It is nice to find someone that is out to help musicians succeed, not just make a quick buck.
Thanks Slick.
I had a wonderful experience purchasing a classical guitar from Slick today. Not only is he easy to talk to, but he has a wealth of knowledge and stellar customer service skills. I walked away with exactly what I wanted, and all the confidence behind it. He even changed the strings and oiled up the beauty for me!
No reason to ever go to a Guitar Center, and if you’re a local there’s no excuse to. Slick is the man, give this place a visit.
5 stars, 6 if I could.
I bought a Teton 130 acoustic from Slick. He is a great guy and really knows how to dial in an acoustic action wise. I barely have to touch the strings to get the sound I want. He also did this for me in a matter of an hour as the guitar I picked was still in the box from the factory. The guitar sounds great and its beautiful. He also set me up with a gig bag, leather cork strap and some picks. I’ll be back for sure.
The man knows his stuff
3. Downtown Sound
Address: 330 E 4th St, Loveland, CO 80537 , Campion , Colorado , United States
Absolutely love this record store!! Such a sweet location in downtown Loveland. The staff are very nice and friendly. I had been having trouble finding a record for years and they found it for me, ordered it, held it for me, and sold it to me at an excellent price. They always have a great selection of records from well known albums to wonderful obscure titles too. If you are looking for vinyl records, go to Downtown Sound!
The owner is always very helpful and friendly. For a small place they have a lot of variety and new stuff always coming in. They have even ordered albums for us that they don’t have in stock or have sold out of. It’s always fun stopping in to downtown sound!
Alway a pleasant experience!
Great customer service
Pretty good selection of used vinyl in mostly very good condition for good prices, especially late 60s-early 80s stuff. The owner is very knowledgeable and has been very nice and happy to help in my experience, going above and beyond what I would consider the call of duty.
Leaving one star off for room for improvement. Certain genres are underrepresented. They aren’t the most generous store regarding trade-ins, though that may be based on my experience offering the same type of thing they already have plenty of.
Overall very good experiences and there are always great deals to be found for the open-minded music adventurer.
Cool
I was hoping for a bigger selection of vinyl and more variety
Says it’s open, no one in the store no one picked up the phone
My son (14) loves learning bass guitar with Alan. I highly recommend Alan to anyone looking to learn an instrument.
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn from & work with Alan. I’ve been his student for months and wouldn’t really choose anyone else..
Alan is a fantastic guitar instructor. He makes learning enjoyable and knows how to develop the skills of any level guitarist. He listens to the student to help determine a learning roadmap that is practical and fun. Highly recommended!

Kara is amazing! Very patient, calm and also fun! Teaching a 4 year old is tuff! Definitely would recommend to everyone!
My kids (6 and 8) love Kara and their music lessons! She understands how to engage them with the right balance of work and light-heartedness so that they are learning while also really enjoying making music. They are excited to go to lessons at her bright and cheerful studio, and never complain about practicing because practice time is tailored to their age and ability. Kara also has a knack for choosing material that will get each of them excited, and the songs they play are both challenging and fun for them. We couldn’t be happier.
Love this studio!! The instructor is patient, fun and professional all in one. She really connects with her students and engages them. The studio is cute, clean and bright. My kids are learning so much AND they love going to class!! Very reasonable pricing, best value in Northern Colorado! Totally recommend this place!
10. Ultimate Support Systems
Address: 5836 Wright Dr, Loveland, CO 80538 , Campion , Colorado , United States
On Craigslist, I bought a keyboard stand made by this company (US-44 Utility Stand). I play lap steel guitar and was interested in playing while standing so I extended the height by putting dowels into the legs and put a thin board on top for my stuff and guitar. This unit is discontinued by the company and I don’t blame them. The design couldn’t have been simpler but also couldn’t have been more confusing to put together. I’ve color coded the joints for ease of assembling. I’m very happy with it!
Terrible customer service. Products come with defects and they just ignore you.

Thanks a lot Bobby! Guitar is playing great. Nice work.
I really appreciate your flexibility with your time to accommodate my schedule.
I’ll be back!
Upgraded everything you could think of on my bass and Bobby did beautiful work. The neck, already the best I’ve felt, is now even better!
Bobby took my guitar in on a Saturday for a set up. Had it done in a couple hours. My buddy messed it up trying to fix it and Bobby knew what my buddy did wrong and explained it to me. Cool guy to talk to. I’ll be bringing all my guitars here. Thanks Bobby.
