Isle Dauphine is good for recreation golf. I call it my Old Tom Morris golf course. Kinda rough but relaxed and great views of the Gulf of Mexico.
Well….the course is nowhere near a quality course. Sand everywhere, greens are horrendous, but sadly we kinda expected that. On to th3 good stuff….the employee was pleasant…even though the prices for what you play on are absolutely unreasonable. Rented clubs were fine, charged us $1.50 for rehash golf balls…its definitely close to a golf scam, save your money and play elsewhere, unless you just understand, that the putt putt course on the island is gonna put this place to shame. We did however make.some memories….I get that the course is under fairly new management, and they are working on it….but I shouldn’t have to pay semi-private course prices for a course that is embarrassing to the game of golf….charge accordingly until you get it up to “par”

I haven’t golfed this place, I watched a hole from the parking lot and the green is bumpy and mostly sand. Fairways need maintenence, just an al around mess.
The people here are nice, BUT, this is the worst golf course I’ve ever been on. It is in terrible condition. Save your money. On the other hand, the restaurant on premises has really good food.
Near unplayable, whole course is sand. Don’t waste your money to play golf here. Picture of green below

Very nice and relaxing place. My husband and I went about 7am and without noticing it was after 3 pm when we left. We did catch some fish also.

Good place to spent an afternoon fishin.
Very crowded almost every time I visit here and you better not bring any alcohol. But once your there you can buy it out of their over priced store no problem. The upside to cedar point is it’s the only place in mobile (that I know of) were you don’t need fishing licenses to fish and they rent you everything you could ever dream of needing. Just load the kids up in the car and go. Bring chairs though. I’m not sure if they have chair rentals.
Good place for sheepshead fishing.

First of all the owners are crazy and the staffs take the money and go and other staffs aking to pay from us again.
When I inquired before I went here, they said that the fishing pass was valid for 24 hours once I bought it. So we arrived at 3 AM on May 25th and my husband were paying by credit card when fishing and then taking a rest at 10 AM in the morning. My other family member and children woke up at 7:30AM in the morning and paid for the fishing pass by cash also.
11am other staff come and told me to pay the money again from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. I told the staff “my husband was sleeping right now so i will ask when he woke up and let you know”. He said “Yes”
And after an hour, someone who comes to us and shouts and says he will call the police if you are not leave immediately.
It was so absurd that I showed the receipt but he was stubborn. That was two owners.
He Doesn’t have any reason and no any explanation. It was very rude enough.
Even he did not pay back for four adults and two kids’s ticket two times.($60)
He given $6 cash and said go ouf now.
I didn’t get a money because that I never seen owner’s attitude like that.
He already talk with one lady staff and he knew there staff’s mistake.
Why i did reviw like longer?
I don’t want to someone has same situation as me again.
We are going to there for 6hrs after work the Memorial weekend trip and spend gas for two of the RV $400 with conformation from them on the phone.
I have enough money to enjoy to go anywhere.

Andy’s is great if you know what you want, but don’t plan on testing anything. I had planned on buying an Epiphone half stack because the price was right and I needed something more powerful than my current amp. But I also had my eyes on two similarly priced Fender and Crate amps. In my limited experience with amp manufacturers, I wanted to test all three. I looked for about 15 minutes. I actually tested for about 10 minutes and at an appropriate sound level that was not obnoxiously loud.
Before I could decide on which one I wanted to spend money on with a limited budget of about $600 the sales rep came and suggested that I stop playing because the owner was becoming perturbed and that I was disturbing other customers. After looking around and realizing there were no other customers, I realized that either A) the sales rep was lying and being a jerk or B) the owner/manager was being a jerk. Either way, I decided that this was not a place that I wanted to give business to, so I took my business back home to Music-Go-Round in Mississippi where everyone is laid back and more than willing to help. I’ve even had the sales reps jam with me while testing out equipment there.
Granted, I’m not the most gifted guitarist, but what I play, I play well. There was no excuse for how I was treated. I’d take Guitar Center over Andy’s any day when it comes to music shops in Mobile.
Good for guitar strings that’s about it
My experience at Andy’s was horrible. I called and ask do they have any piano music for beginners and was told yes. The sales person was friendly over the phone but the minute I arrived her whole attitude changed. She didn’t want to help me. I walked around for about 15 minutes waiting to ask for help but the staff pretended to be busy even when no one was in the store. The minute a Caucasian person walked in, they were at their beck and call ready to help. I was so excited about buying music so I can practice my piano, but after being treated like dirt my attitude changed. I wish people would learn that know matter what color you are, one is know better than the other. Please stop believing that lie!

