They had the hard to find parts I needed for an antique Gibson. Wendy and her staff are very knowledgeable and happy to help. Thanks!
These Guys are great and know what they are doing. My new pick guard has to be custom made but it will be ready tomorrow!!
Best place ever. As a foreigner in the states I thought that only guitar center has every thing in guitar parts and stuffs, but I was wrong… I was looking for some guitar parts to take back to my country and repair my guitar and I didn’t find em ad guitar center, so a guy that works there told me that what I was looking I could find it in WD music products. He wasn’t lying they have all you need. Literally all you can imagine and more. They even ship to eveywere in the states. (Don’t know if they ship worldwide).
I love this place! Always willing to give me a good deal. They have everything! A great experience.
I went in looking for a guitar. They seem to do most of their business on repair, not sales. They have a couple dozen acoustic guitars of lower quality. Some looked used but were not labeled that way. Guy behind the counter never really took any interest in helping.
Great customer service
The quality isn’t what it used to be. Send them a strat pickguard to copy and they get it wrong, repeatedly. I gave up on them.
Saw their big sign on the road that said U-Turn now, so I braked obstructed traffic and got over into the turn lane and waited approximately 10 minutes till traffic stopped. Made the u-turn and entered the parking lot to find out they’re closed. Now I have to travel a mile down the street to make another U turn so I continue on my way.
Then I see all the stunning and brave covid signs on the door and determined based solely on these two issues that this isn’t a company I wanna deal with.
What a rippoff this little casino is .

We received top shelf service above and beyond
Thank you Todd
They are very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help with any problem you have. If they don’t have a solution they will do what they can to find it. They let you try instruments with no issue and give good input when needed. I’ve been going here for almost 10 years now and I love them!
During the Pandemic, I wanted to buy a keyboard to relearn the piano. I had lots of questions and wanted to buy local. I chose Cadence Music in Ft. Myers. They were a Yamaha Dealer and that is what I wanted. Cadence Music allowed me to pick up the things I wanted To purchase in a safe manner following all the CDC guidelines.
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
5. Total Music Source
Address: 901 East Industrial Circle #10, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Palmona Park , Florida , United States
The tech there has great prices. Especially compared to guitar center. They have a lot of inventory. The pics here dont do it justice. Had a good 15min conversation with the guy at the desk and they are very nice there and will just shoot the breeze with you without jamming a sales pitch down your throat. Wish i found this place sooner. Check it out. You wont be disappointed.
Wanted to update this since I just recently went back since they moved lovations. This shop and the staff are amazing. I went in to pick up a guitar for my girlfriend and they are the only store around that had it. The staff is very friendly and they do not pressure you into anything. I ended up getting myself a guitar as well as they have a good selection of esp Ltd’s which I like. They threw I’m a couple cases with my purchase. This is my new go-to store. Thanks Total Music Source!
Great prices and awesome staff. Always a pleasure to shop.
Very friendly staff. Paul was very nice and helpful, as well as the female that was there, but I do not know her name. It is a nice environment and they seem to love the place.
Bought a guitar for my 11 year old son we got and it was heavy and to big so we returned it cause Totalmusicsource says yes we do refunds.before putting it back in the box I looked it over there was no scratches I went to the length of wrapping it completely in bubble wrap and taped the only way it got scratches on it is from Total music source cutting the tape. Any way had to open a case up with eBay there attitudes and customer service is terrible. I know good customer service because I own 5 retail locations and have been in business for over 25 years. So I spent $806 dollars they were to minus shipping around $48 received a refund of $515. Let this be a lesson when you purchase online . Terrible service.
This place is a total nightmare all the way from receiving the guitar I bought all the way to returning it. It was a constant stress fest of having to call them all the time to get any kind of status on events. Even my refund didn’t show up on my Affirm account until I tried to call with no answer and coincidentally got issued as soon as I hung up. Paul, who typically answers the phone, is a nightmare to talk to because he is condescending, has a complete lack of empathy, and has a rotten attitude from the first time I ever talked to him. Kim, who is half owner, is the only person I communicated with who had any kind of personality and was really understanding. She is great and the only reason I’m issuing an extra star, but doesn’t make up for the garbage I’ve had to go through with them. I think the best thing for this place would be to liquidate ownership and employees, then hire people who care. It’s amazing this place operates with their current ethics
EDIT: Just changed my mind or rather had my mind changed for me. Now my review is only one star. Just woke up to Kim calling me to harass me, cuss me out, and bully me while also playing victim because she can’t take criticism of her company, even though initially we were in agreeance that things were mishandled by her employees. She is apparently a switch-hitter who will say what she needs to to appease. customers. If she thinks she has good employees, then she should stick to her guns instead of throwing her employees under the bus for customer convenience sake. I actually thought she was a sweet and understanding person. I guess not.
Product and customer service are both 0 stars.
