Elizabeth and her Mom are great! We have bought several items from them.
My favorite store ever!!! Something for everyone!
My mother and I stopped in today and spent about an hour shopping. The store was quiet and cool and offers a very nice array of furniture and collectibles at reasonable prices. The proprietor, Shirley, is very friendly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back!
This started out as more of a thrift store. We returned after a year and voila! ANTIQUES! This will be on our antique trail from now on.
This is and ever changing place to shop some of the best antiques, collectables and unusual home decor item in the area. The store is very large with many booths, you can easily spend hours in here trying to find your latest treasure. The lady who owns it is very nice and her mom,who also works there is knowledgeable and fun to talk to. She can often give you background info on a item..as well as find you something you have been looking for. Stop by when you have a few hours to look at this great shop in downtown Clarkesville.
Great selection of smalls and furniture
$1 worth of 50 modern, machine made marbles in a jar for $10. Collectables that aren’t. Clothing that really belongs in a Goodwill. A “WWII” satchel that wasn’t produced until, at best, the 60’s. I get that it’s a consignment situation, but such blatant gouging will get you a one star review any day.
If you just slapped me in the face when I walked in and took $20 out of my pocket, I’d have given you two stars for being unique and interesting.
4. Grant Street Music Room
Address: 583 Grant St, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
Great food and service, owners are very friendly and we always enjoy the music.
Always a great place to be. Great people. Great food.
Good place to grab a beer
Has been family oriented, my 14 year old daughter loves karaoke, which is every Friday. Just found out tonight it’s now strictly 21 and older. People there loved to hear my daughter sing, we spent money n had fun. It is connected to the bowling alley, so all seemed natural. The families stayed near the stage, tybee bar is too the back. We’d drive almost an hour just so she could sing a couple songs, n we’d listen to the other (many very good) singers. Had no trouble. Evidently there was too much abuse of a privilege. My daughter cried! She enjoyed it so, and it’s gone. Sad day! Kind of understand. Not a lot available for a really talented kid.
Food is great but they reallt need to work on there customer service
Great place for friends and family, great selection of alcohol and delicious food!
Wish y’all sold liquor
waited for service and 40 minutes later got up and walked out. When I ask if we could get service with drinks and a menu was told they do not wait on customers anymore but we had to go to the bar to order food and drinks. There were 3 of us. Who wants to stand in front of a bar to order. This is the 3rd time we were not able to get waited ok. but rest assured it will be the last time. Next time we want to go to kayoke we will order food and take it in with us if there is ever another time. and no they were not busy maybe 25 /30 inside. Oh but yet the guy waited on both the tables beside us. Even after I asked to be served we were not offered menus or drinks. All the bar staff was RUDE. Yep next time I will support David the Songdragon but I’ll take pizza and wings from Papa John’s.
5. A to Zinc Health Store & Smoothie Bar
Address: 204 E Louise St, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
I love this place, the staff, and their amazing smoothies and inventory. Last time I came in for a smoothie, it was pouring rain. Because I was lugging a carseat with an infant, the owner kindly walked me to my car with an umbrella so that baby and I did not get wet. It was SO kind. Can’t recommend this place enough! It’s a GREAT resource for any kind of health food, vitamin, supplement, oils, whatever you can think of.
Great store but a little high priced
Rufino and his staff are the absolute best! Very kind, friendly and helpful! And might I mention… THE BEST SMOOTHIES IN THE STATE!
Love the smoothie bar and the great service. This shop provides healthy alternatives to various medications. The staff is always very kind and willing to help, the only complaint I could have is there is no Medium size smoothie servings and the price range is rather high.
STOP SELLING EXPIRED PRODUCTS. Not okay. Sad.
Love the store but yesterday I wasn’t very pleased when I went in and not only was the staff not wearing masks, one of them actually walked up to me (wearing a mask), TOUCHED me and asked if I needed any help. One would think a health store located so very close to a hospital, would follow CDC guidelines.
6. Old Clarkesville Mill Antique Mall
Address: 583 Grant St, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
I’ve been here a few times. It’s definitely worth a visit. Tons of antique shops with a large variety of different items. We took my nephew bowling and he had a blast. I am not a bowler but lanes seemed nice and well maintained. They have some really nice pool tables and a full bar and restaurant.
Wonderful place. If you’re a antique lover don’t miss this place place . Prices were good also.
Had a blast taking the kids bowling and they make some amazing mixed drinks
It’s a pretty neat place to walk around and just browse at different things and just see what was once a part of people’s lives. And it’s a nice way to spend a lazy Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
If your there to browse I am sure you will find a treasure. However, my allergies went haywire in there so I couldn’t really enjoy it
This is a great place to spend a long afternoon! Very organized and clean, with well marked and reasonably priced items.
