I had never played an instrument before coming to Fletcher Music Center in Tucson. What a thrill to play my favorite songs.
You have the best organs and organists in the World. I love your videos. Also, Robert is an absolute delight. Gene G.
I can confidently say that the people who have left negative reviews on this page do not know this company.
Don’t schedule with them to perform for your facilities.
They will schedule with you, then not show up. Then when you call to see what happen they will claim there is no record of anything ever being scheduled. We will be doing business elsewhere.
I could not agree more with those who shared these people prey on the elderly. My very elderly father purchased a top of the line organ and had roughly $80k invested in it. I won’t even go into the details of the transaction(s) but he passed away and fletchers sold it on consignment, and I kid you not, the family got 3.7 cents on the dollar for a near new organ. I would love to know who they preyed on next and how much they sold it for (mind you that it sold almost immediately). Draw your own conclusions from this review but we find this entire industry to be utterly despicable.
The worst place you can get an organ and not the best place to go guitar center is highly recommended employees are rude as well even the owner of the company.
My son is taking violin lessons and its helped him alot with his anxiety the teacher he says is very kind an sweet
Best music store in tuscon! Great prices. Wonderful service over the phone and in store. I definitely recommend this store.
Staff was very professional and helpful. Very clean and extremely organized store. I highly recommend to anyone looking to buy, rent, and learn an instrument.
Abit more expensive than the guitar center.
Friendly and helpful staff! Clean and distance with masks observed! Awesome place to learn music as well as purchase quality music products.
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with incompetent employees all the way up to management (heaven) to even cooperate , I’m so thankful I no longer have to deal with any of these people again especially the guitar instructor, I did not appreciate every little comment he made about any of the equipment we brought in to shame my child because the items he brought in were passed down from his grandfather , I also find it way more convenient to order my items on Amazon for a much lower rate and to not have to deal with individuals that are looking to charge me an over priced rate , I gave a small shop a chance to help out locally and all they did was run the “he said she said “ experience, I will not and do not recommend this place to anyone , one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any facility . Good riddance !!!!
I used to be loyal customer for years. Howerver, M&A’s new strategy of “Paperless receipts”, requires that I provide my email address for a purchase. Their “paperless reciept” excuse is nothing more than a strategic excuse to obtain email addresses so they can spam. When I stated I do not provide my email, they refused to sell me a service. I have since found a local music store that is more friendly and will no longer use M&A.
I was very unhappy with the way this store sold us an instrument after we rented one for over two years. We qualified for the rental credit and it was given to us. The problem was that they valued the used rental instrument at $800+ and they sell the same one brand new for about $470. The reason they do that is that there is a clause that states that when using the rental credit one must buy an instrument that cost the same or more than the rental so they jack up the value of the rental. We were told that we couldn’t buy the flute we had been renting and could not get a new flute because it wasn’t equal or more value to the one we had been renting per terms of our agreement. They said that our only option was to purchase a used refurbished flute from the warehouse and it would be sent to us. We feel that this is a very shady way to do business. Not recommended. Updated; Thank you for your reply too, owner of the store. I have already sent an email but thanks for suggesting it.
6. Guitar Center
Address: 3830 W River Rd Suite 110, Tucson, AZ 85741 , Casas Adobes , Arizona , United States
Adan was amazing at helping me find my very first guitar thats suits me very well and he spent 2 hours finding the guitar that i love.thanks for everything. From Matteo
Great very friendly staff! I was looking for a guitar cable both associates were very friendly and positive. Both asked me if I needed any help and took the time to explain all my options.
Great store@
Creo que han caído bastante estas tiendas, no están tan surtidas como antes
They’ve got pretty much everything you need. But the fact that the guitar technician needs to be in to change the strings on your brother’s Floyd Rose because no one else in the store knows how to is a little disheartening
Jon was helpful with me selling my amps and guitars to them.
