My 6 year old son has been coming here for about a year. Mrs Butler is extremely patient and works so well with him. I would recommend Monarch Music Academy for anyone interested in learning how to read music and play piano.
An excellent teacher in incredible subjects, if your trying to learn piano in this area she is truly your best option.
Best teacher I have ever had. Very good at motivating students. Teaches to the student. Studied for 4 years and plan to continue indefinitely.

Prices are about average. I take Bass lessons there, the instructor Jud is a great instructor. After 28 lessons (30 minutes) I am able to play 10 + songs.
Ken and his staff are very user friendly with great attitudes.
We took my daughter’s flute to be fixed. Amazing and professional.
Need to hire me, for part time need some energy and a new face. For business.
Fine, but pricy
Staff is helpful and friendly.
Steer clear from this place. All sales are final and no refunds or returns accepted. I was kicked out for requesting my money back on being sold a used broken guitar priced, and sold, as a new item. All instruments look dusty and used with prices that reflect new items. STAY AWAY
This place is great. I would recommend it to anybody. It’s a fantastic music store. The guys really know what they’re talking about they have. Quitman and are very friendly with the same tactic atmosphere.
Take this experience for whatever it is worth. Needed some work done to my acoustic. Came in one day, the luthier was gone. No biggie, life happens. Was told the he will be back tomorrow. ‘Came in the next day, he is not there. Finally another day, called in to make sure the luthier is there, which he was. I told them I will be stopping by shortly. Came in within 20min, luthier is gone for the day. I am not sure what is up with with this shop. Good luck catching the guy at work.
Honest and fair!! Never had a problem. Great guys at Woody’s Pawn!!!!!
I love the guys at the Woody’s, they are a good group, willing to wheel and deal!
The only thing is that that this number listed is a fax number. 🙁 I need to contact them, but have no phone number that works to talk with them about a layaway and don’t want to lose the money I have paid on it so far. hmmmm
Went to return a faulty laptop explained to who I assume is the owner that I bought the computer used it for 2 days and it didn’t work it told me no boot device he proceeded to argue with me and blame me saying I got a virus which mind you there are 2 anti-virusesboth active on the laptop I finally convinced him to give me my money back when he did he slammed it on the table this gentleman was completely unsatisfactory which judging by the black eye he had he’s like that at home I will not be bringing my business back
So pricey and very rude
Shady scumbag. I went on Friday to sell an item and they made me an offer. I told them I would like to decide over the weekend and asked if the offer would be good Monday. The guy jokes saying the offer is good forever (EXACT words)
I came back on Monday and was offered $150 less. They admitted to remembering offering me a certain amount on Friday and said they made a mistake.
Great friendly guitar store. Bob was very knowledgeable.
Great guitars, prices, service, people.
Store front of WD is relatively small. But shop has a lot of parts in the back of facility. It helps if you have an idea of what you specifically need before arriving. Small but mighty…. huge inventory in the back room.
This is a cool local guitar shop I found on vacation. It is small on square footage, but big on selection. Very reasonably priced and brilliantly displayed. Lots of beautiful instruments and supplies. Definitely worth a stop in, if you’re a guitarist.
Great place. Parking sucks on Thursday
Your sign said you were open at 10:00 .. I waited until 10:10 and left, not before watching two additional customers leave during that 10 min. interval. Probably won’t be stopping in any time soon.
“The WORST customer experience” ever, from GUITAR TECH. I was excited to go to this Local Shop for sometime now. Not because of a referral but because I’ve been seeing it everyday along my drive to work. Due to the shops inconvenient hours M-F 10am-5pm ONLY, I have not been able to get there until today. Keep in mind I have $1200+ ready to spend on new equipment. I was also looking to get some work done on my Fender p-bass. Tech came out after being asked by front counter, immediately with an attitude, “what do you want?” I explained that I was not completely excited about the big chain stores and I wanted to use a local business. I explained that I would like my instrument looked at, that I had some concerns. He explained that I could leave it, and that would have been fine by me, however I just had a quick question. It was just a quick glance that would say if it were obvious if the neck was twisted. Then he proceeded to tell me to “leave it or go..” I was floored by his continued rudeness. I told him leaving it was fine but I just have a couple questions. He again rudely said “leave it or go..”. So I told him I was very disappointed that I was looking for someone I could trust and buy from going forward. I closed my case up, and proceeded to work towards leaving. I accidentally knock some business cards off the counter, then immediately went to bend doqn to pick them up, but before I could he swore at me basic saying “look at the f#@$ing mess you made. That is when I said fine you pick it up then, and started walking towards the door at which point he continued tobswore and say “get the f@#$ out of the store practically chasing me. I had no intention of want or ever wanting anything from that shop again. I don’t normally write reviews but this needed to be share to protect others from a rude and poorly run business…. Look elsewhere, I will. If anybody knows of a great shop that I can trust and spend my money at, please let me know.
Thanks,
Jerry
I went there but I left because it was no one to take care of the customer, not sure where the employees were at that moment.

