Super friendly, helpful staff. Wide array of equipment. Something here for everyone. Worth visiting often, as the inventory changes frequently.
Encuentras todo clase de instrumentos musicales y accesorios
Excelente lugar para comprar equipos nuevos y con historia (usados), el personal insuperables dispuestos a compartir historias de cada instrumento.
They had exactly what I was looking for in store. The staff was nice and took care of the necessary covid19 precautions by ensuring I used hand sanitizer and masked up before entering. The employee I spoke with told me exactly where to look to get what I needed. My only reason for giving it 4/5 stars is because I felt it was overpriced. Nice store though and very well organized.
Disculpe tienen acordeones en venta??
Awesome selection of gear that is always changing!
Stay away and do not support this joke of a music store…Look at anything advertised on their site. Then look at the shipping cost! For example, they charge $96 to ship a 3 pound cymbal! What tops the cake is the worst customer service you receive via phone or direct email. “We rather sell it in the store that’s why we charge so much for shipping.” Yeah, you read right: I actually was verbally told this via phone…and to back this up, they refuse to give the business owners name and claim the “Floor Manager Naeem” is the store owner and shot caller…who is the reason behind this disgusting practice. Ann Wood is the owner. Be sure to call and ask for her if you have the same issues and she’s the real problem. This review was posted after experiencing the same situation twice here, and four other times nationwide. Do not buy anything here, shop where service and fair market value is the standard.
Was told that i wpuldnt have to worry abput getting low balled on my music equipment and that was a lie. Didnt even want cash just wanted a fair trade on an instrument. They seriously tryed to rip me off on my trade ins. Even when one of my items was completly new in box. Cant wait to see how much longer that guitar sets on there and no one buys it. Waisted two hours of my day and gas. Would have brought these guys lots of good buisness with new trade ins and buys on equipment.
I’m sure this will be looked at as the “just a bad experience review” but I’ll just lay it out and let you decide.
Monday – Brought my bass in to be setup. Waited about 2 and a half hours to be told that they don’t do setups in house. I was also told it would take at least a day.
Tuesday – called in in the afternoon and it still wasn’t picked up.
Wednesday – had a gig Wednesday night. Called at 1. Asked if my bass was picked up. I was told it wasn’t yet. I responded sayibng that I needed my bass for gig. Do not send it off. I show up at the store at 7pm that night to pick up my bass. The store clerks tell me that my bass was already picked… At 12 and whoever was wrong. The clerk tried to call the guy who does their setups and it went straight to voicemail. He told me that he could rush the setup and could have it back early Thursday. I decided to just to borrow my guitarist’s bass and pick up my bass Thursday.
Thursday – I show up to the shop at 7pm. My bass is behind the front desk waiting for me. I tell the clerk that I’m here to pick the bass up. He hands me the bass and tells me that i denied service so nothing was done with it. I left the shop with my bass in hand and never stepping foot in that shop again. I’m also sending my students elsewhere.
Update: my bass is chipped…
3. Vickers Music Co
Address: 537 Peterson Ave S, Douglas, GA 31533 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Adam is a master at his trade and what he does, as is the rest of his family. They are very knowledgeable and experienced in just about all aspects of music instruments and equipment.
Their prices are very good as well and the store is kept pretty well stocked with just about anything you need, and if they don’t have it they can order.
Very helpful. Very friendly would recommend to anybody to check them out.
Very nice folks
Great supporter of all students and schools

Never bring a guitar here to be worked on, both times I’ve brought my guitars up there they come back with scratches and dents
4. Town Center Music
Address: 4072 Suwanee Dam Rd NW, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Went in with an Ibanez Jem Jr. Hoping to get a sustainiac put in and Dustin was able to do it very quickly! Everything was perfect and the staff was very knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommend!
Friendly staff, easy to find help and what we needed, also got a cool new pedal there
A string on my 8yrs old daughter’s guitar broke. I searched and found Town center music. I called ahead to speak with someone before driving down there. The guy who answered was pleasant and answered my question and gave me a quote. When I got there I was happy to see their COVID precautions! He fixed my daughter’s guitar string quickly. I was so pleased with the service that I bought a guitar strap and will consider their virtual private lessons.
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Good
Taught my kids to play guitar
Not where u want to shop you find poorly trained staff and not music people I shopped here off and on for years . just not good pepole
AVOID AVIOD
High prices not helpful run by a guy who looks 40 and still in a garage band no music
background not open late any place better then here. Manger is clueless.

I recently purchased a guitar from these’s folks off of Reverb, and they were sooooo friendly!
6. Ben Owens Music
Address: 1803 Plum St, Valdosta, GA 31601 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Never know what may be on the wall in his shop but whatever it is he has, it performing at it’s best.
