This the place I would go to as a freshman. It has grown so much since I was here. It still has the rock, down to earth atmosphere that I love so much.
My family and I went to Music Go Round for the first time to purchase my son’s first full size drum set. The customer service was second to none and their inventory is impressive. We will definitely be back again.
Para comprar usado, lo recomiendo mucho, para llevar y vender son buenos los negocios y hay mucha variedad.
Genial
Dope music spot for musicians to window shop. Lmbo.. extremely pricey for donated music equipment. Come on guys give our pockets a little break. But great selection tho! Have visited 3 times but purchased else where. Lol.
If I could give no stars, I would. My daughter found a violin ONLINE that she called this store and asked about. A friend of mine wanted to purchase it with his credit card and have it shipped as a gift to my daughter in Kansas. They refused to let him purchase it with his credit card and ship it somewhere besides his billing address. He called them, and I thought maybe he was just coming across harshly; therefore, I called them. I spoke to Josh (I think that was his name). He told me that they had someone arrested just last week for fraud, and shipping it out somewhere besides the billing address is a “red flag.” Really?? I asked to speak to a manager, and he said that they “manage themselves.” Interesting. I apologized that I would not be purchasing the violin from them, and his response? “We’ll survive.” All I can say is that my daughter’s violin won’t come from this place, nor will I recommend this place. You have products online, people. It is Christmas. They aren’t going to want to purchase something that they can’t ship to someone out of State. You’ll survive, though.
Also, just so the owner is also aware, Josh basically told my friend who planned to by the violin that he would like to have the conversation with my friend in Duluth, GA, and accused him of trying to pull a fast one on him. Over a violin? C’mon! He asked to speak to the owner, and Josh told him he would have to email the owner When my friend told him he was calling from Houston, he hung up on him.
I don’t think training is going to change the cocky attitude.
Got offered $350 for an excellent condition USA Fender Stratocaster with all original tools, trem etc today – IN TRADE against a guitar in their store. Jerry, the sales associate, didn’t even take it out of the case for his “appraisal”. Meanwhile, they have another USA Fender Stratocaster with the same specs (I know, because I looked for the equivalent on their website before even going there) for $900. Oh, wait, there was a difference – theirs is dinged all over. When I pointed that one out, I was told it was “different’. Wouldn’t elaborate why, of course. Because it wasn’t, apart from the dings of course. Won’t be back.
Was told that i wpuldnt have to worry abput getting low balled on my music equipment and that was a lie. Didnt even want cash just wanted a fair trade on an instrument. They seriously tryed to rip me off on my trade ins. Even when one of my items was completly new in box. Cant wait to see how much longer that guitar sets on there and no one buys it. Waisted two hours of my day and gas. Would have brought these guys lots of good buisness with new trade ins and buys on equipment.
3. Rockys Music
Address: 113 Front St, Sylvester, GA 31791 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
The absolute best music store! The owners are beyond knowledgeable about any music situation you could have. They are very friendly and very helpful. Rockys Music carrys many name brands and even carry Rockys signature Lyman guitars. Highly recommend this place!
Great store, nice people.
Do not in fact open at 10.
4. Guitar Center
Address: 2480 Briarcliff Rd NE Suite 13, Atlanta, GA 30329 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Thank you to the manager and staff of the RENTALS department made everything quick and easy, very professional and friendly highly recommend it for your audio RENTAL needs
Muy linda las cosas que venden
Knew exactly what I needed!!!
Amazing selection of instruments, I’m a guitar player and entering this stores is like going to a candy shop for a little kid. Also great service from the staff, they are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Lots of audio stuff for everyone!
Beginner to Professional!!
Knowledgeable employees too.
Most stuff in Stock.. Or ship to home free!
Rental equipment available also.
