Walked In Looking For Glass Pieces, And The Wide Selection Of Great Glass Is All I Noticed When I Walked In. 3 For 20 Tropical Bars As Well! Pops And Other Disposable Vapes With Way Better Prices On Vapes And Glass THAN ANYWHERE ELSE. MY #1 HEADSHOP
I just recently started vaping to kick my cigarette addiction and did not really know anything. I had lots of questions and Houston was such a huge help! Very patient and knowledgeable, probably the best customer service I have ever had! Will definitely be back.
Good shops, good people. Knowledgeable folks who know just what I was asking for every time!
The sales associate was a great help. Thank you
The four stars is because every time I’ve gone in the workers have been very nice and knowledgeable. However, I have bought three different devices from them due to not being able to find the matching cartridges. Just make sure that they have not only the device you want, but any of the reusable cartridges, coils, etc.
Nice staff crapy CBS products
난 냄새가 안좋아요
This place is a joke I purchased a hookah cover that fell apart still have every piece to show called cause I could not make it back before work only to be told I had to bring it the same day or there was nothing he could do
Also just purchased a vape that DOESNT pull without me being out of breath I tried the display in store and it was fine came back within 10 minutes only to be told they can’t do anything about it was told NO lol please don’t waste your money here VAPE HUT will definitely be getting my little money did not want to return the device I wanted the display that I FID try in the store never asked for my money back or to return the device
Bought a vape here and the smoke was disgusting, not even after a day it stopped working it was a 5000 puff elf bar, I buy these normally and never had this experience, I think they sold me a fake one
3. Musician’s Warehouse
Address: 245 N Lumpkin St, Athens, GA 30601 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Ed and his colleague were so helpful in helping us fix our sound system for our record player today. I wasn’t sure what I needed, but they went above and beyond to make it happen. Thanks dudes
Very nice store but not a great variety of guitars
Nice selection of stringed and percussion instruments. Pretty decent prices, too.
Could be a little more organized. Drum area needs more open space. And more displayed of items. Seems pretty congested.
Dude I’m not sure what happened. The first floor is desolate (empty for everybody that’s currently reading this while dunk). I understand social distancing, but I’m I am attending Warehouse, I do not care about the current situation, I’m here to rave. Open the first floor for a mosh pit.
Really wanted to like this company. I was cheated and conned, and after a week with zero communication I contacted them. They fumbled around for another day or two then stated they couldn’t find the item. I was left empty handed and confused. No attempt at finding the item or ordering another. Nothing. Zip. C’mon guys!
Poor selection. If you like grandpa guitars this is the place. Wouldnt recomend to any modern guitar players.
4. McDonald’s
Address: 30519 US-441, Commerce, GA 30529 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Fast food places are in decline. Only reason I stopped was due to travel.
Workers more interested in drive thru customers.
No one eats inside that much anymore.
Just like all McDonald’s
It’s fine. It’s basically just like any McDonald’s. Customer service isn’t up to par, drive thru lines are usually quick except on Sunday mornings.
This place never has employees that know there job and it has always a long line! I wish they would get it together!!!! Don’t go unless you like waiting forever and then your is wrong!!!
We waited for almost 20 minutes at 6:30 am and when we got our food, it wasn’t even hot. No apology for the wait, either. Skip this one.
DO NOT DO CURBSIDE EVER!!!
Waited for 20 minutes to get my food, while I watched the line go pretty quickly. There was no one in line when I ordered and I sat and watched what felt like a hundred cars go through before they brought me my food. Of course, they forgot to bring my drinks. So, they go back for my drinks and I had to wait another ten minutes before I had to go in and ask for them myself. Also, the food was already cold before they made me wait for the drinks.
5. Larry Daniels Music
Address: 1718 Cleveland Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30501 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
We love Larry Daniels. It has a very cool community vibe, lots of musicians coming and going. Larry provides excellent lessons to even very young students! Eddie is always friendly and helpful. Can’t be beat
Best place in town to get musical parts and equipment cheap friendly and good people
Customer service was good. Just didn’t have the correct audio wire i needed. But they did suggest other places in the area that could have them.
Small store, great service. Bought a VCA compressor and brought it back because it was defective, staff were understanding.
If you’re looking to take guitar or drum lessons this is your place.
