Best music store I’ve ever been in. At the end of a day, It all comes down to great customer service.
Needed some guitar strings and Jeremy was super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.10/10!
Good place but they don’t carry fender products so
Terrible service. They can’t stay focused on helping the next customer. Nice shop and nice people, but was very disappointed in the service (or lack of) that I received. I got passed over for other customers several times. Not good.

I am so fortunate to have Glenn as my instructor! He is an exceptional musician and teacher. As an older student, he gives me music I want to play and teaches me in a way I want to practice. I learn a new song a week with him and spend our lesson playing and learning, unlike my previous teacher where I got to sit and listen to him play for 30 minutes. You can tell he has a tremendous amount of experience not only playing music (because he knows every song I throw at him off the top of his head), but also teaching. He’s very supportive and empowering. I actually feel like a musician when I leave his lessons, not some scolded child. My lessons are the highlight of my week. Please call him, no matter what your age or ability. With Glenn’s gentle guidance, you will awaken a talent you never knew existed.
I have been taking lessons from Glenn for a few years now on both the acoustic and bass guitars. I began playing an instrument as a 50 year old for the first time and he has inspired me to take it to a higher level than I ever expected. He has also given my teen boys electric guitar and drum lessons. And they both have loved working with him. He is a wonderful instructor!
My grandchildren take ukulele lessons from Glenn and they absolutely love it. Glenn teaches from the minute he walks through the door until the last second of the lesson. No wasted time and lots and lots of fun with a great variety of music that has given the kids a great foundation in chords, music, and rhythm!
We have been working with Sally Piano for over a year now . We used to take lessons in San Diego and recently moved to the Irvine area and found out they offer lessons in the are and we were so excited that we can keep working with them. They have a great music program and our son takes guitar lessons and our daughter takes Piano and Voice. our teachers are so wonderful with our kids and they try to make each lesson fun for them. They have been learning so many songs over the past few months and they are getting ready for their summer recital. Recitals are very well organized and at each recital , they have trophies and prizes for all the kids which keep the kids motivated. They also offer the Piano Guild exams and certifications and we are looking to start that for our kids this year …

Beautiful new School of Rock! Of course the place is an amazing spot to learn how to be a rockstar but this location specifically is gorgeous! From the flooring to the wall art everything is perfect. Right on the beach too! Aside from the vibe of the place the teachers are of course top notch. The guy who owns this place also owns the one in scripps ranch and it’s run just as well. Love this program! Can’t say enough good things about it!
I love the show programs here!
i love sor u should sign up sor is fire
I canceled my services and they charged my account

i’ve yet to see a music program that was so invested in the students. they do a good job really trying to showcase the students’ talents, not just try to teach them a few songs. they try and utilize the children’s interests and actually teach them songs they want to learn. highly recommend it!
I don’t think you could find anyone who cares about her students as much as she does.
he was amazingly candid – he told me I was just to old to learn the piano and to consider the guitar. In his life he had never seen anyone pick up the piano, later in life and be good at it except for 1 person. I wasn’t keen on the piano so his idea stuck with me.
Ms Elena has been my daughter’s teacher since 2018. She has successfully challenged her at the right level to continually advance both her knowledge of music theory and the ability to play difficult pieces. This has resulted in several awards during piano competitions and MTAC exams. Best of all, Ms Elena continues to make piano fun. My daughter is always excited for her weekly lessons. Whether your child is a beginner, intermediate, or advanced piano player, I strongly recommend contacting Ms Elena for a trial class.
Lena is an amazing piano teacher! My daughter has been working with her for nearly 4 years. Lena knows how to teach different kids so that they love piano and music all together. She is very patient. She feels the child and what the child will enjoy to play. Some of her students participate in piano competitions.
Elena is a patient and hardworking piano teacher that challenges my kids with different piano pieces. She’s detail oriented, organized and sets the bar high for my boys. I like the fact that she organizes 2 recitals/year and will encourage my boys to participate in some competitions. My boys have been with her for about 2 years and have improved a lot.

