I had such an amazing experience here purchasing a digital piano. The staff was professional, helpful and very efficient. The piano was in perfect condition. After two horrible experiences at Musician’s Friend, I’m so thankful to have found Jackson’s Music in Buford. Thanks again!
Sons trumpet was having a valve issue. Jacob was able to fix it in no time. Super grateful for his speedy assistance!!
The 2 gentlemen were really polite and informative!!!!
Chad was very helpful.
Always pleasant – always professional and it’s been that way since I moved into the area!
I’ve read some of the complaints here and I’ve not had those experiences and I shop there a couple times a year. I also understand how smaller music stores value the integrity of their new products by trying to limit maring the guitar finish with picks. You wanna do that you’re right- go to Guitar Center.
First rate staff and ownership and first rate lessons with an experienced staff!
I’ll keep going back!
Staff is nice, small selection tho. Mostly beginner instruments and school band instruments.
DO NOT GO HERE!! i went in to rent an instrument for my daughter for school and got such negativity from THE OWNER’S WIFE. First i was questioned because i only gave them my cell number and refused to give them my 13 year old daughters phone number. I got questioned 5 times if she was really my daughter simply because we have different last name and that was after i told her it was for my daughter. “Are you sure its your daughter?”. Then she said “i am going to be honest, this whole last name not matching throws up red flags for me” and gave me a weird look. I told her i will gladly go elsewhere and to put the stupid instrument back. I will not be questioned with such stupid questions that clearly have an underlying issue to them.
Everyone else was very polite and helpful so kudos to them , their service was good.
I called to see if they could do a repair on my son’s flute. They said to bring it in, they could do it but would charge an extra
20% for a rush job. I dropped it off and called in the next day to see if the repairs had been done, as my son had a Christmas concert he needed it for. I got Doug the repair man on the phone. He said he doesn’t do rush jobs and he was way to busy to deal with it. He treated me very unprofessional and they honestly don’t care about keeping anyone’s business. Please don’t waste your time here as I did.
Don’t go here. They have the worst service ever. I have a clarinet and the thumb rest broke, and I had to get a realignment for my bottom keys and they only fixed my thumb rest but took money for both realignment and my thumb rest. They didn’t fix both things but took charge for both. How pathetic.

Been goin there for years and never want to go elsewhere. Customer service is always awesome. My son is an avid guitar player with all his heart and whenever he leaves the store he feels more knowledgeable and has even more desire to be the best he can be. Foster has so much knowledge he shares that whatever you buy from there you know your getting the best of want you want for the best price. If you go anywhere else your rolling the dice.
Might take a minute to get help in the evenings when lessons are going strong, but the staff are great, helpful and friendly, great prices and a great way to buy local
Sweet and very helpful staff. Nice variety of instruments and plentiful guitars. I enjoy just going there to talk and relax as well as seeing what’s new.
Went in to get some supplies for taking care of a trumpet. They didnt have a huge variety but they did gave neat grab and go packs. They did, however, have a huge selection of guitars, ukuleles and other strings as well as a few brass and woodwinds.
Great deals, great service. It’s always nice to have a local, hometown music store for that personal touch. Lessons are also available. Wish there was a bigger selection there, though–go buy some stuff there so they can afford more space! 🙂
Nice music shop. We are pleased with a kid friendly guitar lessons taught by Mr. Mike.
Update:Feb 2022. Still attending lessons and my child has taken a liking to guitar. His finger placement has gotten better and knowing the proper strings for several chords.
Employees act unprofessional around minors….disturbing experience.
Horrible customer service. My dad and I went into the store. The gentleman who answered our question was more eager to talk with the other non paying people in the store. Maybe a bad day? I know I won’t go back.
Rude employees, wouldn’t be surprised if i asked them about squier guitars and they’d start laughing
Aside from the previous childish review, we are a Marketing and Creative Service Company that specializes in MESSAGE ON HOLD for clients all over the United States. Fast, Friendly Service…ALWAYS!