Shady business! Sold me a used mandolin that is damaged and had the pick guard removed, didn’t say anything, hoping I wouldn’t notice, which I didn’t (wasn’t very familiar with mandolins & they knew this). There are holes in the instrument where the guard was removed. I think they even sold me a different one than the one they advertised online, for some reason. Wouldn’t answer my emails. Horrible people!
Took a guitar here to get EMG pickups installed. I had the work done but the pickup wiring would not fit under the pick guard. I took it in and said, “This needs routed for a 9 volt, please don’t touch the action.” I got it back with the EMG’s “installed” poorly with all of the wire crammed under the guard, the tech, Walter, CUT OFF my solderless connections, used an improper passive tone pot, and soldered things in place thus ruining the modular nature of the solderless connections.
When I plugged the guitar in back home I was getting serious hum with overdrive pedals. Also, the tone pot, as expected, really just did nothing until about the last mm of turn radius then it killed all the treble at once. ALSO, the tremelo and action had been adjusted HIGHER than when I brought it in. Sigh. Anyhow, I took it back and the kept it for a month. I called and they said, “Oh yeah Walter said there’s nothing wrong with this guitar.”
When I returned the guitar to them I asked that Walter not touch it and to please use a different tech. So today I’ve made my third trip down there (it’s an hour one way) to pick up the guitar and they said they’d get it running right for me so it’s still there. I’ve ASKED for my money back and to take the guitar with me and they said the best they can do is “take another look at it.” It’s been there for a month and a half altogether.
Today I went and picked up the guitar. It still hums. He told me “the amp is making the guitar hum” which is of course impossible. So I plugged it into another amp and it hummed. He said, “EMG’s just do that sometimes.” So I spent 60.00 for them to break my guitar, they would not refund my money, then charged me ANOTHER 30 bucks to pick it up today, ignoring the fact that they already have 60.00 from me for a faulty pickup install. I will NEVER go here again and my local buddies won’t, either. Should’ve just given me a refund or simply not charged me today. FINALLY, after plugging the guitar in back at home I’ve figured this out. Somehow they wired it so ALL pickups would tap with the coil tap/my single coil tones are thin compared to my other EMG loaded strat. Position 1 sounds like the middle position on a tele and sounds NOTHING like a neck single coil, position two is dark/mud, positions 3 and 4 are the SAME TONE with absolutely no change whatsoever, and position 5 is the only one that works right. They assured me it was wired right and insisted on charging me as a result. The only position functioning properly is the bridge pickup.
Lancaster music is infinitely time better and also bad service. One time I asked for a thing that they sell on their store that I saw a week ago and they said that they never had that in there store
They were very cool and helpful and I would use them again and will tell my friends. I both 2 pieces from them.
Cool Guitar Shop had stock of a pedal I had been searching for for a while. Pedal was delivered very soon after ordering! Going to continue shopping from their selection because it seems that they have a knack for stocking up on very fun and cool gear. Thanks again!
Great company. Never been disappointed.
7. Music Go Round – Atlanta/Duluth, GA
Address: 3675 Satellite Blvd # 100, Duluth, GA 30096 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Excellent knowledgeable employees. Great products. Great paced service. In and out.
Definitely a go to spot for selling gear and buying used gear.
Highly recommend this store. You won’t be disappointed.
So many instruments!!!! Super friendly staff, I had a great experience bringing my violin in for repair. This is my go-to Music Store now 🙂
This is one of my favorite go too music stores that I use for finding great used gear , at affordable prices. The salesmen are very cool and knowledgeable on the gear, and most of them are musicians themselves, which is a plus , when you have questions, that pertain to a specific area of music, like , recording , live shows, or playing a particular instrument. Just recently I was gear shopping and got the greatest deal ever ..Thanks Paul @ Music Go Round ..You guys are the best .. If your looking for new or used music equipment I recommend you visit this store ..%
Para comprar usado, lo recomiendo mucho, para llevar y vender son buenos los negocios y hay mucha variedad.
Friendly people who make you comfortable with buying & selling musical instruments.
Love this place
Was told that i wpuldnt have to worry abput getting low balled on my music equipment and that was a lie. Didnt even want cash just wanted a fair trade on an instrument. They seriously tryed to rip me off on my trade ins. Even when one of my items was completly new in box. Cant wait to see how much longer that guitar sets on there and no one buys it. Waisted two hours of my day and gas. Would have brought these guys lots of good buisness with new trade ins and buys on equipment.
