5. Guitar Center
Address: 6927 N 9th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32504 , Century , Florida , United States
Big ups to the guys at Guitar Center Pensacola!!! The customer service and knowledge there is mind blowing. Had to return two guitars that I didn’t purchase at this location and they were so gracious and helpful. Tyler, Tom, and Matt answered all of our questions and got the other items returned with zero issues. They helped my girl get the perfect fit for her first 7 string!!!! Thanks fellas for such a refreshing experience and for setting the bar so high in customer service. You’re the best of the best!
Large selection!
That the customer service is really great.
Big and good people.
Edit: tried a second time and service was better. Ended up buying a classical guitar on impulse with an acoustic 40w amp. It was close to closing timeso I didn’t camp out and try the Taylor’s. Adding one star back. Selection is still limited and mostly entry level.
Spent over 20 minutes in the store. Wanted to get a mid level acoustic for my daughter and another Taylor for myself. Not one hello, nod of the head or even eye contact from employees. Hard to believe they are on commission, not very hungry for a sale. Store is very clean, though much smaller than typical GCs. Selection was all entry level for the most part. I’m interested in an 814CE. I have had a 614CE for years but wanted something more traditional sounding than the maple of the 614. Lots of empty guitars hooks, either replenishment is lacking, or lots of guitars are in the back room. Had someone said hello, I would have gladly ordered the Taylor, and brought my daughter back to play the Luna, then order the nicer Moon Flower version. Off to check another local shop before I’m forced to go online. Prefer to keep my money local as possible.
Jacked up prices and they try to sell you the low price junk. So it will brake and you have to buy another.
The people are nice but the store SUCKS! Tried to buy some drumsticks today and every pack I brought to the counter rang up for significantly more that the sticker on the location of the product. On top of that I’m in the market for a new bass. They have a nice fender jazz. I wanted to give it a go. Nope. Not a single patch cable to be found. I’ll spend my G on a bass at another location. Just showing me again, why GC is dead.
Waited 20 minutes for an associate to check for strings as I watched him help 3 people with their purchases before me while he was “looking.” Spoiler alert — didn’t have my strings.
6. Blues Angel Music
Address: 657 N Pace Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32505 , Century , Florida , United States
Chris is a great representative for Blue Angel music. He knows the products and offers his own experiences. I’ve now bought a guitar, and an amp through him and I’m not even a guitar player LOL I’ve been shopping there for years for my daughters and myself, and will continue. I’m glad to see young musicians like Tori being given the opportunity to work as an employee of BAM, and earn money in customer service and music. Great one stop shop.
I recently bought a used guitar from Blue Angel Music and had nothing but a great experience. I had some questions about the guitar and an hour later they sent me a video the tech made going over the guitar. I could tell these people care about what they do and their customers
Great service with a family vibe gotta love the selection
Really cool atmosphere and nice staff. Wish they had a little more options with drum equipment but I realize they’re limited on space compared to bigger places.
This store is okay, the people are friendly but they’re a little over-priced.
Those are great people with great service!!!
Don’t get me wrong but this place has great musical instruments but me and my friends were looking at stuff and we got kicked out when they’re were people playing the instruments around us just like us
Side burns guy is weird and mean, made fun of my friend because he was new.
With the lack of customer service and products I don’t see this company surviving another 2 years with online sales with Companies like sweetwater around I have been loyal customer for years, I will never set foot back on this store! Sad to say Guitar Center won my business on my purchase and treated me a hell of a lot better.
7. Schmidt’s Music
Address: 105 N Palafox St, Pensacola, FL 32502 , Century , Florida , United States
Only popped in for a second, but I immediately felt how great it was. I saw a family buying a trombone and the employee giving suggestions. Overall great experience.
Friendly staff, great AC. There’s free parking out front.
The best in Pensacola for school instrument sales/rentals
They where vary helpful to use
I guess this is a good music store, it has been there forever, lol. We went there to buy an instrument and they had nothing in our price range available ( which wasn’t low I might add :/) (said they would have to order) …I like how they will let you try a few out, they will give you a room away from everyone. They also do instrument repair. The girl that helped us was amazing, helpul and friendly. We’ll go back!
Knows there stuff easy finance.
But expensive.
They said “oh we can’t fix your flute because it is a hunter we don’t work on those
I came to the store looking for some help on purchasing my first violin, I ended up getting snubbed. I was trying to get some general information on purchasing and what I needed, instead I was told at least 3 times how expensive they were. I was deffinetly judged upon walking in the door, as it was I had just returned from a trip and did not feel I needed to dress up to go into a music store. In the end I am glad I had this experience because it allowed me the opportunity to find another business that was actually customer service oriented, and was not judgmental. I am now on my second violin and enjoying every minute of it, no thanks to this store.
Too expensive