Great place, plenty of memories and familiar faces usually. Only catch I’d say now is that if you get a quote about something over the phone make sure you get a name. For the longest time this place had the same employees that knew half of the faces in music in Atlanta. New people working more often is not a good thing guitar center. Retain your employees
I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt again. However they lived up to my expectations as usual. Hardly anybody was in the store when I came in and still no one offered to assist me. This happens every time I come into this store. No I don’t think it’s just me because they don’t know me that well. I’m sick and tired of coming to this store and receiving way below customer service. Either the store manager or the corporate office needs to do something about this store. I will never ever come to this store again. For them to be operating as a music store they totally suck at it.
GARBAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE…
Rented speakers and a mic for my grand opening, it stopped working 15 mins into the program. Why you asked, because the battery went dead.
5. Bill Hardin Music
Address: 4661 Chambers Rd, Macon, GA 31206 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Very friendly young man working today. Have done business with them for many many years and they always have great service
Sometimes they have a piano outside for you to play
Staff was very helpful and caring. This seems like a great community-style store whose employees want to know their customers. They had a good selection of instruments from keyboards and guitars to band and orchestra instruments. I’ll be coming back here
Manager is the worst kind of human being. Do not shop here. Would never go there again.
Poor customer service and very rude! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for any future business transactions.
This place was better in the past than it is currently. The employees were all sitting around in a circle talking and were clearly staring at me whilst I looked around at their selection of products. I was asked several times if I needed help finding anything to the point of annoyance. I told them numerous times that I was not shopping for anything specific and that I was there to look at their selection since I haven’t been there in years. Upon first glance, they moved their small selection of electric guitars into what was the acoustic guitar room (which is very small). They also moved all the acoustic guitars into the main area. Why? I understand that they may sell better there, but that room was literally engineered for acoustics. In addition, they put up signs asking for assistance for playing each guitar in the shop as well. I don’t think they can make it any harder to actually buy something here. Here are my recommendations for improvement. Employees should maintain a professional manner and not have mannerisms that resemble a lunch “get together” where you are sitting in a circle chatting with one another. Secondly, the acoustic guitars need to be in the acoustic room and the electric guitars need to be back in the main part of the store. The sole reason that room was constructed was for sound acoustics. Finally, listen to the customers. It’s evident when employees don’t listen to customers. In my case, I said that I did not need assistance, yet I was sequentially asked four or five times if I needed any.
Chris at Ruth Guitars is pretty much the only person I trust w my gtrs. I play over 200 shows a year, and trust Chris w all my electronic work, set ups, he’s even lent me a couple custom made LG Series guitars for high profile gigs. His custom builds come standard w superior hardware including premium handwired pickups. From repairs to tone-shaping and beyond, Chris at Ruth Guitars always goes above expectations and over-delivers a product that is eye-catching, fun to play, sounds impossibly good, custom made to your specs, and affordable. Call him TODAY for any repair or maintenance, its getting cold out! You’ll want to get your hands on one of his numerous custom builds (If you can get it off his wall long enough I recommend the black LG model) and start spec’ing YOUR handmade custom model. Pictured below is the TC model w literally too many tonal options to list here. Your tonal palette is only limited by your own imagination. Chris can bring your dream sound to your hands! I wish I could give more than 5-stars!
So, I brought my project guitar to Ruth Guitars that I’ve been holding onto for years. I asked him to build it how he would like it. Oops! Turned out way better than I had ever thought! He was able to install the neck, wire in a crazy cool pick up, added strings and locking bar for the tuners. Superb work! I’ve played several of his guitars and they all have great action and are super comfortable! Highly recommended!
7. Jerry Lee’s Music Store
Address: 101 West St Patrick St, St Marys, GA 31558 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Travellers, jerry’s lee’s music store is a must stop for the music lover. Jerry lee also hosts the open mike at Seagles restaurant, which is a fun time so go check that out in the riverview hotel in historic downtown St Mary’s ga. The music store is filled with beautiful guitars — acoustic and electric and the brand name is breed love. It is handmade from a tree out of the pacific northwest made in the united states. It plays like a martin guitar but doesn’t cost like one. Check it out. we recommend.