If I could give no stars, I would. My daughter found a violin ONLINE that she called this store and asked about. A friend of mine wanted to purchase it with his credit card and have it shipped as a gift to my daughter in Kansas. They refused to let him purchase it with his credit card and ship it somewhere besides his billing address. He called them, and I thought maybe he was just coming across harshly; therefore, I called them. I spoke to Josh (I think that was his name). He told me that they had someone arrested just last week for fraud, and shipping it out somewhere besides the billing address is a “red flag.” Really?? I asked to speak to a manager, and he said that they “manage themselves.” Interesting. I apologized that I would not be purchasing the violin from them, and his response? “We’ll survive.” All I can say is that my daughter’s violin won’t come from this place, nor will I recommend this place. You have products online, people. It is Christmas. They aren’t going to want to purchase something that they can’t ship to someone out of State. You’ll survive, though.
Also, just so the owner is also aware, Josh basically told my friend who planned to by the violin that he would like to have the conversation with my friend in Duluth, GA, and accused him of trying to pull a fast one on him. Over a violin? C’mon! He asked to speak to the owner, and Josh told him he would have to email the owner When my friend told him he was calling from Houston, he hung up on him.
I don’t think training is going to change the cocky attitude.
I’d give less than one star if it were an option. Upon looking online I found a wireless guitar system I wanted to purchase but also check out prior to such. I called the store & was told YES they had the item in stock. It’s a bit of a long drive for me to their location. I drove all the way out there & when I walked through the door I’m greeted by an employee who appeared a bit disoriented acting. Nevertheless, I informed him I was there to check out the wireless guitar system I called about. The employee looked the item up & confirmed it being there … then he began walking around the store looking for it. (Kinda odd u wouldn’t assign items such as this a general location) perhaps near the guitar pedals. So after about 5 mins of him wandering around the store I’m told he can’t find the item. I explain I called & drove a bit of distance specifically for this item (I was also looking at a high priced guitar) The employee begins wandering around the store joking around with other employees but ultimately no real effort to locate the item I came for was made as well as no apologies given for not having the item after I was told they must’ve lost it.
This also tells me if I were to purchase this item online they’d not be able to accommodate my purchase. As I searched the store myself a couple of friendly customers engaged with me in chat.
I also noticed anytime a customer wanted to try out a guitar the employees would play the instrument more so than the customer asking to try it out. Meaning the employees would take an instrument off the rack someone wants to play & rather than hand it to them right away they play their entire musical catalogs it appears. So as a dissatisfied customer there was absolutely no apologies for the mistake they made of not having the item in stock nor was there even a remote attempt to satisfy a displeased customer. For example – we are sorry u drove all this way for an item we assured u was in stock but unfortunately there was miscommunication on our part so to accommodate we will take a percentage off any purchase u like to make up for our error. That would be providing customer service. Something the employees need to learn apparently as opposed to trying to show off on the instruments they’re attempting to sell.
U lost a couple thousand dollars sell today because of this. I had planned to purchase a Gibson with the wireless guitar system. I won’t ever return because of this experience & inform others to do business elsewhere because ultimately u are clueless to ur inventory.
8. McKibben Music
Address: 1118 Monticello St SW, Covington, GA 30014 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Covington Icon. Family owned and operated. Great people. Tell Scott I said hey.
Great place and Mac is very friendly and sincere.
Awesome music instructors in the environment is peaceful
Good store. Little bit of everything. Convenient for those in the area.
A convenient location for the Covington area. However, I’d prefer to visit the Conyers Music & Arts store. The staff at McKibben did not strike me as entirely friendly and unapproachable. Could have been a bad day but considering the lackluster item selection as well, I won’t be returning.
Check them out and save a trip to the city. Hometown folks and down to earth atmosphere. Can’t go wrong with Mack and company.
asked if they had a ukulele and they didnt which was fine so we asked the guy to give us a call once they had them in stock we wrote down our number for them. Never received a call bought my ukulele some where else
Rude. Bad business. I never felt so out-of-place and disrespected. 1st of all, I walked in and spoke while he was yapping away on the phone. No response from him. He kept going on with his phone conversation as I walked around looking. So, I assumed he didn’t want my business and I left. A little later, I sent my daughter in because I found half of what I needed somewhere else. He actually suggested her to get the items somewhere else. So, she was very uncomfortable and left.
