Our seven year old daughter has been taking lessons with Mr.Thomas Marcellis since 2020, and we have been incredibly pleased. He is professional, patient, musically gifted, and above all a great teacher. He makes her want to learn more! She enjoys coming weekly, and has established confidence in herself that will only continue to grow as her knowledge base increases. We are very grateful for the opportunity to have her learn from Mr.Thom, and would highly recommend Guitar Studio to everyone.
I took guitar and voice lessons here from Tom for 7 years. Such a nice guy, quality lessons, quality instruments, if you’re seeking lessons and/or music gear, you can’t go wrong here.
Tom is a very talented musician and does a wonderful job teaching my daughter piano. I’d recommend him to anybody
3. Guitar Made Easy
Address: 15050 Elderberry Ln #4, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Cypress Lake , Florida , United States
Thomas is an excellent guitar teacher. He has a very patient temperament and relaxed manner that put the student at ease. He recognizes that each student is an individual, and helps the student pursue their personal musical interests and goals. He is a totally competent and capable instructor.
What a great way to learn guitar. 5 stars
Thomas is a very skilled and knowledgeable musician, guitar piano. Knowledgeable enough, that he is able to help even from thousands of miles away. Regardless of instrument, or type of music, Tom is the man.
If you want to have your child dissapointed after being surprised with a guitar lesson only to get to his location- he is a No Show!!
How do you ever redeem your self after a dissapointing 1st lesson..No Lesson.
We even asked how do we confirm…he said just show up.we did.
I would not entrust my child to someone who can’t communicate and does not care if they dissapoint the kids.
Im just hoping the next “professional” i try is really a professional!
4. Cadence Music, Inc.
Address: 5215 Ramsey Way, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Cypress Lake , Florida , United States
During the quarantine, I decided to work on an old dream – learning to play the harp. Cadence Music had in stock the brand and style harp I most want to play, and delivered it too. Everyone I spoke with was professional, efficient, and kind.
My middle school daughter was having issues with her clarinet. Henry was so patient with us, very knowledgeable, made great recommendations, and helped get her clarinet working before we left the store! My daughter was so happy, and I’m so appreciative. Thank you!
They worked closely with me in my special purchase. They are always professional and helpful. Wonderful folks.
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
5. Rick Gerstein
Address: 9870 Owlclover St, Fort Myers, FL 33919 , Cypress Lake , Florida , United States
The owner and staff are all professionals. Everyone of them is helpful and very encouraging. I highly recommend Mr. Music to anyone looking to improve their life with music.
They always do a Great job servicing my Guitars. Great Store, Great Service and Great pricing.
This place is absolutely amazing! You cant change my mind. I take guitar lessons here with Carl and he is the best instructor, he’s very talented as well. Yea it’s a little bit pricey, but it’s worth it, trust me.
Nice Place but very pricey… A lot of things you can get on Amazon for way cheaper.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Plenty of parking , decent customer service, good selections of instruments , prices not that good, sales rep tried to push sales instead of suggestions.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
8. Steve Farst Live Acoustic Entertainment
Address: 14053 Northumberland Dr SW, Fort Myers, FL 33908 , Cypress Lake , Florida , United States
Always a pleasure to hear him play. Highly recommend having him play at your next event or gathering.
Just had the pleasure of hearing Steve and a group of Fort Myers musicians including his friend Heather Brooks and too many others to name at YABO Restaurant. We were eavesdropping on Heather & Derek’s engagement celebration thanks to Heather’s generosity.
Okay, we are tourists but we are from the Toronto Canada area and know great music when we hear it – so besides our Fort Myers buddy Danny Sinoff – we can’t think of another place to hang out and listen to great music. Steve will be back Friday so if you are in the area do yourself a favor and head over to YABO!
The best of the best. A true artist and performer, he takes any event to the next level. Cheers!
Have everything your heart desire & if not in store you can order on line….
Fred is a great guitar and amp repairman. Fast, too.
Very Professional and Great Customer Service
Love this place….
So lots of changes lately, some new faces, and a lot of inventory gone, drum section looks bare. All in all though customer service is better.
Can’t say I care for the atmosphere but the slow customer service is a vibe killer.
Sales person didn’t seem interested. Told me to look around then never came back.