I hate that this is basically the only music store on the northwest side of town. Every time I go in here, it’s like pulling teeth to find someone who knows anything at all. Also, their gear selection is absolutely terrible. It’s almost pointless to try and demo anything in the store, because they don’t have anything that’s worth demo-ing. Looking for a new guitar amp? Unless you want an entry level combo amp, tough luck. Want to play a high end acoustic guitar? Too bad. All their good stuff is online. Which would be great, except I’m not looking to buy a product and then decide if I like it or not. Get your act together, guitar center. Stop hiring stoners in baggy clothes, and start carrying gear that people want to buy.
with their service or their attitude very picky we’ll find another place to do my business
Terrible customer service, we walk in two associates at the front desk and no greeting at all, we have been looking at mixers for10 minutes and they still won’t cover over and help me get the mixer I want, but there at the counter chatting away .
Extremely dedicated and passionate. Not only a world class performer, Eduardo is also a brilliant instructor with an endless wealth of musical insight. Highly recommended
Dr. Costa is a wonderful and accomplished guitarist, and we love having him come to Madaras Gallery to the perform.
I’ve been taking guitar lessons from Dr. Costa for a little over a year now. I’ve had 13 years of classical piano lessons as a child, and a year of classical guitar lessons a few years ago while I was living in WI.
As many people know, Dr. Costa is a world class performer with 10 international competition victories – so having the opportunity to take lessons with him as an amateur is a rare opportunity in itself. But on top of that, I’ve found that he’s also great at explaining musical concepts, with tons of very effective practice techniques. He’s also very easy going. I travel a lot for work and things are always coming up, and he’s always been very understanding and flexible with accommodating my schedule.
I’ve become a far better guitarist thanks to Eduardo. If you live in Tucson and want to learn classical guitar, there’s really no other person that you should turn to for lessons
We had a terrible experience with Eduardo. I’m sure he’s an excellent guitarist and musician when it comes to sheet music that he’s already practiced and played before. But unfortunately, we asked for a custom song to walk down the aisle to.
First, we asked to hear how he stylized the custom song. But he charged us extra for us just hearing it before we walked the aisle — wouldn’t you want to be absolutely sure the song was perfect before the big day? We offered to review it quickly over a call or whatever worked best for his schedule, but he charged an unfair amount and is now using it as a way to promote/monetize himself.
Second, during the actual day and while we were walking down the aisle, he messed up the notes of the song we most cared about so we were really disappointed about it.
Lastly, it might seem like I’m nitpicking but we were nickel and dimed throughout the entire process of working with Eduardo. In fact, he played longer during our pre-ceremony (which we didn’t ask him to!) due to venue delays and he sent us an invoice for this extra charge while we were eating dinner. On our wedding day.
Like I said, I’m sure he’s great at sheet music but we were so disappointed when working with him. I do not recommend Eduardo for custom songs or those with a tight budget.
8. Casas Adobes Plaza
Address: 635 W Ina Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704 , Casas Adobes , Arizona , United States
As w/all Malls, it’s great , but I was just passin’ through to another destination.
Charro Vida rocks!
This is a very cute Plaza that has a great Sam Fox restaurant called Wildflower and the restaurant called sauce and it has a Whole Foods
Parking lot is a problem
Whole foods is nice. Haven’t been anywhere else yet.
It was ok
They didnt have my favorite drink . But the other drink i ordered was alright
This has been one of the jewels of Tucson for 70 years. The architecture (with the exception of the ruined #WholeFoods) is gorgeous. and timeless. But recently it has become a nightmare. Traffic engineers created a mess with their “Michigan turns” at the intersection, making it ridiculous getting out of the center. I avoid the center as much as possible and now go out of my way just to keep from having to go there. People exiting at Via Ponte pull out and block the right turn lane in order to try to get into the left lane to turn at Ina, adding to the congestion. People are constantly running the red light at Via Ponte and Ina and I have personally witnessed three wrecks and four near misses. The light there takes a ridiculous amount of time and normally allows only about three cars through per change. If that was not bad enough, the center is now rife with panhandlers. I have been accosted trying to get to my car on numerous occasions and today, after meeting a friend at the center for lunch, one spat on my car. Not that I do not have compassion for them, I help and donate at the food bank and at homeless shelters all the time. But these are obvious addicts who have serious addiction issues. If the center and the county does not ramp up protection and monitoring soon, I can pretty well guarantee that something bad will happen soon.
