Suprisingly great selection for a small store, good variety of genre and fair prices. Employees very nice and helpful.
First visit. Bought 6 albums. High quality, fair prices, knowledgeable salesperson. Willing to take notes for what we are looking for in the future. Will definitely be back.
Great little store with excellent service and very friendly people, great selection of vinyl and accessories, I highly recommend it.
Really good quality and nice people.

COTTONWOOD has a record store!!!!!
Im so happy someone opened a vinyl record store here. The owners are so nice. This store is still developing its catalog but still have some gems. I stop in about once a month to see what’s new. I can always find something.they are always expanded their Selection. I love that they’re focusing on used records. They also have some new record. They definitely put out the cream of the crop with the used records. I’m so excited to see how the store develops over time.
They also have a passion for quality listening hardware. If you’re looking to step up on your audio sound game they can point you in the right direction with tubed and solid-state amps as well as pro quality turntables.
Blast from the past! Cute clean store. They have classic records like CCR and The Beatles and others. They have it good and organized.
I tried three times to come to this shop during open hours and every time there is a note in the window with a reason why nobody is there.
4. Jeff Beck’s Just4Fun
Address: 1560 E Cherry St #101, Cottonwood, AZ 86326, United States , Clarkdale , Arizona , United States
Jeff Beck and his unique store are truly one of a kind!!! If you’re into pocket knives, daggers, swords, light sabers, shields, medival body armor, guitars, drums, rings, bracelets, and the helmet Gerard Butler wore in 300 well then this is the place to go. What sets this place apart from other stores is his policy on handling merchandise. He encourages it. If you want to play a guitar before you spend any money on it, pick it up and see how it feels. If you want to wield Excalibur, then, by God, wield away. As a musician myself, it’s refreshing to find a place where You’re not only allowed to handle the instruments but play them to get a real feel for it. Jeff is a wonderful human being and his store is awesome! Go check it out!!
He has a lot of stuff, a little bit for everyone that’s for sure! A little pricey but still fun.
Lots of everything… nice guy salesperson…
A little of everything
The owner is a hovering creep.
Enter at your own risk. Delta covid only needs 5 seconds exposure.
Walked into the store and the first thing the scrappy looking man behind the counter said was why are you wearing a mask. My husband’s told him it’s because of covid. He told us that covid is not real. If we are going to wear a mask we could leave. We weren’t welcome to shop there as long as we were going to wear a mask. So we left. NOT COOL!!!
5. Tommy Rocks
Address: 110 Main St, Jerome, AZ 86331, United States , Clarkdale , Arizona , United States
Tommy Anderson is a great dude, and has a sweet little shop in Jerome. Please visit him and support the shop.
Super chill shop, Tommy was super cool to talk to
Awesome place for unique items
Dude man. Stick to some normal operating hours. I’ve passed through Jerome twice now and you haven’t been opened when you said you were supposed to be. It’s 10:30 am now says your supposed to be open on google. Sorry for the poor review but really wanna check out your store
An awesome rock and roll memorabilia shop in historic Jerome Arizona…kind of hard to find tho.
Such a cool place and the views from here are amazing!
Cuz i dig maynard. Duh.
Interesting place
This place was awesome. A little quirky, but has a decent record collection (has a small hip hop section), a pretty good bar (the cider is delicious), and even a barber shop. There is a lot of visible cursing, so maybe not a great place to bring kids, if you are offended by that.
It kinda weird out my sister and I when we walked in there. I’m not a fan but it’s a pretty interesting place to look around.
Went in with a group of friend and the employees down stairs, a girl and guy, was so incredibly rude to us all. They were smug and entitled. We are all adults in our 40’s and nonconfrontational as well as fans of the owner but we all left and won’t be back.
Lame!