Our loved piano teacher increased the fee so we thought we would try piano lessons here. Spoke several times to a lady on the phone whom encouraged us to “try” out a lesson. Never ever stating there is a $25 fee. I do not mind paying, but I did mind being surprised when leaving.
Upon arrival the older gentleman was SUPER sweet. That is so important to me. Very kind and nice man. It changed slightly when I was surprised I owed money, but that’s fine.
The piano instruction “room” is a very dingy, dark and TINY closet with an electric piano. I was expecting a real piano, not electric and it was very claustrophobic room.
We met with Rosa. At first she was ok. But she really has a persona of being annoyed about things. She suggested getting a notebook to write notes but we already had one with and she really, obviously, didn’t like our book . She did not instruct on posture or finger placement, I told my daughter, use point of finger, not the whole finger, sit up straight… i think thats 101 and should be imp. There were several instances where I felt she was just annoyed. When we left, she didn’t say anything like it was so nice to meet you, I look forward to working with you, have a wonderful evening, etc… she actually was annoyed about me asking fees for a partial month and rudely told me to speak with the front… since we are in the Oct already I was only curious about the monthly fee. She walked us halfway to the front, turned around and left… did not smile, wait for us to officially end the goodbye… I had actually said nice to meet you, thanks for your time, have a good evening to her back. Very very odd. That sealed it for me
*surprise fee
*closet of a room
*electric, not real, piano
*Rosa not very nice
*the entire place, even bathroom desperately needs renovation
We are happily taking our original piano teachers increased fee and looking forward to her excellent instruction in a beautiful room with a real piano.
Nice family business, but its just not for us. We wanted to try the other piano teachers and told yes we could. But… oh… they’re booked sweet gentlemen and I’m sure the other instructors are great. If I had known it was electric piano and that tiny room, I may not have even bothered. If it was listed somewhere, I obviously missed it. I hadn’t looked at the website. Just reviews and word of mouth.
9. Guitar Center
Address: 1455 Pleasant Hill Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30044 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Came in to check out some digital pianos and maybe see about ordering one and was surprised to find they had the one I wanted in the back. They seem to have a good bit of inventory in stock at the store! I think my cashiers name was David and he was so sweet with helping us lift the 100+Ibs piano into my small jeep!
Love this place
Has decent amount of things buys stuff right on spot they didnt have alot of music books.
Could spend hours here
Wish they had more technical help with more equipment such as lighting and audio gear. Customer service is good
I have been a customer of Guitar Center for twenty years now, and recently had one of the worst retail experiences of my life at this location. While shopping for strings yesterday (04/ 08/ 2022) and considering a purchase of what would have been my fiancés first bass, a sales associate began to give a demonstration of a PA system to another customer. Normally, this is a perfectly fine and normal scenario for a store that sells music equipment. However, this particular employee chose to crank this system to a level comparable to a concert setting, prompting most other customers in the store to halt their time trying out their potential purchases and wait for this demonstration ( which lasted three to four minutes,) to end. Unfortunately for me, I ended up leaving the store before it ended. I am not usually inclined to leave a review. However, my fiancé (who is on the spectrum,) had to cover their ears and was on the verge of crying from the sheer magnitude of noise inside of a store that was admittedly far too small for a speaker to be cranked as loud as it was. So after waiting at the register for five minutes without being acknowledged by a single employee, I decided to leave the items I picked up behind at the counter so I could get my partner out of the store as swiftly as possible. This experience was entirely unnecessary and unprofessional and I will not be spending my money at this location ever again.
Over priced but where else to go for what need besides online….. Stay away unless last resort
Guitar lessons was not what I expected. I signed up for virtual lessons. I Logged on to my sessions and the teacher never showed up. This happened 2 sessions in a row. I only received No-shows from the teacher. Not even a courtesy phone call of absence.
10. Ken Stanton Music
Address: 5236 Stone Mountain Hwy, Stone Mountain, GA 30087 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
I was looking for an amp and found one here for a price that was a little cheaper than the ones I was finding on Amazon. Check here before you buy online- they’ll save you some money!