Ramseys Pianos provided me with great service. I found a used piano that I really liked. Ramseys gave me all the information that I needed to verify this is a worthy purchase. I used them to move and tune my piano. Their staff was very kind and professional. There were no hidden costs. They kept to their schedules and maintained appropriate communication. Whether you are looking for a piano, needing to move a piano, or have your piano tuned, Ramseys Piano is awesome.
I used Ramseys to help me with a cross country move of a family heirloom piano. I was trying to find a way to move a piano without paying thousands of dollars. Scott explained to me how they could get my piano “road ready”, load it on to my uhaul and all I needed to do was hire someone on the other end to unload the piano. It was the perfect solution and literally saved me at least $1500. The actual piano loading went well, all the guys were friendly and tolerated me being nervous quite well. Thanks guys!
I just purchased a Piano and hired Ramsey to pick it up and deliver it. The person I bought it from just had their floors redon. Ramsey had no issue with wearing socks to protect the floor. They took their time to not damage wall, door jams, floors or the piano. Very professional service.
I just walk by it, I’ve never went inside.
Scott Ramsey has been very accommodating with getting our piano fixed. He is very flexible when helping get payment done and he did an excellent job tuning and fixing what has been needed to get done.
This person stole $1,600 from my wife! He agreed to sell my wife’s piano on consignment. He picked up the piano and later emailed her (we have all the evidence) saying that he found a buyer and she would be getting $1,600 if she agreed. She agreed to the $1,600 and a few months later, after not hearing from him, she contacted him for her money and he told her he did not have the money!
This disgusting low-life stole my wife’s piano! He took it on consignment and said he had a buyer if she would take $1,600. She agreed and when she contacted him to get the money, he said he “spent it” and could not give her the money he owed her!
Watch him claim “bankruptcy” whenever he owes money to people. 100% dishonest crook!
I was selling a piano on CL when this company told me to call them for help moving. We called two times and the person was very rude both times. I’ll never go to this company for anything again.
Edit: Interesting how you would resort to attacking me rather than investigating what happened. Since when did telling the truth become “mudslinging”? Thanks for proving my point about your failing business.
My 6 children have had so much fun learning piano and music at Creative Keys! Ms. Barney is energetic and knowledgeable and takes each child’s personality and preferences into account when teaching piano. The lesson times are filled with fun group activities and challenges. Lots of improvising and pattern recognition to go along with reading music so that students can start making real music from day one.
Lynnette is an outstanding piano teacher! She teaches in such a fun, engaging and creative way! Both of my children have had lessons from her and have learned so much while having a great time! I recommend her completely for anyone looking for top quality, engaging piano lessons that will have your child loving every moment!
Creative Keys is an amazing place. I started taking my daughters to Music Together almost three years ago, and we’re still attending. It is such a happy place for me! My children would soak up what we sang and danced in class and then act it out at home during the week. We have loved listening to the songs in the car and making up new words throughout our day.
Now my oldest is taking group piano lessons from Lynnette. I am blown away by Lynnette’s teaching methods. I feel like she is not teaching the students to play songs on the piano–rather, she is teaching them to be musicians of the whole instrument, and of music, rhythm, and sound. Each lesson includes a wide variety of very engaging and interactive elements. Every part of the lesson is purposeful.
After just a couple months of group classes, I watched this group of five- and six-year-olds play a rotating duet of variations. Amazing.
I wholeheartedly recommend Lynnette Barney at Creative Keys!
Rene is a local gem. Her sultry voice captivated me several years ago when she sang for the residents at an assisted living community. Listening to Rene sing smooth jazz is very soothing. You’ll want to hear it again and again. Her voice definitely uplifts the soul.
Rene Taylor is extraordinarily talented and a fantastic singer! I enjoy her music every time I attend one of her shows! She is definitely a must see!
Always wonderful at the Views!!!!