I called Town Center Music for a same day service and they were able to help within minutes. My daughter broke an E string on her Violin and we needed it replaced asap before her school concert. These guys were very professional with amazing customer service. I will definitely be back. I didn’t realize how close this shop was until today and I’m so glad I found it.
Everyone here is extremely helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable. I am a near complete beginner on guitar and was helped exceedingly by the very kind and nonjudgemental staff in which equipment would be good for me. The staff here is devoted to helping you get quality equipment that is best suited for your needs and takes times out of their day to listen to you and help. In addition, the teachers I have worked with have been extremely credited and helpful and the technicians skilled. Thanks!
We’ve had nothing but good service and professional lessons here for 3 years. We love our local music shop! All the instructors are great but our experience with Greg has been wonderful.
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Good
Taught my kids to play guitar
Went in there a couple days ago. Not a huge fan. Workers aren’t very pleasant people and they come up to you every 10 minutes kind of giving you the hint to leave if you’re not gonna buy anything like you’re in there too long.
Great for beginners I guess. Don’t come in here expecting higher quality equipment and experience. Name of their game is to hook beginners onto cheap equipment (which is totally fine) and get you out. No hanging out in there jamming for an extended time.
Maybe I came in on a bad day.
Store is dirty poor selection not real big
Not where u want to shop you find poorly trained staff and not music people I shopped here off and on for years . just not good pepole

Best used music store in the south! Ask for Josiah when you go there! Super knowledgeable guy and gets you exactly what your looking for. Prices on things are a great deal on literally everything.
Amazing store with amazing people – it is organized very nicely, the staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, accommodating, knowledgeable, and helpful, and the selection will make any musician’s heart melt. They gave me an incredible bundle deal on a pricey electric drumset and were very patient and non-pushy as I went back and forth between options. They never tried to shove anything in my face for a sale or try to distract me with something else to purchase and they worked with my budget as much as possible. They also do a great job following CDC guidelines and take employee and customer safety very seriously.
I really can’t recommend a little gem of a music store like this enough – thanks for the incredible edrums and stellar service guys! I will absolutely be back!
Very knowledgeable staff for any instruments. Learners to pros.
Good selection and fair prices.
Love this place
Guitar Center offers more for your used gear
Poor customer service. Salesman was disrespectful. Had to walk out on a purchase. Very disappointed.

Stopped in with my husband to drop of his guitar for a set-up. Katie was super helpful, answered all of his questions and took the time to let him demo an amp. She was amazingly friendly and excited to be taking about guitars, great experience!
Amazing staff! The facility is very nice as well. I am so glad that there’s a place that repairs clarinets! Their staff is very knowledgeable about all band instruments. They have everything related to band instruments, as well as huge collection of guitars!

