Food is standard for McDonald’s: eat good now, suffer bad later. Breakfast is pretty good, staff is friendly and most are bilingual (in Spanish). Only con is that it can get quite messy sometimes, but they usually have someone on it when it reaches a certain threshold.
Needs a faster moving morning rush
It’s ok
This McDonald’s has been consecutively inept at providing quality food for as long as I can remember. I understand that this place is a fast food restaurant, however, when you serve a customer food that seems to of been refried more than once just to not through away product is disgusting. Ask for unsalted fries if you want fresh fries, otherwise, good luck on that end.

7. Family Dollar

En este lugar nunca tienen camvio, si yevas un billete de50 o 100 te disen no tenemos cambió y te toca dejar todo lo que vas a comprar, se supone que es una tienda grande deve de tener cambió..mal servicio.
Really disorganized store
This store ALWAYS has long lines, it seems to be ok with management. I have yet to see this store clean. It’s to bad because I live close and would love to shop there. I’ll go in only if I absolutely have to.
8. White’s Music Center
Address: 100 E Caldwell Ave, Visalia, CA 93277 , Cutler , California , United States
I went into the store with a small shopping list of beginning trombone student supplies. The place is so piled high with inventory that I just showed my list to the person at the counter rather than get lost in it all. I was really surprised to see so much in the shop.
He retrieved everything on the list in a matter of seconds and also showed us how to care for a trombone, using one of the instruments in the store to demonstrate. AND it all cost a little less than the same items cost on Amazon. I’ll definitely be back!
Great service
Great shop! Have purchased a few things here over the years, friendly and helpful staff. Shop local, support your neighbors.
Muy bonito
Great service! Wish there was more selection but their wide expanse of all types of musical knowledge is unmatched in the area.
I have been going to White’s off and on for maybe 20 years? Some long-time staff are cool and extremely helpful, and I have also walked out when I was ready to lay down 7 to 800 bucks on a guitar because of the rude sales clerk they had at that time. They are the last of the local “mom & pop” music stores we’ve had in town over the years. I avoid Guitar Center with a passion and prefer to go to White’s when I can but, similar to Wal-Mart & Lowe’s compared to Ace hardware & your local department store (which there are few left), it’s hard to pay 5 bucks for an item you can get for 2 at the mega box store. Overall I like White’s but I have had a few bad experiences there (however the people who were rude seem to pass through, Guitar Center is almost ALWAYS rude as if it is corporate policy) in my experience.
I ordered a piano book from this store and was told it would be there in two days. When I called to see if it was in I was told to call back. Well it’s been about 10 days and no book. when I called to ask about it the guy said still not in,.when I said do I need to go somewhere else to get it, the jerk says sure we’ll just cancel your order. Thanks a lot for wasting ten days of my life and now my granddaughter has to go to piano practice two weeks in a row without the supplies she needs!
Be careful of the instrument rental contracts here, very shady. There are many other options to rent instruments from places nearby, and I would recommend going with a place like Guitar Center over this one if you want an honest and straightforward agreement. We were told by the owner, Robert, at a rental night that we pay monthly on the balance until the value of the instrument is paid off. When automatic payments stopped getting charged, we assumed it was because the instrument was paid off. After a year, we got a notice from a collections agency saying we owed almost $1000 in rental charges, without any prior notification from Whites music that there was still any kind of balance on the account. Whites music claimed that the reason charges had stopped was that the expiration date on the card expired, and that we would have needed to go in and state that we wanted to own the instrument or we would continue to be charged for renting. The owner, Robert, was very rude to us on the phone and hung up on us when we asked questions about the music contracts. Other workers there said the person in charge of sending out notifications of the account being past due had recently been fired and refused to say anything else about the notifications not being sent out. One worker, Joseph, stated, “Are you in the habit of not reading the fine print on contracts?” in response to inquiries. If you rent from this company, you need to read carefully and keep careful records. Their contracts are set up in a way to take advantage of people, with a stipulation in fine print saying that you have to take additional measures then what is told to you on first signing. Furthermore, they are not afraid to lie about their services or speak unkindly to customers. It is apparent that Robert sees his business as a way to make money and that is all. He does not care about his customers, and he doesn’t care to run an honest business.