Awesome store and friendly helpful people!
Im glad to see the store back open and doing well. When I need new gear or sell my old gear for the band Ken Stanton Music is the place that makes the best deals in town ask for Skip
Ken Stanton Music is the hometown brand. It is apparently one legitimate alternative to Guitar Center and Sam Ash. I stopped by the store recently and had a pleasant experience.
From the exterior, you can tell that the store won’t have a massive selection. It’s a smaller store, but still worth checking out. You could always find a gem. I found a pretty reasonably priced Gibson ES-Les Paul that I’m strongly considering.
I worked with Ben during my time in the store, and he was terrific. The store didn’t carry a White Falcon or a Martin D35, but he found that other Ken Stanton locations carried them and offered to have them delivered to the Stone Mountain location.
There’s a lot to consider when investing in expensive instruments and gear. As it currently stands, I wouldn’t mind buying from Ben at Ken Stanton.
They’re very nice and respectful and helpful
Great service
Bought a mandolin for $300, case for $65. When my son, the next REM decided it wasn’t his cup o’ tea, they offered $50 for both the instrument and case giving me some BS when they had the same mandolin “on sale” for $239 without case. I’ll never go back even for strings, they should rename themselves Ken Stanton Pawn!
I bought 350$ worth of equipment..and none of it was compatible with my Daw that the guy recommended and on top of that i try to return it the same day i purchased it.. And they said i can only return it used.. They will give me 15$ is his exact words.. For 350$ for what i just paid for.. I felt betrayed but that’s how they do business.
I didn’t feel comfortable as I was trying to buy, I feel like I was being watched not Good!-
11. JAWS GUITARS
Address: 111 Mountain Vista Blvd #135, Canton, GA 30115 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Great little shop! Jim is a nice guy who’s always been fair on his prices and keeps a surprisingly good selection of mid-range gear. I drive 50+ miles to go there.
Awesome shop. Awesome dude.
Knowledgeable, friendly owner. Cozy shop and nice environment. Now, if I could just magically learn how to play…..I’d give it one more star….
Great sound equipment at reasonable prices compared to the big box music stores. The gentleman, who I assumed was the owner, was very knowledgeable about everything musical.
Jim, the owner is well informed and super friendly. A pleasure to speak with. Inventory changes often. Fun place to to go exploring.
I needed a setup for my Gibson Les Paul and decided to give Jaws a shot because of their overwhelmingly positive reviews. I dropped of my guitar and told the luthier that I was experiencing a lot of fret buzz. The turn around time was very quick and I was able to pick it up the next day. I was told that there would still be some buzz based on my attack, which seemed like a cop out. I asked if there were any high frets and I was assured that there were none. I took the guitar home and played it to find that I was still experiencing buzzing even when strummed lightly. I pulled out the fret rocker to find that several of my frets were high despite what the shop told me. Overall, this was a waste of time and money and I’m very disappointed with the level of service.
12. Ponce De Leon Music Center
Address: 1060 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It is the same price or cheaper to shop here than on Amazon, in my experience. And you know you’re getting the right part because they help.
Nice and honest staff and ownership. Knowledgeable with a true desire to earn your business.
Great place! They are very helpful!
Great place to find IEMs, headphones, Guitars, Speakers, Pianos, and more!
Good variety of musical instruments.
String prices are a little higher than a bigger chain like guitar center or ken stanton. But not much more. If you live in area you’d spend that in gas getting to guitar center. So very fair. Very helpful staff. They are friendly and receptive. Lots of guitars. And unique ones from popular brands. I be digging it.
Had to make a quick stop to grab a few things. I know it was closing time. I was trying to make it quick. When they started harassing my husband reminding him when they close he left and we took our business somewhere else. Customers want to feel welcomed, not reminded how unfortunate you are to have to lock the door right at 5:00.
The customer service is awful I definitely won’t be back there every again
13. Pro Music Outlet Inc
Address: 4135 Lavista Rd Suite 210, Tucker, GA 30084 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Great !! guys to work with everyone there knows what they are doing,I’m going to tell everyone that I know about them that’s trying to get in the music Business…
Professional and seasoned expert in music
I shopped with them before. The prices are a little to steep now. Good company for music needs, but expensive.