This is the best music store in the Valdosta area. They have really good equipment for sale friendly and very knowledgeable employees they repair and refinish guitars and other equipment in there custom shop and they give music lessons I wasn’t expecting much when I saw the outside of the building but inside was Nice with the best gear I have seen a long time.
Great small town shop.
Small store but good selection of guitars, amps and accessories. They really should put prices on all their items. There were several things I was interested in but they weren’t priced and the staff got busy on the phone. Overall seemed like a good place.
Small business owners who are good at fixing and repairing instruments.
Very knowledgeable and very nice, they let my son just play guitars and jam out
Ripoff artists. Charged $50 for new strings. Said they were Elixirs. I know what Elixirs look and sound. They put on some cheap strings. DO NOT trust these guys. Never getting my business again.
Garbage
Total douchebags.
7. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 5485 Westmoreland Plaza, Douglasville, GA 30134 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Always able to get what I need without taking a long time to get it.
Been a long time shopper. Great products for a great price by some of the most wonderful people who seek to do the job right the first time!
Knowledgeable people. Decent selection of instruments and gear. And their prices are as good as an online retailer. It’s awesome to have a real shop in town.
Jackson’s Music is a good little small town music store. In a town void of music stores this is a nice oasis to get the things you need. They also fix guitars and rent band instruments too.
Knowledgable staff, who are helpful but not pushy. I have been getting music supplies from there for more than 10 years and not once have me or my family had an issue.
I’ve been here several times and they are constantly helpful and efficient. They took a look at my cello at no cost and let me know it didn’t need to be fixed yet. I appreciate their honesty.
Avoid like the plague. Absolutely rubbish. I will never set foot in this garbage store again. Rented an audio system that was buzzing. And changed me extra for an extension cable that there was no proof that it existed.
Went in to look for an acoustic guitar, amp and some cables. Employee with beard and glasses kept following me around but wasn’t saying anything. It felt weird so I left.
I really wanna like this place, but there is a guy that’s been here for years, and everytime I’ve gone in he has been crabby about something. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but he’s not to cool to the customers anytime I’ve been around.
8. Rockys Music
Address: 113 Front St, Sylvester, GA 31791 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Rocky is from the old school, but he is with the times. He offers competitive pricing, a large selection of items he can get quick, and he knows his stuff. He is very efficient and skilled in modifying, repairing and setting up guitars and basses.
He has always seemed as honest as the day is long and in my decades of knowing him, I have never experienced anything on the contrary. I highly recommend this place!
Always friendly and professional, Rocky has what you need at good prices
Great store, nice people.
Do not in fact open at 10.
9. JAWS GUITARS
Address: 111 Mountain Vista Blvd #135, Canton, GA 30115 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Very cool local shop.. carries mid to upper range guitars and amps (used and new). No pressure environment…owner seems knowledgeable and very nice. Bogner dealer…very cool.
Stop by and check them out!
Great place
Wedunit Band enjoyed stopping in on our way back from UNG, Dalonega. Had the hard tension nylon guitar strings that we have been looking for! BIG difference on the Godin guitar!
support your local music stores. professional repairs and great service. These guys give fair prices on trade-ins as well.
Cool store no other music stores in Canton owner is cool
Great sound equipment at reasonable prices compared to the big box music stores. The gentleman, who I assumed was the owner, was very knowledgeable about everything musical.
I needed a setup for my Gibson Les Paul and decided to give Jaws a shot because of their overwhelmingly positive reviews. I dropped of my guitar and told the luthier that I was experiencing a lot of fret buzz. The turn around time was very quick and I was able to pick it up the next day. I was told that there would still be some buzz based on my attack, which seemed like a cop out. I asked if there were any high frets and I was assured that there were none. I took the guitar home and played it to find that I was still experiencing buzzing even when strummed lightly. I pulled out the fret rocker to find that several of my frets were high despite what the shop told me. Overall, this was a waste of time and money and I’m very disappointed with the level of service.
10. Music Depot
Address: 304 N Main St, Cedartown, GA 30125 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
sweet little place. superbly nice staff. great prices and has layaway.
Easy to find. Very helpful and very friendly team members. Children seem truly welcome. A great small, hometown family business. A lot better than any chain store and the team members see you and not just your dime. Can’t go wrong giving them a chance.
Small Town music store with excellent service
Nice selection, especially for a small town.
I didn’t realize there was a store that sells musical instruments in town but was pleasantly surprised! Found exactly what I was looking for and more…definitely will be returning!
Surprised by how extensive their selection of Lefty’s is, surprised and impressed.