Update: After reading the owner’s reply, you should know that they did not lose money on this deal. This is a shady comment in itself, because they are referring to a small fee that was paid to the collections agency for them taking on the account. White’s Music received a payment in rental fees of over $400 from myself and the trumpet was returned to account for the other fees. They made hundreds of dollars as a result of this deal, not including the value of the trumpet which they can now rent out again. The owner also mentions the contract continuously as a reason why it is okay to behave the way they did. My dilemma has, and continues to be, that I received no notification of any late fees before being sent to collections. This dilemma was never responded to and the owner did not make up for this oversight. This company did not go out of it’s way to help me with this matter. They took a lot of money from me and did it in a dishonest way. If you notice, the owner makes no mention of hanging up on me, being rude, or the comment made by the employee about how I should have read the fine print on the contract more carefully. This business believes that it is established and it’s long-standing history with the community can make up for poor practices, and that as long as something is written into a binding contract, they can swindle people however they want. Just because this company once had an honest reputation in years past does not mean it continues to be that way.
Never has anything in stock. Had to go to Guitar Center’s Percussion Department for what I needed.
9. Guitar Center
Address: 4254 S Mooney Blvd, Visalia, CA 93277 , Cutler , California , United States
Everyone at Guitar Center is very friendly and always ready to help. Guitar Center is always my go to place for any of my music needs.
Compro mis instrumentos en guitarra sener
Limited Products due to COVID.
It’s a great place and they have a lot of great stuff. They need to be more sensitive to beginners and amateurs. Not everybody that comes in is a professional musician, some of us just decided to pick up a new hobby later in life. Other than that it’s a great place to shop!
It’s the smallest guitar center I’ve ever been to. The website says it has certain things but when you waste gas to go there, sadly, it does not. I went there for flat mounting rings, which they did not have n said nothin about why they are on the website but not in store except all we have is on the wall. They also didn’t have but one type of tunin keys (inline). The guitar selection was limited but had variety. Not the variety most guitar centers have but good enough, I guess. The vinyl section is a joke. Hardly any LP’s n very very limited selection. I would recommend goin somewhere else but the other music store around Visalia suck too. I ended up havin to go to Fresno.
Apparently they don’t know what u mean when u say “TV”
My boyfriend and our family went in to go buy a guitar that was over $500 and the whole time the manager was being so rude a disrespectful. We first asked if he had the certain guitar in stock and he said “ I have a couple but I won’t bring it out unless you plan on buying one” The thing was, we had people coming in to purchase this guitar because we personally already have 2 of them. Then later we asked again and he had the biggest attitude. We understood he was doing something, but he still felt the need to make it known he didn’t want to take the extra 5 minutes to bring out the guitar that we already said we were going to purchase. We came from Sacramento and over here we have never had bad customer service from any of the Guitar Centers. The only reason the guitar was purchased was because they needed it asap and that is the only guitar center that was around. Sir, learn how to treat your customers especially when nobody was being disrespectful towards you.
Will not be back. This is a second time I’ve said this.Sold some stuff
To them, they did me right.But…..Now I get the run around.Seems to be a revolving door as far as employees. Was told has wasn’t gonna get the deals I had been.Felt like I’ve been singled out.If that’s the case …We might have a problem. Not everyone can afford high end gear.Me my self I trade and flip gear to get what need.I give these people enough of
My money.I don’t want to hear some lame excuse about space .
You can only use that one a few times.GUITAR CENTER YOU WILL
NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM
ME.
10. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 770 W El Monte Way, Dinuba, CA 93618 , Cutler , California , United States
This is a great Walmart! Way better selection than the Selma location!
Typical Walmart. They have everything you need.
Está muy bien
Nice people
Don’t ever shop at this Walmart ever again. They just told my husband that he needs to stop shopping there because of a discount website called brickseek. The staff there are to lazy to put in a discount price from this website they are partner with and said my husband and I are not allowed to shop there anymore because they don’t want to deal with price match discounts. Management is absolutely horrible and even cussed us out and threaten to call the cops on us for no reason we didn’t even argued with them we didn’t cuss at them. We were calm and cool. It’s the staff and employees and management who don’t care about their customers and should be shut down by corporate. Sorry for the rant but people had to know what they did to me and my husband.
Like it was walmarts first try at it!
Worst customer service they are always in a bad mood if you make a phone call they treat you like if your asking for something free.
If they dont want to work they should quit or maybe its the way walmart trains them.
Mal mal servicio bola de mulas y mulos amargados.
11. Gottschalk Music Center
Address: 234 W Main St, Merced, CA 95340 , Cutler , California , United States
After a long and arduous search for my PRS SE CUSTOM 24. It was the Gottschalk team that finally secured this great guitar. A special thanks to Elliott for coordinating, locating, and delivering my guitar in a very professional manner. Thanks again to the Merced Gottschalk team…good job!!!
Great Music Store! Been using this location to buy instruments and they always sound great. Plus the workers at every friendly and informed on instruments!
Guys were very helpful and knew their stuff which is really convenient. Dint have to make multiple stops.
Quality work with professional results! Very satisfied with the attitude & service received from Elliot and Rick. Thanks!!
