I needed some work done on my guitar and Dave was all over it and had it back to me the next day! I appreciate their service & dedication. I highly recommend them!!
Great customer service, really didn’t expect the professionalism and courtesy of old man Richard to take his time to play me a song and give me great history on the instrument I purchased. Would recommend this music store to anyone from anywhere!!!!! Thanks again!!!
Nice family owned business
Swell guy
Niced ppl to deal with live it there.
Have some passionate experts that have been working many many years. They have a small inventory, but they will take care of you. Unless you’re looking for something super specific, you’ll be well taken care of.
3. Rezonated Recordz
Address: 514 W 2nd St Suite D, Safford, AZ 85546 , Cactus Flat , Arizona , United States
“Best music store in the valley, hands down.” says hubby 🙂
Very helpful when you have a dilemma with your system
Had the parts I wanted in stock!
Disappointed that you don’t have much support for bass clarinets.
My experience with Sam ash was not that great they were not friendly at all, I felt like i was treated as a transaction. In and out. Who Evers is managing that store needs to go over training again, and better their staff, to Greet , ask show and closed with a smile and delivering great customer service. Instead me and my wife went to guitar center I felt like we were in the right place , guitar center team they were all greeting everyone with a smile , So I bought what I needed there. One major reason because i was treated more then a transaction.
I went in to buy my 6 year old daughter a guitar for her guitar class and everyone was really friendly except the guitar salesman. I went around 7:45 pm and I guess the guys shift ended at 8 cause he was really annoyed with every question I asked him. Great store but bad salesperson.
Over priced and customer assistance is lacking the knowledge necessary to help customers.
Ordered a drum kit and after 4 days of no contact I had to contact them to find out they didn’t have it in stock. I was then told the store by me was packaging up a display kit for me to pick up. I was then sent an invoice for full price. Sorry but there’s no way I’m paying full price for a used kit. This was the first and last time I ever order from sam ash.
When we go and play on instruments they look at us like we’re stilling. One of the workers even asked us are we going to buy anything real rude.
We tried asking the workers how something sounded
And he got really defensive and started debating in a rude tone. It was just a BAD experience!!! Never going back !!! Plz save ur time
6. The Music Store
Address: 2630 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Cactus Flat , Arizona , United States
The Music Store is the absolute best place for all your music needs. They have a wide range instruments, accessories, and gear at competitive prices. The owner sat with me and gave me his undivided attention when I recently purchased a guitar. He seemed truly interested in finding out exactly what I wanted in my new instrument. His knowledge of the guitar is remarkable and I’m beyond pleased with my purchase.
As an added bonus, Brenden, in the on-site repair shop, is an absolute wizard. He set up my affordable, starter guitar and made it sound like a million bucks, for little more than the price of the new strings! Don’t settle for less than the very best for your beloved instruments.
This music store provides excellent and quick service. Great instrument rental options.
Brendan is extremely knowledgeable. Whether restringing or fret work and adjusting he gets the job done efficiently and with a smile
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, 3 people working and not one of them tried to help me whatsoever and 2 of them didn’t even acknowledge I was in the store! Very poor service
I have been coming to this music store for years since I was a child. I know that their prices are higher than ordering online, but I’ve still paid their higher prices to support them. Today I came in with a question about how to get a simple cleaning rag, which was stuck, out of an instrument. The guy behind the counter was extremely rude did not answer any of my questions, told me that no one in the entire store had any experience with this sort of question. Sorry to say, but I will not be giving my business to the store any longer. I would recommend milano’s music, or ordering online.
Discriminated against me for having a disability.
7. Boogie Music
Address: 3562 W Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Cactus Flat , Arizona , United States
Honest, pleasant, professional, knowledgeable. They know their business and they know guitars. I recommend them.
A small mom and pop music store surrounded by the chain stores (GC and Sam Ash) offering guitars amps and drums plus accessories. Their specialty is their selection of quality Taylor guitars and was the first store to bring the Taylor line to PHX. Clint is a seasoned, very knowledgeable owner who takes the time to gift expert advice. After 2 visits I became a customer today and can’t recommend them highly enough. It’s rare these days to find stores like this that go the extra mile and are not bound to corporate dictates and thus provide fair pricing and generous trade in values. Spread the word!
Great music store. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff always willing to help. Support a local legend, before you buy give boogie a try.
They are very helpful and answer my questions about learning how to play the guitar.
They will not sell you small pieces for bass instruments (i.e. springs, valve corks, or other small parts) instead they insist on bringing the instrument to their repair shop (not really expensive to do either) but if you are a person like me who needs their instrument on the daily it would be more time efficient to just buy the piece and fix it my self.
Good place limited selection
500+ schecter guitar I wanted to trade in BRAND NEW. wanted to give me 200. Sam Ash offered to fix the floyd for 80. Sam ash thanks you for your business
I am appalled by the awful customer service provided by the very owner of this establishment. I felt discriminated against and disrespected. Though I entered with a cheerful attitude and a desire to rent an instrument, the owner was rude, condescending, and did not seem interested in doing business with us. As an educated woman and a musician of many years, I could not fathom why an owner of a small business, who understands the significance of connecting with the community, would engage with customers in this fashion. We remained calm and intended to proceed with the transaction. Unfortunately, the owner continued to present obstacles, leading us to finally leave empty handed. Thus, I do not recommend this music store to anyone in the area.
