Excellent quiche, croissant, coffee, ambiance and service! Don’t pass up this spot.
Really friendly baristas. The coffee is great all roasted in-house. The owner was also in the shop got a chance to speak to him. Really friendly and nice person. Will come back again.
Literally the best coffee I’ve ever had!
UPDATE: Coffee quality has gone downhill since new ownership. The food is also awful and seems microwaved.
Great coffee! You can actually taste the coffee in their blended drinks – you can tell they use very high quality expresso. The owner is always nice. Also, their paninis are good (pretty filling – I usually eat half).
Dark chocolate cherry latte is great
First visit to Elevation Coffee and I really liked it. Wonderful coffee smells when you walk through the door. Extensive menu and the owner took time to make sure we liked what we ordered. Offered a substitution if we wanted. The coffee was wonderful and the baked goods looked yummy. I’m leaving a 4 star review because this is a new business and I foresee small changes as they get more experience behind them. Maybe some separate seating areas. Maybe some cozy seating or outdoor seating? Maybe a better cream and sugar station. Little things because this is really an enjoyable place to hang out already.
I loved those place, but now there is a sign that says “Closed until further notice”
Nasty
I ordered a breakfast bowl and it was 90% cilantro and it was cold and our coffee was bitter and not sweet.
3. John’s Corner Music Shop
Address: 8680 AZ-69, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Dewey-Humboldt , Arizona , United States
Went there yesterday. Jack fixed my guitar and put strings on. The price is so reasonable it’s hard to belive.
And Jack well can’t say enough about him.
Thank you guys for everything!!!!
Just left John’s Corner Music Shop. As a guitar players fiancé I’m constantly dragged to various music stores. This one was the only store I genuinely enjoyed. I dont play any instruments but John sat me down with a guitar and a slide and showed me that anyone can play. He kept me occupied while my fiancé explored the shop.
They have hard to beat prices, and wonderful service. There is no pressure to buy but trust me you’ll want to just to support this local buisness.
John and his crew are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. John took the time to teach me a few things about my instrument and did a few quick adjustments. He also showed us some of his projects. This man is incredible!
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
4. PRESCOTT VALLEY MUSIC – PV MUSIC
Address: 8561 Florentine Rd suite a, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Dewey-Humboldt , Arizona , United States
Great store! I’ve been doing business with Russell for years. He has the best music store in the area. David & Trenton are so helpful & knowledgable. I always feel so welcome when I walk through the door. This store is truly a gold mine!!!
David has taken our daughter from annoying to impressive in 1 short year…. we have enrolled 2 of our nephews in lessons now…. he’s a great instructor and businessman
Really nice guys, and owner, brought in “Cheap Toy Travel Guitar” for nut upgrade, walked out with an actual instrument after his “3 Hour” critical attention to detail and desire for perfection.
Much more than I expected in service and a little more in cost than I wanted for a Travel Toy Guitar, but again walked out with an actual professional instrument sound.
I Will definitely bring in my other guitars for upgrades.
Went there with a friend.
I stopped by Prescott Valley Music looking for someone to repair my flute. Even though they specialize in guitar repair, he fixed my flute within minutes at no charge. I will definitely go back with my guitar needs.
I think all they sell is USED. Even patch cords. 🙁 Totally disgusting and disappointed.
Don’t buy vinyl from them
Sadly, and most regrettably, I must report that Russell, the proprietor of PVM, used his prior good business standing to consign, endorse, solicit, directly accept partial payment for, a fraudulently, utterly misrepresented $3k instrument, that is so INTENTIONALLY damaged (a 40” gong, sawn into THREE parts, then poorly soldered back together) that it is basically rendered useless as a musical instrument. He also personally/professionally arranged for its delivery and attested to the instrument’s ‘excellent’ condition (all in email and voicemails, still retained as evidence).
Initially responsive, and seemingly aghast, he and the seller he worked with, and as agent for, now decline to correspond or address this, each saying neither or the other is responsible.
A $3k scam?????
BEWARE!!
5. Soundroom
Address: 3050 N Windsong Dr Suite#103, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Dewey-Humboldt , Arizona , United States
The Soundroom and it’s owner have been an A+ pleasure doing business with.
Great small shop. I bought my first guitar from this place. Jay even gave us picks on the house.
Go in all the time always great service and amazing employees
It’s okay place kind of small
Great store… decent prices. Went in for a used classical guitar and came out with a nice one. Came with case even. Added an American -made humidifier, works well. Smaller place, but has the important things. Recommend highly
It’s okay , inside the Mall , didn’t have what I was looking for .
Sux
So, I went here for the first time and the girl behind the counter was NO help. She was too busy to get up and show me where the item I was looking for was. I will not be going back.
Burned by this store over a Reverb purchase. I paid $450 total for a mini french horn they advertised as in “excellent” condition. When I recieved the horn I started noticing that the 3rd valve doesn’t close and open all the way disrupting airflow when pressing and depressing. Even after oiling the valve, there was no change. This horn is non-functional to a player. 1st the store decieded to deny any return or exchange to address the issue immediately. Then I tried to contact Reverb customer care and tried demonstrating this in a video to them. Both the seller and Reverb responded with a guilty until proven innocent skepticism that left me stuck with an unplayable horn. It took a lot of hassle and time away from normal living dealing with both of them. I would advise anyone not to buy a brass or woodwind instrument from this store unless you can inspect it first. Either they don’t play the instrument themselve, or they knowingly sold an unplayable instrument not caring.