We were looking for a professional Getzen 3062AFR bass trombone online for WEEKS, when we came across this store. We were able to get the Getzen 3062AFR bass trombone used (but in impecable condition) for an excellent price. A new Getzen 3062AFR is very expensive, so we eagerly bought it. As we purchased it, Gina was very helpful and gave us photos and a thorough description of the instrument. As the product shipped, we were frequently updated on where it was on its process. An amazing store.
Gina is a consummate musical instrument expert, especially when it comes to Flutes, Horns, and the litany of Brass Band instruments. I reached out via email to her business after hours and received a return phone call immediately and she proceeded to run me thru the gamut of her Saxophone collection on hand and educated me on each and every one I inquired about and lastly she offered an a phenomenal deal on a mint condition Sax that I would have been foolish to bypass. To top it all off she had the instrument overnighted to me (unbeknownst to me). My inspection proved that she was spot on in her description on the instruments condition. I can’t give enough accolades to Gina and her team. Thanks a million Gina!!!
Ordered a used king trombone. Was in really good condition. No surprise damages or anything, I’d order from here again
13. Black and Blues Music and Brews
Address: 423 N Cleveland Ave, Loveland, CO 80537 , Campion , Colorado , United States
We found this cute bar because we heard a great band, Ain’t From Here, would be playing and we LOVE them. The drinks were great, I had 3 called a “White Room” that tasted like an orange Creamsicle beer, they were FABULOUS! During the band intermission, this 16 year old kid named Riley Martin got on stage and blew our MINDS! He’s an amazing guitar player and singer, hope to see him there again! Love going to a bar with great live music and chill atmosphere. I would love to have a couple snack options though! Highly recommend
Hands down the cleanest, most prompt to serve and best all around owners/employees I’ve ever had the pleasure of being in the presence of!!! Would 100% recommend to any and everyone I know!!!
I am looking for places with live music and a friendly calm atmosphere. B&B Music&Brews was perfect – SO fun and cool!
You can match the iconic nickname to your favorite drink, tip the bartender – then wave to the musician as you choose a favorite “wallflower” spot along the wall to listen/tap feet.
Or dance on the central dance floor, and call out requests; or go on through to the outside patio to chat, listen and people watch! 😉
Before you go home, make sure to view the for-sale art from different local artists. Though eclectic, each has talent and personality that fits the scene and broadens the experience.
Black&Blues Music and Brews hosts a variety of activities sure to restore and rejuvenate the local art, music and cultural scene. Check out their website to see a well-laid out schedule for single musicians, groups, live poetry reading, open-mic nights, and cultural activities. So far, I’ve only been once…but I invited everyone I know to go back with me. If it’s art and music supported and held up loosely in an open hand (and this is), I’m all in!!
Hope to see you there!
Nice meeting area
Good drink. Fun times.
This bar and music joint has a classic ambiance. The bar tenders are helpful and polite. The live entertainment was excellent. The experience was fantastic, would love to come back.
No phone number posted for your location here. That is 1 star quality.
Very helpful! Got my first guitar here years ago! WILL DICKSON and JAGUAR JAKE are juts ignorant and mad! THE WORLD DOESNT REVOLVE AROUND YOU insignifiCUNTS!!
Closed when it says 24 hours and store is a mess
18. Goheen Piano (Hours by appointment)
Address: 21638 Weld CoRd 1, Berthoud, CO 80513 , Campion , Colorado , United States
Fred Goheen is a master piano tuner/technician. We purchased a beautiful Yamaha baby grand that was priced very fairly. Price included delivery and setup. Thank you Fred!
We recently bought a piano from Goheen Piano and could not be happier with their work and service. The piano is beautifully restored and maintained. We went to see the piano at his showroom, and he delivered it immediately after purchase. I don’t know where else you could get such great personal service and have a piano delivered on a Saturday evening. He clearly has an astounding depth of knowledge regarding piano care and maintenance (and is an excellent player!). I recommend you contact the Goheens for any piano needs. We couldn’t be happier!!
I bought a piano from Fred about 2 months ago and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I am a complete novice when it comes to pianos and Fred was fantastic walking me through the various parts and making the process extremely easy. It was a very personable experience, not one you would get from buying from a big store. I felt confident that I was getting a solid piano that sounds amazing, plus at a great price – thank you Fred!