Cool people
Real feel kinda place
These people cap Smh. Sold me a 100 mic.
In I end up looking it up smh this same mic is 22.dollars on Amazon. I Took it back right away
Alllllll Cap Over there look up the merchandise prices before u bye
I learn my lesson
Great place if you want to buy equipment. Not so much if you want to sell your items . I’ve called the owner about some things I wanted to sell to this location, each time the owner lied and said he wasn’t there or he would call back tomorrow. Very unprofessional if you ask me , if you don’t want to do something just say it .. don’t lie to a customer.
Never open, when I visit
UPDATE:
I have visited 4 times, during business hours, only to find a sign saying there are closed for a break.
14. Canton Music Shoppe
Address: 149 Reinhardt College Pkwy #11, Canton, GA 30114 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Great prices, excellent customer service, and high quality instruments. I was in the market for a hybrid crossover classical guitar and had already tried two instruments from the “big box” online vendors. Eric offered to special order an Alvarez Cadiz series guitar at a price much lower than the online vendors. And the purchase included a free in-house set up to my specifications. The result was a beautiful, easy-to-play instrument that I look forward to playing everyday. Jesse, the in-house luthier, does outstanding work. Eric also offers quality used equipment . Canton Music Shoppe has become my “go to” stop for all things guitar related, including maintenance of my other acoustic guitars. Well worth a visit.
Knowledgeable and friendly service. Got some electronics work done by Brennan and I’m very happy with the results
Brennan is a phenomenal owner and guitar tech. He set my Les Paul up and it plays better than a new guitar off the hook.
Great staff. Very friendly. Prices were great!
Not very happy with my experience here. It’s like they dont want you to touch anything. They constantly stare at you while you’re in the store like you’re going to steal something. Very uncomfortable feeling while there. Not my favorite music store!
Owner (I assume (wears glasses)) is arrogant and unfriendly. When purchasing strings, I asked what guage and web he recommended for my purposes. He looked at me and answered as if I was an idiot for asking in the first place. Strings were $5 more than I can get them online, so next time I will wait on them to come in the mail instead of supporting a local business. $17 for elixirs. Unfortunate.
I bid 4000.00 on a Gibson Gold Top guitar listed at 4,999.00 . They countered my offer with 5,299.00?? I’ve never heard of anything like this.
The store counter to my offer was more than the original price?? That’s so wrong. Hoof luck dealing with these guys.
15. Town Center Music
Address: 4072 Suwanee Dam Rd NW, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
The staff is friendly, patient and very knowledgeable.i didn’t feel pressured or overwhelmed at all. I was so glad to be able to give some support to this small local business and made my selection of an accoustic Breedlove guitar there.
First review i have done and it is worth it. I have had nothing but great experiences when i visited Town Center. The manager/owner Aaron and the staff were very professional, knowledgeable, and made sure i left happy. They carry great brands and make you feel like you’re apart of the crew. I would highly recommend to anyone searching for music gear from beginners to professionals. Thank you Town Center!
I visited this place to browse guitars. I left with an excellent guitar and renewed inspiration.
Aaron was my guide. His depth of knowledge and passion for music made the entirety of the experience delightful. He evaluated the guitar and made certain it met the highest standard of quality. He was very helpful, genuine, and outright encouraging of my continuing to strum.
I’m a very satisfied customer and will return soon.
Taught my kids to play guitar
Good
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Not where u want to shop you find poorly trained staff and not music people I shopped here off and on for years . just not good pepole
Store is dirty poor selection not real big
AVOID AVIOD
High prices not helpful run by a guy who looks 40 and still in a garage band no music
background not open late any place better then here. Manger is clueless.
16. Righteous Guitars
Address: 1455 Hembree Rd, Roswell, GA 30076 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Excellent and friendly service from Ben, Mgr., and the staff. Outstanding number of guitars and accessories too. And ladies their Ladies Lounge and restroom is better than most fine dining restaurants or country clubs. For those who want to chill for a bit their 4 leather chairs are so comfy. Class all the way. P&K
The coolest guitar store I’ve ever been too!
Great store. Just not my thing.