Great outdoor area. Plenty of seats at the outdoor bar. Live bands on the weekends what more do you want?
Best hamburger in town. And some of the nicest people. Didn’t get the bartenders name. He had lived in Vegas for many years and had returned home. Extremely smart and interesting man. Could have talked to him all day. We will be back.
Nice atmosphere. Got there a little past 10 PM. Everything shuts down at 10:30 PM.
Cool little place we visited last minute after reading so many good reviews. Live music and corn hole was great. Over an hour wait for 1 burger and a grilled cheese!! Not sure if it’s always like that or maybe they were short handed in the kitchen but it was a lonh wait for food. Was so hungry didn’t get any pictures of the food lol. And there was nothing leftover either!!

Good breakfast good food and good service can get a little pricey
Food was great. Our entire party ordered a variety of items and we all enjoyed what we ate. The issue I have is they told us it would be a 30 min wait time, which is reasonable for dinner. I think it took them closer to 45 min to seat us. We then waited approximately another hour and a half before getting our food which we had to box up upon it coming out of the kitchen to get our young child home for bed. If the staff would have just told us it would be over 2hrs before getting our food, we would not have stuck around, but they didn’t, so that is why is gave them low marks. Overall it was not a good experience.
I will say our waiter was great and did all he could to help with the wait.
There was so much salt on our food it was literally inedible ( and I like salt ). The fried okra and hushpuppies must have sat all day long, as both were stale and lifeless. Maybe it was a one off, but If I’m ever in the area again I most definitely will not be eating there.
We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday. It was not busy approximately half full. We were told to seat ourselves which we did. I immediately turned my stopwatch on and we sat and sat and sat for literally 10 minutes before we got up to leave. During this time four servers walked right by us and never even spoke or welcomed us. A younger female server spent over half our wait chit chatting at the table next to us and never bothered to notice us. As we got up to leave and were walking to the door a server casually asked us if we “decided to change our minds” which means at least she knew we had been there the whole time.
Never in my 48 years of eating at establishments and this includes foreign countries, has this happened, until now. Beyond rude and gross negligence. This was such a poor experience I actually decided to write my first review.

Kevin is a master tech. You won’t find better than him. Skilled, knowledgeable,friendly, thorough. He does it all. Re-frets, fret repair, neck repair, setups, intonation, neck adjustments, refinishing, finish repair…etc.
I buy, sell, trade a ton of guitars. In the last 6 months I’ve gone through over fifty guitars. Every once in a while you’ll run across one where the previous owner tried to be tricky and cover up massive problems that aren’t always noticeable right off of the bat. So far I’ve had two guitars that i thought were beyond repair and Kevin had them back to like new condition in almost no time at all. I’ve taken him simple setups and got back a model of what a perfectly playing guitar should be asking with being ultra clean and lusterously shiny. He may charge a little more than the others but when you drop your guitar off with him you don’t have to worry about getting your guitar back dinged up and missing parts like some big box stores with the word “center” in their name… That sells guitars. If you want a personal tech that you can trust and use for life this is your go to guy.

Using them again, would recommend for any vacation rentals for the island.
Very easy to deal with for vacation rentals. They helped make our trip stress free and fun. I will definitely use them for any future trips to Dauphin Island.

