Very nice and polite staff. They are cool and laid back. I took my 12 string in to be restrung and tuned. Jon straightened her neck and even played a song for me on my guitar. Highly recommend! I will be back.

Everything went great in my business dealings with them until I went to their bank to cash their check. The bank did not want to cash it- they made me wait 20 minutes while the teller had a conference with the manager. Long story short National Bank charged me $8.00 for the privilege of getting real money. I was to get $400 for my guitar but I only got $392 this is not fair. I think Jacob should give me the 8 dollars to make it right but he will not pay in money, only checks. This is not right.

These folks repaired my Taylor 614CE after it was damaged in a pretty bad fall. There were nicks and cracks in several places, and a hole was punched in the cutaway that looked irreparable. The work they did was first-rate. I couldn’t have asked for better, and their price was very reasonable for that amount of damage. I can’t recommend them more highly.

This is one of the few “Mom & Pop” music stores left. Being from Michigan and Ohio, it reminds me of the music stores I frequented as a child!

Good place limited selection

I just want to give smaller independent shops my business but selection is rather limited here. When I inquired about an item, they actually looked it up on the Sam Ash website and advised they can order it but 1) I’d have to wait until they do their next order, 2) it would cost more than at Sam Ash, Guitar Center, and Amazon and 3) I’d have to pay for shipping. Seriously, if that’s the way you can give me something you don’t have you’ve just GOT to know that’s a crappy deal for me. Just tell me to buy it elsewhere and that you hope you can help me with something else. They can’t seriously expect me to find that even remotely okay can they?

They are very helpful and answer my questions about learning how to play the guitar.

First time going to the store and was honestly excited to buy a ukelele and as I walked in me and my friends were rudely approached by a lady who practically shoved us out the door and told us we needed a mask and only one person at a time even though she herself was not wearing one. As I exited I informed her that there was no sigh on the door stating any of this and it would be a good idea to place one up. I walked to my car got my mask and walked back to the store to find it locked I stood outside for a few minutes and was disappointed to not even have an employee tell me to please wait for further assistance. Horrible customer service I totally get what’s going on and I’m happy to wear my mask but please plan your reopening better.

The only reason I go to Boogie Music is for the absolutely wonderful work the Luthier, Brent does on my guitars at a very reasonable price. He gets 5 stars!!! Also the instructors are very good, at least I can say that for the guitar instructors. Now the reason for the rating. They have poor selection and fairly high prices. As far as guitars go, they only stock Taylor guitars (which are very good). Go try them there and find a better price on line. They do have some electrics, but mostly used or consignment. Now, the number one reason for the poor review is the owner. I give him a rating of ONE! To say this man is unpleasant, is being generous. He doesn’t want to answer or makes you wait for the simplest of question. He can’t handle more the one thing at a time. He will not let you see or talk to the other staff in the shop. Just today I picked up a couple of guitars I had work done on. The luthier was out. I said OK and paid for the work and took my guitars. I got home check them over and all was perfect. I wanted to call the shop and thank Brent personally for the fine work. The owner answered the phone and I asked to speak to Brent. He said, he’s to busy and we are taking all calls for him. Didn’t ask if I could leave a number and have him call me back. No pleasantries of any kind and would not let me speak with him, period! No other options where given to me. I have been going there because of the luthier for over two years now. I stopped going for months because I didn’t want to run into to the owner. So my suggestion is, if you want great work done on your guitar and can avoid the owner, go. Otherwise find somewhere else. All the other staff is quite pleasant. Unfortunately I will have to find another place to go. I’m not willing to deal with that kind of altitude and service from this person.

Rude on phone

I went in to have a viola string replaced. The store associate was very helpful and knowledgeable, and replaced the string very quickly. I would definitely go back and recommend Sam Ash to anyone.

This was my first time there. My wife had previously been there to purchase a power supply for my keyboard. And she was excited to take me there to look around. All we needed was a headphone jack adapter which was easy to find. I thought the store would of been bigger from the way my wife described it. But the store was awesome except when we found what we had came there for and wanted to pay. No one was available to help us. There was an employee on the phone and she seemed to take forever helping whoever was on the phone. So we looked around to see who could help us but everone who was there seemed to ignore us as if we weren’t there. So finally we went back to the sevrice counter and waited a little longer for the employee to finish on the phone and she apologized for our wait and helped cash us out. That was the only issue lack of customer service. But overall I will ve going back to purchase another keyboard as to mine is older and I want something a little better.

Poor selection of saxophone product’s.

When we go and play on instruments they look at us like we’re stilling. One of the workers even asked us are we going to buy anything real rude.
We tried asking the workers how something sounded
And he got really defensive and started debating in a rude tone. It was just a BAD experience!!! Never going back !!! Plz save ur time

This is my go to store. I have been buying everything from here including my last 4 Guitars. And a drum set. Even had a guitar shipped to me from the Queens NY store. Just a great staff. I have been very loyal.
But if they are going to keep up with this mask madness. There are other places to go. Two other music stores are closer to me anyways. Bummer guys.

Such a great place to get music supplies and take lessons! Robbie was my teacher for over a year and I learned so much about guitar over that period. The whole staff is so helpful and understanding and Esteban in particular always goes the extra mile.

NEGATIVE STARS IS MORE LIKE IT!!! I have had the WORST experience dealing with the customer service from Music and Arts. Everytime me or my husband try to call and resolve our bill we get told a different story! NOONE has helped us resolve the issue and it’s been over 4 months now. The amount of money I have paid Music and Arts already, I could have boughten an instrument. NOT worth the hassel and absolute HORRIBLE customer service!!! Save your money and time and go somewhere else!!

I needed an inexpensive, passive-pickup bass guitar to use as a backup option during my pro performances, so I stopped by Music and Arts in Glendale. I was greeted by Connor, a relatively new employee who quickly established himself as an attentive and customer-oriented sales professional. I was completely satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend Connor, manager Jim and Music and Arts.

Very nice store with all the necessities. We came in to grab supplies for my son’s school band and they had everything we needed. The customer service is great and they are very patient. They do get backed up at times so showing patience as well is a plus. We’ll be coming back for all our musical needs!

I had very bad experience with this store, firat I have been a customer for more than three years, one time my credit card did not get through and they send me a letter in the mail I contacted them as soon as get the letter but they charged me a late fee!!!
Second each time I walk to this store I need to spend at least 30 minutes due to the staff shortage, one only employee there and she responsible for two registers and phone!!

Last time I went to exchange my daughter instrument it took more than one hour !! Again only one employee there and she said the system is slow and suggested twice to me to leave and come back!
Never come back here again.