The items there are largely geared towards guitar players but they also have a noteworthy selection of audio equipment, percussion, keyboards, as well as a few wind instruments. If you want something from them that isn’t in currently in stock they will gladly order something or check their sister location in Clovis and have the item(s) shipped to the Merced location.
Customer service is phenomenal! The people there are knowledgeable and kind and helpful 24/7 and they help make you feel like family!
Not a friendly place. Rude Staff. Had to go there to rent an instrument for my grandson. A couple of Staff members were not welcoming and they were not nice. They didn’t have everything we needed, and they weren’t concerned about it. Not a good experience. Not recommending the place. I will try the other music store in town.
Not very helpful and not to friendly
The were very rude I just needed help with what reed size to get and the guy was very rude
12. Brick & Stone Coffee
Address: 220 S L St Suite A, Dinuba, CA 93618 , Cutler , California , United States
I absolutely adore this coffee shop. Great coffee, delicious pastries, and super friendly staff. The iced vida mocha is delicious.
Every Thursday I have a truly wonderful time. The staff at Brick & Stone Coffee make it point to remember names of customers and their orders. Mikayla is a wonderful manager and the owners are blessed to have her.
I love the peaceful calming setting at brick and stone. The coffee and tea are amazing. The staff are friendly and get my order quick and all I have to say is better than Starbucks and Dutch.
Good specialty coffees are very reasonably priced.
Had a business meeting, music was a bit loud had a hard time hearing my client. Great music selection just needed to be lowered a bit. Coffee was great.
Coffee was great, employee was awesome, atmosphere is so welcoming but I didn’t realize that this was a pet friendly spot. I would have liked to enjoyed my coffee without the dogs running around and the owners of the dogs not doing much.
13. American Music Co
Address: 2597 E Ashlan Ave, Fresno, CA 93726 , Cutler , California , United States
Awesome place with great rates on all rentals for saxophones. Also has a violin repair for anything new all the way to antique. They do great work.
I’m just a kid with little money, and always wanted a piano keyboard. A few months ago I only had $150 that I saved up, and went to check it out. There was a keyboard that was $170 that came with everything I needed as a beginner. They were willing to cut it down to $150 for me and I really appreciated that. i would recommend you check this place out.
I’m gonna give these guys 4.5 stars.
The good: Ordered an Ibanez Bass. They shipped it the same day. Arrived really quick. That’s excellent service.
The bad: had some questions, but when I called, they never answered. Tried messaging them on Facebook. Didn’t respond.
Conclusion: Great shipping service. Bad communication. If they fix communication, it would be a perfect 5 stars.
I came in just to look around and while the employee there was very nice, he was also very patronizing. Overall enjoyed the store. It is relatively small but still very nice.
Went to 2 stores. Other place had a cockroach, American Music Co had an Albino Praying Mantis. Other place (despite being 10x times the size) was sold out of what I wanted. Walked out w/ an Orange Affinity Strat, love it. 4 stars purely because it makes the review seem more honest.
Nice service!!!
Terrible customer service! Won’t step foot in there again. Left without buying anything. Decided to go to Patrick’s where they were extremely helpful and considerate. Employee insisted that I was being sarcastic, which I wasn’t. He told me that masks make it easy for people to be sarcastic. All I asked is if they had guitar strings. He then said all they do is sell guitars and no strings. So idk who was being sarcastic. I asked an honest question since at first glance I didn’t notice any. Bad, bad, baaaad!!
No one paid attention to me and I was ready to biyba quitar and amp.
I bought my first electric guitar from American Music 25 years ago. I bought my first synthesizer there. I’ve made all my major purchases there. Never again. Today, I went to pick up something for my work and left my phone on my desk. When I arrived, the door was locked with instructions to call for assistance. I look inside and see an old guy at the counter so I knock on the window and jingle the door (which has bells). As I’m trying to get his attention he ignores me and walks into a back room. Thankfully, a neighboring business called to ask for me to be let in. When she told him that I was trying to get in he told her, “I know. He needs to call.” She told him, ‘Well, he’s calling now. Can you let him in?’ I walk back over, the same old guy I saw lets me in, and I am so furious I show him what I need, I pay the $5.19, ask for my receipt, and leave. I will never spend another dime here so long as I live. I will never help American Music by referring another person to them since their employees can’t be bothered to answer the door for me. It’s a shame that our relationship of 25 years came to an end like this but I will not be disrespected just because I didn’t have a phone with me.

Love this store they have a large selection of everything plus rare items like record players, vintage pop records, and I even purchased a cool lap sized keyboard that works and the lady gave it to me half price
Expensive store, might as well go buy it new at Wal-Mart. Stop by Open Gate, they support homeless families and have much more reasonable prices.