Did a drive by while traveling in the area. Saw the ‘call for appointment’ sign. Rang the door bell and was ushered into guitar heaven. Played a Heritage H150 (unplugged) for a while. I was ready to buy the beast and hit the road. Was told that it would be plek’ed and shipped to me. I really didn’t want that. I asked if I could pick it up in a week when I head back to FLA. They said the process would take 3-4 weeks.
So, there won’t be a new guitar in my collection. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
I randomly drove past this place on the way to the library and decided to book an appointment because I’m a total guitar geek. I was blown away by the selection of limited edition PRS guitars, custom Gretsch and Gibson pieces, almost every Divided by 13 amp. They’ve got some gorgeous Heritage and Cole Clark guitars too. This place is expensive though – you really need $1500-2000 on hand to even make moves and try everything you want to try out.
I want to give a shout to Patrik Niiranen and give him 5 stars – he had a good customer service skills and showed me a really nice PRS SC58 and Heritage H-150 guitar. I may go back to their repair shop. Thanks Patrik!
Have not been there but looks like six string heaven!
I would never bring any Guitars to Righteous again would never recommend to anyone!
Had pickups installed and had to drive back to the shop 3 to 4 times do to various electrical issues due from the bad installation job not to mention damage that was done to the body of the Guitar from one of the DiMarzio set screws ,which they were honest and told me what happened when I went to pick up the Guitar for the first round .
This establishment should just keep to selling Guitars to the Upper Crust instead of disguising there self as Luthiers and tooling others like myself around!
No greeting. Vague responses to questions. Retail prices. Sterile.
Went in yesterday and had a terrible experience. I have purchased high end guitars all over the country and never experienced such rude and condescending people. Don’t waste your time going there.
17. Vintage Musical Instruments
Address: 42 Public Square S, Dahlonega, GA 30533 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Great shop. Beautiful instruments and some great sounding guitars and folk instruments. The custom made electric guitars are one of a kind. Hope to go back
I was disappointed with the repair work done on my guitar. It wasn’t a horrible job but it wasn’t a good job either.
The luthier wasn’t able to polish the frets because they didn’t have any high grit sandpaper so, I had to “polish” the frets with my strings from play wear and now my frets are “polished” very unevenly.
He seemed to do an okay job with the fret leveling and crowning but there are still some noticeable corners on about half of the fret edges and especially on the higher frets where people usually don’t play. (You can tell how he had it laid on the table because one side is relatively smooth and the other looks like it barely got any attention along with the nut which is just as sharp as before)
He also got multiple dings and scratches on my guitar neck. Which I personally don’t mind on the specific guitar I sent in, but I would be quite irritated if it happened to a higher end guitar. (It’s named ‘Rawhide’ which explains the guitar well)
So, pretty much I paid for an incomplete job where if I had the proper tools I could have done it myself and probably much better.
I’m not trying to start anything and I don’t want to get the Luthier in trouble, I just want to see quality work from the Luthier so *if* I ever bring in a higher end guitar I won’t have to sleep in fear worrying about possible damage.
My recommendation for the Luthier is if someone pays you to level, crown and polish frets, make sure you have ALL of the necessary tools and really take the time to do a good job on ALL of the frets. Also make sure to keep the guitar safe in the process.
If I had known what to expect for what I paid for, I would have pressed the Luthier to finish the job, but at the time I didn’t know what high quality frets were like.
Lastly, on an unrelated topic that really goes to personal preference, they require masks to enter the store, no exceptions. I don’t support being muzzled for a virus with a 99%+ survival rate and even 95%+ if you’re over the age of 70, where it’s so “deadly” you require a medical test just to see if you have it, and asymptomatic spread has been proven to be extremely rare, if not just another myth to keep us living in fear.
But to each their own.
Went to store this morning at ten after 11 and no one was there.
I’m very disappointed in this “business” we had taken a family heirloom to him to be repaired, he said it would take two weeks. Hey, great you got a deal. Let’s go ahead and pay for it so you will have the money on hand to pay for the parts and your time. Three weeks later we have to call and the guitar still isn’t finished. Four weeks later we call once again it’s still not done. I go to the “business” to see if it’s even been touched, and low and behold it had not. He had already told us that sales from other people come first with it being around the holidays. Wait wait so a sale that was already made gets placed last?! That was my daughter’s Christmas present as well to hear the guitar play once again that her papa had gave to her 10 years ago, then he pasted away. I will never trust this place again repairs or to buy from!