6. Coral Sky Music
Address: 1059 NE Pine Island Rd #3, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Palmona Park , Florida , United States
Stopped by on a whim, Frank is great and I love the PRS he sold me. 5 Stars for sure.
If there was a 6th star, this place would have it.
Great little place with knowledgeable staff. CHEAPEST GUITAR STRINGS I’VE FOUND IN TOWN! Not a lot in stock, but they will order in.
Stopped in today to check this place out only to find a ‘We Fear COVID’ notice on the door. LOSERS!! Can’t believe people in the music industry act this way!!
Drove all the way to the store and closed at noon on a Friday.
Excellent source for incredible sound, sound equipment, lighting, stage, etc.
BEST PRODUCTION COMPANY BY FAR
We have been doing business with Tech-Tronics for 10 years. One of the best companies in the area. They can handle national act concerts down to weddings and small party’s. I recently attended a huge conference and they had some amazing video wall/screens setup with crystal clear sound lighting to go with the presentation. The equipment we rent is always clean, organized and ready to go. The staff is always helpful and will do anything to make your event top notch. I highly recommend them!
This business it’s been here for years. It’s a good option if you need some party equipment rental.
So far so good
Very good services
9. Guitar Center
Address: 4440 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Palmona Park , Florida , United States
Cool and helpful staff, real easy to talk too.
Told them what i was looking for helped me find it in my price range. Quick and helpful.
This Guitar Center is AWESOME !! They truly care about their local musicians, helping to assist us in obtaining & maintaining good working gear for our upcoming shows, even “in a pinch”, they are always there for us. Manager Chris and employees James & Mike… Thank You. and Guitar Tech Fred… you are The Best !! – Boyd Baker / full-time musician in SWFL
This is my favorite music store. Everyone there is friendly and are willing to take the time and share their knowledge with you. Mathew recently helped my wife decide on a drum set. He took his time and talked her through everything she needed to know to make a reasonable decision. I have bought a few guitars there and never had any issues. I actually live next to the Guitar Center off of Heritage Trace and drive to this one on Hulen because of the employees. I have been to the one on Heritage Trace several times. Usually no one will greet you or ask if you need help. You have to track them down. The one off of Hulen immediately acknowledge you when you walk in and ask if you need help. I was in there this morning. It was extremely busy as it was Saturday. Mathew and another employee were by themselves and somehow they were taking care of everyone in the store. Bought a new guitar and Matt had me fixed up and out the door. You seldom see customer service like this these days. Great job.
Nice selection, free ship to store worked well.
The crew is very helpful. They are smaller than most of their stores, but the service makes up for it.
Place rocks, no pun intended. Great service tech and repair program. Teddy/freddy is awesome. Really knows his stuff and made my 31 year old strat look like brand new. Another thirty years and giving to my grandson. He can jam on R&B and you should hear him play.
They have lots of things everywhere so unless you know what your looking for good luck
Just got back from there. And one star is one to many. They are suppose to be an authorized Gibson repair place. So my $2000.00 Gibson j45 that They sold me is dead. Plug it in and no sound. My other guitars work, must be the pick up, right? Take it there and I’m told I need to stand 2 hours in 90 degree heat with this guitar. I ask, can’t you just give me a ticket and take the guitar inside, maybe call me in a day or two, let me no what’s up. Nope, spent over $2100.00. and the guitar isn’t even 8 months old. I guess once they got your money, to hell with you. Thanks for nothing, I’ll be writing Gibson as well.
I would suggest visiting after the pandemic has settle down. We had gone just to look at the instruments but were frequently disrupted by employees that seemed to have wanted us out quickly. It wasn’t the greatest experience.
However, they are open for purchases.
10. Mr Music, Inc.
Address: 12951 Metro Pkwy #3, Fort Myers, FL 33966 , Palmona Park , Florida , United States
Shout Out to Mr Music for supporting the Girl Scout’s Mints for Military program! Thanks for your generous support. A local business giving back to the community. This is the heart of business YOU want to do business with. We. Love. It.
You seriously need to walk into this place before even CONSIDERING Guitar Center. Better prices. Better customer service. I won’t be giving a single dime to Guitar Center EVER AGAIN! The owner was great to talk to.