First time in the store, I met with Brendon (and I may just butchered his name -apologies) he helped me with a mouth piece for my son, without placing or taking blame I was scrambling to find the correct mouth piece and book for my beginner band player and this gentleman was extremely helpful and had the patience to deal with me and my un-musical self. Will not go or seek out any other music store (as 2 had failed me, until I got an email back from Nathan so i decided to stop in on just a “why not”) even though I wasn’t able to get the mouth piece that day it was there the next morning. Better/faster than Amazon!
Thanks for all the help!
Very friendly and very professional, Brittney is amazing super friendly.
Good selection of music equipment/instruments. Good customer service.
They had the coupler i needed and what they didn’t have leitz had.
Great spot if you need to rent or purchase an instrument. The customer service and the teachers they have for lessons are kind and very helpful. There have been some minor hiccups but nothing a drive to the store didn’t fix.
Website said strings were $6.99. In the store they were $16.99. No, I didn’t misread it. There was a BOGO, but still, they should honor their prices as advertised. Otherwise the staff was very helpful though.
Needs more employees, needed help, but was on the phone the whole time
Brought a guitar and wiring harness in back in June. The guitar needed a fret job and I wanted the harness installed. They said they didn’t have someone in their staff could work on it, but one of their teachers can. I left it with them. A MONTH LATER, I got tired of waiting and came in to ask the progress. They messaged the teacher and then he messaged me. According to him, they never told him he was to work on it, so a month of NOTHING happened.
Two weeks later, the guitar is supposedly done. Me thinking my patience has finally paid off, took it home to play around with it. The frets were fine. The wiring was absolutely abysmal. The neck volume still sent signal despite the switch being on the bridge setting and on 0. The bridge volume became insanely bassy rolled off. I figured that was the fault of the company that made the harness, so I took it back and they messaged the teacher. He later messaged me and came across as standoffish. Claimed he spent 4 hours checking the results.
After a while, they told me either the company who sold it screwed it up or it was like that “by design” (i.e. not their fault). I asked if they could adjust or rework it to see if they can fix it.
I wait a week later and call back in to ask the progress. They told me they guy that was meant to work on it had been gone for a week due to tragic circumstances. I would have been inclined to believe them if the news weren’t delivered to me like a middle schooler being asked to read from a textbook. I decided to take my guitar back because I didn’t want this headache anymore.
I PAID $400+ DOLLARS AND WAITED ALMOST TWO MONTHS FOR THIS BOTCH JOB. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. You’ll honestly have better luck doing it yourself.
10. Sophia Coffee
Address: 404 Palafox St, Flomaton, AL 36441 , Century , Florida , United States
The two young ladies who waited on my wife and I were delightful and very pleasant. They had some wonderful music playing and the ability to see into where they roast the coffee themselves was quite entertaining. They spoke of how they were both Pastor’s daughters and the owner was also a Pastor of a church nearby. The signs leading us to it off of 113 were very helpful and aided us greatly.
11. Vallarta Mexican Restaurant
Address: 9010 N Century Blvd, Century, FL 32535 , Century , Florida , United States
The food was delicious and the owner is very kind. It’s a bit expensive but its understandable after all it is somewhat new. It’s worth a try! I know I’m definitely going again.
Friendly staff quick turn around on orders .
Great food and service!! Small quaint restaurant. Has Tvs for the sports enthusiast.
Loving this place! The staff needs to work on their service. Each time I’ve been, I had to ask for napkins. Some of them don’t know the menu.
I enjoyed the live music but why not add some variety to the line up.
Love the food and the atmosphere.
They use cheap oregano and there was a 1 inch stem in my taco. Be careful!
Everything was good until the roaches started coming out. My husband step on three of them and when we pointed it out to the waitress, she said “well I see the pest control is working”!
The food was subpar and overpriced. I ordered a to-go drink with my meal. The cup size was the size of a small toddler’s cup and they charged $2.99 for it! This restaurant is WAY overpriced for subpar food and fountain drinks and I will not be going again. Spoke to several people who have eaten there and the food was bland and lacked authentic seasoning. The numbers don’t lie!
Brought us wrong order and bad table service!
12. Redbox

Stopped in on April 22 at 5:10am on our way to Birmingham from Pensacola. We were met with a smile by Teri. She was very friendly and took our order right away. It took less than 5 min to receive our food. There were 4 people in our party. The restaurant was clean, including the restrooms. Our food was hot, order was correst. It was nice to receive such great customer service!! Thank you Teri!!!
Fast n friendly
Terrible terrible wait time. Old owner had it running better. Okay food
Service was ok but the manors was not there at all never once did anyone say thank you for choosing McDonalds or any thing else. If I were the owner and my employees could not thank my customers I would fire the whole bunch and get another bunch to work. That’s my opinion and I personally will not be coming back to this store!!!
Ok
Food was old and cold
Messed up our order
Food wasnt fresh

A great place to go if you’re new to guitar and more the service is amazing he goes into detail about the different things you are looking for and is very helpful
Real nice owner. Knowledgeable. Fair
These people were so down to earth, Honest, and sincere. Gave me advice like I was family. The best was how to pick my next Guitar. I won’t say it here you got to go see them I have my new guitar from them, I love it and he actually talked me out of one that I wanted that was much more expensive. They have a new loyal customer for life!
Steve H.
A nice find in this town
I like this music store. I think it’s the only good one in Saint Augustine. The renovation also makes it a lot easier to get around in.
IT’S A SMALL STORE, BUT THEY HAVE A GREAT SELECTION OF AWESOME GUITAR ACCESSORIES, AND GUITARS… ALSO IF YOUR GUITAR NEEDS REPAIRS THEY CAN DO THAT ALSO….
Over Priced!!!
I bought a guitar from 5th Century Music. They said it was new. I found out in less than a week that it was not. The G string had been replaced and the nut had been opened to almost twice the size of the string. I took it back the second day because I couldn’t keep it tuned. They sold me a tuner. They said the one I had was no good. I kept the guitar for a week and I got tired of tuning it. I took it back to the store and asked for a refund. The salesman called the owner and asked if it was ok to give me a refund. The owner said no and the salesman pointed out a very small handmade sign that said no refunds. The sign was not there the day I bought the guitar or on the second day I went there. I left the guitar at the store with the salesman and I am now working with my credit card company.
Would be nice if they opened on time. Times on door say they open at 11am. Been waiting 15 min and still not open. Frustrating!
