Wonderful experience dealing Kenny and the guys all they need is me to help their guitar and associated equipment thanks Kenny and the rest of you guys I love you all
Your friend LANE
Prices are about average. I take Bass lessons there, the instructor Jud is a great instructor. After 28 lessons (30 minutes) I am able to play 10 + songs.
Ken and his staff are very user friendly with great attitudes.
Great people enjoying what they do. Thanks
Went to just check it out. Nice people. I was looking at acoustic guitars, and they have a limited selection and don’t seem to carry the major labels like Martin, Taylor, Gibson or any more upscale brands.
Very crowded and cramped. Lots of stuff for musical instruments..
Its a drum store. I wouldn’t call it guitar center… definitely not a guitar shop, prices on lower end guitars are cringeworthy in most cases on brands im used to seeing in pawn shops in the midwest. Some gems however rare. Limited hand made drums. Its at least a good if not phenomenal drum shop.
Steer clear from this place. All sales are final and no refunds or returns accepted. I was kicked out for requesting my money back on being sold a used broken guitar priced, and sold, as a new item. All instruments look dusty and used with prices that reflect new items. STAY AWAY
Was a loyal student for three years, and owner promised to “take care” of me in regards to a new instrument. “New” instrument turned out to be defective and refurbished. Owner refused to rectify the situation and became verbally hostile, unprovoked. Have incident on video. Separately, teacher was knowledgeable but unprofessional, talked badly of other students and otherwise wasted lesson time.
This is the worst place for kids in band ever. I went there to get flute polish and they had none the guy working there said but I saw some flute polish behind him even when he said he had none. Worst place ever.
4. Fletcher Music Center Inc
Address: 1441 Tamiami Trail # 837, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 , Charlotte County , Florida , United States
Very knowledgeable staff, patient, and friendly. I feel like a part of the family when I visit the store. Lessons are Awesome with Cary Price.
Fletcher Music has a very helpful and knowlegable staff. I started several years ago with the 6 lessons for $20. That was the best decision I have made! Perhaps it’s not for everyone. But investing $20 to try it out..hey you can’t go wrong. Stick with it, and you won’t regret it. You will learn, grow, improve memory, co coordination and make new friends along the way. I highly reccommend Fletcher Music Center of Port Charlotte!!
Really mean people over the telephone… don’t waste your time…
Terrible experience with the very experienced sales woman. I would not recommend this store for experienced or novice beginners unless there is someone welcoming to potential customers. Interesting how there was no one playing in the store and she made it clear that we were not welcome to play any of the instruments. She also wasn’t helpful as she didn’t recommend another store for us to visit to where we would be welcome and she could possibly receive a referral fee.
This company advertises 6 lessons for $20 for customers. This must not include potential service customers, or music purchases. Apparently lessons are only if you’re going to buy an organ from them. My mom signed up for lessons but when she arrived for her fourth lesson, she was asked to leave. The gentleman didn’t give her a reason at the time – just asked her to leave. When she arrived home embarrassed and upset my dad called Fletcher Music. They told him it was because she purchased a used Lowrey organ from an acquaintance and not from them. What a TERRIBLE way to treat someone. They could have done the courtesy of informing her over the phone rather than humiliating her in the store. This would be like a Honda dealership kicking you out of their store because you bought a used Honda from someone else. Good dealerships do not operate that way.

Everything I wanted I could find there, CDs, Records, Fabric posters, Movies, Shows. Great prices too I got a 2 brand new Nirvana albums for $30!!! What a deal! Definitely a great place to go for any music, movie, or show lovers
Very knowledgeable and helpful.
I just got into collecting records and this place has a wide selection from vinyl, CD, dvds that you should find something you would like.
Great place to buy LP records, but the selection of 45’s are really low. Wish you’d get better inventory and ones with picture sleeves, than those ones on the shelf. Very friendly service. Good location off Tamiami Trail and good parking.

My 6 year old son has been coming here for about a year. Mrs Butler is extremely patient and works so well with him. I would recommend Monarch Music Academy for anyone interested in learning how to read music and play piano.
Best teacher I have ever had. Very good at motivating students. Teaches to the student. Studied for 4 years and plan to continue indefinitely.
An excellent teacher in incredible subjects, if your trying to learn piano in this area she is truly your best option.
Top of the line best place I’ve been to, the guy that runs the place actually cares about his customers and their progress in music. Best place in the cape no doubt.
Stopped by on a whim, Frank is great and I love the PRS he sold me. 5 Stars for sure.
Great little place with knowledgeable staff. CHEAPEST GUITAR STRINGS I’VE FOUND IN TOWN! Not a lot in stock, but they will order in.
Stopped in today to check this place out only to find a ‘We Fear COVID’ notice on the door. LOSERS!! Can’t believe people in the music industry act this way!!
Drove all the way to the store and closed at noon on a Friday.

Love broke ‘n records! What a great experience while visiting the area. Extremely professional and knowledgeable staff, found a few gems while I was there check these guys out!!
This was my first visit. I bought some choice CDs at a nice price. The father and son were easygoing. They hooked me up with a discount card. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer.
Excellent little shop. I received an LP from someone as a gift and had no turntable. Ended up leaving the store with a turntable, about a dozen records, and collectible Star Wars figures as Christmas gifts for my sister. Great selection and something there for all tastes.
Great place
An excellent place to buy vinyl and other gadgets. Just wish you’d have a much better selection of sleeved 45’s, besides those boxed dusty ones on the floor. Friendly service too. Good prices on LP’s.
Cool store, cordial employees. Not a good place to sell your instrument. Only offer $250 max on anything. Website said they are interested in buying things of value. Avoid unless you are trying to get rid of a worthless old guitar.
Have been in quite a few times to purchase vinyl over the last few years and always had great interactions with the two younger guys. Stopped in recently to sell a few DVDs and while speaking to one of the younger guys, the owner came over and rudely lashed out at him for even considering buying them with zero clue of our conversation. Did not acknowledge me as a customer or even look at me. Disrespectful and unprofessional. Last trip for me. Go to TJ’s…
REPLY -Nope wrong guy. You did not buy anything from me and I never brought in figurines. TJs was not mentioned. Funny how you think he was in the right without knowing exactly who I am. Don’t turn this around, own it, he was rude and that is why I posted a review.
The timing of my review is completely irrelevant. Done wasting my time with you. What a great way for you to represent your business. I’m confident people reading this back and forth will clearly see your unprofessionalism. I must admit tho, looking forward to your senseless and meaningless response.
Owner is rude to say the least went in to sell a music processor that we had been told to bring back if ace drums didn’t want it and he came at us yelling and all but pushing our equipment off the counter on the floor employee was even baffled by his attitude will never go back or send anyone there again
