priced.
I bought 2 used tires and both of them blew in less than a month. One of the tires blew in less than a week. Also one of the tires arent even made any more, that’s how old the tire was. I will be calling Monday because we could have been hurt. I will blast your name everywhere. They dont deserve almost 5 stars.
Love the people here just think that they could do a better job of Examining The Used Tires had very bad experience with buying used tires here
Every time I call this tire shop to price a set of tires or see if they have them , they tell me I’ll call you back and they never do . Poor customer service..
5. Back Beat Music
Address: 613 Southwest Dr, Jonesboro, AR 72401 , Bono , Arkansas , United States
Went to them for help with my son’s guitar. Came to find out it would be more expensive to fix it than to just buy a new one. Showed us some they had in stock and pricing options. Will definitely be back.
Stellar – I’m like 8,000 miles away and Greg’s like, “I’m going to make a video so you can see and hear that this gear is up to scratch.” and he’s playing and it’s AMAZING! I’m wrapped – no wonder everyone says these guys are excellent.
…THESE GUYS ARE EXCELLENT!!
Great local music store! Friendly helpful staff!
I have been coming here for years as most of the reviewers. I have always had a decent experience. I’m just an amateur guitar player who doesn’t practice much and i don’t know much about music. I have to be fair and mention that, yes, the staff has at times, seemed curt and disinterested but I’ve never had an out-and-out bad experience here. It’s possible that they were simply just distracted or overwhelmed, it happens! I got lessons here from a swell guy several years ago. I wish i could remember his name. They seem to have a large variety of items like accessories-tuners, picks, strings, stands for your chords, chord books, guitar cases and guitars. They offer stringing services, although I’ve never used them. I think I’ve seen a few banjos and mandolins for sale over the years, although those may have been instruments taken on trade, i don’t know for a fact if they stock and sell those instruments. I also don’t know if they do trade-in as I’ve never had anything to trade. I have seen ukuleles there for sale. It is possible that they have expanded the lessons they offer into other instruments, such as wind instruments but I am not sure. That would depend entirely upon there being any such instructors available here in Jonesboro that don’t already have their own business giving lessons. That’s a lot of “maybes”. It would be good to call and just ask, if this is important to you. I do know that they used to give drum lessons, it’s possible they still do. If you are a musician or have a musician in your life, check this place out!
Great place to shop,
However one small issue I had there was when I was wanting to repair my Fender Guitar. The guitar was beat up a bit, had no strings, paint was damaged, and the knobs for the tuning were gone and the plate was cracked. My friend found it in an abandoned place and it was a decent guitar it was just badly damaged.
I went there to the receptionist and all I got was, “You are better off buying a new guitar” Etc. He was insistent on me just buying a new guitar. It was a very arrogant moment.
There are good thing’s about the place but from my only experience on this It was a huge waste of my time trying to repair, love the shop, the staff is pretty chill but I believe there can be changes.
Been going here for almost a decade. Probably the most condescending and overall lackluster service you can get in Jonesboro. If you’re a musician and you have a question, prepare for a rough time. Great inventory, bad pricing.
I’m being harsh with my rating, but in my defense I’ve been here at least thirty times in my life and have some terrible stories to go along with my dissatisfaction. There are things that you just do not do in customer service.
Sadly enough, the decent music stores have all closed up. Backbeat and All star are all we really have left and they are equally bad.
EDIT: Not sure if All Star is still open actually; don’t let that diminish my credibility. I avoid these places like the plague.
Yeah, I like the shop, but didn’t have the best experience. I brought my classical guitar in from out of town, and called first to specifically ask if they could restring with nylon wound. I brought another electric guitar in as well, since it needed new strings too. When I picked them up, they were both restrung, but my classical guitar was restrung with steel strings, not what I asked. They said they were out of nylon strings, but that these would work. It really changed the whole sound, and was not what I wanted. They didn’t show me the package, or indicate what type of strings for either guitar, but the invoice for both was almost $100! No set up, or anything, just a re-string. And I have no idea what they put on there. I guess it’s probably my fault that I have no time to put on my own strings, so let that be a lesson to me.
I usually do not write reviews about businesses, but I had to about this store. The customer service is absolutely horrid. There staff is arrogant and condescending. If you have any questions about a product, do not be surprised if they are rude and treat you like you do not know what you are talking about. They do not have that bad of a selection for a store that size, but all there items are overpriced. If you are looking to buy a reasonably priced product, buy it online from somewhere like Amazon or Sweetwater, and save yourself from a bad experience.
If you are looking to do a trade in, be prepared for them to give you as little money as possible. You might as well sell it online or sell it to a pawn shop. You will earn more money that way. They will find the lowest price online of the item you are buying, and that is what they will offer you. It does not matter how bad the condition of the product online is, or what condition your item is in.
This is one of the only local music shops in Jonesboro besides Allstar Music. I will not be returning to Back Beat Music. If you are trying to decide whether or not shop there, I will save you time: DO NOT! It is almost worth driving to Memphis to buy a product. I know this review seems very one sided, but I can not think of a single good experience I have had there. I wish there was something good I could say, but there is simply not.
6. RPBB Companies
Address: 1610 Arrowhead Farm Rd #36B, Jonesboro, AR 72401 , Bono , Arkansas , United States
Im a long hual truck driver they were willing to help setup guitar on short notice sounds very knowledgeable over the phone. Unfortunately I got stopped at the Arkansas scale in West Memphis. Will difently make it a habit to stop next time I’m in the area.
Great service
Because they are moving this place was a mess.
Nice person that really helped us
It’s not the best most of the brass is very old and not worth their price and the mouth prices a rusting but I love their selection of instruments there and it looks kinda wide open and friendly and they have so much stuff their.
Selection is sub-par and overpriced. You are always able to talk them down on the price however and the staff is serenely helpful and extremely knowledgeable. You can find a few brand name guitars and a large selection of drum kits. I think it deserves repeating the staff is fantastic!! (no I don’t work there) ha
This may be the place to get an instrument repaired, but certainly not the place to buy. It does not look like the photo inside. I would compare it to looking like a run down flea market inside. As other reviewers have said, it was very overpriced. I asked for ukulele strings and they didn’t even have any. Most items on the shelf were very outdated and dirty. The selection of music books was awful. I can’t even see why they are still open as a music store.
Over priced merchandise. Didn’t enjoy my visit at all. I purchased what i needed because it was my only choice but at a price three times what it should have been.
8. James Halbrook Band Instrument
Address: 2115 N Patrick St, Jonesboro, AR 72401 , Bono , Arkansas , United States
the best man in Jonesboro to fix your rusty dusty instrument, bro has every tool under the sun to fix my saxophone. James is genuinely great and will get you taken care of.
I won’t go to anyone else to have my flute repaired. He does an amazing job.
Very friendly, quick, and affordable service! Will definitely refer my friends to Mr. Halbrook!!