Great place would highly recommend always has something good
TJ is the best! Super great man and store! If you need an album you are having a difficult time finding askTJ! Known him almost my whole life, he even has guitar and bass guitar strings can’t recommend his shop enough!!
Great place to buy LP records, but the selection of 45’s are really low. Wish you’d get better inventory and ones with picture sleeves, than those ones on the shelf. Very friendly service. Good location off Tamiami Trail and good parking.
I just got into collecting records and this place has a wide selection from vinyl, CD, dvds that you should find something you would like.

Taking beginner lessons with Carl and so far it’s going great! I think they are reasonably priced and provide top notch inductors! I also have had a string replaced on my bass (which prompted going there for lessons). Overall great place and I’ll continue to go there!
Great staff! We are from out of town and I needed a place to go play guitar for a few minutes. My son who has Down Syndrome was greeted with care and the staff guy played with him, helped him play piano and more. It is pretty rare you can go into a place with breakables and have an employee play with your 5 year old and treat him like his own grandkid.
Much respect, go buy something or take lessons from this place.
Brought my daughter in, she just started taking a strings class in Middle school. She chose the violin. I have no idea where to even begin! So I called up Mr. Music and spoke to Bob and he showed her a few things and tuned for her for free. Super grateful! Thanks!
Came to Ft Myers for an 8 day vacation – My brother has lived in Lee County for 30+ yrs & I have a winter home in Cape Coral. I Researched online for a local music store that would rent an acoustic guitar. (( I just started learning to play the guitar a year ago at age 58 and I thought it’d be nice to do some practicing while in Fla.)) All indications were that Mr Music was the place to go. My brother was going to rent it as web site states they only rent to Lee County residents. They (Mr Music) seemed unprepared for someone coming in off the street wanting to rent an acoustic guitar. The young man that was on duty at the store was Very Nice and I felt bad for him after he got on the phone with someone who told him that I would have to come back several hours later that afternoon (I had plans and late afternoon traffic in Lee County is crazy ) or I could come back 2 days later. I could tell he was embarrassed and as said earlier I felt bad for him. Needless to say, I left w\out a rental guitar. Wm. Griffin \ Lexington Ky.
Plenty of parking , decent customer service, good selections of instruments , prices not that good, sales rep tried to push sales instead of suggestions.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.

I took my Ampeg SVT bass amp to GC to sell it (too heavy for my old back) and Alyssa was extremely helpful and professional. I got a fair deal and turned around and bought a pedal. I get that they are suffering like most music stores and most of the employees are glazed over, but sometimes you can make a good experience happen. Just communicate, treat people with respect and don’t expect too much!
Very knowledgeable people working they are very helpful I’m very happy with my purchase
Good service with well trained staff. Went in to buy PA equiptment and i could not have been happier with the price or the service. A+
If you need ANYTHING music …
This is the place…
Nice staff, plenty of merchandise to browse! If they don’t have something there they can most likely order it for you!
I love the staff thier, the only thing honestly for DJs not alot of gear.
Stood at the counter for almost fifteen minutes without even being acknowledged. I’ll go to local shops before I waste my time there again.
Place is going downhill fast. Half the guitars from the new section had chips, dents, missing parts. Staff was good, but only when you are purchasing, getting actual help and working with someone to the point of checkout without being passed off or left is rare.
They are absolutely thieves! Priced a used ddj-sr 1 pioneer controller, now that 1 is very important. This year was missing sliders and button faces. I looked on their website and they were priced around 199 to 389 for used. Now the ddj-sr 2 sells new for 699. They quoted me a price of 599 for the 1 which is 3 years old, I thought they were joking. So I continued to look at their gear used online. Nothing over 389 for that item. After having them double check they saw nothing wrong and said well Corp makes those prices. Buyer beware. What a joke. I will never return. I am also going to contact Corp to look into this for me..