Jerry is an absolutely amazing and patient guy!! I had gotten lessons while I was here on a business trip and he helped me out by walking through the steps of playing guitar, and slowed everything down for me to understand better. He doesn’t rush progress, so there’s no need to hurry, thankfully!
I recently got a acoustic and a ukelele from him (for very good prices, and still works the same, compared to big name brands such as Guitar Center or Sweetwater) and i love them both, and practice when I have time to do so!!
He also is pretty local, just down the street from the waterfront and does do open mic nights. He knows some pretty good spots that most newcomers probably wouldn’t know or hear about! Thanks for the memories, Jerry!! I appreciate you guys!!!
-Koby
Great customer service and patient with my little one with lessons. Great selection of Instruments. Great people.
It’s pretty cool. Like the people there.
Nice people. They also offer classes at reasonable prices for any aspiring musicians.
Neat little music shop with some quality products. Not a huge selection, but they have what you need.
If you are into electric guitars, the selection is very limited, and even the ones in stock had problems.
8. Guitar Center
Address: 970 North Point Dr Suite A120, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Great service and selection. Will definitely return to this location.
Very resourceful for informing to Musicians Artist and Singers
Guitar center is great place to go I go with my brother all the time he plays Guitar and I play accordion Guitar center doesn’t disappoint though need a guitar, piano drums, just about anything
Very nice place to find every kind of musical instrument.
Average selection of gear
Good staff and service how ever they are too busy to answer questions usually.
It’s guitar center. I figure it was my own fault for buying anything more than picks or strings from guiTarget, but I bought a brand new Yamaha a/e to bring it home and find the electronics were completely nonfunctional. Never heard of a music shop that doesn’t test its gear— though it is a stretch to call guitar center a music shop. Thanks for the memories guiTarget.
Its a pathetic store with even more pathetic staff.. The folks have no knowledge of the equipments in their own store.. I wanted to purchase Bose PA system and I had to help them set that system up since they did not know anything about Bose. Secondly, the price tags are expired and the staff knows nothing. I went there with a $20 coupon and saw a nice stand for $25. The guy quoted me $18 bucks out of nowhere.. When I asked about the coupon, he goes.. “I think the price tag on the isle has expired, so u can either pay $18 or feel free to pay $25”. Ridiculous!!! Never going there ever again.. Alpharetta Guitar Center sucks.. Plz stay away or get ready to get disappointed. They have nothing in that store. I may have gone there atleast 8-10 times and everytime I asked for something, their answer was.. “We currently dont have it in stock, call us in a day or two and we should have it”. After calling, they said “sorry its not available”. On the other hand, I had a brilliant experience at the Lawrenceville store. Plz ask for Mike out there and he will go out of his way to help.
Just walked out of this store. Went in to possibly buy an overdrive pedal. Was in there for almost an hour and not a single sales person approached me to see if I needed help with anything. They would avoid eye contact. The store was not busy at all!
9. Vintage Musical Instruments
Address: 42 Public Square S, Dahlonega, GA 30533 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
A small upstairs shop that has a great vibe going on. They are also very friendly and helpful.
Great place to get a nice guitar.
I live in Atlanta, and I was spending the weekend close by Dahlonega, I found this shop and dropped my guitar for some adjustments, knowing it would take me a couple hours round trip to pickup again. Best decision ever, my 25 year old Takamine feels brand new again. Ken knows his stuff and is a beautiful person. Awesome experience.
I was disappointed with the repair work done on my guitar. It wasn’t a horrible job but it wasn’t a good job either.
The luthier wasn’t able to polish the frets because they didn’t have any high grit sandpaper so, I had to “polish” the frets with my strings from play wear and now my frets are “polished” very unevenly.