I have played horn (F horn) semi-professionally for over 22 years in wind bands, orchestras, and jazz ensembles. I also have extensive knowlege of major brands and makers and designs of horns and am qualified to advise other players.
6. The Blue Note
Address: 3250 Gateway Blvd #262, Prescott, AZ 86303 , Dewey-Humboldt , Arizona , United States
Rick was phenomenal helping my daughter get her first guitar. Thank you!!
Great place
Listed as open on Monday. Drove from Spring Valley to find them closed. Need to correct this.
The owner is a pretty cool guy. Very knowledgeable on everything in the store. He has also made guitars for some of the biggest names in music history.
The owner of this establishment is beyond rude, he didn’t answer any questions (which I believe is because he has 0 knowledge of anything pertaining to his little business) and he over prices everything. I understand it’s a local business so prices will be higher but his USED banged up instruments are at least 70% higher than anywhere else for the same NEW instruments which is unreasonable.
I’ll be shopping at a honest local music shop.
Thank You
7. Gray Dog Music
Address: 231 N Cortez St, Prescott, AZ 86301 , Dewey-Humboldt , Arizona , United States
Nice, friendly family owned shop with a great selection of used guitars and reasonable prices.
Very friendly and honest, I got a great guitar for a great price! I would definitely buy a guitar from here every time I come to Prescott
Its a nice store really small some prices are expensive but overall good store nice customer service
Great atmosphere and good service. The special of a day which was a beef salad was rather mediocre and tasteless.
Owner operator was extremely helpful to blind customer I was chauffeuring
It’s a nice store. But they only sell guitars and related supplies. The pedal selection was weak if I was looking for pedals I would go online. Pretty much zero music scene in Prescott anymore. They cater to trendoids in my opinion. The selection was a huge bummer for me nothing but acoustic guitars.
Gray Dog music is only good for when you need something in an emergency, otherwise there’s no point is paying those prices. Prices that you only realize are so high when you get all the way to the register since almost nothing in the store has a clearly marked price on it. You have to individually inquire for every item… Even there used equipment was priced similarly to buying it brand new elsewhere. To top it off the gentleman working the counter actually got short with me because I kept having to ask what all there stuff cost. Horrible experience would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Parking: The parking is the ONLY good thing about Grey Dog Music.
8. Daniel’s Guitar And Coin Shop
Address: 605 White Spar Rd, Prescott, AZ 86303 , Dewey-Humboldt , Arizona , United States
Haven’t had any problems with these guitars yet. However, if I did, Daniel would know what to do and fix it right the very first time in a decently timed manner!
Friendly, exceptional customer service, extreme care for their stringed instruments, as well as “decently” priced things for sale! Those are what “matters the most” to me about Daniel’s Guitar and Coin Shop.
I can ALWAYS rely on Daniel to help!
😉
You guys rock!!
From,
Parker Minnick
Dropped my guitar while playing and it landed on the cable plugged into the jack which bent both the cable and the receptacle inside the guitar. Figuring I’d have to drop it off for a couple of days, made due for worship service at church to take it in Monday. To my much appreciated surprise, Daniel fixed it in 10 minutes and at a great price. As his slogan says, “he’s my guitar guy” from now on.
Highly recommend.
My “go-to” for all my guitar needs. Fixed a couple of my guitars. I’ve sold some there and bought some there. Friendly and knowledgeable…fair pricing…
9. Tommy Rocks
Address: 110 Main St, Jerome, AZ 86331 , Dewey-Humboldt , Arizona , United States
Tommy was very helpful and has a lot of options of instruments at this location reasonably priced. Also an amazing musician glad I made a trip out here to buy my next ukulele. BTW this town is super cool with lots of fun stores with more awesome people.
Tommy Anderson is a great dude, and has a sweet little shop in Jerome. Please visit him and support the shop.
Rare and Collectible Albums, Instruments and Memorabilia.
I would do this place a disservice by calling it a vintage record store. It is that too, but it’s so much more!
The owner operator is a guy named Tommy Anderson. Aside from being a musician and a defacto musicologist he’s also a great guy and very interesting to talk to.
If you’re into music, his shop is full of fun and fascinating items . Beyond the obligatory Grateful Dead stickers and things like that, he carries things like thousand-piece Pink Floyd puzzles and satirical takes on traditional album covers. He also carries a lot of high-end, really impressive autographed instruments and record albums. Even audiophiles will find equipment that will make their mouths water.
On the other hand if you just want to buy a ukulele or guitar to learn on, he can help you with that and give you great advice as well.
He’s also an accomplished musician and a music teacher.
His store is part museum, part music store, part curio store, and supports local musicians. It’s hard to beat!
If you’re in Jerome and like music history and music paraphernalia, or if you’re a serious collector, you really need to stop in and see this place. While you are there, say hi to Tommy for me. I really had a blast in his store!
Make sure to take a look at some of the photos I posted, to give you a better idea of what you might find in there.
An awesome rock and roll memorabilia shop in historic Jerome Arizona…kind of hard to find tho.
Dude man. Stick to some normal operating hours. I’ve passed through Jerome twice now and you haven’t been opened when you said you were supposed to be. It’s 10:30 am now says your supposed to be open on google. Sorry for the poor review but really wanna check out your store