They have lots of things everywhere so unless you know what your looking for good luck
I needed a set of new acoustic strings and my son received good enough grades to warrant a trip to the store to pick something out for himself. When we got to the store the salesperson was on the phone and a customer was patiently waiting to check out. I located the strings and we walked around waiting for service. After waiting 10 minutes for the salesperson to get off the phone I turned to the customer who was waiting when we came in. I asked him if he has been waiting all this time, he said yes. I then turned to the salesperson that was on the phone and told him that I was not going to wait any longer. I left the strings on the counter and decided to take my son somewhere else. At that point the salesperson told the person on that he was talking to that I was going to call his boss and immediately ended the call. He then said that he could help me now, and I told him to help the person that was waiting longer than I was. I then left with my son without strings and without him getting what he wanted. I do not believe that this is the way employees are trained at Guitar Center. To just ignore someone standing in front of you while you are on the phone is beyond rude. I can also see that this is not the first time customers have had this type of experience at this location. The owner claims to be looking into fixing the problem…. it is still broken.

13. Jay & Kay’s Organ & Piano Co.
Address: 1400 Colonial Blvd Ste 1B, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Cypress Lake , Florida , United States
I spoke to Jay for the first time today on the phone after my husband placed an order for our daughter’s birthday present a couple of months ago. He blew me away with his good-hearted initiative. Our order has been delayed due to the current worldwide logistic challenge. Jay was very thoughtful and generous to lend us a piano from his studio so that our daughter will have it on her birthday. I was speechless… Although we didn’t end up taking the offer, still his action was remarkably kind and it speak to the type of person and store owner that he is.
Jay and Kay were both very personable people. They provided us with a wealth of knowledge as we were trying to decide which Digital Piano to buy our son for his first piano at Christmas. The store was very busy but we did not fell rushed or pressured to make a hasty decision, as a matter of fact Jay played the different pianos for us so we could see them in action!! I highly recommend them for your musical needs.
Jay & Kay are warm, friendly, knowledgeable people who are ethical and trustworthy!! They have earned our trust and highest regards. Jay steered us away from buying accessories with the new piano that we didn’t need but thought we did. We couldn’t be more grateful!!
Friendly and knowledgeable … good experience!
Shopping at Jay and Kay’s is always a pleasure.
Great people very helpful highly recommended
I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time
Sadly to say I wanted to buy in my local neighborhood. Support the local businesses after the Covid 19 destruction.
I personally left their business card on the counter and had wrote a note on the back asking them to call me with my phone number on it. Crickets !!!
14. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 8991 Crown Bridge Way, Fort Myers, FL 33908 , Cypress Lake , Florida , United States
It was my first visit, but I could tell from their interactions with customers that they have a reputation for a well-liked and well-respected establishment for buying guitars and accessories as well as receiving service on same. Even if you’re not a musician (I definitely am not), I recommend visiting just for the experience!
My experience with TR Music & Voice Lessons has completely changed the way I learn music. Their proficient instructors have helped me understand everything from classic rock to jazz to pop. The quality of training is unrivaled, and the in-studio courses are extremely beneficial and entertaining.
They have a knack for explaining complex vocal techniques in a way that’s easy to grasp. I’ve grown as a singer and performer under their tutelage.
Taylor Robinson is a marketing company. That’s it. They’re not local. They pay their teachers 40% of what they charge the customer. Teacher does all the work and driving and TR keeps more than half the money for making a website and stealing business away from local musicians and stores.
I appreciate the fact that they make compound prescriptions.
The standard chain pharmacy will NOT.
Everyone at Cypress Pharmacy is cordial as well as helpful.
The staff here are always happy to help, and ALWAYS do their best to fill my scripts at a moments notice. They truly care for their customers, and it shows with the smiles on their faces and the care they take with every transaction!! Truly the best around!!
Nice clean drug store with helpful staff. Hard to find entrance and parking is better in the rear.
I used to agree with alot of these positive reviews. Years ago when Cypress Pharmacy was owned by Beau Shipley…he was the best pharmacist and nicest person. I guess I got spoiled by him bcuz I could call him anytime with any question and he was always happy to help me. That led me to believe that all pharmacists were like that and when he sold the business to the present pharmacist I continued to call when i had a question or needed medication advise. I did this for a long time until one day the pharmacist blew up.at me over the phone and told me he was tired of me pestering him with questions and requests and he really made me feel like an inconvenience to him. I stayed on with the pharmacy but never called again for ANYTHING. Then last year just before Christmas they told me my daughters meds had been denied by the insurance company. I called the insurance company and was told that the meds had been approved but the pharmacy was refusing to fill them. I DID call them then and found out that they were dropping us as customers bcuz of low reimbursement…a loss of $16 to the pharmacy. When I protested he told me I could take MY scripts elsewhere too. My daughter and l are both on controlled medication and he left her high and dry to go into withdrawal a few days before Christmas. Her meds are high mgs and she litetally could have died from withdrawal. But this self-serving, egotistical pharmacist that I had been loyal to for at least 15 hears just dumped us without a care to our needs for a lousy $16 which I offered to cover but of course the insurance company wouldnt allow it. All I can say is if you are on controlled medication and you are getting them here you better have a back up plan bcuz this guy doesnt care what happens to you if theres a bump in the road with insurance or anything else.