He seemed to do an okay job with the fret leveling and crowning but there are still some noticeable corners on about half of the fret edges and especially on the higher frets where people usually don’t play. (You can tell how he had it laid on the table because one side is relatively smooth and the other looks like it barely got any attention along with the nut which is just as sharp as before)
He also got multiple dings and scratches on my guitar neck. Which I personally don’t mind on the specific guitar I sent in, but I would be quite irritated if it happened to a higher end guitar. (It’s named ‘Rawhide’ which explains the guitar well)
So, pretty much I paid for an incomplete job where if I had the proper tools I could have done it myself and probably much better.
I’m not trying to start anything and I don’t want to get the Luthier in trouble, I just want to see quality work from the Luthier so *if* I ever bring in a higher end guitar I won’t have to sleep in fear worrying about possible damage.
My recommendation for the Luthier is if someone pays you to level, crown and polish frets, make sure you have ALL of the necessary tools and really take the time to do a good job on ALL of the frets. Also make sure to keep the guitar safe in the process.
If I had known what to expect for what I paid for, I would have pressed the Luthier to finish the job, but at the time I didn’t know what high quality frets were like.
Lastly, on an unrelated topic that really goes to personal preference, they require masks to enter the store, no exceptions. I don’t support being muzzled for a virus with a 99%+ survival rate and even 95%+ if you’re over the age of 70, where it’s so “deadly” you require a medical test just to see if you have it, and asymptomatic spread has been proven to be extremely rare, if not just another myth to keep us living in fear.
But to each their own.
Went to store this morning at ten after 11 and no one was there.
I’m very disappointed in this “business” we had taken a family heirloom to him to be repaired, he said it would take two weeks. Hey, great you got a deal. Let’s go ahead and pay for it so you will have the money on hand to pay for the parts and your time. Three weeks later we have to call and the guitar still isn’t finished. Four weeks later we call once again it’s still not done. I go to the “business” to see if it’s even been touched, and low and behold it had not. He had already told us that sales from other people come first with it being around the holidays. Wait wait so a sale that was already made gets placed last?! That was my daughter’s Christmas present as well to hear the guitar play once again that her papa had gave to her 10 years ago, then he pasted away. I will never trust this place again repairs or to buy from!
10. Southern Music Company
Address: 1102 16th Ave E, Cordele, GA 31015 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Great folks and they are straight up about things.
Very friendly and professional services. They are reasonable on prices. All around great store very clean. Very good items to choose from.
Great guys. Stopped in off the interstate and they fixed up some minor issues with my steel guitar, no charge. So helpful and friendly that I bought some things anyway.
This is a nice locally owned music store. Very good selection of guitars and other musical instruments. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by and support a small business!
Cool
11. Town Center Music
Address: 4072 Suwanee Dam Rd NW, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Went in with an Ibanez Jem Jr. Hoping to get a sustainiac put in and Dustin was able to do it very quickly! Everything was perfect and the staff was very knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommend!
Having done a lot of research into buying my 1st electric guitar, a friend highly recommended Town Center Music. Having visited, I can see why they were so highly recommended. A family owned business, managed by and staffed with skilled, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable people, I was never rushed and given the opportunity to play any guitar I wanted. I did not go there to buy a guitar yet, but Justin was so helpful and mentioned their layaway plan, I put down my deposit. I asked for an amp recommendation and after Justin asked enough questions of me and how I planned to use this new instrument (Gretsch, Les Paul body style), he recommended an amp that is small but powerful and perfect for my needs. I could not be happier and can now highly recommend Town Center Music to anyone that cares about customer service, small local business and quality products.
Aaron was very helpful both over the phone and in person. He made great recommendations for how to store my vintage ukulele and had a keen interest in providing a meaningful service. Plus, his prices were better than what I could find online.
Taught my kids to play guitar
Good
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Store is dirty poor selection not real big
Took down my review. Owner ultimately seemed to care about his customers. Too bad everything is so politically incorrect. Anyone still remember Archie Bunker?
But to clarify what idiot would try to exchange something opened, like a reed.
Amazon prime still winnnning.