I’ve visited the store and wine tasting room twice now while in town on travels. Cool experience, but it could be so much better with nicer, less pretentious staff. I’m amazed at how the staff, both times, were able to make me feel like I’m annoying just by being there. Like by asking a question, I was interrupting them from their jam on . For a unique experience, I wanted to get my son a haircut and inquired at the front of the store and the woman at the register practically laughed and said “I don’t think he would even do a kid’s haircut, I COULD ask if you want.” So I passed on that offer, please god no, I would never make you walk down those steps to ask such a question. I actually felt embarrassed that I even asked, like I should have known that to work on a child would be an offensive proposition! Later I checked the scheduling website and it said kid’s haircuts right on there. Hilarious. Yes, I still spent >$500 on Maynard’s brands, restaurants and wines while here, but it coulda been more, Maynard, it coulda been more.
There is a lot packed into this little store. It’s like a mini super Target.
Awesome!
Always can find someone to help me if I can’t find something.
Enjoy the new Dollar General store in Cottonwood, AZ located on highway 89A.
The convenient location
Reasonable prices, friendly staff. Usually can find a wide variety of clearance items, although they’re usually unmarked and you have to ask the prices of each!
Went to this store to get some supplies and customer service is horrible. Ashley assisted me and had major attitude problem. Stick to other local stores!
She verbally abuses her employees in front of people
8:55 and the night mgr would let me grab a bottle of glue but there were still three people in line and thier door wasn’t locked and closing is 9 pm
11. Old School Studios
Address: 867 Hampshire Ave, Jerome, AZ 86331, United States , Clarkdale , Arizona , United States
Nestled in Jerome, Arizona is a recording studio that really captures the magic of the area here. Engineer John Margulies is an excellent musician and producer in his own right and makes the creative process a breeze. There was no doubt this was where our band would record our first album!
First of all this Studio is super cool and very well put together. Pictures of iconic musicians can be found in every room. the atmosphere is very inviting and provides space that feels open and accepting. Jon Margulies is incredibly professional, Knowledgable and talented. He is supportive, and always willing to share ideas while still letting you, as the creator the choose what you what to hear.
I am forever grateful for having worked with Jon Margulies from Old School Studios in the creation of my first album, Shine. Jon has the mad skills of a genius, the musical talent of a virtuoso, and a heart as big as the ocean!
If you are looking to record music with a true pro, look no further. Of course, please get in line after me…I’ve got another album to start!
Sonja was beyond fantastic in all aspects of preparing and performing for our wedding! She was quick to follow-up with us with any questions we had and even learned 2 new songs for our special day, even going so far as to find the perfect backing track for our first dance (which she played wonderfully!). She was the epitome of professionalism. She arrived an hour early to ensure proper set-up of her audio equipment, meet with our officiant, and warm-up before her performance. In addition to playing the ceremony processional and first dance, she also provided music before the ceremony began and during cocktail hour! Our guests loved her and she added such a special touch to our wedding. Lastly, Sonja was simply a pleasure to have at our wedding. She is a genuine and warm person that my mother-in-law was delighted to chat with as she packed up her equipment after the ceremony. If you have an upcoming event in need of a violinist, do yourself a favor and call Sonja, she’s the best!!!
Sonja played violin at our wedding in Sedona and was phenomenal! She is extremely talented and such a nice person. Communication was easy and she has a vast list of songs and types of music she knows already to choose from, she even brought a microphone and speaker for our officiant. I would highly recommend booking Sonja!!
Sonja played violin at our wedding in Sedona and was amazing! She was great with communicating and lets you pick out what songs you would like her to play. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
13. John’s Corner Music Shop

Very friendly and helpful. Walked out with a nice amp for my son…thank you.

Came in looking for a baritone ukulele, and ended up making some good friends. The prices are great and the service is amazing. As a young (16) aspiring performer visiting from California, I came in with my grandma and was looking for a ukulele with good quality… and found more than I was looking for. John is so sweet and I got to jam out with him for a little bit. I have never received such amazing customer service from a music store like this before. I would definitely recommend this store to friends and family.