Hadn’t been back to this store in a while as I don’t live in North County anymore, but I use to take guitar lessons here. Great staff and one of my favorite guitar stores. Definitely played a big part in my musical growth.
I just want to thank you guys for a tremendous job you did on my martin D18 acoustic and my telecaster, they have never played so well or stayed in tune as good as they do now thank you guys
Bud has a tremendous knowledge of music. He goes over & above – completely out of his way to help. He loves music & it shows.
If you love music, especially guitar, you should definitely visit his shop
The shop leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve only dealt with the repair side of the shop, and after the last incident, I won’t be returning. The greying owner is of little to no value. Unhelpful. I brought a piece of gear to get fixed back in September or October of 2020. After about 4 weeks, I called the repair guy and he hadn’t yet looked at it. Understandable as he said they were busy. Another 4 weeks go by and I still hadn’t heard anything back, so I decide to call. The repairman had taken a look, couldn’t quite figure out the problem and said he’d be able to drop it off in a week as he just did a drop off and told me he tried to call me. When? I received no calls from him, no missed calls, nothing! I called this shop multiple times. Showed up 3 times between December 2020 and February 2021 during hours posted and nothing. Lights out. No sign. Nothing. Finally, after roughly 6 months of waiting to pick up my still broken gear, I called and finally got through to someone. He stated they were open till 6 and I told him I could be there by 545 and he said, “Well, I have things to do later” as if he wasn’t planning on even staying open that late.
Would’ve appreciated any sort of updates on the status of my gear instead of having to jump through hoops to figure out what was going on. Poor communication, rude service.
The owner of this store is the worst I’ve ever seen at any music store I’ve been to. I asked him to setup my guitar specifically to a lower tuning which he had no problem with and a full setup. The thing was, I was considering selling this guitar and possibly trading in for another one. So this guy gives me the offer that if I don’t like his setup, and it’s not perfect, I could trade mine for one of his on the wall. I said that’s a good idea because I barely had any money at the time. After the job the guitar had horrible tuning stability, dead frets, and a notch in one of the frets he told me that made the guitar unsellable and he wouldn’t touch it. Unbelievable I try to take it over and over again to get him to do the job right and he says the guitar isn’t meant for lower tunings. Maybe it would’ve been better to mention that at first. Pathetic. Waste your money elsewhere if you’re a sensible person
Place is cluttered with old equipment and guitars being worked on to the point where it feels unsafe to walk around to look at guitars on display. As for the guitars on display their all out of tune, dusty and not setup so they don’t feel playable. The man working the front seemed knowledgeable but reluctant to try and sell anything or help find guitars that weren’t up on display. Selection of gear seems limited/ used and or ill-maintained. Amps could not be tested because guitar lessons were taken place in the other room that must not have been sound proofed. I can’t speak for how good the guitar lessons are but as for the rest of the shop it seemed neglected and appeared to have no interest in selling any gear.

16. St Peter’s Thrift Shop

Great place to find China dishes for Thanksgiving and Christmas at great prices.
Great thrift store. Upper end items. In the heart of Del Mar near the ocean. Sometimes you can hear piano rehearsals going on upstairs. Very nice.
Great current book selection!
Not a lot of parking
cheap baRgains available
This store is very sad.The workers arent friendly actually a little rude, probably due to a GREAT need for Organizers and Help. This parish should support there store .It is a complete mess. They need to for not put out dirty and pilled items. As l pricing on dishes ect they furniture
they are ridiculously overpriced..345.00 -500.00 for used China is crazy
Poor layout and selection of items. Very disappointing, I will not go back.
They promote online that they help people, and they take your money to do so. But they turn away people in need. That’s not a church I would want to belong to.
17. James Nichols- Solana Beach Guitarist-Guitar and Piano Teacher
Small with big sound. Comfortable and quaint. Easy to walk from parking. I love this little venue for concerts. Yes please and always !
Very cool, intimate venue.
Staff seemed a little inexperienced but that may be because that was the second event that was held there
Great venue. The acoustics are nice. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because they don’t accept cash anywhere. Also, the box office was having issues retrieving will call tickets. It happened to me and a few other people waiting in line.
Decent venue with potential. Nasty bathrooms. Sound quality is great. Food is meh. Drinks are super expensive.
Great venue for watching a concert. Lots of reserved seating as well as general admission floor space. Plenty of restrooms and bars, so no lines at all. I thought the sound was just a bit off, that’s why I gave only four stars. I will go back.
I really wanted to like this place, especially since I bought tickets to 4 shows before stepping foot in the venue, but I just don’t. First off it is completely devoid of any character or personality – the opposite of places like Belly Up and Observatory North Park – imagine an abandoned ride inside Disney’s future world. It’s just gray cement everywhere with some futuristic lights.
There are a ton of bars – a friend commented that it felt like the place was made for drinks first, music second. But here’s the thing, the drinks are horrible! All cans of beer and seltzer are gigantic (24oz) and since you’re holding them at a show, the drink eventually gets hot! Hot IPA – NOT OK, lol. You want a mixed drink? They have liquor and they can mix it with soda – no whiskey and Coke though, they only have Pepsi. And if you don’t drink? Well, sugary soda and water are your options. They should just call the bars Diabetes.
The music sounds fine IF you are on the floor in front of the stage. If the show is sold out, it’s really uncomfortable in this venue. People get agro when you try to find room on the floor so you’re forced to stand off to the side of the stage and it sounds terrible over there.
Overall, I am really disappointed in this place and the WORST part – shows that would normally be at the Observatory are now here, and I love the Observatory.
A couple things I think could make this venue a little better – cover the big gray walls with colorful murals and hire a bartender to revamp your cocktail (and mocktail) selection. Even some cans of Lacroix would be an improvement! Parking should be free, not $15-$30.
They oversell the floor by a factor of 1.5 and staff doesn’t know how to handle it. If you have a GA ticket, show up at doors for a spot or else commit to not being able to see stage.
I’ll