Wow. Just called Town Center Music. Someone answered. I started asking about a guitar I’m looking for and got cut off mid-sentence by the guy talking loudly to a co-worker. When he stopped talking I said hello? Hello? Nothing. A few seconds later he hangs up.
12. Firehouse Guitars & Music
Address: 612 Medlock Rd, Decatur, GA 30033 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
One of the best places to get anything for your guitars or your music needs they also offer guitar lessons
I called to get information about Guitar Lesson
Pete was so helpful signed up for Saturday classes
And the prices are reasonable ❤️
I stopped into Firehouse for the first time yesterday and I was blown away by the amazing people that worked here. I came in with a specific problem – protecting my guitars for an upcoming move – and the two guys working there both listened to my quandary and helped me come up with a solution. They were super attentive and friendly, knowledgable, and seemed to really love what they were doing. The simple kindness that they showed to me has decidedly made me an eternal fan of the store. Not to mention that the two people who were working there both kept their masks on the whole time. I just feel like that’s a show of human decency.
A few days prior, I went to a large chain music store nearby and the employees there just acted too cool to really give concern to my issues and NO ONE was wearing a mask. I mean, halfway through helping me, the employee picked up a guitar and started playing lol. I was like, “bro, I’m talking to you??” (didn’t say that, but I definitely thought it)
Listen. Don’t go to any other store in the area. These guys care about everyone that walks through the door – I can just tell. My only regret is that I didn’t catch the names of the two guys so that I could mention them directly. Show some love to the local guys. You won’t regret it.
This is a pretty good little store. I bought my guitar and amp here
Rip off.go elsewhere. I use to really like bringing my daughter here but they must be under new management. Prices have gotten ridiculous!!!
13. Ken Stanton Music
Address: 6010 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
So much better then guitar center, Jacob was very helpful.
Ken Stanton music has outstanding customer service. This time of year the store is very busy with school instrument rentals. The 6 staff members and 2 extra part time employees work as fast as they possibly can with each customer. My husband and I purchased a high end guitar and waited patiently for our turn. The staff could not have been more helpful, professional and knowledgeable of their products. We tell everyone one we know who is interested in purchasing an instrument at Ken Stanton Music in Alpharetta.
Thanks to Jared and the staff at Ken Stanton on North Point. Very friendly and knowledgeable, great selection, and my new guitar plays beautifully!
All 3 times I’ve been there, I’ve felt very welcome, especially by Glenn. Knowledgeable and friendly, and he has a calm, relaxing presence. From pianos to guitars to ukes, it’s hard to leave this store! 🙂
Friendly, very helpful
I am visiting from Las Vegas and found Cheney Brannon, in the drum department to be friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to spend a few minutes with me. Cheney will be getting a call from me next year when I will be ready to buy my new Tama Star or Starclassic kit……
Horrible experience ! My son has to rent a band instrument from this company. We received the instrument at school with the promess that if he would change his mind we could go to the store and exchange the instrument not problem. After 10 days he wanna to change the instrument, we went to the Alpharetta location. NOBODY would know what to do. Firs we were told that we were moot in their system because they haven’t had enough time to enter all the customers of the past 2 weeks. We wait for one hour and a half before someone had a clue of what to do. They were happily taken new customers, new rentals but not us. To make it worst finally the manager figure it out but ran my credit without my personal approval for a “rental”! Are you kidding me???
It was at least 15 employees at the store at that time, even tried other instruments took forever because they did not had enough mouth pieces available. My son had to decided between 2.
I wish I won’t have to go again but sadly our school is working with this company. If you can decide run away as fast as you can.
I have invested over 5 hours trying to return a rental. They good not find on their system. Sent me on a goose chase calling one number after another. Finally when nothing was resolved, manager did a ton of research to find it. I decided not buy it out and came to store just now to return it and once again they can’t find it in their system. I guess its on the customer to keep on the information. Now we are starting all over again. Perhaps I will just keep they instrument as they don’t seem to know/prove I have it!