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
14. PRESCOTT VALLEY MUSIC – PV MUSIC
Address: 8561 Florentine Rd suite a, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314, United States , Clarkdale , Arizona , United States
I had a wonderful experience picking up my very first guitar at this shop. I could not be happier. The owner Russel and his wife are both really nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I brought in a couple things for trade and felt that the offer was definitely reasonable. These folks really care about people and take the time to answer your questions. I would definitely trade or shop here again. The energy at this shop is what I would describe as good vibes and good karma all the way around.
Russell is a great guy. Love going in and looking around at all his guitars
Had the greatest experience getting my violin strings replaced + tuned at PV Music. Russell took the time to teach me many tips in caring for my violin. Highly recommend this fine establishment for any of your music needs.
I stopped by Prescott Valley Music looking for someone to repair my flute. Even though they specialize in guitar repair, he fixed my flute within minutes at no charge. I will definitely go back with my guitar needs.
Went there with a friend.
Don’t buy vinyl from them
Sadly, and most regrettably, I must report that Russell, the proprietor of PVM, used his prior good business standing to consign, endorse, solicit, directly accept partial payment for, a fraudulently, utterly misrepresented $3k instrument, that is so INTENTIONALLY damaged (a 40” gong, sawn into THREE parts, then poorly soldered back together) that it is basically rendered useless as a musical instrument. He also personally/professionally arranged for its delivery and attested to the instrument’s ‘excellent’ condition (all in email and voicemails, still retained as evidence).
Initially responsive, and seemingly aghast, he and the seller he worked with, and as agent for, now decline to correspond or address this, each saying neither or the other is responsible.
A $3k scam?????
BEWARE!!
I think all they sell is USED. Even patch cords. 🙁 Totally disgusting and disappointed.
15. Verde Valley Music
Address: 1500 E AZ-89A, Cottonwood, AZ 86326, United States , Clarkdale , Arizona , United States
Best music store in the area! Can buy individual guitar strings here
Great place! I went to the same music store for 15 years and then moved away and found this place! Great place, will be going back!
They teach me guitar skills
They’re always close when in their page says it’s open I’ve been wasting my time going there because my drive is 30 mins! But they bring good service to their costumers when they’re open!!
if you have any technical questions regarding music instruments or equipment, don’t ask the woman who owns the place. she told me today shes not a professional and that she just sells cables. i tried to find an xlr to TRS cable or adapter and she said shes never heard of this in her entire life.
I got the feeling I wasn’t appreciated by the woman there. I’m relearning to play guitar and needed new strings. With each question I asked I got the distinct impression she resented my needing additional info from her. I will not go there again.
This store is a JOKE!! The ONLY music store in the Cottonwood-Sedona area and I feel like they don’t even want to sell any of their merchandise, oh and don’t bother playing any of the instruments (especially if you haven’t washed your hands before entering the store). The inventory is average at best, but there are no percussion instruments except for a few cymbals on stands and one set of congas. I could go on and on, but I suggest you try it out for yourself. I guarantee you’ll be seeking help at Arizona Music Pro, or online.
I’m surprised these guys are still in business! Been coming here occasionally only because it’s the closest music shop near me! There items are all over priced! the woman that works there always has an additude with me and I’m sure she does with most of her walk in’s! She always says that there struggling and are going out of business but im not sure if that’s true i think she just likes to scam you out of your money! Let’s just say that really are going out of business my advice to her is maybe if she lowers her prices to normal prices and offers discounts and be polite to her customers and try not to force people in to buying things they might succeed! Worst music shop I ever been too! If you need some gear with alot of choice and discounts and friendly people that will make you feel good if you buy somthing from them and also have more experience with gear and knowledge and know how to run a business go to Arizona Music Pro it’s in Flagstaff!
BTW I think they should change the name of there business! Verde Valley Discount Music! What a joke!
Poor customer service I was trying a guitar for literally less than a minute and they were complaining about how the fresh new strings on a $150 dollar guitar would go bad… then my buddy was using the bathroom and they were rushing him to get out I’ve been in multiple guitar stores and never had problems like this a day in my life it was definitely meant to have a review just Incase someone has the same problems