The person at the store followed me around the store the entire time and was super critical on how I played the guitars (which was not abusive or disrespectful). Made me not feel welcome or wanted. I would buy from anywhere else. Wish this was not true, I love little music stores.
8. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Cactus Flat , Arizona , United States
Took my Fender Stratocaster in for a set-up, bone nut and new strings. The guys at Brindley’s did their usual great job. I had my AX back in a short amount of time and it plays and sounds great. Whenever you can, support the local businesses.
Less than a 2 day turnaround for my Martin. Exceptional work and service.
I found a beautiful s series Ibanez at Brindley’s Music Center. This guitar was for me from the start. Brindley’s has several well crafted guitars to select from. I plan to have her for many years and even if I wanted another, Brindley’s would be the first shop I check. Thanks for a great guitar!
They are wonderful people and always take care of their customer by heart.
Good music store for those looking for something specific…not much to look at for those who want to look around or window shop (especially for drum equip). Other than that, it’s a good local music shop. They used to make their own brand of drumsticks, which were GREAT, but last time I went they said they no longer make them. Bummer!
It was very awesome service but milanos was cheaper books were 8.00 and care kits were10.00 and at brindleys it was almost 16.00 and for book it was 10
Communicated with them over offerup. They instantly got rude and snarky when asking about trades. Don’t know if it’s the owner or just a social media person but totally unnecessary treatment of a potential customer
Terrible. The service is great but. 13 dollars for 1. 1 Bari sax size 3 Reed is way to expensive. I could get 5 for 30 on Amazon. That’s a amazing price. The sax repairs are way to expensive. 100 for a check up. When you Could go down the street to superstition mountain music and get everyone about 50% cheaper.
Beware DO NOT RENT from them. They lied about insurance. They RENT beat up instruments then make you pay to fix them. Was told it would be $20 per repair then at register charged $25 per repair. Will never go back. Take my advise and take your business elsewhere
9. Guitar Center
Address: 1652 S Val Vista Dr Suite 118, Mesa, AZ 85204 , Cactus Flat , Arizona , United States
Sometimes you just need to look around. Other times you need to make a purchase. Great place to go.
Great Customer Service!
Great staff
Good store. They have almost anything you need from student to professional.
My only negative comment is that they are lacking in their wind instruments.
This is a nice location. They have great selection of all musical instruments and they teach too.
Lots of Associates however not very welcoming.
Do not shop here. Went in to buy a drum kit. They require masks still even though anyone who wants a vaccine has been able to get it for a little while. In other words, they subscribe to the kabuki theater that is mask wearing today. I’m not going to wear a mask to protect those that decided, in their infinite wisdom, to not get vaccinated. That’s their problem. GC is free to demand masks but I’m free to give them one star and not buy my drum kit there. When they decide to treat me like I’m vaccinated, I might be back. And I might change my rating, then, too.
I just got back from Guitar center in Mesa and I was assisted by Quinn. After ringing up my merchandise I asked her to itemize the cost. When we got to the beater for my bass drum she stated the cost was $29.99. I am informed her the sign said 22.99. We walked on over and I showed her and she stated that it was in the wrong place, and I pointed out to her, there was no sign for $29.99. she said we have to make a sign for it and stated you still need to pay $29.99. I was blown away. I’ve been given this store a lot of my business over five grand in the last 2 years and this is how I’m treated. This is the last time I’m going to the store, because their customer service has a lot to be desired.
Super bad service at La Mesa Guitar Center, I spent 30 minutes waiting and browsing, no one helped me to try the guutars that are locked. I will rather buy online from Andertons.
10. Music & Arts
Address: 7040 E Hampton Ave, Mesa, AZ 85209 , Cactus Flat , Arizona , United States
Always helpful, kind and friendly. Excellent experience every time we go for help with instruments.
I teach Drums at Music & Arts on
W.Bell rd. Sun & Mon. And at
E.Mesa on Hampton rd. Tenured there since 2006. Tom.
Tiene mucha variedad en tan pequeño el lugar para cualquier tipo de compra o renta de instrumentos
They were kind enough to let us jam on their amp and electric guitar
Very basic selection.
Great place to purchase or repair an instrument. Alwayd friendly and provides suggestions based on cost for anything the sale or service. Strongly recommend Music and Arts.
Went to the Music and Arts store today to purchase drumsticks and lessons. Couldn’t use my Canadian Credit card or American cash? Very disappointed
I don’t necessarily have a grievance with this store in particular but the company in general. When my children did not return in March due to COVID there was zero communication from the company as to what to do if we were currently renting from them. I called one day at the end of March to try and return the instrument and they said unless you can make it here by 5 pm tonight we are closing indefinitely due to Covid. They did not offer me any assistance or let me know there was a customer service line to call. I assumed this was a privately owned company. I tried calling today to see if I can return the instrument (we’ve been quarantined since March) and receive some sort of reimbursement due to the circumstances. The guy at the store told me there was a separate customer service number (oh NOW they tell me) that I would have to call to see if I can get a refund. I called and was told I should have called earlier to get my payments stopped and there was nothing they could do to get reimbursed for the months I have been paying for when I couldn’t return the instrument due to COVID and being quarantined. I don’t believe this is great customer service as almost every other company is offering Covid assistance and they will do nothing but keep my money.
Update- they just called me back and said if I return the instrument I could get half of my last months payment back. So I’ve been paying $27 a month for 4 months on an instrument that’s not even being used and they offer me roughly $13 dollars back. What a joke.
Spent my money elsewhere because of the masks requirement.