I bought a flute here then a month later it breaks while doing an E flat I am upset because I went again got it repaired then 3 days later it breaks
14. Guitar Center
Address: 4551 Billy Williamson Dr Suite 160, Macon, GA 31206 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Give the big guy with tattoos and gauge earrings a raise.
Friendly and helpful!
Michael S., you sold me a lot that day, but it was the sticks that you intentionally, but accidentally, introduced me to that did it.
Great selection of guitars. The acoustic room is awesome.
Cool place, found the perfect quitar for my son 🙂 just watch out, they will try and make you spend every dime you got! I suggest going in and looking for what you want, don’t let them tell you what you need because they will undoubtedly pick you out the most expensive of what they have.
Friendly, helpful staff. No a very big store. Lots of guitars, not much to see for drums.
Was in the store to buy a lav microphone system couldn’t decide between the BLX shure or the Sennheiser xsw1. Watched a guitar center review on my phone and looked up the reviews against each other. In the store for 45 minutes and not a soul spoke to me.
Let’s just say, this crew..definitely do not greet all people type. They greet one type and watch the other.. take your money to Sweetwater or Vintage King..
I’m rating this at a 1. First off i called to see if guitar center could help me on my budget of $125.00 out the door for a Fender I Liked. This is day 2 someone there said they could help.i wasted time and gas these 2 days to accomplish nothing. Well this day wrapped up doing business with guitar city. I get paid monthly and was going to get all my starter band equipment here but the manager on this day Tuesday May 21st would not sell the used Fender wich was marked at $125.00 and I had $125.00 in my budget I had explained to Michael that works there. The manager said he was on lunch. I was highly dissatisfied with the store not working with me and saying out the door would be $127+ I guess there are other places. I will come back to my post later to see if a owner or someone higher in management read my post. Cause $2 and some change to let $125.00 Ihad to buy this walk out the door. Was Trying to start playing Gospel songs for our Lord. GOD Bless ❤

WOW!!! Retail Manager Cailey is AMAZING!! She is very knowledgeable, very customer focused and was able to help me find combo deals & discounts that I was unaware of. Thank you for putting a music professional on your staff. Please seriously consider promoting her or giving her a raise for training your up and coming employees. She is a asset to you and your parent company Guitar Center, Inc.
I’ve been here a few times, and they have a big hiring problem. They are stealing the best people from all the other jobs. Either that or the musical kids are just the best… Either way, this place is truly a diamond in the rough if you know what I mean.
Cailey S. helped me tremendously when I went to the store on 3/25/2020. She was amazing! She tuned my guitar and showed me how to use a tuner, she certainly took the time and she was such a very pleasant person. She should be the next in line for promotion. She’s great with customers. Ellen of Woodstock
Good service and very knowledgeable
M&A is receiving 2 stars because of their poor customer service center. The brick and mortar shops are great – no issues. They have a great selection of instruments, knowledge, and aim to serve the customer. The customer center in Frederick, MD is abysmal to say the least. I experienced a series of billing issues related to a credit card on file, and I was not contacted by M&A until I received a notice from a debt collector regarding a debt consisting of 3 months of payments. The customer service representative took my credit card information over the phone and processed the payment and enrolled me in AutoPay. Sounds like my problem was resolved, right? No, I had provided my credit information two months prior and enrolled in AutoPay two months prior, thus my groundhog’s day experience pushed me over the edge.
I had billing / accounting problems with M&A on two separate instrument rentals. Their rent to own contract is very confusing, not sure why my children’s school recommended M&A. To cap off the accounting issue, M&A does not provide balance or payoff information for your rental. I find it useful to know my rental balance and early payoff balance each month. It helps me make good financial decisions, but I do not believe M&A wants you (the customer) to make financial decisions that negatively affect their bottom line.
I’m curious if M&A will respond to this review. Usually companies with a strong customer service culture do.