Took my Strat in for a much needed setup, the new owner Brennan knocked it out and addressed a couple unlevel frets, all for a price I thought was very reasonably. My guitar plays and looks great! I’ll definitely be taking my other guitars in for setups in the future!
Great music shop! Excellent selection and super knowledgeable staff. Brought in a guitar that needed some love and they knocked it out of the park. Highly recommend this business.
I went in to see if the had a Saxaphone for my son. A first year band student.
Very first impression was immediate attention from the staff. The owner, maybe manager, I’m embarrassed that I don’t know, anyways, he gave us a good deal in a nice Saxaphone. Through in some Reeds and a cleaning kit. Oh let’s not forget the case!
I was looking over his guitars, I consider myself a ok guitarists , I love looking at guitars and playing ones way out of my talent, and price range.
I joked about one day buying a Gibson Les Paul like the one on his wall. He actually had 2. I left there with one!! And a Nice Hard Case, Guitar Strap, patch cords, pics, A Peavey Classic 30 Tube Amp … and spent less then I thought the Saxaphone would cost!!
3 days later I work up the nerve to take my new Guitar for a spin… I couldn’t get it into tune, intonation seemed off.. I became a nutcase quick.
I walked into the shop, Les Paul in hand and he knew something was wrong. His tech. took it to the back and before too long was bringing it back. Just the slightest of adjustments to the truss fixed it right on up. I was so happy I left with a 150.00 effects processor/pedal.
I’ve been back one time since and he’s just as friendly and personable as the last times we met. I went in looking for a used Fender..fell in love with a Gretch.
Getting ready to visit his shop now for some strings. They make it hard not to buy that Gretch just to support them and keep them going here in Canton! I will never buy from another guitar superstore again! It’s hard to imagine anyone else getting my buisness!
Great staff. Very friendly. Prices were great!
I bid 4000.00 on a Gibson Gold Top guitar listed at 4,999.00 . They countered my offer with 5,299.00?? I’ve never heard of anything like this.
The store counter to my offer was more than the original price?? That’s so wrong. Hoof luck dealing with these guys.
Booooo
The entire experience there is subpar. First, it has absolutely no character. Everything is very sterile and impersonal. Maybe it’s a personal preference, but I prefer a bit of an offbeat feeling in music stores. Second, I understand you wouldn’t carry instruments or other big ticket items for lefties, but picks (banjo – thumb) are dirt cheap and keeping a bag of them around shouldn’t be an imposition. Your function is to sell that sort of thing. The goal is to always be able to say, yes I have that. Third, and most importantly, the people who run it are just awful at dealing with the public. As some have said, they do comment on customers behind their backs. I have had this same complaint from people I know personally. I’m 50 and clean cut. The older guy literally followed me around the store when I visited (you can view 99.9% of the place from the counter), as if he was selling diamonds and I was going to shove them in my pockets. All in all, there are better places and better folks to deal with than these.
17. Big House Guitars
Address: 2323 Cheshire Bridge Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30324 , Chester , Georgia , United States
Love this place. It is a very well designed and curated store. Amazing guitar and record collections. What set it apart was the excellent staff. They are courteous, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I’m going to buy a guitar there and I can’t wait to spend a bit more time in the store. Do not, do not, do not miss this place.
Russ and the guys at Big House Guitars are the absolute best. The carry the best in musical equipment at the fairest of prices. They are straight shooters. Go see them today and take home your next favorite guitar and amp.
These guys are so kind and deliver quality results. I came in with a headstock break on a guitar that is not worth so much (entry level acoustic electric Alvarez) and explained that it had a lot of sentimental value. I had already been turned away once by another Atlanta guitar store and was very worried it would truly be an “Ex-guitar”. But Ben and Mike took care of my baby and put it back together. I’ve played it every day since I got it back it’s been like reconnecting with an old friend. Thanks to the guys at big house I look forward to setups on the repaired guitar and many others I own.
Friendly and professional. Offer a fair price and paid promptly
The staff was very friendly and very attentive. All the gear seems to be in great condition, but overall the prices are a too high for this musician’s budget. Watch out for that undisclosed “checkout fee” 😉
Had a lot of records that haven’t been put out or put in sections.
Disregard, disrespect and unprofessional…
I had a horrible experience at this store. They told me it would take 7 days to change the strings and when I went to get the guitar it was just as I left it. They didn’t even touch the guitar.
I wanted to buy a Gibson and didn’t buy it because of my bad experience. They missed an opportunity for additional business, and I will never visit this store again.
I do, however, recommend Maple Street Guitars which in my opinion is the best guitar shop in GA. I was very happy with my experience there! They`re professionals.
Went to Big House for son’s 24th birthday present: his first ever guitar. Unfortunately this is not the place for that. If you’re not an experienced guitarist, expect to get dropped like a hot potato.
I don’t like writing negative reviews and try to work it out in good faith before. I spent a LARGE sum of money on instruments at Big House Guitars and got burnt. Upon the inspection I (luckily!!) requested, the $$$$$ vintage Les Paul turned out not to be true to representation (only 1 PAF pickup instead of two … oops, sorry for the mix up!). I still decided to proceed and worked out a deal including several trade in instruments. They simply didn’t honor it: I received one guitar with cracks, which they half-assedly tried to pin on UPS before telling me it was like that when I tried it… Nice! They never took my guitars agreed as trade-ins, leaving me on the hook for selling them… I called Russ the store owner many times, who ghosted me, leaving me to receiv lip service by email from the crew. VERY disappointed. It’s a cool shop and the guys seem friendly. But sadly, I wouldn’t buy anything ever again from them. BUYER BEWARE.

Great teachers for all instruments and a large selection of music.
Thank you to the staff. I brought my daughters Clarinet in for repair which I bought from an online retailer, and they were able to fix it on the spot. I will definitely look to do business with them on future purchases. I did not realize we had music stores that sold so much stuff in the county.
String prices are a little higher than a bigger chain like guitar center or ken stanton. But not much more. If you live in area you’d spend that in gas getting to guitar center. So very fair. Very helpful staff. They are friendly and receptive. Lots of guitars. And unique ones from popular brands. I be digging it.
Quick. Super helpful. Plenty of staff.
Great staff- very friendly. Good selection of acoustic guitar strings. I have worked with Grayson several times for string replacement, set-up, fret cleaning and conditioning for an old Ovation Balladeer, and she sounds and plays better than ever!
The customer service is awful I definitely won’t be back there every again
Had to make a quick stop to grab a few things. I know it was closing time. I was trying to make it quick. When they started harassing my husband reminding him when they close he left and we took our business somewhere else. Customers want to feel welcomed, not reminded how unfortunate you are to have to lock the door right at 5:00.

Great music store. Lots of inventory at good prices. The owner was very helpful. They had exactly what I needed.
Brian & his crew helped me pull off a great surprise for my son’s 16th birthday. Not only did they give me a great deal, they made the process smooth & stress free. Definitely 5 stars… Looking forward to the next purchase!
It’s ok for this size town but if you’re looking for music you have to order it. Very nice personnel.
Great people really good service would have given 5 stars but prices are not competitive
At least 15% higher than Guitar center
Man they’ve got some nice stuff in there!