Address: 970 North Point Dr Suite A120, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Commerce , Georgia , United States
Very helpful staff, nice selection of new and preowned guitars nd equipment. Prices are good and willing to match with no issues… what can i say… i’m sold.
Nice place and great employees to help you find everything you need related with music.
Love this guitar center. Everyone helpful.
Good store but expensive
Go in, get what you need, leave. They have some quality gear, but you have to really look for it and get lucky. Otherwise, you’ll be buying a guitar that looks new, but has been played by 100 people in that store.
Very nice place to find every kind of musical instrument.
I’m done with this store. Service is always horrible. I called to see if a tech was on duty to fix guitar I just bought from them 60 days ago. The person on phone told me yes and just come down. I rush down which is a 20 minute drive and the tech leaves early for day. Waste of my time and couldn’t get my guitar fixed. What makes it worse is that when I called the employee he wouldn’t transfer me to talk to tech. Then he would have know to not leave early or tell me not to come down.
This location has terrible customer service and is poorly staffed. On my last 2 visits, I have taken items to the counter to purchase and wound up returning over $200 in purchases back to the shelves and leaving because no one was available at any store register to pay for my items. Even after milling around the registers for over 5 minutes each time, no associates appeared to assist. The service has been poor here for years with no one available to assist or answer questions. I can only imagine the amount of business that is lost here by not having the registers manned or associates on the floor. I will not be returning.
How interesting that 5 days ago someone else reviewed this location is not having any interest in taking care of customers. That’s the exact experience I just had.
I just walked into guitar center I hoping to check out an upgrade for my nylon acoustic guitar. As I walk through the store not one person ever said hello, or asked if I needed help.
This location has the acoustic guitars in the humidity controlled room, which is great. Inside that room was an associate who was apparently working on display because there were ladders in front of the guitars where I couldn’t reach them.
After walking around the room for at least 5 minutes, this person not only never once said hello or asked if I needed help but they looked irritated at my presence the entire time.
It’s no problem, there are other music stores in this area that I can go to where I’m sure the service will be much better. I was ready to buy today, and I’m disappointed at the complete and total lack of customer service, but I would rather spend my money someplace that is appreciative of its customers.
19. Tanger Outlets Commerce

Jackson’s Music is a good little small town music store. In a town void of music stores this is a nice oasis to get the things you need. They also fix guitars and rent band instruments too.
I’ve been here several times and they are constantly helpful and efficient. They took a look at my cello at no cost and let me know it didn’t need to be fixed yet. I appreciate their honesty.
As any business, it is made up of people. I have been a musician for 25 years but these guys treat you like you are an idiot every time you come in. I even sent my wife up there to ask for something specific and these morons tried to tell her that I was stupid for wanting what I needed. Humility and professionalism goes a long way. I went in to give them a shot on a $4k acoustic that I would up purchasing. Could not get them to treat me serious and I had cash that day!! Never, ever use this place.
I’ve went to Jackson’s music a few times in the past couple of years. I have purchased a drum set from them and its my number one kit still to this day. For the most part friendliness is in the atmosphere when the older guys are working, the younger guy on the other hand is lazy and careless and doesn’t see the need to know about drum accessories even being the store salesman that he is.. I guess he’s a guitar guy or something. I feel as if anyone that was clueless about music or music instruments could do a better job than that guy. The guy acted as if he didn’t know what I was talking about and was trying to pretty much get me off the phone until I pushed the issue. Then he was like, “oh I know what you’re talking about.” This was after I walked him through what I was in need of twice! Anyways the guy clearly knew what I was talking about and was more than likely anxious to get off on time instead of making one more sale for the day. He even told me that someone else called this past week about the same thing. In store experience is definitely the route to go. If you call you’ll more than likely get the careless and clueless young guy on the phone that doesn’t even deserve his job. I don’t know if it’s because he didn’t get the training he needed or if he likes to milk the system but whatever the case may be he obviously can’t help you because he can’t even help himself or the store by doing a good job.
Avoid like the plague. Absolutely rubbish. I will never set foot in this garbage store again. Rented an audio system that was buzzing. And changed me extra for an extension cable that there was no proof that it existed.