They tried several times to take $800 out of my account for rental. Had to cancel my bank card-
The lady who waited on us basically turned us down on every option we had to schedule a fitting for an instrument. She didn’t have very good customer service skills. Seems if she wanted our business she would have said “let me see when we can do this for you”. I realize it is a busy time of year but it is not the customer’s fault. I called the Johnson’s Ferry store in Marietta and was met with a much friendlier response.
16. Guitar Center
Address: 1455 Pleasant Hill Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30044 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Very knowledgable and helpful. Huge selection. Ask for PJ.
The staff at this store is really good, they were very helpful and insightful.
Best music store Around
You know how to take care of customers that some of them knots not what I expected them to be
Wish they had more technical help with more equipment such as lighting and audio gear. Customer service is good
The building is nice, the people can be hard to get a hold of in the store. Big open spaces, very cool acoustic guitar section. The people are friendly. The service can be hit or miss. I’ve had both good and bad experiences. Last time it took three different trips to get a guitar that I had ordered. I paid for next day shipping and it got there 5 days later. But I was told the guitar would be there 3 different times. Other than that, it’s been alright
I have been a customer of Guitar Center for twenty years now, and recently had one of the worst retail experiences of my life at this location. While shopping for strings yesterday (04/ 08/ 2022) and considering a purchase of what would have been my fiancés first bass, a sales associate began to give a demonstration of a PA system to another customer. Normally, this is a perfectly fine and normal scenario for a store that sells music equipment. However, this particular employee chose to crank this system to a level comparable to a concert setting, prompting most other customers in the store to halt their time trying out their potential purchases and wait for this demonstration ( which lasted three to four minutes,) to end. Unfortunately for me, I ended up leaving the store before it ended. I am not usually inclined to leave a review. However, my fiancé (who is on the spectrum,) had to cover their ears and was on the verge of crying from the sheer magnitude of noise inside of a store that was admittedly far too small for a speaker to be cranked as loud as it was. So after waiting at the register for five minutes without being acknowledged by a single employee, I decided to leave the items I picked up behind at the counter so I could get my partner out of the store as swiftly as possible. This experience was entirely unnecessary and unprofessional and I will not be spending my money at this location ever again.
Went to get a mandolin and the guy seemed like he didn’t want to give me the time of day! He was very rude! I was very disappointed.
I bought a microphone and asked for any recommended accessories. They gave me something totally not compatible. When I went back they didn’t take it back because I didn’t pay for the insurance. It was the same day and they were in the wrong. So I didn’t like my experience.
17. CMO Blue Star Music Group
Address: Atlanta, GA 30318 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Awesome place for buying most of your music needs. They also teach indivual lessons for those who need a helping hand in learning how to play an instrument
Everytime I go by the door is locked. Even if the surf isn’t up. Was really wanting to go to a local shop before I flew back home.
19. Music & Arts
Address: 119 Cobb Pkwy N, Marietta, GA 30062 , Ribeira , Georgia , United States
Great store! Largest selection and nicest staff in Atlanta.
My name is Jacques Pittman I love y’all Ken Stanton music
Very helpful, professional, & courteous. BTW, Stu is the best ukulele teacher ever!
Much bigger than it’s cousin on Dallas Hwy. Has okay prices. The staff are fairly helpful. Nothing spectacular.
Nice place, nice workers, but, sometimes, the prices are higher than Guitar Center on the same products.
Recently started teaching myself guitar, after over 30 years owning one and never learning. My guitar needed new strings and they explained how to install them. Didn’t try to sell me anything else, although I’m sure they would’ve been more than happy to. Recently went into a Guitar Center and got horrible service; false advertising issue. I will return to Ken Stanton Music whenever necessary.
Great customer service
Do not rent from this location has no idea what they doing got my payment all messed up and now owe them they employee mistakes
Bought from them before. Went in with my daughter and God forbid a fledgling musician touch something. It’s not like she was beating on instruments. She was hardly touching them. If I can’t have polite customer service I might as well shop online.
