5.00$ for a winter coat. 3$ for a self blow up mattress. 1$ for a new swimsuit. 25 cents for a pair of socks. Best deals in town. You won’t find a deal like that anywhere else! Highly recommend this place they donate all there money back to the community and show where each dollar goes. The lady was super helpful and nice. This is the best place to ever go thrifting.
The place is clean and organized! Good shopping.
Lots of clothes, some random stuff hardware, furniture, electronics.
They have great cheap stuff but sometimes it don’t work and its not open enough and they can’t here my calls

The prime rib is amazing and the tacos are not to be missed!
Absolutely my husband and I’s favorite place to eat in Challis. To say the least, I have never been a fan of BBQ until I ate here. Everyone there is friendly and courteous along with a laid back atmosphere. They serve beer and soda but if you don’t prefer one of those, they have a self serve water station. I think we have tried everything on their menu so to say one or the other is better would be a hard choice. There is BBQ sauce, (secret recipe to die for) on every table so you can add as little or as much as you desire to your meal. This place is highly recommended!
You’ll go back to Challis just to eat here. The best place we’ve ever eaten
Food was fantastic! Serve was fantastic! Would have given 5 stars, but my water glass had someone else’s lipstick still in it.
Really good food . A bit pricey
I have eaten here and have generally been pleased with the meals. Last night I ordered the tri-tip. I’m sorry to say it was dry and tough. Considering the $21 price, I was quite disappointed.
It’s closed
The service was terrible, waiter brought menus we never saw him again, had to go to the counter to order. Mac and cheese was old noodles were hard. Baked beans were dry. The smoked meat was good that’s about it.
Seemed like great people and laid back atmosphere and was pretty crowded but I ordered brisket and when I got it I wasn’t sure if it was brisket or pork by the look of it. Even after a couple bites I still wasn’t sure. It kind of looked like pot roast that came out of a slow cooker. It was probably the worst brisket I’ve ever had. Sorry to be blunt but when you can’t tell what it is and it was mainly fat. Only about a quarter of it was meat and the rest was fat. I do realize that it’s a small town and not a lot of choices but you usually can’t mess up bbq. Maybe they were running out and it was what was left. Maybe their other dishes are better.

6. Challis Roadhouse Bar and Hotel
Address: 1220 Main St, Challis, ID 83226 , Challis , Idaho , United States
My favorite place to go when I visit Challis. I’ve met so many great friends at the Roadhouse. They make tasty drinks and delicious food.
Good food
Challis is such a beautiful community and the Roadhouse Bar just makes it even better! The food is incredible (make sure to get the Blackened Salmon Caesar) and the bartender (Kris) is a diamond in this beautiful bar. MUST STOP THERE on your way through town.
Good food, service, and drinks. I just wish the building was kept a little cooler, I would have stayed longer if it was more comfortable to hang out.
Very good. This is a rustic “road house” so you can have a cold beer at the bar or a nice steak at a table. Looks like a dance floor might be busy on the weekends. They also had a nice outside area that looks to be good for summer outdoor dining. The steaks are very good cooked just right. Also hamburgers and sandwiches. And lastly, very friendly staff and good service.
Good burgers, crummy fries (not the kind I like). Hotel room was OK but certainly needs a little TLC. Staff were great.
Too expensive! Meal was mediocre.
Not impressed at all way over priced
Rooms are modest, no fridge or microwave, old tube tvs. No wifi and there’s hardly any signal – I can’t even check the weather. The heat didn’t work in my room and I froze all night. The satellite TV in my room stopped working in the middle of the night (I sleep with the TV on). I got very poor sleep here between being cold and then the TV cutting out (I need background noise to sleep) and with the inability to connect to the internet I think there are better choices in the area for the price. The staff were excellent and the food was tasty.
Noteworthy details: NO WIFI
No heat
No fridge
No microwave
Kid-friendliness: Family friendly restaurant attached
Wheelchair accessibility: Though there is a second floor which seemed to only have stairs, most rooms and the restaurant are on the 1st floor

Overall a good experience just know that unless you want a $350 hold on you payment card at the pump you should go inside and have them put a set amount on the pump. While I understand that they may get get trucks with dual tanks that can take 80 to 100 gallons, but if their policy is to put a $350 hold on your card there should be a sign stating that policy at the pump. While I was okay, not everyone can afford a $350 hold on their card.
Awesome sandwiches here. Well worth the stop.
Overheard owner calling someone’s gf some foul names uncalled for won’t return to a place with a nasty owner like that