This Pharmacy says they don’t have my prescription ,that they’ve been out for 2 months but yet they filled my same prescription last month .I don’t like being lied to and this seems to be their slogan. I’d rather be told the truth and not lied to.
I called them at 5:03 today and ask them if they could possibly wait on me so I could pick up my wife’s medications she needed because I totally forgot about the time. The young lady said sure no problem I will let you in. I told her my gps stated I would arrive right at 5:31 and she said once again no problem I will wait for you and have everything ready for you. I arrive at 5:31 rain and all and they are all closed off and drive right by me. Lol I will never recommend this pharmacy to anyone!!!
17. Russian-European Piano & Vocal Academy in Fort Myers
When I first came to Miss Irene, I had no prior piano experience. Within a year, I was able to play proper piano scales and perform a full classical piece from memory.
Miss Irene cares tremendously about each of her students and she trains all of her students to be able to play as professional pianists. She is so amazing and I truly feel blessed to have her as my teacher.
Irene is wonderful, my daughter has been studying piano with Irene for four years. Irene challenges Kirsten and she plays the piano beautifully. Highly recommend Irene.
Both my boys ages 12 and 6 take lessons with Ms.Irene. If you want professional piano/voice training, this is the place to go. They had been to other local music academy’s and this is the only instructor that has given them long lasting quality training. I highly recommend this academy.
18. Staples
Address: 7191-3 Cypress Lake Dr, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Cypress Lake , Florida , United States
We looked in 4 shops in Fort Myers the day before school for a backpack. Found the perfect one for my picky high schooler at Staples. The price was right too!
I worked with Viviana in the printing department. She was very helpful, kind, and patient. My project was a success. Highly recommend her and this store.
Very Friendly and knowledgeable would use thier services again
Ok sales
Was trying to buy ink, not in store. Had to be ordered, takes 3 days to get ink delivered to you.
iPostal service has had massive improvements. Recent orders have smooth. Have had issues with iPostal specifically over many months that was jusst a training issue. Got to the point I had to file a complaint and iPostsl removed the extra fees. I went full Karen but it was no fault of specific employees though my previous review I blamed management.
***This review reflects my most recent experience with iPostal and staples specifically. Managers have been extremely friendly as helpful.
Needed docs printed. Associates were very unwilling to assist or offer helpful solutions. One girl, Erica, walked in and mentioned in a very quick and snippy way that they were “out of color ink” and then said “can’t you see I just walked in the door?”. I can understand people have bad days, what’s worse is I came to this staples because we had a similar customer service problem at the one in the forum. They could improve the quality of people they hire to assist customers and its experiences like this on why retail jobs are becoming less and less.
Have a Christmas run for families in the community and am a 501c3 and could not get any help
Don’t bother going to this store. Advertised on their website is an LG monitor for $129.00. Supposedly a manager, after I asked for one,the guy was rude and says nope we never had that monitor when it clearly states on site that there is 1 at this location. He began smirking and kept saying there wasnt any, even when I showed him the ad on my phone. So I wasted my time. Should not put something on the website and say they have it at the store, false advertisement
19. Palm Coast Studio
Address: 6225 Presidential Ct #150, Fort Myers, FL 33919 , Cypress Lake , Florida , United States
Stopped in and my wife bought a ukulele. Kim was extremely helpful and I was very pleased with the service. Highly recommend!
After purchasing a piece of garbage from a different music store in North Port I decided to drive to Cape Coral. I brought my guitar in to have it restrung because the strings on my guitar were more like cables then strings. They were honest and upon careful examination of my guitar they told me that it was warped and about other issues. I obviously needed to purchase another guitar. The sales person took his time with me and asked what my needs were and pointed me in the right direction. I ended up purchasing a guitar and signed up for lessons. The staff is professional, friendly and genuinely care about your needs and concerns. I was told that if I had any issues with the guitar they have a return policy of 45 days. In my opinion this is a sign of a good music store. Thanks for your help. **The reason I chose this particular store is I called Martin guitars in Pennsylvania and asked for an authorized dealer and this store was it. I’m sure Martin will not allow just anyone to be an authorized dealer unless they’re above board and reputable**.
Great customer service. Ask for Paul.
Very overpriced, better off going to Guitar Center in Fort Myers. 🙁
I came in here with my friends interested in a particular product, only to find out that this stores prices are completely outrageous. Will gladly take my business elsewhere.
Pretty unhelpful on the phone, like I was bothering him at his own job. Would be great if some of these local music stores would have hours outside of a standard job and weekend hours to support all the local musicians.