My wife bought a Walden acoustic guitar less than a week ago from this music store for me as a surprise. It fell off the stand and the top part of the neck “above the first fret” broke in half. I’ve been playing for 35 years and this has never happened before. The bottom of the guitar stand is 1 inch from the floor so it just fell lightly not slammed against the floor. We took it back and the owners refused to replace it or refund our money. We left the guitar there, out of our money and my gift to play music right now is at a haunt. So I would definitely not recommend this place. -Matthew Patrick Avery
Bought an avlex microphone from them that was totally defective. Not only did the store refuse to refund the money, they refused store credit as well. I’ve reported them to consumer reports and the better business bureau. They could’ve just refunded my money for selling me a broken piece of gear. Do not shop here if you don’t like getting ripped off. I’m a local musician and would’ve bought quite a bit of merchandise from them too. Their loss…
11. Firehouse Guitars & Music
Address: 612 Medlock Rd, Decatur, GA 30033 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
This place deserves more than 5 stars. I’ve had the privilege of having 3 of my guitars worked on by Rick. The most recent one was my Ibanez RG that had an annoying hum, and like the others, this repair was beautifully done. He even gave some sage advice along the way. Rick is always upfront, honest, knowledgeable, passionate, skilled, and he treats every guitar as if it were his own. I recommend him, as well as all the great staff at Firehouse, to all of my guitar-playing friends and colleagues. Keep up the great work!
Great neighborhood musical instrument shop.
Nice place decent prices knowledgeable and friendly staff
This is a pretty good little store. I bought my guitar and amp here
Rip off.go elsewhere. I use to really like bringing my daughter here but they must be under new management. Prices have gotten ridiculous!!!

Excellent customer service. Super helpful and sweet owners!
Ponier Music has been a very helpful source on knowing and understanding musical instruments ever since they first opened. Even though I have never bought any of their great assortment of musical instruments, I have bought accessories that have served me very well over the years. They not only have great instruments for sale but they have great advice and great prices. The staff are dedicated to solve your problem and they are happy to help. And, even if they don’t have the best brands, they have the best instruments from beginner to the most advanced. They offer lessons as well. At Ponier Music, I feel like that they know that music matters. And, most music stores are not that dedicated enough like how Ponier Music is.
We acquired an electric guitar and amp from a neighbor and David got us up and running for almost nothing in less than 12 hours. Great customer service! Thank you.
I had a bad experience getting my guitar setup and felt like I had been scammed. I was immediately contacted and offered complete compensation by the owner herself. Wonderful customer service. When I went in to get my compensation I also made a new friend. Thanks so much, Ponier!
We had our two kids take guitar lessons for over a year. We made our kids attend to stimulate their overall learning capability , Since one of us travels for a living we at times canceled a session ( in advance ) and always paid fully for canceled lessons , no questions asked.
Our kids are straight A students, justifying for us to pay for lessons “wasted “ as no show.
However we decided to end guitar lessons and asked the owner to discontinue charging us over and over again. The manager / owner having bad organization and people skills ignored and intimidated my wife after we finally filed a claim with our credit card company.
Further more he stated that he would only give us OUR money if we delete a bad review. WE DID NOT WRITE A BAD REVIEW AT THAT TIME.
I inquired and asked for a call back on multiple more occasions but no response.
Our music instructor was great but left him for a probable reason. So if you are a common sense kind of a person do not expect much in return in that area. 200 dollars “taken”.
A few decent music teachers but the management needs improvement.
The owner charged me for items I didn’t purchase and kept my credit card on file without my permission. She said they refunded me but I never received a refund. I had to call my bank to have the charges reversed.
13. Music & Arts
Address: 12182 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA 30188 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Tyler is fantastic! I ordered a guitar that when it came to the store had a manufacturing flaw. Rather than thinking i would have to deal with the manifacturer, Tyler ordered a new one. The new one is perfect. Tyler provides excellent service. He is also knowledgeable and is easy to work with. He has earned a loyal customer.
Cailey is so sweet and helped so much.
Tyler is the man! Always very helpful and willing to go the extra mile!
Good service and very knowledgeable
(I ordered online, not blaming this location.)
I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering a keyboard, keyboard stand, and stool from Music and Arts, and I must say that my overall experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, this company has displayed a complete lack of competence and customer service, leaving me frustrated and furious.
First and foremost, the lack of transparency regarding the availability of the items I ordered is inexcusable. It wasn’t until I called them in late January to inquire about my order that I was informed about the backorder situation. I wasted over a month eagerly waiting for my package, completely unaware that it wasn’t even close to being shipped.
Finally, in late March, I received the keyboard, but to my utter disbelief, there was no sign of the promised stand or stool. Naturally, I contacted their customer service department to rectify the situation, only to be met with complete apathy and indifference. They claimed that they couldn’t help and that I wouldn’t receive the missing items. This level of disregard for their customers is absolutely appalling.
