Awesome folks! Dan did an awesome job on my Guitar Conversion. They obviously know what they are doing. The setup is perfect!
Thank you so much!
Ron
Really amazing people that work here…. Jeff is an amazing owner. You can tell music runs through their veins. It was great meeting everyone in the shop. They fixed a Dean Electric guitar for Chief Jerry Dyer and the Fresno Police Department out of the kindness of their hearts as a “Thank you” to Law Enforcement. Thank you
Brought in my Tele for higher gauged strings (11’s) and a professional set up. Dan was great. He truly listened to what I had to say and gave me exactly what I wanted. It’s obvious he has years of knowledge and experience to draw upon, so you can relax – he knows what he’s doing!!
Tim at the front counter was friendly and helpful as well, especially on my initial phone call.
I also met JT when I came to pick up my baby. Really mellow and down to earth guy. Classic rocker like me! Great shop, friendly people and awesome service! I won’t be going anywhere else….
Took my amp there for a Bias with my own $120 quad matched tubes. Tech called me back saying he dropped n “broke” one of my quad matched tubes so he’ll replace them. He replaced them with “new” tubes…but the brand name(Apex) stickers on the”new” tubes are falling off. Never seen that on brand new tubes. Oh and it took them 2 weeks. 2 weeks to turn my modern hi-gain amp into a blues combo amp. I know the amp tech didn’t even “test” my amp. How do I know? All my volume, bass, mid, treble, gain settings stayed exactly the same as where I left them. Why was my “broken” tubes not returned to me? And why wasn’t there a receipt for the new ones that are falling apart? Very unprofessional.
Unprofessionally running business they were closed early then business hour

Wonderful costumer service, they helped me a lot with a fiddle I bought for my grandmother, the employees are very knowledgeable and I even ended up walking out with a decently priced 12 string, will continue to do business here 🙂
They are always very nice and helpful. They always have what I am looking for or they offer to order it for me.
Wonderful staff very helpful!
Great place. Has been in the community forever. It’s mostly a store to sell instruments and give music lessons. Teachers are hot and miss. Some good some not. Has shrunk the amount of sheet music and books. Plus the personnel has a lack of knowledge regarding their music and instruments.
Friendly, reasonably well stocked
Very nice music store, a wide variety of instruments. Brass and woodwind instruments, some high end horns. A great selection of music related books, too. Clean store with street parking. Visited a couple of days before Christmas, and they were seriously understaffed. The wait was about 25 minutes at the counter. I had to find what i needed on my own. When i got to the counter, the personnel was very friendly and very helpful. So one point off for lack of help, otherwise a real nice store!
The work done to the violin was completed the next day that was good but the hospitality was the worst. My daughter had an emergency, she needed to find a bathroom, guick. The young man said no she could not use theirs and directed her down the street. This just broke my heart. My daughter would have had an accident had it not been for the understanding people at the restaurant across the street.
Good Afternoon, I dropped my daughter’s trumpet off August 19, 2019. I was told by the staff, the instrument would be ready Friday, August 23. I stopped pass the music store, Monday morning, August 26, to get a status on the instrument. I was told the trumpet was not ready. I called Tuesday afternoon, August 27, and was told the trumpet was not ready. I am a value costumer, who value other people time and would like the same in return. Unfortunately, it does not happen. If the instrument was not going to be ready for pick-up on the day provided by the staff (Friday 23 August), courtesy calls should be made informing the customer a status on their “drop off” instruments. More than a week has past, the instrument has not been touched or cleaned. Gottschalk Music Store customer service skills are being executed poorly and unprofessional.
They NEVER return a phone call or call when repairs are ready.
3. Vintage Vinyl & Victrolas
Address: 532 5th St, Clovis, CA 93612 , Clovis , California , United States
Great shop with tons of variety. Definately worth a stop.
Lots of cool things to look around even stuff I forgot about
I come to this store every week or so. Everyone who works here is very friendly and helpful. The record prices are fair and the man who is usually upstairs is always knowledgeable and has what I am there for. Anyone who complains about this place clearly didn’t spend enough time there. Best record shop in Fresno/Clovis by far.
If you’re looking for old stax of wax, this is a great place to start.
Great selection, but very unorganized. Not a place to go if you’re looking for a specific title. The records are usually in old inner sleeves and pretty dirty. There’s also some stereo equipment for sale.
An overwhelming amount of vinyl, fairly priced and kind of hard to know where to begin to look.
The people here are very nice and they have some very unique items. It’s just hard to really determine the value of the stuff they sell. It can rather easy to overpay for things.
4. Yosemite Music Makers

My daughter had a wonderful experience learning piano with Neil. He’s a gentle and patient teacher, which makes him very good with young kids. Collaborates with kids on what they’d like to learn and play, and encourages their creativity. Very flexible when it comes to scheduling. Much recommended!
My two boys enjoy having the piano classes with Boyer Piano. Neil pays attention to what the boys need and focus on each individual interests. Professional and good communication with parents also.
I found this music school online for my son and met with David, the guitar teacher. He is a nice person. My son likes the guitar school and is learning to play guitar at a fast pace. I recommend this school for music lessons.
5. Sons of the San Joaquin

I cannot understand why people insist on leaving a negative review on something they have admitted they know nothing about. The Sons of the San Joaquin have been a wonderful presence in our community for as long as I can remember. Always a pleasure to see these men perform. I wish them a wonderful retirement with their families. Thank you for all you have given our community.