Great prices. Knowledgeable staff. Great inventory. Wonderful and helpful owner
Came to Ft Myers for an 8 day vacation – My brother has lived in Lee County for 30+ yrs & I have a winter home in Cape Coral. I Researched online for a local music store that would rent an acoustic guitar. (( I just started learning to play the guitar a year ago at age 58 and I thought it’d be nice to do some practicing while in Fla.)) All indications were that Mr Music was the place to go. My brother was going to rent it as web site states they only rent to Lee County residents. They (Mr Music) seemed unprepared for someone coming in off the street wanting to rent an acoustic guitar. The young man that was on duty at the store was Very Nice and I felt bad for him after he got on the phone with someone who told him that I would have to come back several hours later that afternoon (I had plans and late afternoon traffic in Lee County is crazy ) or I could come back 2 days later. I could tell he was embarrassed and as said earlier I felt bad for him. Needless to say, I left w\out a rental guitar. Wm. Griffin \ Lexington Ky.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Plenty of parking , decent customer service, good selections of instruments , prices not that good, sales rep tried to push sales instead of suggestions.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
11. Jay & Kay’s Organ & Piano Co.
Address: 1400 Colonial Blvd Ste 1B, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Palmona Park , Florida , United States
Good people. Knowledgeable. Family operation. Competitive pricing. Kind & helpful.
That does it for me. Highly recommended!
Responded quickly to questions about piano pitch by coming to the house and resolving the issue. These owners stand by their products! Personalized touch!
Love taking lessons here. I take voice & piano with Ms Diane. Any of the instructors I have encountered here are so nice and talented. They let you direct the pace you are comfortable with. They teach all ages and experience levels.
Friendly and knowledgeable … good experience!
This is more of a music school than a music store if that makes sense. Sure, there is some sheet music and instruments for sale, but it’s obvious that they are for the student teacher relationship. The staff guy was pretty nice to me and I got a good vibe of the place though, just not really my cup of tea
Shopping at Jay and Kay’s is always a pleasure.
I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time
Sadly to say I wanted to buy in my local neighborhood. Support the local businesses after the Covid 19 destruction.
I personally left their business card on the counter and had wrote a note on the back asking them to call me with my phone number on it. Crickets !!!
12. Educators Music
Address: 110 NE 2nd Pl, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Palmona Park , Florida , United States
I take lessons here. The people are amazing, it’s a very welcoming environment.
Ca caaaw
Love this place, staff is knowledgeable and has a ton of experience!! If they don’t have it they will order it and they give the best lessons in town.
Decades old institution in SWFL. Quality teaching for various musical paths and a modest store with competitive pricing. Fun laid back cafe with live music rounds out the experience of this gem in cape coral!
At first I thought it was a decent little store. It does not have much of a selection, but it had guitar strings, which is what I needed at the time… then I tried talking to the sales person. He wasn’t much help, and seemed like he had better things to do.
It got worse when I was talking with the owner. I was trying to make small talk with him, but he was a bit standoffish. He Became rude when I was telling him that it was an interesting little place, but I’d come back I like it. After that he acted like I should just buy the strings and get out… which is what I did.
After that experience I have decided that I will not be buying anything from them.
Sad to say one of the worst experiences as a consumer I’ve ever had. I’m a 47 year old new drummer (less than a year) who bought a Simmons electronic kit from a private sale. My ride cymbal stopped working and I went here for help with troubleshooting the problem, remember I’m new! The employee that initially helped me was AWESOME! I explained the problem, he offered a possible solution that I hadn’t thought of, and even pulled up Simmons site to offer more help. The owner very impatiently and abruptly interuppted, told his employee “he can wait”, as the owner motioned my direction, and instructed him to handle a phone call!!! Since when do you interrupt a customer in your store, standing right in front of you, who may end up purchasing something to handle a phone call!?!?!?!?!? The owner very impatiently and disinterested listened to my story, looked at his computer, ran the cursor over the “800 number ” for Simmons and said ” I don’t carry or service Simmons products, you’ll have to call customer support”. I was half way out the door as he was saying this!!! Kudos to the employee for attempting to help a new musician!!! But PATHETIC service from the owner. So what they don’t carry simmons?! Maybe someday I’ll be ready to upgrade to a fancy electronic or acoustic kit and need a good store. NOT THIS PLACE EVER!!! I LOVE to support local business instead of big box stores, but Educators will never get a dime from me.
What can I say about this place ? I called told them I needed my tone pot replaced and 3 way switch they told me it would be about 3 days if they didn’t have to order the parts and about a week if they did have to order the parts.
So after a week went by I called to check on the status and the woman told me it wasn’t ready yet and that it hadn’t even been looked at yet that it would be at least 3 weeks before it was done.
I told her the woman I originally talked to said 3 days to a week she then told me that noone told me that and they wouldn’t tell me that because repairs were at least 3 weeks out even though my 14 y/o daughter was standing right there with me and heard the same conversation.. these people are liars to say the least they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the door..
I have since taken the guitar to guitar center and they fixed it while I waited 45 mins later the guitar was done and I was happy !
STAY FAR AWAY FROM EDUCATORS THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS !!

Thank you for your flexibility in our service agreement. You both have the only place I will spend my money. I trust and appreciate your way if doing business. Thanks again.
Very nice guitar store, friendly employees /owners. I will do business WITH them again.
Small mom and pop place. Weak selection of used gear. Not too engaging in conversations. Actually they were quite off and not too friendly.