The one deterrent was the outside of the building that displayed numerous political flags/banners. It would be advised to keep political ideology away from retail business, in my opinion. We almost left upon arriving and seeing this.
Ok
Upon entering the store a male employee behind the counter made eye contact with my wife and eye twice but did not greet or even speak to us..at checkout another male cashier also did not speak to us except to state purchase total..also never even said thank you…he did not offer to wrap the fragile glass item we purchased..terrible customer service
Not happy
7. Rich and Savvy Cigar and Bourbon Lounge
Address: 1442 Washington St, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
Outstanding experience! Great atmosphere. Quality cigars and bourbon!
Fantastic cigar bar with an excellent drink and cigar selection. The owners are the most fantastic couple who engage each and every customer and treat them like long time friends. This has become our regular hangout spot to relax, converse, and enjoy a cigar.
Excellent place to enjoy a good cigar. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Visit once and you will visit frequently.
So, I brought my project guitar to Ruth Guitars that I’ve been holding onto for years. I asked him to build it how he would like it. Oops! Turned out way better than I had ever thought! He was able to install the neck, wire in a crazy cool pick up, added strings and locking bar for the tuners. Superb work! I’ve played several of his guitars and they all have great action and are super comfortable! Highly recommended!
Chris at Ruth Guitars is pretty much the only person I trust w my gtrs. I play over 200 shows a year, and trust Chris w all my electronic work, set ups, he’s even lent me a couple custom made LG Series guitars for high profile gigs. His custom builds come standard w superior hardware including premium handwired pickups. From repairs to tone-shaping and beyond, Chris at Ruth Guitars always goes above expectations and over-delivers a product that is eye-catching, fun to play, sounds impossibly good, custom made to your specs, and affordable. Call him TODAY for any repair or maintenance, its getting cold out! You’ll want to get your hands on one of his numerous custom builds (If you can get it off his wall long enough I recommend the black LG model) and start spec’ing YOUR handmade custom model. Pictured below is the TC model w literally too many tonal options to list here. Your tonal palette is only limited by your own imagination. Chris can bring your dream sound to your hands! I wish I could give more than 5-stars!
9. Redbox
Address: 199 E Louise St, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of up front wheelchair parking
Good
Parking is bogus
At least they didn’t mess up my drive through order.
Burgers good , fries can be barely warm (always have to ask for fresh) , staff not very friendly , even with drinks being $1 any size I always have to ask for the large cup
Needs better management on night shift. Needs more responsible adults and less children to run place.
The absolute most rude food establishment in Clarkesville, and the food is never fresh on the night shift, and getting a simple order correct seems to be impossible.
I mean it’s a McDonald’s, so you’re not going in expecting Michelin star cuisine or anything. But for a McDonald’s it’s average
Very helpful staff and great place to donate old furniture. They even give free pickup for the big furnitures.
Love shopping for a good cause.
Good selection
Never comeing here agin i forgot my mask and they told me to leave and then there were 2 other people with out a mask and they told them nothing. Also i went a week before and the worker wasent wering one.
I spend a lot there $100 of dollars. I am surly at least 2 to 3 a week to buy stuff. Today I was very upset because someone picked my bag of clothes and walked out the door. These were U was really needing so I am very upset. My clothes should not been sitting the counter at the front for someday to walk out with. I am a very good customer and I go of my way to shop there. Very bad exsperience for me today. The lady apologize to me for what happened but I am upset I lost my stuff. I was in there a very long shopping to have had somebody walk out the door with my stuff I so needed and wanted. Some people just are not honest but I am I will very surprised if my stuff is brought back because got it got it for free.
Drove a long distance. Online and sign said didnt close till 3. Everything locked at 2. Knocked and no respect or courtesy to come to door and tell us. Just a cut throat gesture across the neck. Thanks!
13. Lake and Laurel Company
Address: 1358 Washington St, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
Great store in Downtown Clarkesville.
There are a variety of items to choose from which include bath and beauty, jewelry, home decor, books, baby and kids and even gifts for men. This store has the best price point compared to anything around. Can’t wait to grab some fall items the fall candles are amazing!
I had such such a great time shopping here. What a little gem! It’s filled with lovely things at reasonable prices. Very nicely decorated and merchandise is beautifully displayed. I can’t wait to come back next year!
Love the Christian item they offer. So happy there is a store in town that offers a variety of Jesus lovin’ gifts! Hope they are here for years to come.