To my surprise, a month later, I received a second shipment containing another keyboard, stand, and stool. At this point, I was beyond frustrated. Instead of providing clear communication and instructions, Music and Arts remained silent. I waited, hoping they would reach out to resolve the situation, but instead, I received an invoice in the mail, demanding payment for the duplicate order.
Determined to resolve the matter, I called customer service once again to explain the ongoing issues. Initially, they assured me that I wouldn’t be charged and that everything was under control. However, my hopes were crushed when, a month later, I discovered that they had charged my credit card for yet another keyboard. This not only angered me but also meant that I would have to pay interest on an item I never even wanted in the first place.
Attempting to rectify the situation, I contacted their customer service yet again, only to be met with further frustration. They insisted that they would not process a refund until I returned the unwanted items, putting the burden on me to take time out of my schedule to deal with returning their mistakes to UPS. This added insult to injury, as it is their responsibility to resolve their own errors promptly.
To make matters even worse, the following day, I received a bill from a collections agency, demanding payment for the keyboard that I had never authorized. It is unfathomable that Music and Arts would make an unauthorized purchase on my credit card, showcasing their complete lack of professionalism and respect for their customers.
All in all, my experience with Music and Arts has been nothing short of a nightmare. They have consistently demonstrated incompetence, apathy, and a complete disregard for their customers’ time and money. Not only did they fail to provide the items I ordered in a timely manner, but they also made unauthorized charges on my credit card and showed no urgency in resolving the matter. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Music and Arts to steer clear and find a more reputable company that values its customers. Music and Arts, you truly suck!
Watch Your Bank Account Or Credit Card Statement If Renting From Them. They Randomly Charged My Account For About 6 Times The
Amount Of The Normal Rental And When I Called They Gave Me An 888 Number . I Called Them And They Said It Was The Collections Department So After Being On Hold For Over 20 Minutes They Finally Found Out It Was A Mistake And Will Credit My Account Back In 2 To 3 Days.
This location needs to let people know that actual store hours because they do not open at 11am. Came by today to drop off an instrument and still closed at 11:45am.
14. Ken Stanton Music
Address: 5236 Stone Mountain Hwy, Stone Mountain, GA 30087 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
One of the best music stores. Great prices and amazing staff. Jason, if you are watching this… you changed my life. Thank you Ken Stanton
Doesn’t take me long to get what I need. Employees are always helpful-Great customer service!
The store, products, and customer service here is outstanding! I had a guy name Andres who helped me out with shopping for a Les Paul, and he was very cool, down-to-earth, friendly, and informative. He let me try as many guitars as I wanted to for as long as I wanted, and for as loud as I needed to truly test the guitars out.
Also the store is clean, organized, and they offer good prices and had a discount on their products that other stores did not have.
I highly recommend this store!
Polite service.
Great service
They’re very nice and respectful and helpful
I called to ask about trading in gear. Told them what it was over the phone. Explained that I was pressed for time. Gave me a rough estimate over the phone. Guy told me to bring the gear to the store so they could evaluate. Drove to the store… wasn’t close…and before we can get out the van tells me he can’t buy the gear.
I was denied for rental because I was staying a relative. Instead of giving me options for me to see what I can do….he just said no with accept your application
This place doesn’t care their clients.
I have been buying here so many music items, but I will never comeback again.
Last item I bought was strings for my bass.
My bass is 5 strings and by mistake I bought a set of 4 strings.
I went back to exchange them, but they didn’t allow me to do that because the case was open.
So they lost me as a client, they also lost my recommendations.
All this just for $20.
Not a smart move from them.
15. Davis Music Co
Address: 367 Commerce Way, Tifton, GA 31794 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Intelligent and creative owner that has an incredibly unique collection of vintage music and recording equipment; even a few handmade instruments! Also quite a few neat historically significant items.
This place has some really funky and cool gear
Small town music store, with very good prices
Been here a few times and the guy is never open or has some excuse not to be. The last time I called and he said he’d be open all tommorow. So I go there around 1:30 and he’s closed. After I drove about 40 miles. He said he had some kind of emergency call. So I wouldn’t waste your time with this guy.
16. Guitar Center
Address: 970 North Point Dr Suite A120, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Covelo , Georgia , United States
Everyone there has a good, friendly attitude.
Sarah at the Acoustic Barn was Fantastic.
I love this place, may be not as big as other locations but still great staff and instruments.
What a great music store!
Smaller store but very friendly and engaging staff! They are about seeing the customer happy.
The Guitar Center guys are always nice and ready to help.
Its very intrersting
Had strings put on a classical guitar. I could have done a better job.
Just walked out of this store. Went in to possibly buy an overdrive pedal. Was in there for almost an hour and not a single sales person approached me to see if I needed help with anything. They would avoid eye contact. The store was not busy at all!
Terrible staff, lots of damaged gear. Absolutely the rudest sales staff I have ever encountered! Will not go back to a guitar center.