We have mixed feelings about Dauphin Island Real Estate for vacation rentals. After several contact submission forms submitted through their website as well as direct emails to their rental email address asking for quotes on a home for a specific period of time, we still have not heard back and it’s been several weeks. We had this same issue last year when trying to book a rental for a week so it’s not a fluke, it’s just bad customer service. We keep going back and forth between Dauphin Island or another location, and this is an easy way for us to not choose Dauphin Island.
Last year we did end up calling them directly to book, which was another ordeal since the price over the phone was different then the price quoted online. However, our stay was great and the home was clean. Check in was a little challenging since we couldn’t get the lock box to work initially and there was no communication leading up to our check-in date until I reached out a few days prior inquiring about steps to take for check in, lock box code, etc. Communication, responsiveness, and customer service are critical for a good experience and if you want repeat guest loyalty.
The service started off making me a little worried. The first rental property we had rented had gotten sold and we needed a new rental. They didn’t return my four calls or emails over several days, but once the conversation got started, they were very receptive and helpful. Getting Information through their Hospitality App and getting our keys to our rental house (Morning Joy) was easy and efficient. The house could be a lovely place and the location was stunning and perfect for what we wanted. The beach was amazing. The house was very clean and had almost everything we needed. (Only had four wash clothes for 5 people… that was a bit of an issue). The house needs some TLC pretty bad. It looks a bit neglected (water damage on one wall above kitchen counter; half of the front deck stairs are missing and the front stairs have been blocked off, etc.) and the living room furniture is in rough shape. We loved the house though and would stay in it again, but someone really needs to give it some attention. It was very very clean though, so we appreciated that. We had to call DI Real Estate once to ask about the garbage can and they answered right away and were helpful. I am only taking a star away because of the rough start to our communication and the fact that the house needs some repairs.
We rented a vacation property through this agency. During our stay, storms caused severe flooding and a power outage at our unit. During the entire stay the roadway in front of the unit was flooded. Prior to our arrival this agency gave us no warning about the flooded road. As more storms approached, we feared the road would become impassible. We left early to avoid getting stuck. When I spoke with this agency about the problem, they had no concern and simply said there was nothing they could do about it. Use caution booking your vacation with these folks.
We stayed at Heron Walk . When we arrived it was filthy . The sheets had brown stains and hairs in the sheets . We quickly found dirty panties, dirty socks , food, dirty dishes under the bed . Half the lamps didn’t work . The kitchen cabinet was missing a door . There was no trash can . There were 4 plates in the whole place , few cups – we arrived with 8 people. We were promised a cleaning crew but they never came. We DID get some dishes and a trash can delivered as well as some bath towels because there were only 3 in the house and one had a poop looking mark on it . We definitely want to return to the island but won’t use this rental company again .
We stayed here in June 2022. The house was great, spacious and well-kept. Our only issue with the house itself was parking was a mess. There was no place to park, but on the side of the house (which we were told we shouldn’t do). We ended up getting our van stuck and took about 4 hours to pull out.
My rating has nothing to do with the owners, but with the management company and lack of transparency. When we booked this house in January 2022, the website and the pictures portrayed this as a beachfront home. It wasn’t until we got to the location in June 2022 that we saw that a house was built right in front of the house. In addition the app that we were told to use for our stay did not have updated pictures as well, still portraying it as a beachfront home ( they had added one picture sometime after we booked it to the online gallery, which we didn’t look at because we were told to use the app instead).I reached out to the management company to share feedback and ask for some consideration on price and they said that they had notified us properly and that the pricing reflected a Gulfside property (which we would have no way of knowing because when we booked it said gulf front). They said that in our confirmation email, which mind you is AFTER we had booked, had ONE line of fine print at the bottom said that it was Gulfside. On the top of this same email, it still said gulf front. After this response, I did give them feedback to make sure that their listings were consistent across all areas of documentation and pictures, so that guests are not surprised, but I did not receive a response. I try my hardest to share feedback with the company prior to putting a negative review to make sure I am understanding both sides, unfortunately, in this case, the management company stopped responding.