I really liked this shop. If I could change anything, it would be the music selection. Loud Christian music is not my thing. I might go back in in a few months because they have a nice selection of things for the home. I didn’t see a men’s section mentioned in the previous review.
14. The Corner Cupboard
Address: 1732 Old Hwy 441, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
It was a very fun and relaxing experience. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely do it again next time we visit.
During our spring break trip to Georgia we found Valerie’s store. It was a rainy day, therefore perfect for an indoor family activity. You can easily spend couple hours being creative and design your pottery. We received our items yesterday per mail and they turned out great. You should go and see yourself!
i give it tw0
16. Redbox
Address: 5000 Talmadge Dr, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
Very helpful. My Daughter was looking for a Ukulele.
Really interesting little music store full of local band albums, tons of stringed instruments, as well as a few woodwind and brass. There’s neat memorabilia on the walls to look at and the people are friendly.
Great place for musical instruments/supplies. My kids love taking lessons there too!
Great experience but i needed something very specific. The guys working however were of great help and very easy to speak with
Cool laid back store. They focus on acoustic instruments, but also have a few electrics, keyboards, pa gear, etc. Mostly focused on affordable instruments. Also they have lessons there. I recommend stopping in if you’re in the area! (I was on vacation from Atlanta).
Odd hours for a store, most people are working during the time they are open. But good quality items can be found inside. Just wish they’d be open when I could get to them for a purchase.
It has the “creepy pawn shop” feel about the place. I was eager to leave.
Not very friendly or concerned with helping. Pretty indifferent
Needed strings about 4 pm on a Saturday, searched music stores near me, I was next door. Lady didn’t care if I made a perchance or not,she was ready to close. Too bad I didn’t want to buy a guitar.
18. Dollar General
Address: 391 Grandis Heights Cir, Clarkesville, GA 30523 , Clarkesville , Georgia , United States
Best staff, best organized around. Other Dollar General stores should follow suite.
Nice folks, clean store and restroom. Now has a really large frozen/fridge area.
Good prices
Always nice service and everything is convenient. The location is great too. Always has the necessities and everything you need. I love that they added a market. Great for pick me ups when you don’t want to run to walmart. They also have baby items which is amazing given I live close by and constantly need to stock up.
Store was well organized. Cashier was kind of a jerk.
Why they always cloing early? They blame their DM every time too!
Rude employees!!! Just stopped to get my cat some treats and they were closed with a sign on the door saying gone to lunch for an hr. After seeing the sign and starting to turn around, an employee, male knocked on the door to get my attention and screamed don’t you see we are closed, bye!!! Rude as heck to an 8 month pregnant girl. Just wow!!!
Wasted trip trying to drop off FedEx package. Too many cant’s.
Love my haircut from Cassie! She does a great job!
Best place around! Ask for Cassie!!
Great salon!!! My appointment was with Cassi and she was awesome!
This was a wonderful place to go I got the best haircut there that I have in a long long time I will return
Great experience with Hailey. She fit me in when my appointment was canceled right before my wedding, and she did an amazing job.
Pretty good place to go, especially for a men’s haircut with Cassie. However, the reason I’m giving them a 2 star review is because they never answer the phone. I’ve never had to call a place as many times as this just to try to schedule an appointment. They definitely need to straighten this part of their business out.
I had to call 6 times before someone would answer. Then I asked to make a appointment for a style for a upcoming wedding we are apart of. The man said someone would call me back in 20 mins. That 20 mins turn into 2 days. He called back and left a voicemail ( I didn’t answer I was decorating for a party) he said the stylist could get me in the Saturday I needed them. So I called back within 10 minutes of him calling. A girl answers I told her the man called and I need to make an appointment for next Saturday. She said the stylist would have to call me. That She would call me in 5 mins. Well never received a call. Will never use them.
I want to say this is a nice salon but if you have to cancel last min. or your kids end up sick, you can’t get them to answer there phone on Mondays because thef closed. they will charge you $50. That to me is ridiculous because as most of us have kids and life in general you don’t have time to keep calling. And even if I left a message she still wouldn’t of had time to fill my spot for I was her first appt. they don’t work on mondays so they wouldn’t of gotten the message until Tuesday morning Its crazy they want to charge $50 and they don’t have a cancellation policy anywhere in there Establishment letting you know this. However if you are a new customer go to there FB page go all the way back to December 18, 2018 and you will find where they put a post. I’m sorry but I don’t go back that far on someones FB. That should be in Nash and Co. about us not 1 post. Just heads up if life gets in there way they will charge you $50. Thanks and I hope everyone has a Bless Day.
